It's been officially longer than a year since I last posted gameplay pics...

For the most part of 2022, I couldn't play The Sims because I shared a computer and we couldn't agree on it. Then I played it for like, 2 months (in 2023!) on my bf's computer, but I couldn't take any screenshots 😭 And now, since October of 2023, I've been in England working as a volunteer, with no access to a personal computer. My friend was kind enough to lend me his laptop a few weeks ago so that I could finally play a bit, but it's not ideal because, well, it's his, and he needs it for work outside of the volunteering. I might be able to get my hands on a new laptop soon though (!!!!!!), and I'm really excited about finally being able to remove the "hiatus" from my bio! Or at least replace it with "semi hiatus", you know lol

I obviously won't be able to even remember what's gone on in my households, but at least I'll be back to playing once every few weeks and documenting my stuff. If everything works out, I should be here in one or two weeks, posting unedited screenshots of my game, like I used to, and getting 2 to 5 likes on each post <3 Just how I like it!

Hi! I'm Kaity B (she/her), a 29-year-old Simmer from the USA, and I'm so excited to share my Pleasantview adventures with you! Whether you're new to The Sims or a long-time fan, this post will give you a warm welcome and a helpful guide to my Simblr.

The Charm of Pleasantview 🏡✨

Pleasantview is a neighborhood filled with intriguing stories and beloved characters. My storytelling picks up right after the scripted events of The Sims 2, which set the stage for all the drama and excitement. If you're new to The Sims 2, these scripted events are pre-set scenarios that create a rich backdrop for your gameplay. Here’s a quick rundown of where things stand and what you can expect in my Pleasantview:

The Lothario Household: Don Lothario is a notorious womanizer caught in a love quadrangle with Cassandra Goth, Nina Caliente, Dina Caliente, and Kaylynn Langerak. His upcoming wedding to Cassandra is full of doubts and complications.

The Goth Family: Mortimer Goth is recovering from his wife's disappearance by dipping his toes back into a committed relationship. His daughter Cassandra is engaged to Don Lothario, and his son Alexander is growing up quickly in a house full of secrets.

The Caliente Sisters: Dina and Nina Caliente have recently arrived in Pleasantview under mysterious circumstances. Dina's aim is to marry rich, while Nina seeks excitement. Their arrival coincides with the disappearance of Bella Goth, adding to the town's intrigue.

The Pleasant Family: Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant are struggling with their marriage. Mary-Sue recently caught Daniel cheating with the maid, Kaylynn Langerak. Their twin daughters, Angela and Lilith, are constantly at odds.

The Broke Family: Brandi Broke is dealing with the recent death of her husband, Skip, and the challenges of raising her sons, Dustin and Beau, on her own. An unexpected pregnancy adds to her struggles.

The Dreamer Household: Darren Dreamer is a widower and struggling artist, trying to make ends meet while raising his teenage son, Dirk. He's also harboring a secret crush on Cassandra Goth.

The Burb Family: John and Jennifer Burb have returned to Pleasantview with their daughter Lucy, seeking a fresh start in the town where they grew up.

The Ramirez Family: Checo and Lisa Ramirez have just opened a new furniture store in Pleasantview, hoping to achieve the Simtopia dream while raising their daughter, Tessa.

Rotational Play

Rotational play is a gameplay style where I switch households every in-game week, giving each household 7 days per season. This way, I can keep their stories fresh and unexpected. Unlike the legacy challenge, where you focus on a single family through multiple generations, rotational play allows you to explore and develop multiple families and their stories simultaneously. This method ensures that every family in Pleasantview gets attention and their stories interweave, creating a dynamic and interconnected neighborhood.

Wants-based gameplay means that my Sims' desires drive their stories. In The Sims 2, Sims have specific wants and fears that influence their behavior and mood. I focus on fulfilling their wants, which adds a layer of depth and unpredictability to their lives. By prioritizing their aspirations and fears, I let autonomy stir up some delightful chaos along the way, making the storytelling more organic and engaging.

The Sims 2 Vibes

I've modded my game to mirror the feel of The Sims 2, including aspirations, hobbies, and those quirky chance cards. Dice rolls and creative twists keep things interesting. All stories kick off post-scripted events. In my neighborhood, Don and Cassandra are married, Dina and Mortimer eloped, and Daniel... well, let's say he's had better days.

