So I had this sent into me by a follower. Apparently Twitter went nuts yesterday, but I wasn't able to address it until now.

Do we know why these ops were canceled? No. We don't. It could be they overbooked or didn't anticipate so many people wanting to book Jensen and [insert your choice here]. It could be that Jensen realized that his filming of Countdown wasn't going to make as many allowances as he'd hope for the ops and had to cancel. We honestly don't know.

Regardless, what I don't like is how so many of his so-called stans were flipping out and getting angry over it. Like, excuse me? Could you please make up your goddamned mind about what you want him to do??

Do you want new entertainment from him in the form of TV shows? Or do you want conventions? He's trying to do both, but he's only freakin' human! He has limited time. He has limited energy.

Not for the first time, I'm reminded of him at Columbus Con (this year no less!): Dance monkey, dance.

sometimes you watch late seasons supernatural and you're like yeah okay the colours are bright and i feel no fear and the only person trying is jensen ackles. other times you watch late seasons supernatural and you are vibrating in your fucking seat because dean winchester says something as insane as i'm furious. to know that all my life, i've been nothing but a hamster in a wheel, stuck in a story. and it ain't just me. we're all trapped. sam and cas and jack and even you. and he's saying it to god's sister as she's paying the bill in a shitty restaurant

Has jen ever worn overalls in his child modeling days? I have been looking at kids in overalls on Google images as a reference for something unrelated and I can't stop thinking that there's no way this kid (jen) escaped the dungarees and you are my most reliable source for this I'm sure.

not that i've seen yet. there definitely have been kids in overalls in the shoots he was on, but jensen mostly got the suits or sweaters.

this isn't what you're looking for, but at least we have this.

I just saw a post of someone directing people to attack Jensen because of the canceled ops. Jensen has every right to cancel ops because of his schedule

100% agreed anon!

For one thing, they have every right to make changes without giving a reason if they need to. They have zero right to attack him for it! I get that they are disappointed.

Also, he’s already told us that Countdown was going to begin filming in the next couple of weeks. He very well may have gotten more info on the filming schedule and had to make adjustments. The stans have been clamoring for him to work and now that he is, they are mad at him for it!

Lastly, in my opinion, CE went a little crazy with the number of ops they had him doing. I’m sure DC wasn’t going to be the only con that offered those additional ops. That was going to be grueling for him to maintain.

We will see what it looks like for future cons.
