📌 (IMPORTANT NOTE): MY BLOG IS CURRENTLY 15+. I’m sorry, but due to the media I am currently fixing on (You Don’t Know Jack) which can be adult-oriented at times with its humor and general content (especially with characters’ actions), I don’t want younger people looking at my blog and coming across content unsuitable for them!

It’s just a thing with me.
🩵 I feel like noting my favorite song is We Grew Up So Well by Jack Conte teehee (which is. Insanely dark!)
⭐️ Have fun with my blog and I hope y’all also find it funny how my aesthetic is like. Baby blue cutecore and yet I have interests like YDKJ and DHMIS, also the fact I have interests like It’s a Small World and YDKJ at the same time lol

January 15 - if you made a painting embodying a character, who would it be? @sassaffrassa
I cannot remember if I told you about this one specifically, sass, or just foamed at the mouth about my other art ideas. Can I describe this coherently? Guess we’ll find out.
I would love to paint Ciri from the witcher books. This is nothing in my skill set right now. And it it probablyyyyy too many ideas to fit into one piece and could probably be 2-4 pieces. But maybe it’s just one very busy single piece. But it's Ciri and lots of things from the witcher books.
Stylistically I want to make a painting that’s surrealist/eldritch horror with fantasy vibes. Composition-wise I’m, ahhhh, inspired by the old Star Wars posters and Bosch.
I want Ciri’s face with her very huge scar prominent to be a main focus. I want horrifyingly exaggerated uterus to be a focus as well, fallopian tubes reaching out with tentacle-like horrors, ovaries dripping with blood, with disdain and rage.
In the background behind Ciri rises the Tower of Swallows—or maybe Ard Gaeth behind her. Stars in the background. Space and time, you know.
Ciri is flanked by all the people pursuing her for good and ill, so Eredin and Emhyr and Vilgefortz on one side, Yen, Geralt and the Hansa on the right. The fallopian tubes are wrapped around Vilgefortz neck because fuck that guy (I can hold many different kinds of feelings about shitty villain characters). But really fuck that guy and choke him out with a fallopian tube. Or maybe wrapped around all of them, Eredin, Emhyr and Vilgefortz.
On the right Yen has a bloodied lip and messy hair a la her captivity scene, or maybe her scrutinizing expression I think she’s wearing when she’s speaking with Freya in Skellige. Geralt is below Yen and is looking exhausted and determined and wearing a headband, jowly and pale. And beside him is the rest of the Hansa. Cahir with wet eyes looking up at Ciri like she’s hung the moon. Regis looking poised and mindful at Geralt, Dandelion holding his memoirs. Milva cropped hair with her bow Angouleme with a cheeky expression and maybe a knife.
Also have a smaller Vysogota over one Ciri’s shoulder, and Kelpie over her other. Maybe Mistle somewhere, too. Definitely need Ihuarraquax somewhere because fuck yeah unicorns.
Below Ciri and her exaggerated uterus is maybe moment from Ciri’s final fight with Bonhart, her balancing carefully on the beam and Bonhart thinking he’s got her but we know he doesn’t but the stakes are still high.
And just below that is Ciri riding Kelpie over the lake, and Avallach standing on the edge of the water watching her. And if I continue to be maximal I’d want to find a place for some compositional elements about The Spiral. Maybe a reflection in the water of the lake, or something anchored to Avallac’h in the scene.
To layer it even more like this is a Bosch painting meets meets Kahlo and Dali, I would have Nimue with a magnifying glass that she’s looking through from the corner of the painting, examining this Whole Scene with a dreamy-eyed Tilly at her side. Maybe reaching through the looking glass into the scene. Throw in an ouroboros somewhere. Maybe framing the whole painting??
Anyway. This is a lot. My brain is a lot and it is what it is… and hey now! I made a post about it, so it’s out of my head! I cannot and will not paint this, but if anyone is inspired oh my god have at it and run with the ideas if it moves you.
January posting meme + claim a date - can still prompt me.

@best-animated-short-tourney Also I forgot to talk about the music!