In the beautiful world of medieval Veronaville and Pleasantview that exists in my mind this is the role of each family

Goths - Royal family, descendents of the firsy Goths who founded simland

Capp - Nobles who come from a cadet branch of the royal family, descendents of a Goth princess and work very closely with the king, Consort is probably some sort of advisor, while Kent has a lower title of marquess while he waits for his father to die, Goneril married a baron while Regan made the best marriage with a duke, Juliette is not a princess but with being a girl of high birth she is expected to marry well, Tybalt is training to be a knight and Hermia doesn't want to get married

Montys - a gentry family, I'm not sure what would their specialty be, I imagine something with wine perhaps they made their money selling wine, the family has a feud with Consort Capp because before he married into a family of higher titles he was helping in the business and was actually one of the founders but as soon as he married he betrayed the Montys and instead sold all their secrets to Contessa who used it to make great fortune to the Capps

Summerdream - nobles who are actually a family older than the Goth family itself, has rumors of witchcraft and for that they are not well seen

Pleasants - gentry class, Angela and Lilith ara ladies in waiting for Cassandra Goth and are expected to thing good matches with the monty boys, Mary Sue is a devout woman, she and Daniel had been courting since they were young and got married as soon as it was allowed, Daniel is a captain knight as if often off in the barracks training boys of low nobleman

Lothario - Runs the local clinic, is the only doctor in the kingdom really

Caliente - The sisters own the local tavern

Burb - peasant class, Jennifer ran away with John to marry him losing all her inheritance in the process

Oldie - gentry class, just the regular oldies but in medieval time

Broke - peasant class, Brandi works at the tavern run by Dina and Nina, but she stops when she realizes she is once again pregnant, due to that Dustin starts a life as a pickpocketer to gain money for his family, he met Angela by accident one day when catching water by the village well and since then they have had a secret affair

Dreamer - merchant class, Darren sells his paintings, unknown to him his son is seeing the heiress Lilith Pleasant in secret

A newsletter bringing you the latest in news about our neighborhood Pleasantview! We are starting this off with a historical overview of our neighbors and who they are.

Oldies

A beloved old couple, Coral and Herb raised Mary Sue Pleasant into the wonderful driven woman she is today. They are looking forward to spending their retirement getting to know their grandchildren and spending time with their daughter.

Burbs

Jenny is the sister of Daniel Pleasant, a woman with a workaholic drive. John is more than happy to stand by her side and support her with all his heart. Their little daughter Lucy hasn't decided what she wants in the world yet, but is looking forward to what she finds in Pleasantview.

Broke

Brandi Broke is the mother of Dustin and Beau. A friend of Darren Dreamer's, she had been happy in her marriage with Skip before his tragic pool accident. Brandi is devoted to her children and wants to give them the best that she can, but even before Skip died the family was poor. Brandi has found herself unable to work, as she has to look after her toddler Beau, leaving teenage Dustin as the sole bread winner of the family. He's found work as a runner for a local gang, but dreams of something larger than a life of crime, more secure. Angela Pleasant, his girlfriend, has all the luxuries he dreams of, and believes if a good girl like her could love a bad boy like him, it may just be possible.

Goth

The founding family of Pleasantview, the Goth family is an ancient lineage steeped in wealth. They have always experienced life closer to southern gothic horror than others may imagine, with mad men, tragic deaths, and more plaguing their history. Mortimer himself was a mad scientist, and a successful one. He married the beautiful Bella, and had two children with her, Alexander and Cassandra. The horrors that stalk the family struck again however, with Bella vanishing and leaving the family in their grief. Cassandra found herself dreaming of a true love that would sweep her away, and thought she found it in Don Lothario, the town's cassanova. They even became engaged! Alexander has clung tightly to his father as his closest friend in his childhood, and watches with caution as Dina Caliente courts his father for possible marriage.

Lothario

A man of pleasure, Don has two goals in life: love as many women as possible, and be admired as a musician. He has successfully seduced his neighbors, the Caliente sisters Dina and Nina, his maid Kaylynn Langerak, and the daughter of the Goth family, Cassandra. Sure Cassandra is far more serious about their relationship than he cares for, but he's sure he can handle it!

Caliente

The mysterious and beautiful Caliente sisters! Both are adoring of Don's love making skills. Nina is more than happy with their relationship as is, she doesn't want to be serious anymore than he does! As long as he gives her enough love she's happy to let him be and focus on her dreams of being a star athlete. Dina of course has always been more monetary focused. Her marriage to Michael Bachelor certainly helped set the pair up with their current lifestyle, but his death has her hunting again. Luckily she knew Michael's sister Bella, and about the Goth family through her. With Bella gone, Dina has her eyes set on a particularly large catch. Don is a far better lover, but Mortimer Goth is where the money's at.

