Daminette December 2023: 17-Bodyguard
Damian had heard the whispers and rumors when he first moved to Paris. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the baker's daughter and fashion designer had been head over heels for Adrien Agreste, the model. That had been years ago. Some of their friends refused to believe she moved on from her gigantic crush. He had heard the whispers of how she babbled and froze with just a glance. How she had memorized his schedule and planned their future together. He had heard how she had fallen for him with a simple gesture of giving her his umbrella in the rain. The only thing that had ever stopped them from getting together was how blind Adrien was. He never saw Marinette was anything more than a friend and everyone knew it. That might have been true; all of it. Damian knew that Marinette no longer felt like that, if it had ever been true.
From what he observed, Adrien was the one now persuing the baker's daughter. If any of it had been true, Marinette had long moved on. Adrien was constantly trying to get her attention and would search the halls for her. If anything, the roles had reversed. Adrien Agreste now stalked Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Adrien Agreste was still 'blind' in his book. The model took zero notice how Marinette reacted to being around him. He noticed the subtle flinches when Adrien called her name from down the hall. He noticed the terror in her eyes, before putting a smile on her face to greet a friend.
Damian froze the moment he saw her.
'Marinette? What is she doing here? I thought she couldn't have a pet in the bakery. Why is she in the pet store?'
His eyes followed her as she moved away from the front and towards the middle. She was almost hidden by the shelves.
'Hamsters?'
"Marinette!" Adrien shouted, "Do you like hamsters, too?"
"Uh, sort of." she answered, weakly.
"They're amazing!" he cried back, getting closer to her and the hamsters.
Even from where Damian stood, he could see Marinette's eyes were searching for a way out; an exit. He quickly put down the giant bag of dog food and rushed over.
"There you are Marinette." he spoke, pulling her towards him.
"Damian!" Mari exclaimed, surprised.
"Did you get lost?" he asked, "I apologize for getting so busy."
"You work here?" Adrien asked, "Why?"
"I volunteer." Damian answered, "I donate to several animal charities nd I like to make sure all the equipment is up to date."
"We can go see the puppies on files now." The Wayne heir suggested, "You said you were looking for a guard dog?"
Marinette lit up quickly, realizing Damian was giving her a way out.
"I'm so glad you remembered." she smiled.
"A dog?" Adrien asked, confused, "What about the hamster?"
"Oh." Mari spoke, "Well, I do think hamsters are cute, but with how scattered brain I get, I might forget instantly. I could forget to feed it or accidentally kill it with a giant roll of fabric." causing the model to wince.
"A dog is better." Marinette stated, "Their routine would be my routine."
"But why a guard dog?" he questioned.
"Why do you have a bodyguard?" Damian asked.
"Huh?" confusing the model.
"Guard dogs keep their owners safe." the Wayne heir answered, "They are loyal to a fault and will attack, if necessary." pulling Marinette closer to him.
Marinette blushed at the closeness. She quickly placed a hand on his chest to get his attention.
"We should go look at those files." She suggested, "You mentioned....training and I wan to make sure they are trained before university."
"Of course." Damian replied, leading Marinette to the back room and away from Adrien's prying eyes.
Damian picked up a radio to give the other workers a warning about Agreste. On the security cameras, he watched as the blonde model turned away and walk out the store.
'Seemed Marinette was his only goal here.'
Marinette sighed in relief as Damian placed the radio down.
"Thank you, Damian." Marinette spoke.
He nodded his head in understanding.
"But how did you know?" Mari asked.
"You are uncomfortable with him." Damian stated.
Marinette nodded her head.
"You look scared when you hear him call out your name in school." Damian spoke, "Sometimes, you turn pale. Doesn't seem like he notices."
"I thought no one noticed." Marinette answered, with a smile, "Thank you so much."
Damian chuckled, "Now, would you actually like a guard dog?"
"I would love one," Mari sighed, "but since I still live with my parents-"
"The bakery." The Wayne heir concluded.
She nodded her head and gave a shrug. Damian went over to a drawer and pulled out some files for an adoption event taking place soon. Marinette looked at him confused.
"It would not matter if I brought another dog home. At this point, it's expected. You would just have to wait." Damian stated.
Marinette smiled happily, "Really?"
"Only if you do not mind coing over to bond with your dog." he declared.
Marinette hugged him and quickly felt him flinch.