The song Destino was originally performed by Dora Luz in the old disney sound stage. It was a Mexican folk song that was originally gonna be used in The Three Caballeros or Salutos Amigos, and was a key inspiration for Salvador Dali and John Hench when drawing and painting the original art for the film. As Well as the Dominique when re-boarding the film. When Roy Disney and the rest of the new team uncovered the track, it was somewhat degredated to to age and they briefly considered re-recording the song with a new artist, but they realised the song and the specific mood it was able to convey couldn’t be recaptured, so kept it.
Roy Disney also suggested putting the sound of a record player needle dropping to convey the idea the song was playing on an old record, explaining the artefacts in the sound.
This was absolutely the right choice for the film. The song brings so much emotion and depth. It can convey so many emotions form calming peace, to melancholy, to playful, to painful longing, to overwhelming joy, to serene beauty and everything in between.
The absolute greatest moment of the film is when the woman turns into the dandelion and we see as the man in the clock stature begins to break free. But the music becomes frantic as the clock melts and grabs the man’s hands as he tries to break free.
And Jesus! The way his stone shell begins to spilt in time with the high notes of the wailing chorus, as if simulating the man’s cry of pain and longing for his lost love, only for him to finally break free and the chorus to transform from a cry of heartbreak and pain to one of awe inspiring jubilation as the man stands triumphantly free from his stone prison that now stands as an empty shell like that of a discarded cocoon!!!!
Like. My god…. There is no other way to describe this other than utterly transcendent.
Choose Your Favorite!
Vote in the other polls
Where to find the shorts:
Destino is available on Disney+
Pop Squad is available on Netflix as Season 2, Episode3 of Love Death + Robots

This is Slightly Not Fine
Shuna sneezed as she got out of the carriage. She only sneezed when strong flowery scents were around. She sneezed again.
"Are you alright, Young Miss ?" Opera asked, handing her a handkerchief. Shuna tried to answer but sneezed again. Where was that scent coming from ?!?
"Master Sullivan, I think Shuna might be sick." Opera said.
"SICK ?!?" Sullivan shouted, rushing to his granddaughter and immediately feeling her forehead. "How about I take you home ?!?"
"I'm not sick I just-" She sneezed again, her sneezes coming out in cute little 'chu's'. "Something smells real flowery and I'm allergic !" She explained, sniffling. That's when a rose petal fell on her nose. She sneezed again. She looked around to see the cause of her allergy attack, seeing, a demon and two others, throwing rose petals everywhere as the one with purple hair was shouting something into a microphone, in front of a crowd of students.
"It's him." Shuna said, glaring. "I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind." She said, stomping towards the crowd.
"Should we stop her ?" Opera asked.
"Oh she'll be fine, but right now we have to get her some allergy medicine so that my little Shuna can stop sneezing !" Sullivan said. "Even though she has the most adorable little sneezes !" Sullivan gushed as Opera rolled their eyes, watching Shuna push her way to the front to confront the student who assaulted her sinuses.
"HEY PRETTY BOY !" Shuna snapped, glaring at the purple haired male.
"Me ? Ronove Lomiere ? You think I'm pretty ? Well of course I am ! I'm Ronove Lomiere !" The purple haired male said with a laugh.
"Stop with the flowers and shit ! I'm severely allergic and I'm not gonna be sneezing all day because of you !" Shuna demanded, snatching the rose out of his hand and throwing it. The purple haired male immediately crumbled, whimpering.
"How dare you !" One of his friends said.
"You hurt Lomi-Sama's feelings !" The other said.
"Yeah well he's hurting my nose !" Shuna shot back. In a matter of seconds though. Lomiere was back up, with another rose in his hand, somehow when he noticed that he was losing the crowd's attention.
"Everyone look at me ! Ronove Lomiere !" He said, reactivating his magic and hypnotizing the crowd into looking at him. As they stared at him, Shuna sneezed again, letting out a cute little 'chu'. The crowd 'aww'd'. Who would've thought that she had such a cute sneeze ?
"Everyone pay attention to Ronove Lomiere !" Lomiere said but everyone was way too interested in Shuna's kitten sneezes than him, as his magic had no affect.
"Shuna was already cute before but now she sneezes like that ? She's so cute !" Someone said.
"She's so cute in everything she does !" Another demon gushed.
"She's cute... but not as cute as me." Dosanko said somewhere.
