i do . think. that it is entirely possible that worst!wolverine is from an only slightly altered version of the fox timeline--just one where they wore the uniforms, one where they had a little more time together. one where, perhaps, william stryker found the mansion when all the adults were away. where the students fought but were unable to escape. where logan running from his past meant he sped past his future and never hit the ice wall that stopped him from rocketing into the void of rage. the x-men stop the use of cerebro, but they die without him, their bodies adding to the countless others buried beneath alkali lake. finding them in that place, that horrible place? that would be enough to drive anyone berserk, i think, most of all logan.

(i wonder if part of him, kicked out of yet another bar, in the darkest moments of the night, thinks that it was stryker's plan all along, that he's just playing into the hands of his handler yet again.)

Post-established-worst-polycule-relationship Kresniks are very funny outsider POV-wise because. uhhhh. Like. Victor and Ludger side by side are fine as long as you don’t get too good of a look at their eyes (esp if Victor keeps some variant of a mask/wears glasses or something to change his face framing), and Julius by default doesn’t look very related to either Ludger or Victor.

But once you have Elle with them? Everyone doing math.gif calculations because age wise Elle could only be Victor and/or Julius’ kid (WE know the hair is Lara’s but 😂) but Ludger does not look related to anyone except Victor and Elle if you pay attention and that doesn’t get into Ludger/Julius/Victor undertones and—