"Sorry!" she cried, pulling away from him, "Um, I'll just look at these."
Marinette browsed over the files he had handed her. Damian could tell she was seriously considering the guard dog idea. She started by ruling out the smaller dogs, he expected someone like her to own. By the end of her selection, she had five folders left.
"What do you think, Damian?" Mari asked, "Is there any of them I should rule out?"
Damian looked over the folders. There was a Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Shepard, Doberman, and an Akita.
"Two of these would make great pets, but not guard dogs." He spoke, "I believe you should look online and learn more about them before deciding. You need to make sure you can take care of them. I don't just mean their diet and health. There are many people who return animals because they have gotten bored or because they didn't expect how much time they would have to use to train it."
Marinette smiled, "Thank you. I can tell you really care about these animals. I can let you know by the end of the week."
Mari stood up, ready to leave. She bit her lip in hesitation.
"Are you alright?" He questioned.
"Um." She began, "Nevermind. It's stupid."
"What is it?" Damian asked, "You clearly think it is important. Why do you hesitate?"
Marinette blushed, "Do you think, until I get a guard dog- Can you be my guard dog? Bodyguard! I meant bodyguard; not guard dog! At school! Keep Adrien away from me?"
Damian chuckled, "I wouldn't mind at all."
Mari lit up at his response, "Oh! I can bring you breakfast! Are there any pastries you prefer?"
"I prefer savory over sweets." he answered.
"I can make savory tarts for you." She replied.
With a nod, Marinette left the back room and quickly left the store.
'Guard dog, huh?'
Adrien looked around and spotted Marinette already at school. He couldn't wait to see her and talk to her more about hamsters. As he made his way towards her, he watched as she made her way over to Damian. To his surprise, and likely everyone's surprise, Marinette latched onto his arm. Damian didn't seem to mind and led her away.
Damian smirked as Marinette latched onto his arm. He had seen Adrien arrive and watched as Marinette quickly made her way over to him. He hadn't expected the physical contact, but after he initiated it yesterday, she likely expected it. Damian quickly led her away from prying eyes and hushed whispers. As they walked away, he leaned down to her ear.
"Woof." he barked.
He hadn't expected her to squeak, let alone blush. He chuckled as Marinette puffed up her cheeks and let go of his arm. Cheeks still flushed, she hurried into the school. Damian turned back and caught Adrien staring at them in shock. Damian sent a glare his way before following after Marinette.

Daminette December-- So Close (And Yet So Far), Chapter Two “Blind Date”
———————————————————————————————————– Marinette absolutely adored Gotham University. She felt free there, away from the responsibilities and drama that she’d been sucked into in Paris. Ever since the defeat of Hawkmoth a few months before, Mari had found that the only tie she had to the city was her parents. Luka was touring with Jagged as an intern, Kagami had gone to Japan for pre-Olympic training and University, and Chloe was planning to move to New York with her mother after her father lost his job as Paris’s mayor. She had no contact with anyone else in the class, but she did hear what some of them were up to through Luka, who was told from Juleka. Apparently, Lila and Adrien had started dating a few weeks into the summer (Marinette had left for Gotham just a few days after graduation, staying at the university for a summer program specifically for foreign students; where she met Damian, actually, even though he wasn’t a foreign student of course), and Alya and Nino had broken up yet again soon after. They got together for the first time during their last year in college, but the relationship had always been rocky. Alya was under Lila’s command, and Nino didn’t appreciate that. Luka said that this might be the real end for them, though. Nathaniel got into a prestigious art program at the Sorbonne, and Sabrina became one of Lila’s new cronies. The rest of the class didn’t do anything that Marinette or Luka found noteworthy. As much as thinking about her old class angered her, she felt comfort in the fact that she was able to escape and find such amazing friends.
Chloe, Luka, Kagami, Allegra, Felix, Allan, Claude. And now Damian, too, as difficult as it was for him to admit.
Marinette really appreciated Damian’s sobering and serious presence. He brought her back down when she spiraled, and he actually listened to her, which she really appreciated. He wasn’t the type of person Marinette ever expected to be friends with, but she’d found their personalities really complemented each other. Tikki even thought he reminded her of a black cat, and Mari agreed.