"Oh my.. I had no idea that Mistress sneezes so cutely !" She hears Alice say. Shuna turned to glare at him but it was interrupted by another sneeze. Everyone 'aww'd' much to her annoyance. She pouted. This wasn't going to be a good day.
-
When Shuna got away, the attack on her sinuses had stopped but she still sniffled every now and then, her nose runny, until Opera came to her with allergy medication during her lunch period. She thanked them, about to take the medicine, until the flowery scent appeared again and she sneezed harshly, losing control of her body and dropping the bottle of medicine, watching the glass break and the medicine spill on the ground. She watched in shock, tears brimming in her eyes. And the tears weren't from allergies. She was crying.
"You there !" An annoying voice said. A figure approached her. "How dare you take attention from me, Ronove Lomiere ! Just who do you think you are ?!?"
Shuna sniffled and tried to wipe her tears but she couldn't. That's when she lost it. She reached into her bag and pulled out The Blade of Wrath as Lomiere kept complaining, his back turned towards her.
"Cherushille." She said, glaring as the blade grew to it's normal size. "La fire." The blade was engulfed in turquoise flames. She turned the dial to demon mode.
"Young Miss, I advise against-"
"Shut up." She said, in a tone that made Opera unexpectedly flinch. She approached Lomiere.
"And another thing, I expect a full apology addressed to me, Ronove Lomiere !"
"Uh Lomi-Sama-"
"I, Ronove Lomiere might be able to forgive you if-"
"Lomi-Sama-"
"And another thing-"
"Lomi-Sama !"
"Hm ?"
Lomiere turned around to see Shuna, absolutely fuming.
"LA FIRE !" She shouted, summoning a giant fireball at the tip of the sword, aiming it at the frozen Lomiere before flinging the fireball towards him, hitting him in the chest, sending him flying through a wall. "FACE MY WRATH !" she shouted as the seal on sword suddenly broke and the fire grew more violent. Students started screaming and evacuating. The looked like they engulfed her body and that it was going to engulf the canteen until it didn't and Shuna passed out, collapsing until someone caught her. It was Lord Sullivan.
"Oh dear. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this." Sullivan said, carrying his granddaughter, the blade still in her grasp. He didn't try to remove it.
"What is going on here ?!?" Naberius Kalego asked, running into the cafeteria, come other students and the student council behind him. "Students are saying that your granddaughter went rabid and almost burned the canteen down ?!?"
"Oh dear..." Professor Suzy said, seeing the unconcious Lomiere. "He looks pretty hurt, Professor Dali, would you mind helping me take him to the infirmary ?"
"Of course." Professor Dali said, helping Professor Suzy lift Lomiere up. Professor Kalego noticed the blade in Shuna's hand.
"I should've confiscated this when I had the chance !" He grumbled, trying to take the blade out of her hand but when he touched it, it engulfed in flames, flame-like shadow creature popping out, roaring at Kalego, growing in size until Sullivan pet the creature's head and it went away.
"The Blade of Wrath chose Shuna for a reason." Sullivan said. "It can feed off of her immense anger and how easy it is to make her angry or upset. It refuses to leave her for this very reason."
"It makes sense." Opera interjected. "She was already angry this morning but when that student made her drop her allergy medicine, it was the last straw and she blew a fuse. I've never seen her so mad before."
"So what do we do ?" Kalego asked. "We obviously can't keep letting her blow up and hurt people !"
"Well, there's one thing we could do..." Lord Sullivan said.
-
Shuna woke up, surrounded by teachers, the student council with Iruma, her grandpa and Opera, in her grandfather's office. She blinked seeing the blade that was held tightly in her grasp before putting it down. Opera held out a tray with some hell-grey tea and a cup of allergy medicine. She rubbed her eyes and took the medicine with the tea.
"Grampy ? What happened ?" She asked. "Why am I in here ?"
"You don't remember ?" Sullivan asked. Shuna shook her head.
"I remember being angry for some reason but then I blacked out..." Shuna said. The reason she was angry suddenly came back to her and her hands started shaking as she growled.
"Now now Shuna, none of that." Sullivan said, petting her hair. "Everything's fine, there's no need to be upset."