Dreamer

Darren Dreamer is a creative man with big dreams. With his wife Darleen he had his son Dirk. It was a tragedy when his wife died a couple years ago. Slowly they've moved on from there. Darren fell in love with Cassandra Goth, though Cassandra hasn't noticed it, and has been close with Brandi Broke as they shared plans for how to work on a small budget. The family is struggling. Dirk found an escape from this in Lilith Pleasant. She is struggling just as much with life as Dirk is, but together they have found sweet moments of reprieve.

Pleasant

Mary Sue and Daniel Pleasant married some time ago and had baby twin girls. At the start of their relationship, Mary Sue and Daniel were madly in love. Daniel swept Mary Sue away in a wave of passion, and Mary Sue's melting under his attention was addicting. Of course, that changed when the twins were born, and they had to focus on the world beyond each other. It was clear to Mary Sue and Daniel that Angela was a good girl, and Lilith...was not. Of course they didn't do anything bad, they aren't terrible people or anything. They simply left Lilith mostly to herself, instead pouring their hopes and love onto Angela alone.

Mary Sue grew more distant as she became more and more involved with her career, working towards the coveted position of a board holder, while Daniel grew bored and frustrated from his wife always being busy. Daniel turned to the family maid, Kaylynn Langerak, to romance, and enjoy. It was easy to be happy when he could make Kaylynn forget her work under his touch, just like Mary Sue used to when they were younger.

Angela found a reprieve from the expectations of perfection her parents unknowingly placed on her in bad boy Dustin. She does her best to keep Dustin clear of her family, she needs to keep her good girl image up after all. Lilith is bitter from years of her parents favoring her sister over her, and Angela picking on her and claiming everything Lilith tries to claim. She dreams of a life far from her family, perhaps as a chef of some sort. Dirk Dreamer was the first person she can remember to look at her and really see her, Lilith, and not just a poor copy of her sister.

Goth: Cassandra and Don married and are expecting, Alexander aged up into a Fortune teen, and Mortimer is there, too

Caliente: Dina is currently pregnant by Mortimer Goth (although he doesn't know it) and Nina recently started up an affair with co-worker Daniel Pleasant

Broke: Brandi delivered Skip after Beau became a child - she's trying to find a job in the Architecture career

Pleasant: Daniel has managed to keep his affairs under wraps from Mary-Sue and the twins are attempting to patch things up

Dreamer: Darren has begun to create masterpiece level paintings and Dirk has a new Bluewater Village pen-pal

Burb: John and Jennifer are adding onto their little family and Lucy is stoked to be a big sister soon

Oldie: the Oldies are finding all sorts of new hobbies to keep themselves occupied

Langerak: Kaylynn moved into Don's old condo and is ready to shake up Pleasantview for better or for worse

Tinker: the Tinkers also decided to expand their family albeit at the price of putting their toy business on hold

Jacquet: Gilbert changed back to his original blond hair and has begun wooing more women, despite his mother's desires for him to just settle down

Landgraab: Malcolm is faring well in both his businesses and is poised to buy another Bluewater Community lot soon

Ramirez: Checo and Lisa have successfully gotten Tessa into private school and are thinking of adopting a dog

Delarosa: Florence has developed two little crushes - one on a nearby neighbor and one on a painter in Pleasantview

Gieke: Chester has entered the foray of robotics but is slightly shaken up after an unexpected extraterrestrial encounter

Larson: Jason and Jodie are racking up the simoleons so they've got good footing when they decide to open that business they've been talking about

Hi. I had to divide this post into several parts because there are so many kids that it would be hard to squeeze them all in here :P Also today's post will be dedicated to adult children of the summer second round.

Everyone here is siblings, I mean it just so happened that everyone I'm going to introduce here are siblings. 8 and 9. Anita and John Pleasant (Bella Goth and Daniel Pleasant kids)

10. and 11. Egon and Roxana Szulc ( Nina Kaliente and Ray(townie) kids)

12. and 13. Constance and Leo Newbie ( Dustin Newbie(Broke) and Meadow Thayer kids)

The best part is that I don't know where the red hair gene in Landgraab's sons came from… Maybe Dina had this gene from her mother who passed on? um…

Robert and Marceline are married, their first child, Aurelia, was born recently.