The duo was quiet on their walk, as Mari expected they would be. Mari waved as people she knew passed by, but Damian kept walking. She had to take quicker steps to keep up with his brisk pace, but with her extra endurance she wasn’t out of breath.
It was outside one of the academic buildings that a club had set up a table covered in newspaper-wrapped books. The sign in front of the table said “BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK: $2.00”
“Oh, look!” Mari said, pointing at the table. “Let’s go over!” She grabbed Damian’s hand, an act that he surprisingly didn’t recoil from as he would have if it was anyone else who’d done it, and headed over to the table.
“Hi! Want a book?” a boy sitting behind the table asked. “Some general info is written on the front, just so you have a general idea of what you’re getting into, but all the titles are hidden.”
Marinette picked up a thin book, reading the notes on the cover. “SUPERHEROES, BIRDS, WITTY BANTER”
“Can I take this one, please?”
“It’s all yours! Just two dollars, please.”
Marinette fished through her bag and frowned. “Any chance you would take euros? I need to convert some more cash…”
“I’ve got it, Mari,” Damian said, pulling out some money from his wallet.
“No, it’s--”
“It’s only two dollars,” he replied. “No big deal.”
“I’ll pay you back,” she said, making it clear that she wasn’t going to let him get away with that.
“If you say so. Want to keep walking?”
“Yeah!”
As they walked, Marinette started to unwrap the book. “Superheroes, birds, witty banter,” she told Damian. “Any guesses?”
“Comic book?” he suggested.
“Right you are!” She held up a copy of “Batman and Robin: Bad Blood.”
Damian scoffed. So it was one of the fake stories. There was no ‘bad blood’ between him and his father, and even when Dick was acting as Batman he was sure to keep things professional.
“--are so cool!” Mari said, flipping through the pages. Damian watched to make sure she didn’t trip over anything on the ground. “Who’s your favorite?”
Damian’s favorite hero? He couldn’t say Robin; that would be conceited, and on the slight chance she ever found out his alter ego she would think he was a raging narcissist. Definitely not Todd, and he would rather die than have Grayson find out he said something nice about the eldest brother. That only left--
“I guess Red Robin is pretty cool,” he replied calmly. “What about you?”
“I really like Robin,” Mari said. “Even though he has terrible fashion sense and his costume could use a serious update.”
Damian felt an unnatural blush forming from her first comment, but her second one sobered his thoughts. “What do you mean, ‘bad fashion sense’? His costume is tasteful, and timeless!”
“More like ‘lost in time,’” Mari told him, flipping to a page in the comic that had his full outfit on display. “The cape is old-fashioned and a bit too long, and the color blocking just gives you a headache, you know? The colors work, but they’re also very bright and… violent, maybe? I can’t find the right word, but you know what I mean, right?”
“Sure,” he muttered, staring at the page. He never really thought about any of the things she said, but now those critiques were all he could see. He’d have to talk to Alfred or one of his brothers about potentially changing it.
Wait, why did he care so much what she thought of his alter ego’s outfit? For some reason, he now craved her approval. He didn’t like that feeling at all. At least she looked happy, though. He always saw a light in her eyes when she talked about fashion, and this was just the distraction she needed to get over the stress of getting so many unsolicited calls.
Damian found himself wishing he could stare at that smile forever.
———————————————————————————————————–
BONUS #1:
“So, could you find out who the number belongs to?”
“Yeah, it’s a guy named Adrien Agreste. Age eighteen. Son of Gabriel Agreste; big fashion guy. Kid’s a model, currently living in London and attending University there. Business school, of course.”
“Any chance you can make it so his number can’t call this one?” Damian asked, handing Tim a piece of paper with Marinette’s number on it. “But you aren’t allowed to look up the holder of this number. You have to promise me.”
“Yeah, sure,” Tim replied, already typing away. “Okay, so now whenever he tries to call this number he’ll get one of those ‘why are you harassing women?’ messages. That good?”
“Perfect. Thank you.”
Tim blinked. “Did you… did you just thank me for something?”
“I take it back.”
“Too late! I’m going to cherish this moment forever, Demon Spawn. I hope you know that.”
“I’ll stab you, Drake. So help me, I’ll do it right now.”
“So that is a knife in your sock! Isn’t that uncomfortable?”
“Not as uncomfortable as it would be to be stabbed by it.”
“Touche.”
