8. Song that reminds you of a wonderful memory

Secret Worlds reminds me of several wonderful memories. The song is thrumming with the urgency to drink deeply of the moment because "in years to come we both know we won't be the same." That feeling is something I recognize in myself whenever I'm truly happy. Like a part of me is partaking in the experience, but another part is busily encoding as many details as possible in my brain so that I can remember them forever. If I could carve happiness in the bark of a tree, I would.

10. Song that makes you angry

Little Miss Why So. That song twists me up every which way but this bit: "Can't you see that I'm enough for you? But you don't want me to be, 'cause that means you'll actually have to be content." Arrghhhhh fuck offfffffff fuck right OFF. I need to go bite something now because unfortunately I can't kick the ass of a character in a song.

In regards to Enchanted Dominion: I think that when the upperclassmen talk about Aurora being cursed, they’re talking about Maleficent’s act of placing the curse on her during the party. When they learn of the curse, it’s at the cottage where the good fairies are watching over Aurora, as opposed to the castle in BBS, after they’ve set the kingdom to sleep as well. This would mean that KHDR Enchanted Dominion takes place at the very start of the story, with Aurora still as a baby. I also thought that it being at the start of the story made sense, given the way darkness seems to pretend to be Maleficent in dragon form in order to trick the upperclassmen into fighting and dying. Baldr’s flashback to the events indicate that Maleficent herself was never really there, and it would make sense for her not to be if this were early in the story too, because if Aurora is still a baby, there’s no Phillip around for Maleficent to be fighting.

This is SOOO late, sorry 🙈 I saved this as a draft and then... forgot about it....

But these are really good points; I completely forgot Maleficent originally cursed Aurora as a baby, and I also forgot that darkness seemed to give Hoder, as well as the others, illusionary memories of the dragon (here's what really happened) similar to one of the True Darknesses giving Ventus an illusionary memory to cover up Stretlizia's death. So thank you for pointing that out!!!

I just saw your timeline post and to add more confusion to the mix as exhibited by Disney characters during Dark Road the nature of time works differently from world to world. Some starting up much later due to taking time to rebuild and all that. And yet Jaffar was around during the events of dark road and to my knowledge he has no reason to be an immortal. So the only logical conclusion is the rate of time works differently from world to world which may explain the discrepancy in the timeline

Yeah idk what they were thinking with Disney worlds in DR, especially because during the students FIRST visit to Agrabah, they didn't see anyone else there, so they concluded that Agrabah wasn't 100% restored yet.

And what? When they return to their next visit, it got Narnia-ed where so much time had past that Jafar was alive after all?? Jafar I could stretch into being someone who would use spells to prolong his life, but Iago as well?? I don't think Jafar likes the bird THAT much lmao.

Supposedly, the Heartless' appearance in DR will be explained in Missing Link (I hope that goes for Baldr's Heartless too...), so I hope to god it also explains what was going on in DR's Disney worlds worlds. ESPECIALLY since it was Aurora herself that Maleficent cursed off screen. Rate of time differences or not-- Terra, Aqua, and Ventus should be there. And if they just happen to be off screen, I doubt the upperclassman didn't hear of "other Keyblade Wielders". So it almost seems like the upperclassmen themselves are in the Book of Prophecies projections or something....

When KHUX finished, we learned at a lot of things the Union Leaders assumed turned out to be wrong, so there might be a chance that the students assuming its the rate of time differences is also wrong.

Especially with KHUX having a secret subplot that's almost never referenced (The Virus/Wreck it Ralph/Brain acting weird), I wonder if DR has something similar and I just haven't digested enough details and weird lines to piece together an idea...

Hopefully Missing Link will iron all this out...

Hello! I'm curious to know if there were any plans to implement some form of volume adjustment gauge within video and audio posts? I could have sworn video posts used to have the ability to lower the volume, but now the only option seems to be to mute them or have them on full blast. I know volume control via the user's device itself is an option, but it would be nice to have a second means of adjusting, esp for audio posts, which sometimes can start midway through due to misclicks. Thank you!

Strangely, we’re sorry to say we don’t ever remember ever having a volume slider. Only ever a mute button, at least on native Tumblr videos.

It is not on our roadmap for the future as things stand, either. However, we will note it, and rest assured if plans change here, you’ll be the first to know via WIP or @changes.

Many! Farewell Wanderlust for the same sort of deep pain and betrayal coalescing into incandescent, defiant rage. Battle Cries for the contrast of the quietly resigned "I'm doing fine" and the screaming fury of Blossoms' "You do not get to hurt me just because I asked you once if you were alright!" Elsa's Song for the war imagery. There are others.

But mostly, really, it's The Calling. They're almost twins in my mind.

I both associate them with seasons of change: autumn for The Calling ("there's more than water in these autumn hands") and springtime for Blossoms (the symbol of blossoms that have waited to rise, only to quickly fall, much like apple and cherry trees wait for spring to bloom, then they drop their petals after a very short flowering flush)

The Calling is a baptism in water, Blossoms is a baptism of fire

In The Calling, she gets her dress wet in the river. In Blossoms, it bursts into flames.

In The Calling, she lets the rain come down. In Blossoms, he sets the world on fire.

Both songs have a mysterious entity accompanying the singer in their journey of transformation: the fox in The Calling, the Saint of Never Getting It Right in Blossoms.

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. There are SO MANY contrasts and parallels.

I have been trying for a year to write a meta post about those two songs, but a lot of it feels very gender-y to me? And I never feel qualified enough to talk about that. Maybe I'll just begin the post and let everyone else add their insights, idk.