Anita and Paul were married but very briefly, today they hate each other and are already in happy relationships. Anita is dating Egon and I'm still wondering what to do with these two.

Leo and Roxana are also a happy married couple, for now I will not breed them, but who knows, who knows…

I have completed a full year in my Megahood! (Pleasantview and Strangetown + universities)

This is part 1 of my Megahood update! Part 2 will be covering Strangetown. (Apologizes for bad screenshot quality)

I will be going in order of the screenshots, but this is not the order I play in!

Caliente: It’s just Nina in this household, she’s pretty high up in the Athletic career and her LTW is to woohoo with 20 sims. There’s not much going on with her (I speed 3 her a lot), however she’s currently pregnant with Daniel Pleasant's baby (not showing yet).

Pleasant: Just like Nina Caliente, Daniel is alone in his apartment. He maxed the Athletic career, and completed his LTW of becoming a Hall of Famer. In the first round, Mary-Sue caught him cheating and divorced him right away. His daughters don’t talk to him anymore, and he doesn’t even know his grandkids.

Broke: Dustin and Angela moved into the trailer park after graduating university. Dustin is high in the Criminal career and has the LTW of becoming a Criminal Mastermind. While Angela is just starting out in the Oceanography career with the LTW of becoming the Hand of Poseidon. The couple had twins from a risky woohoo, Paige and Olivia Pleasant. Dustin and Angela are unmarried, but are still head over heels for each other.

Goth: Alexander and Lucy just graduated university. Alexander is unemployed with the LTW of becoming the Head of SCIA. Lucy is also unemployed with the LTW of sending 3 kids to university. The couple is just dating with no plans of getting married yet.

Oldie/Dreamer: Mary-Sue is the head of the house, she still works in the Politics career with no sign of retirement, and her LTW is to earn 100k. Lilith moved back in after university. She’s in the Military career with the LTW of becoming the General. After Dirk graduated university he moved into Mary-Sue’s house. He’s also in the Politics career, however he has the LTW of being a Business Tycoon. The couple quickly got married after having their twins, Mateo and Nadia.

Dreamer: Darren and Brandi got married right before Dirk went off to university. Darren works in the Architecture career and has the LTW of becoming City Planner. Brandi works in Education and has the LTW of becoming Education Admin. Brandi had 3 children with her late husband Skip Broke, Dustin, Beau and Ameila. Beau isn’t doing great in school because he’s more focused on playing the bass and drums. Ameila is unborn baby Broke, she recently aged up into a teenager and is doing very well in high school. The youngest member of the household is Landon Dreamer, the only child between Darren and Brandi, he recently aged up into a child.

Lothario: Don and Cassandra got married and very soon after had their son, Brooks. Don is in the Medical career and has the LTW of having 20 lovers. He has yet to be caught cheating. Cassandra works in the Science career with the LTW of reaching Golden Anniversary. After the couple got married, they very quickly had Brooks. Brooks is a lot like his mother, he’s more focused on making money rather than dating. After a very long time of Brooks being an only child, Cassandra got pregnant from risky woohoo. She gave birth to her second child, Tessa Lothario.

Burb: John and Jennifer have 3 children together, Lucy, Easton, and Grace Burb. John is high in the Education career with the LTW of having 6 grandkids. While Jennifer is only halfway through the Law career, her LTW is to Become the Law. Easton is the couple's only boy and the middle child. He is dating Celeste Curious and is doing decently in school. Grace is the youngest child, and she’s a huge mommy’s girl.

Goth: Dina married Mortimer and had their daughter, Delilah Goth. Dina is high in the Slacker career and her LTW is to become a Professional Party Guest. She’s not close with her daughter, due to Dina bringing strange men home every night. Delilah doesn’t have many friends, nor is she close to her half-siblings, Cassandra and Alexander. She spends her time painting and going on walks with her dog.

Pleasantview Shenanigans for tonight:

Mortimer Goth and Dina Caliente had a baby boy, but Dina still has it bad for Don Lothario. She’s just waiting for Mortimer to die since she only married him for his money. She doesn’t want the baby or Mortimer’s son Alexander, but Alex will be off to university soon. As for the baby, I have mods that would allow Dina to give her son up after Mortimer dies, but maybe she’ll have a change of heart?