———————————————————————————————————–
BONUS #2:
In the Batcave:
Damian: Do you guys think my suit is outdated?
Dick: It’s a classic!
Damian: That’s what I thought too, but recently someone I know from school said that it was ‘lost to time,’ and that the colors were blocky and too bright and I’m starting to see it.
Tim: Is it the same person whose number you gave me to block from that creep?
Jason: What person? What creep?
Damian: Drake, I swear to all that you hold dear, I will stab you.
Tim: Do it. I’m calling your bluff.
Bruce: No stabbing anyone! We’ve talked about this!
Damian (mouthing to Tim): Watch your back!
Bruce: But yeah, the outfit can be a bit much sometimes.
Dick: *indignant noises*
Damian: Alfred, can we make some changes?
Alfred: Of course, Master Damian. I’ll have some new sketches ready in the next few days.
Jason: Hope your mystery friend likes it!
Damian: *scowls at Jason* You’re next.
———————————————————————————————————–
Hope you enjoy the bonuses! They're my favorite parts that I've written so far. Also I was planning to post this earlier but I’m dumb and accidentally deleted ALL of my tabs I had up and had to reorganize everything which took a WHILE so yeah.

Reuniting with the Angel that Didn’t Come from Heaven
Yeah, I’m here again. How else. It’s not like you’re getting rid of me at this point anymore anyway. This is my prompt fill for day 2, Blind Date. Hey by the way if anyone wants to be tagged to my Daminette December stuff, hit me up, but remember I’ll tag you to both the month’s writing and art.
By the way, the seafood plate Damian mentions here is actually faux smoked salmon, porkkala, made of carrots. Porkkala is a very stupid pun in at least Finnish, as carrot is “porkkana” and fish (which salmon just so happens to be) is “kala”. That is an actual thing, and it really does taste like cold-smoked salmon so yeah. The other stuff on the plate are wakame seaweed salad with fresh cucumber noodles and seaweed hummus. That’s a dish in an Estonian vegan restaurant, V.
This is a Maribat fanfiction, so if you don’t like, do not read it.

______
“I do not need this date, leave me alone! I’m perfectly fine on my own!”, Damian yelled at Stephanie who simply laughed at his antics. She’d been trying to get him to go on blind dates for a few weeks now, with next to no success. Once she almost managed, but then his father needed him as backup and he was saved.
This time, he wasn’t as lucky.
Apparently, she’d convinced everyone (and by everyone, he really did mean everyone) to make sure they didn’t need him for the day, cleared up his calendar for the evening, found one of his many suits and gotten Alfred to clean it and then told whoever she was trying to set him up with that he was coming. Which, in turn, meant that he could either still not go and possibly offend the other person, or he could go and be irritated about it the entire evening and insult his date that way. He’d grown enough in the past years he’d lived with his family that he tried to avoid unnecessarily offending the people they knew and he didn’t.
Stephanie knew that and made sure to use it to her advantage.
“So, you wanna be rude and offend the nice girl I had such trouble finding you or are you gonna swallow your pride this one time and come? It’d be a shame if I had to tell her that you didn’t want to come because of your useless pride…” Stephanie said, a smirk growing on her lips towards the end of the sentence.
Damnit, she knew how to work her way around the issue a little too well. He was so getting back at her as soon as he got the chance. Damian sighed and glared at her before getting up and walking towards the door. “Alright, fine. As long as you won’t try to set me up with anyone ever again.”
“Great, that’s a deal. Now let’s go, we don’t want to be late!”
The drive to the restaurant was spent in silence — or, well, Damian spent it in silence and Stephanie kept singing along to the music. The only time Damian had said something was to ask if the restaurant had vegetarian foods, to which Stephanie had replied that the restaurant itself was a vegan restaurant. His date had chosen it, apparently.
He really didn’t want to go, but decided that maybe, for once, he could try to not be the ice prince Gotham had dubbed him and at the very least meet whomever Stephanie thought would suit him. He at least trusted her enough not to set him up with someone he wouldn’t get along with at all, so he might as well make the most of the night. It would, at the best, end with him gaining a new acquaintance, and it’s not like he had too many of them. His father and older brothers would probably be proud of him for actually talking with someone outside of business setting. Besides, there was vegan food and only vegan food at that, he wouldn't even need to be disgusted by the amount of people who ate meat in his immediate vicinity. And if his date had indeed been the one to choose it, well, that certainly ensured Damian wouldn't hate her.