"That pompous piece of crap just made me so mad !" She said. "I couldn't help it"
"Shuna, The Blade of Wrath feeds off of anger, you have to learn how to keep your anger under control lest you lose control of the blade and the blade starts to control you." Sullivan said. "Which is why I sadly suggest you join the Student Council with Iruma until we can find you another Battler or another way to keep your anger under control."
Shuna was quiet. She looked at her professors. She looked at her grandfather. She looked at Iruma and the student council. She looked at Opera. They were all staring at her.
"No frickin' way." Shuna said. "You might be able to bully Iruma into joining because he's easy but I've seen Iruma cry while eating Student Council lunch and that's only a partial of what I've seen them do, Who do I look like ? Snitchy McRat ? I'm not wearing that dorky outfit and I don't want to live in dorms, I like my room at home.'
"Shuna, just give it a chance, it's not that bad !" Iruma said.
"It's either that or suspension." Professor Kalego said. 'Personally I'd enjoy the suspension' He thought to himself.
"Oh you're just gonna have to suspend me because I refuse." Shuna said, crossing her arms and smirking. 'The suspension might be a good idea to get out of here for a while.' She thought to herself.
-
"I'll never forgive you for this Grampy !" Shuna cried, as she was forced into the student council uniform, tears running down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry ! I didn't want to suspend you !" Sullivan said, equally crying, since he'd now be separated from both of his grandchildren. "I'll buy you whatever you want to make up for it ! It's only for a few weeks !"
"Gifts can't fix this, Grampy ! Don't try to buy my love now !" She wailed as the student council members started to drag her away. "Why have you forsaken me Grandfather ?!? Do you not love me anymore ?!?"
Sullivan's heart broke as he heard that. He fell to his knees. His granddaughter thought that he didn't love her anymore ? Opera pat Sullivan's shoulder.
"There there. She'll get over it eventually and see that you're doing this because you love her." Opera said. Sullivan suddenly stood up.
"Opera, get the carriage !"
"Why ?"
"We're going to the store and buying everything we see to show Shuna and Iruma I still love them ! I hope Iruma doesn't think that his grandfather forgot him too ! What if he thinks I love his sister more than him or Shuna thinks I love Iruma more than her ?!? We have to get to the stores ASAP !"
"Sir, no..."
"Sir, yes !"
"It's still school hours !"

Pre-Production
Reality is what we all must live in, in the here and now, washing up, cleaning etc all very boring on many levels, therefore we need surrealism.
Surrealism is an art movement started by a Frenchman Andre Breton back in 1924. He was interested in things like dreams, fantasies and thoughts we have in our heads.
The following artist help create surrealism art.
1. Salvador Dali
2. Rene Magrette
3. Dorothea Tanning
4. Eileen Agor
There are two main Surrealism.
1. One being inspired by dreams, Salvador Dali, was well known for his wild behaviour in the art for surrealism his work, often a combination of things you would not expect to see together.
2. The second one is Automatism, Art made without thinking. Doodling while daydreaming, myself and many of us do that, this makes us surrealist.
How did people react?
Surrealists were amazing at promoting their work. Dali was especially great at promoting his work, the crowds loved his approach turning up to a London exhibition in full outrageous dress up gear, however most of his critics gave rubbish reviews.
Where are we today with surrealism?
In 2021 it is everywhere, its all about imagination from whacky adverts, video games, Comics and adverts. Surrealism is great it allows us to break free of plain old reality to inject weirdness and wild ideas to create.
Kyle Thompson
Kyle is an American photographer with an eye for surreal, forests and abandoned houses. He likes to create eery or visionary portraits of himself, compositions that feel magic
I Love the colours in this picture of the leaves, very much an autumn feel. His eyes are staring at you however you can still see the outline of this ears beneath the water.
This picture is so elegant and simplistic. The material with the wind in his wings. It is very elegant like a floating angel.
Catrin Welz-Stein
As a child she loved to draw and liked to be creative, her inspirations are fantasy and children stories. She gained her knowledge as a graphic designer and working with a lot of digital images.
This picture is replicating a hot air balloon, the top hat as the basket and the dandelion is the hot air part of the balloon, the partials from the dandelion fly through the air and you can see a man holding one of the partials and flying through The air.