Don Lothario cheated on Cassandra Goth with several more women after they were married. Cassandra tried to look the other way because she also immediately got pregnant (I have a couple of mods that make all woohoo risky even if they didn’t specifically try for baby and I have autonomous casual romance so sometimes they just boink without me telling them to) and was stressed out with that, but when Don cheated on Cassandra with Bella Goth, her own mother, she was done with both of them. She divorced Don and cut her mother out of her life. Bella is alive in this version of Pleasantview I downloaded so there’s also a chance she could end up back with Mortimer again. The story I’m using is that the aliens dropped her off as a townie so she doesn’t have all of her memories back. Don moved into Nina Caliente’s apartment with her being the mooch that he is. He’s still more interested in Bella Goth over the other ladies, but has his current want of woohooing 10 sims.

Darren Dreamer took the opportunity to scoop up Cassandra since he’s always been in love with her . They aren’t officially together yet, but once Dirk gets settled into college, Cassandra is going to move him into the Goth Manor with her to help raise the baby and maybe they’ll tie the knot and have their own kids together.

Brandi Broke had a baby girl via becoming pregnant before Skip died. For anyone who has played the Broke family in sims 2, Brandi broke is always pregnant when you start the save. Normally, the baby is always a boy and a clone of Brandi since the devs didn’t actually give unborn baby Broke any genetic ties to Skip, but this version of Pleasantview I have downloaded has fixed all of that. Beau is a child and is doing well in school. Dustin has reached the top of his part time career and also improved his grades so he’s just moved out into the college bin until I decide to play all of the Pleasantview teens in uni. I downloaded a mod to make university only last 8 days rather than 24 so the plan is to move all the Pleasantview teens of this generation who want to go to uni, all into one dorm or house together and just get it all over with in one go until the next generation.

The Pleasant Family, my favorite. So the scripted events didn’t occur as normal because of what happened during the play through the night before. Mary Sue and Daniel just couldn’t seem to make up. They’d have a few interactions because of ACR, but Mary Sue remained furious at him. I tried my best to keep Lilith away from the family since they always pick fights with her. She was actually getting wants to do her homework, make friends, and go to uni and since I’m doing wants based gameplay, I was focusing a lot on her. Aside from her boyfriend Dirk, Lilith has become good friends with her cousin Lucy Burb so I have them in a group together that goes and plays games at the arcade I put in Pleasantview. Lilith and Dirk stopped sneaking out after the last time they were busted. In the meantime, Angela and Dustin had some ACR fun and Angela wound up pregnant thanks to inteenimater. Before her parents even found out though, Daniel Pleasant fucking died of starvation. He didn’t eat before work one day and then he got fired due to a chance card so he came home still starving to death instead of fed like sims normally would come home at the end of a work day and he died on the sidewalk. Not much of a loss since I was eventually going to have Mary Sue divorce him and kick him out. Sucks to be Kaylynn though as the original plan was for them to move in together in their own place. Anyway, Angela started showing and Mary Sue wasn’t pleased with that and they started fighting which caused Mary Sue to pick on Lilith more than she already was. Lilith wound up running away for like half a day. After Angela gave birth, I wound up moving Lilith in with her grandparents, Herb and Coral Oldie so she’d stop getting caught in the crossfire and now Angela can use Lilith’s room as a nursery.

My last family of the night in my rotational play through was the Burb family. Lucy ended up shedding her good girl reputation when she started getting wants to sneak out with Lilith and what really surprised me was when she autonomously called her friend over for a bootycall, she hadn’t even had her first kiss yet and then just randomly loses her virginity to her best guy friend like okay girl. Thankfully she did not wind up pregnant because her mother was pregnant with fucking twins. Speaking of, when Jennifer gave birth to the twins, I forgot I had a mod installed that adds a 10% chance for all childbirth’s to result in death so she has the babies and suddenly I see the grim reaper icon in her action queue with the word “expire” and she drops to the floor dead! I had John plead for her life because it would have been insane to have to deal with a teen daughter on a rebellious streak and twin baby boys. Luckily, it worked because it didn’t work when I had Mary Sue try to plead for Daniel. Then after that John finally wanted a job. He has been unemployed this whole time because he never rolled a want to get a job so now he and Jennifer are both employed and can finally start bringing decent money into the house.