(Even so, there had only ever been one person to truly taken an interest to in the past years was a girl with dark hair and the most enchanting blue eyes he’d ever seen that he met at the age of fifteen. Nothing had come out of that though, since she had left Gotham so soon and they never exchanged contact information, not having the time to do so. Damian had decided not to seek her out afterwards, thinking it wasn’t necessary.)
((It wasn’t like he regretted it. Much, anyway.))
Stephanie took her leave once they arrived to the restaurant, leaving Damian in front of the entrance. (“The reservation is under my name, so just go there and try not to say anything rude to anyone”, she’d told him before disappearing into the night like the bat she was.) He took a deep breath before he stepped in, trying not to pay any attention to the irritating bell that chimed softly above him.
“I have a reservation under Brown”, he told the hostess who smiled knowingly as she nodded and took him to his table. She gestured a waitress to the table before telling Damian to have a good night and left.
“Your date is checking her makeup right now, but will soon be back. Meanwhile, what would you like for starters? Your date has already ordered but asked for us to only bring her order once you’ve ordered as well”, the waitress said, smiling brightly at him. Damian looked through the menu before he found something he liked.
“I’d like to have the seafood plate, as well as a glass of pinot noir, please”, he told the waitress, who then wrote down his order and disappeared to the kitchen. Damian took out his calendar and started looking through the events of the next week, hoping to make some of his precious, wasted time useful.
He heard the sound of heels against the floor coming towards him but paid no mind to it until they stopped and the person started talking to him.
“I’m sorry it took me a while, it’s nice to meet y— Damian?”
Damian looked up, shocked to hear the surprise in the woman’s voice. The recognition in her voice, like she actually knew him instead of just knowing who he was. The way she used his first name instead of calling him a Wayne indicated that, anyway.
“Angel?”
The young woman in front of his eyes was clearly Marinette Dupain-Cheng. The girl he once met but then never saw again after she went back to Paris. The girl he might have actually liked in the romantic sense had they known each other longer.
The girl that had grown up to become a beautiful young woman.
“It’s really you! I’m so glad I got to meet you again”, she said as a smile graced her lips. She sounded relieved, for some reason. He decided not to think about it further than that for now. “The past years have been such a mess, I’m so happy that I got to meet you right away after moving here— Oh, I need to thank Chloé for this. She’s so going to use it against me for the next three months”, she continued, her smile only faltering when she mentioned her life before this.
He wanted to know what had happened but maybe it was better to leave that for later.
Now he could enjoy meeting Marinette again after such a long time.
⬷۵⤐
“Hey, Steph, move over, I need to see how my bug is doing. I didn’t spend weeks planning this only to be unable to make sure he’s treating her right. She’s had rough few years, he better treat her like the princess she is.”
“Why not a queen?”
“Because that’s me. Now shut up and move your ass.”
“Wow, to see the cold Chloé Bourgeois with a higher-but-not-necessarily-holier-than-thou attitude actually liking someone and mothering them.”
“Oh shut up. I just don’t want to have her disappointed in me after she gave me a chance. She was like, the only one that did so even though I had bullied her the most for years, there’s no way I’m gonna mess it up again. Even my own childhood friend turned his back on me, but never her.”
“Awe, that’s adorable, Chlo.”
“Shut your mouth.”
“Oh shit I think she saw us.”
“She definitely saw us, she’s glaring daggers at us. If we don’t leave soon or at least find a better hiding place, your boy and my bug are gonna beat both our collective asses.”
“Hey Chloé, how lovely to see you here. I thought we agreed to let me be in peace with my date, didn’t we?”
“We messed up, didn’t we?”
“Oh yeah you did.”

Blind Date
Daminette December Day 2
WARNING: This one turned into a crack post, don’t expect anything too good.
Marinette wasn’t sure how she had gotten herself into this situation. She was here in Gotham for a fashion internship, not to date! Then again, when you’re set up by a superhero, it’s kind of hard to say no.
She idly played with her earrings. She hadn’t had to be Ladybug for a while now, and she had to admit she missed it. Hawkmoth being behind bars was fantastic, but she missed the freedom, the thrill of sailing through the air with her yo-yo. She would have patrolled the area, but it hadn’t taken long for Marinette to gather the fact that newcomers weren’t really welcome on the justice scene. Tikki had convinced Marinette to see this as a positive thing, but she couldn’t help but feel she should be doing more.