Dariusz Klimczak
Klimczak is an experienced photographer, with more than 30 years of intermittent photography and photo editing experience under his belt. He currently works as a freelancer and has held numerous exhibitions. He says that the aim of his beautiful photos is to use stories and universal symbols to move his viewers and force them to think or to simply crack a smile. The atmosphere of the vast deserts and plains in his stunning pictures seem to be inspired by Dali’s work, as do the stilt-walkers and other characters therein.
His picture is simple and eye catching.
Erik Johonsson
I love this picture it reminds me of the picture I am working on in my personal time a picture of a face you can see face on (pardon the pun) and to the side I just love the images like this, to me this is a proper illusion, plain, simple and using simple objects, ie like a person no props just a face.
He is based in Berlin, he is also a very skilled retoucher, this allows him to turn his ideas into logically surreal projects that look like real photographs.
Johansson will often use hundreds of different original images to make one picture with the help of digital alteration software Adobe Photoshop.
He became interested in this art at the age of 15, he got his inspiration from his grandmother who was a painter, he then began to play
around with photos and creating something you couldn’t capture with a camera on a computer.
On his website he writes “It was a great way of learning, learning by trying,” this makes a lot of sense not that I can say my head space recently acknowledges this over the recent months, however given myself a good shake and learning by trying is a great way of learning.
Plan your own creative manipulation.
1. Round Glass vase
2. Candle
3. Spring Water
I want it to look crisp, clean and simple.
Production
For this brief I used the living room,
I bought blackout material from amazon this helped to enclose the area to be dark.
I used a tripod to keep the camera in the same position as I needed to take 2 pictures.
1. With vase and the candle lit, without the water I the vase.
2. With the vase filled with spring water, without the candle lit.
Where the yellow circle is this is what my dad stood on to position the lights for each shoot
Postproduction
What are Layer Masks and how do we use them?
Masks are non-destructive layers, providing more flexibility when working with images as they do not permanently delete information in an image. Layer masks can be used to hide parts of an image, cutting out objects and adjusting specific parts of a photograph (in combination with adjustment layers).
What are the names of the selection tools?
Marquee
This is the most basic selection tool available in photoshop, to use this, you click and drag around the area that you want to select.
Lasso
The Marquee tool is restricted by a frame, circle or line, you cannot select more than what you want to select. The way around this is to use the lasso tool. It works very much like the Marquee tool however it gives you more ability to move around the area freely and without any restrictions.
Magnetic Lasso Tool
This is an especially useful outlining tool it is more accurate than the lasso tool. It follows lines and outlines like a magnet, making it a lot easier to select elements with contours.
Magic Wand
This is used to select an area based in a specific colour. You are best using this when selecting areas where the colour is varied but you want to select a specific colour area. The magic wand makes the selection faster when dealing with contour and sharp edges that can be difficult to reach.
Quick Selection
This works very much like the magic wand. The quick selection selects areas based on colour and tone. What is great about this tool is it allows you to choose to include or remove certain areas using the add to selection and subtracting a selection option. It makes things quick and easy.
Colour Range
This is an especially useful tool available in photoshop, this works very much like the Magic wand. Unlike the Magic Wand where you have a limited selection based on specific area, colour range universally includes areas in the selection given a specific scope of colours you choose from within the image. Multiple colour selection and limitation is also available by using the ass and subtract eye dropper options.
Inverse
Inverse Is used only with a pre-existing selection. It automatically selects the area that isn’t selected initially and deselects the pre existing selection this then inversing the process. If selecting an area is more difficult than selecting the areas around it, you can use inverse by selecting those areas outside and choosing to inverse the selection later. This allows the process to be faster.
Grow
Grow is a selection option also used with a pre-exsisting selection. Grow simply extends the selection based on the current selection, this is normally done by colour and tone.
Similar
Once again this also works with a pre-existing selection and is much like colour range part of the programme, where is extends the selection to the whole image given the specific colour and tonal range of the existing selection you have on the screen.
Refine Edge
When you need to show great attention to detail about the edges of a selected picture, you can use this tool to manipulate or customize the contour selection. It takes a lot of practise to fully understand using this tool, you also need to fully understand this tool to use this correctly.

Agora a garota estava sozinha.
<Talvez eu continue>