I wound up calling it a night shortly after that. I moved almost all of the teens to the uni bin since they had decent grades and all had wants to go to uni except for Angela who is now a teen mom so her want to go to university has disappeared and they’re all replaced with wants related to caring for the baby (meanwhile Dustin hasn’t even met his daughter and just fucked off to college lmao) and surprisingly Lucy Burb hasn’t rolled a want to go to college. Since I’m doing wants based gameplay, sims aren’t getting jobs or going to college unless they want to so if Lucy doesn’t roll the want to go to college before she ages up to an adult, then she’ll just be an adult I guess since young adult is an exclusive life stage to university in sims 2. I hope she has a change of heart before it’s too late, she has always done great in school but ever since she’s aged up to a teen she only wants to hang out with her friends and have random woohoo.

also some lil notes on my ideas:

it's implied mortimer actually gets rid of cassandra's fiances bc he thinks they are unfit to marry his daughter. toxic girl dad shit lmao. don was kidnapped by calientes right before his and cassandra's wedding so she thinks he also died of her "curse" (its like reverse annie/nervous situation if you think of it)

i admit i haven't really thought about bella situation.. perhaps the calientes actually helped her fake her death and escape to "pleasant town"

for broke-dreamer i actually sketched darren as the general but then i thought pilot/astronaut is also military branch and it fits more to dreamers' blue color scheme. also these professions are more romantic-like which i think suits darren. not much change to the brokes i guess. not sure about their dead spouses but they're probably buried somewhere at goths 😭 darren prolly got a crush on cass once but you know it's dangerous to get involved with her at all so

pleasants were not changed much in character tbh, maybe only daniel he seems really chill :) haven't really thought where kaylynn would fit in this au for now

BURB = CURIOUS Jennifer is interested in the vastness of universe, but for a different reason her brother is. Where is she from? What really happened on her father's Mars expedition? Was it anything like the experience her husband went through during his abduction? Maybe the answer is much closer than she thinks.

Oldies have been a long-time residents of Strangeview. Unable to fulfill her role as a Birth Queen, Coral escaped with her beloved with a tiny alien aboard. Will Herb realize that the result of his last mission as a Pollination Technician is somewhere nearby? okayyyy i had so much fun making this. the idea hit me literally yesteday and i was on the rideee hope u enjoy ^_^

Round 1

Goths

Cassandra was left by Don, got help from a therapist and had a dinner with Darren. Then randomly went outside in her underwear.

Mortimer met Brandi, got a marriage proposal from Dina, said yes, married & impregnated her (from the first try!). Got a job in intelligence.

Dina moved in.

Alexander aged up to a teen. Picked Family aspiration.

Pleasants

Daniel had a mental breakdown after Kaylynn refused to woohoo with him. (credit goes to Romantic Standards mod)

Herb and Coral Oldie moved in. Got jobs: Slacker and Oceanography (all the grandmas want oceanography for some reason)

Angela and Lilith had several fights.

Angela now works in Athletic.

Lilith rolled a want for Music career but her grades are way too terrible for a job.

Broke

Brandi welcomed a new baby Penny. Started working as a Dancer.

Dustin got promoted.

Beau aged up to a child.

Penny aged up to a toddler. She's a Gemini and a cutie.

Burb

Jennifer got a job in Business.

Lucy aged up to a teen. Chose Family aspiration.

Last day John and Jennifer had a son Lloyd.

(there also was an attempt where she died in a fire the first night, but something bugged and I couldn't save the game. so no drama :c)

Don mostly went to work and fought roaches. Tried to woohoo Kaylynn. Got rejected too. But then she proposed and obviously got a NO. Karma.

Langerak

Kaylynn moved in a trailer park with 2k in pockets. She struggles A LOT with nearly 0 simoleons and lvl1 Culinary career wages. She worked, got fired, tried again, worked, befriended her landlord, almost made enemies with a neighbour and barely could pay the bills. (she doesn't even have money for a new outfit poor sexy maid)

My Pleasantville Rotation Round 1 Summary

I think I’ll do some Sims 2 story summary once in a while because it makes me enjoy my gameplay more and keep my blog active. Don’t worry, it won’t be too often and flood my blog, I promise! ✒️🛣️

🍁 Lothario-Goth Household (Cassandra, Don, Victor, Nicolo, Tuxedo🐈‍⬛)

Cassandra Goth finally gets married to Mister Lothario, they have two beautiful children, both male. Their name is Victor and Nicolo, after their great-great-grandfather and their grandfather. But oh no, don’t get it wrong, she hasn’t tamed the playboy down at all. He still has a wondering eye, only his new fatherly duty delayed him a little. He’s still a great father after all.