What does one even wear to a blind date? This was absurd, why did Nightwing set her up in the first place? Marinette threw yet another blouse on the bed in the rejection pile before finally settling on a light pink sundress. It walked that fine line between casual and slightly formal, so it would be appropriate in most settings, even if the Gotham spring wasn’t particularly warm. A pair of tights and a nice jacket should fix that.
She was officially ready, and feeling a bit ridiculous. Was this all some dream?
A part of her wished it had been. She had been walking home one night when she was cornered by a few thugs. She probably could have dealt with them, but it would have been hard without transforming. She had taken one of the men down when a man in a sleek black bodysuit intervened.
He had been impressed with how quickly she had disabled the first man, and the two of them began speaking for a while. Nightwing was a little strange, but at the same time he was clever and funny. He was also interested in her. She found herself telling him about growing up in Paris and her fashion internship here. She explained why she knew so much about self defense, and told a few stories just for entertainment’s sake as he walked her to her apartment.
Before he had left, Nightwing asked for a piece of paper and scribbled an address. “Come here Friday night at six o’clock, I know someone who you would be perfect with. Just ask for Damian.”
He had left before she could reply, tell him that she was too busy for a love life right now. She had toyed with the idea of hunting the superhero down, or even just not showing up, but Marinette felt obligated to go. The American superheroes were a different breed than the Parisian ones, it would seem.
So here she found herself walking to the address on the paper. She hoped that the date wouldn’t last long, because walking home in the dark didn’t appeal to her. Especially if this was how Gotham’s heroes “helped” people.
The address was a fancier restaurant than Marinette usually went to, especially as her internship didn’t pay for much more than her room and board. She still took the occasional commission on, so she wasn’t destitute, but she couldn’t be extravagant.
“Reservation?” The hostess asked shortly, barely even glancing at Marinette.
“I’m here for a blind date? The only name I was given is Damian.”
The hostess choked, eyes wide as she stared at Marinette. “Yes, of course, just follow me this way, ma’am.”
Marinette trailed behind as they moved into a private room that was entirely too nice for a mere blind date. This whole thing was ridiculous, Marinette had things to do.
So far the other party of this date had yet to arrive. Marinette shrugged and began gnawing on a breadstick. She was contemplating what time she was allowed to leave without being rude when something crashed into the window.
It was most likely a bird, so Marinette moved forward to check on the poor thing when the window was wrenched open. She bit back a scream when the masked face of Nightwing popped in.
“Hey, sorry I’m late, it took me a while to get your date here,” the cheerful hero said, hefting a wriggling mass in through the window. “Have fun, kids!”
The wriggling mass that hit the ground pretty hard turned out to be a boy around her age, trussed up like a pig as he growled in multiple languages through his blindfold. Marinette made quick work of the knots, worriedly examining him, asking, “Are you okay, did you hit your head? Does anything hurt?”
The boy shrugged her off. “Only my pride. I’m going to murder that ridiculous bird.”
“It is kind of insane,” Marinette agreed. “What did he think, that he can just shove two civilians into the same room and expect them to fall in love?” The second the words came out of her mouth, Marinette remembered being at a zoo with two friends in a panther cage, but that was different! She wasn’t sure how, but it definitely was!
“I can almost guarantee that that is exactly what went through that fool’s mind. He should learn that he’s a vigilante, not a matchmaker,” the boy said darkly.
“He doesn’t do this, like frequently, does he?”
“Thankfully not. If he did, I would end him for the greater good.”
She couldn’t help but giggle. “That seems just a tad over the top. I’m Marinette, by the way.”
The boy simply stared at the proffered appendage. “What, do you think this makes us friends now?”
“No, not yet at least. But I figure if we’re going to enact justice on a vigilante, we should at least know each other’s names.”
Despite himself, he found his lips twisting up into a smile. “Damian.”
As they chatted about possible retribution, he couldn’t help but think that maybe Grayson was right about this girl after all.
That didn’t mean he was safe from them, though.
There you have it, the product of my sleep-deprived mind! Like I said, it’s a bit of a crack fic, but it also seems very Miraculous. Thanks for reading, and please, let me know what you think!