💵 Goth Household (Mortimer, Dina, Gabrielle, Olivia)

Dina finally got a hold of her bag, but for extra security, she decided to have a baby with Morty. Wait, but I thought you had Gabrielle AND Olivia? Yeah... Olivia is an oops baby... Oops… Oh well, extra secure I guess. But Dina isn’t so fond of child care, so most of the work falls on Mortimer. He’s not complaining tho, he loves them. And remember when I said Lothario still has a wandering eye? He comes to visit Dina every day! So scandalous.

🎀 Girlies Household (Nina Caliente, Kaylynn Langerak, Peek-a-boo🐹)

After getting fired from “The Pleasant Housewreking Incident”, Kaylynn finds comfort in Don Lothario. He knows about the incident from his wife and suggests she move in with Nina (his other fling), she’s been looking for a new roommate after her sister moved out. So Kaylynn did, and they’re so compatible it’s awesome. But this still isn’t a life Kaylynn wants, so she keeps working and saving money so she can move out and start her own family soon. Oh, what about Nina? Yeah, nothing much, she’s happy with what she has now. But she does become a dancer, a girl gotta pay bill somehow.

🏠 Pleasant Household (Daniel, Marry-Sue, Angela, Lilith)

Marry-Sue caught Daniel cheating on her with the maid, but luckily she got a promotion that day so she didn’t have a mental breakdown. Well, I guess luckily for Daniel too because, in the end, he manages to climb back into his wife's bed. Poor Lilith still lives a miserable life, but she plans her escape with her law job. She wants to be a lawyer/judge and get justice for every mistreated teen. Go, Lilith!

🧓🏻 Oldies Household (Herb, Coral, Buffy🐕)

Both Herb and Coral go back to pursue their dream job, what are they gonna do in their free time if not more work? Herb works in music and Coral in oceanography. That’s not the most shocking, they start having polyamory relationships with none other than Kaylynn Lagerak! Oh my.

🍼 Broke Household (Brandi, Dustin, Beau, Skip Jr.)

Brandi popped out her unborn baby, it’s a boy! So she named him Skip Jr. She always loved babies but WATCHER this one she swore was a devil reincarnate because he’s so difficult! He says no to everything, making Brandi not want to have any more babies EVER. So Homegirl starts focusing on feeding her family instead, sadly she gets fired from her first job tho. But the kids (except Skip Jr.) seem doing good, Dustin found his love in drawing, and Beau in cooking!

🎨 Dreamer Household (Darren, Dirk)

Nothing happens much tbh. Darren guy still in love with Cassandra, oh, Dirk won’t do his homework anymore. If he keeps it up he might not be able to go to college. But hey, at least Darren and Dirk are really close now.

🌾 Burb Household (John, Jennifer, Lucy, Paul)

Nothing much happened in this household, except Jennifer thrived in the business career... and other oops baby. Hey, but at least this one is long-wanted by his dad. Can’t say he’s been taken care of so well though, his father is busy gardening.

Scripted Events

Don and Cassandra got married, we'll see how long that lasts

Dina proposed to Mortimer who was only too happy to accept, and he and Alexander moved in with her. Nina moved to a rental apartment while she figures out what she wants to do with her life.

Brandi gave me a LOT OF TROUBLE, dying in childbirth TWICE before finally hanging on. I wouldn't savescum that in the future, but for the first pregnancy ever, and the first pregnancy of my girl Brandi, I just couldn't let her die immediately and leave Dustin alone with two infants.

Eventually she had a healthy baby girl whom she named Skipper, after her dad.

In the Pleasant household, Daniel, predictably, got caught cheating.

This sent poor Daniel into aspiration failure

Not much happened with the Dreamers, but Cassandra did come over and flirt with Darren, which made Darren's dead wife very unhappy

And that's about it for the scripted events. Next up I'll do posts for each household in turn for what happened in their round.

Goth : Round 0 (Part 1)

At the Goth mansion, everyone arrives the next evening for the wedding. Cassandra doesn’t know many people, so it’s a small backyard wedding with only Mortimer and Alexander, Darren Dreamer, and Mary-Sue and Daniel Pleasant in attendance. 

Alexander wishes his sister luck on her big day. 

Mary-Sue and Daniel flirted autonomously and regained their crush on each other. The magic of weddings! 

Don actually goes through with the wedding, despite his misgivings about the situation. I think everyone besides Cassandra is surprised. Mortimer didn’t think Don had it in him. 

Wedding fever is really affecting Daniel and Mary-Sue. These two couldn’t keep their hands off each other during the party. Maybe there’s hope for their dying marriage after all. 