Blind Date
When Marinette heard that her gym partner had gotten her a date after specifically telling him that she doesn’t date, let’s just say that mad was an understatement. It took all of her willpower not to through the first punch to his face but instead pound against the bag heavily. Each breath was more hoarse than the last.
“It’ll be a great experience, Pixie-pop.” Jason Todd states grabbing her shoulder just as she throws a new punch.
“No, Jay, I told you,” Marinette takes a breath, “I’m not interested in a relationship right now.”
Jason lets out a mock chuckle. “C’mon Pixie-Pop, I can guarantee that nothing would go wrong with this plan of mine.”
Marinette turns around, her arms folded against her chest. Jason flinches away. The look of mischief ooze off of Marinette. He knows something is about to happen.
“Isn’t that what you said about the pizza joint you wanted me to do to?” Marinette presses her lips firmly together, an eyebrow is raised.
Jason rubs the back of his neck and looks everywhere but at Marinette.
“Please just do it for me?”
Marinette huffs and begins to unwrap the bandages around her hand. “Give me the time and date and I’ll be there.” She sets the bandages down, her eyes daring Jason to say something. “If this goes badly I’m outta here and you’re without a sparring partner.”
Grabbing her duffle bag, Marinette exits out the double doors.
Jason does a low fist punch and picks up his phone.
Dress in a black, lace long sleeve, cocktail dress, Marinette enters the restaurant clutching her purse. She examines the waiting room looking for the person Jason gave her a description of. Apparently, he’s Arabic, has olive skin, dark sleek hair, and has a glare like no other. She takes a deep breath and pulls out her phone.
Mari-Pop: I’m here and I don’t see him.
Jay-Jay: He’s there, trusts me.
Jay-Jay: Ask for Wayne reservation.
Marinette rolls her eyes and walks over to the podium. The host gives her a friendly smile.
“Do you need anything, Miss?” The host asks.
Marinette bites her lips, “Yes, I’m apart of the Wayne reservation.”
The host’s eyes widen. He quickly flips through a book and nods excitedly. “Oh yes, you’re in booth 19.” He looks up to Marinette, “Please follow me.”
Marinette follows the host, her breath caught in her throat. When they stop, Marinette could feel her heart pounding against her chest.
“Mr. Wayne, your date is here.” The host says gesturing to the empty seat across the man. He then disappears.
“You can leave if you want. Im not fond of our situation either.” Her mystery guy states with a scoff in the beginning. He doesn’t even look at her. What a gentleman?
“Normally, I would agree but seeing Jason beg me to come here,” Marinette takes the seat across. She gasps. He’s actually quite handsome. Maybe a few years older than herself or perhaps they’re the same age. “I had to see what him so excited.”
Damian never thought he would find himself in a situation like this, but here he is sitting across a woman that has made his heart skip a beat.
“I’m Damian.” He finally says causing his date to chuckle. He could feel the overwhelming need to twitch his eye.
She leans on the table with a seductive look on her face. “Marinette.” So that’s here name. It seems fitting, but Angel would be the correct name for her.
“How to do know Jason?” He asks finding himself intrigued by how this woman came into contact with his anti-hero, gun lover brother.
“I’m his sparring partner at the gym we both go to. I can ask the same for you?”
“He’s my brother.” Short and simple, she doesn’t need any more information.
Marinette nods and leans back into her seat.
Oh, how the chemistry grows between the two.
“I never would have guessed. What do you like to do for fun?” Icebreakers?
Damian gulps, what can he say. He doesn’t do fun unless she counts fighting the criminally insane and torture fun.
“I spar.”
Marinette raises an eyebrow. “Maybe we should do a battle. Whoever loses pays for our next date.” Date? Next date? What the hell?
“Perhaps.” Damian’s hands find a place on his chin. The classic thinking face. “Surely, I will be the one winning.”
Marinette laughs, “Don’t get too cocky, Wayne, you’ll be amazed how I can keep up.” Marinette smirks narrowing her eyes on him.
Perhaps his brother did something right for once. He can never turn down a challenge.
“Let’s finish this date and find time to make plans for our spar?”
“I like that idea, do you favor anything here.” Damn, her smile can felt the coldest ice caps faster than the sun.
Damian nods and waves down their waiter.

Blind Date
“Damian, I’m blind! Help!”