Cassandra is over the moon and heads off to cut the cake, but Don lingers at the altar, his mind plagued by regret. Mortimer and Alexander dance sweetly together.

Darren is the only person other than Don who is not enjoying the wedding. He’s still madly in love with Cassandra, and if someone was going to take her from him, Don was the last person he would have wanted it to be. He hates everything about Don, from his smug face, to his womanizing ways, to his rumored involvement in Bella Goth’s disappearance. Cassandra notices Darren acting weird and tries to approach him, but he makes an excuse and wanders off.

Cassandra feeds Don a piece of wedding cake. He tries to fake a smile. Maybe this is for the best, and he’ll be happy married to Cassandra. He does love her, but I think both his and Cassandra’s belief in his ability to change is unfounded. Only time will tell if he’ll remain faithful or if this marriage was doomed to fail from the start. 

The party is so un-lively that even the Goth Ghosts have come out to celebrate. Don is starting to realize he may have bit off more than he can chew.

Burbs

John has found himself a job as a school teacher. Jenny has a respectable job as a scientist, but she is dreaming of one day finding a job as a star entertainer. For now she is sticking with science, but perhaps when they are more secure she can chase her dream.

Broke

Turns out Skip left Brandi with a final surprise before his death. Brandi is pregnant! Just in time for Beau to exit those toddler years and enter school. Beau's proven himself surprisingly gifted as an artist. His creativity can be seen in everything he touches. He's also more independent, giving Brandi the chance to fully focus on her newest child, Connor.

Goth

The family has seen a huge uproar! A passionate plea from Darren Dreamer lead to Cassandra splitting from Don and make plans to marry Darren instead. Don is furious at being rejected in favor of another man. Mortimer has found himself engaged to Dina Caliente, and hopes for happiness in his new relationship.

Lothario

Don has found himself focusing more on his music than his lovers as he works through the fury of Cassandra Goth's choice of another man. He may not have wanted to marry her, but he certainly views himself as better in bed than any other man could be. Even his relationship with Dina is on the rocks as she works to secure her marriage to Mortimer.

Caliente

Dina is engaged to Mortimer, and wedding plans are on the horizon! She swears to Don that her true love is with him, they just need to take a break so she can seal the deal with Mortimer and get his money. The Goth family fortune is nothing to sneeze at after all.

Dreamer

Darren has found a job as a spy. Working to track down information is not only engaging, but provides a higher level of security for his family than before. Bills are being paid! Not only that, but his attempts to have Cassandra notice him as more than merely a friend have gone through, and wedding bells are in the air.

Pleasant

Mary Sue was too honest for her company, and so when a scapegoat was needed she was selected. Furious at being cast out for not being corrupt like her fellow coworkers, a new dream of wealth through crime comes in. If she can't win it honestly, she'll win it dishonestly. Daniel is just relieved that his affair with the maid has remained below her notice, even if he's been forced to cut his time with her to make sure Mary Sue doesn't see them together. Angela has found herself stepping back from bothering Lilith, seeing the stress in her parents and wondering if it's something Lilith saw all along. Her sister certainly doesn't seem surprised.

I kinda wanna restart my Pleasantview just so I can pair Darren and Daniel together... That idea's been on my mind for a month now and I like it so much.

Just think about it. Daniel, all alone after his divorce and with his daughters in university, finds out something new about himself and that he can still be happy with someone. Darren struggles as a parent and with life, but someone new opens his eyes to the possibilities of life and helps him close the chapter of his wife's death.

There are so many new households in Landgraab Keep it's getting hard to keep track. Everyone keeps having babies! I might have to change the requirements for townies moving in, because it's becoming a little overwhelming.

The Loste family is made up of General Buzz, his wife Kristen, and their daughter, Dagmar. I hate this pairing so much it's unreal. General Buzz has had two babies out of wedlock with Kristen's best friend, Erin, but she doesn't know about that just yet.

The Pleasant household is as toxic as ever. Ever since Mary-Sue and Daniel cheated on each other at Dina's baby shower they've been incredibly resentful of each other.

If that wasn't bad enough, Mary-Sue got pregnant with Margaret after her fling with Skip Broke.

Daniel exacts revenge (?) by starting an affair with Cassandra, who is currently married to Darren Dreamer.

Cassandra gives birth to his son. Darren is non the wiser, despite the fact the baby has bright red hair.

She gives birth to Darren's children not long after- quadruplets!!!!

Brandi and John Burb's twins have aged up as well.