“The sun isn’t even that bright.” He sighed at her antics but allowed an amused smile to make it’s way to his face. He took his time enjoying the cool air that hit their faces.
“What made you think it was the sun that attacked me?”
“Well then, was it me that blinded you?”
She gave an offended gasp. He tried not to comment on how cute it was. “How dare you not let me use that pick-up line?” She pouted.
“Well, Angel,” he said tapping her nose, “You'll always have other times to woo me.”
His angel hmphed her way forward. “But none of those will be as precious as the one you just stole.” From the corner of his eyes, he could see his brothers shaking their heads at him disapprovingly from the tree they were taking cover in.
Marinette suddenly threw a snowball at him...ok, she didn't throw it at him. She threw it behind him, at the bush. The Bush snickered and ran off.
“Wow, they are annoying.”
“Not as annoying as my brothers taking photos of us from that tree.”
She threw him a snowball which he caught with ease. “Do you want to do it or should I?”
“I’ll do it.” He threw the snowball without turning around and heard a big thump. Marinette rose her eyebrow at him, unimpressed.
“I thought you could do better?” He didn’t answer. He made an snowball at the speed of light and threw it with as much force as he could .
It missed. It hit the ground Marinette was on just a second before. He didn't have to look around to know Marinette was gone.
Well, shit. Their date just got a whole lot dangerous. He was so freaking scared.
A snowball hit him straight in the face. He was going to go blind if Marinette kept throwing them right at his face with so much force.
He took shelter just as another snowball came towards him. His angel had just declared war. And he was not going to go easy on her.
---------
Day 2 is here! So, I accidentally posted this yesterday and I'm really sorry about that.
Anyway, I thought I'd let you all know that I have absolutely no idea how snow works. In my area, snow doesn't exist. Also, I accidentally mixed the blind date and snow prompts? Eh, I'll figure it out.
Hope you all liked it!

Daminette December-Day 2 : Blind Date
@daminette-december2019
Enjoy!!
~~
“So, you’re really not gonna tell me who it’ll be?” Marinette asks her best friend. She was rather annoyed of him for doing this. She honestly didn’t know what to think of the whole situation.
One moment they were both laughing and, all in all, just enjoying each others company, next thing she knew, Adrien had broken it out to her that he had set her up on a blind date with his boyfriend’s friend.
Her being her, she hadn’t had the heart to say no. Thinking of how sad her blind date would be to hear that she had refused the offer. Besides, after all the events occurring in the past three months or so, even she wasn’t selfless enough to not admit to herself she really needed this distraction. What with all the stress of graduating early and the bullshit storm that was called Lila and her ex-classmates.
It couldn’t be that bad, right?
Oh how wrong she was.
So, the date started off like how any normal date would, with one of the pair waiting for the other. Marinette being her usual late self, ended being the latter pair.
She was just arriving the meeting point, which was the Gotham Central Park, when she saw someone familiar.
"Damian? What are you doing here?"
Huh, Marinette thought. What a coincidence.
"I guess Agreste didn't tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
And that was how she found out that her bind date was Damian. Her friend. Now that she thought about it more thoroughly, Adrien's boyfriend, Jon Kent, was Damian's one and only true friend. She quietly berated herself for not expecting this of the couple sooner. They were a mischievous duo.
At least Jon had the decency to tell Damian, albeit it being very very last minute. When this date was over, Marinette swore to herslef that she'd give Adrien a run to the hospital.
Considering how the date had started, the events afterward were tolerable, if not also memorable.
Damian hadn't wanted to over-do it, so he had brought - more like dragged, she was still muttering curses to Adrien and Jon - to his favourite arcade in Gotham. From the point of reaching the arcade, they had a wonderful euphoric time all into the evening.
Though she had to admit, the fist few games were pretty much a disaster of them trying to find a harmonic rythym of working together, both of them having not being used to teaming-up with each other.
However it all payed out when a couple games after the first ones, they were beating most of the high scores on many of the games. At the end of the day, both of them had an inkling of the others strategic ways of planning and both Damian and Marinette had won each other prizes.
Call it coincidence, but to think fate had it that Damian won Marinette a ladybug plushy and Marinette, a Robin plushy for Damian. Well maybe fate had wanted them two together.
Both of them had only two lingering thoughts while heading to their destined places after parting ways,
Maybe they did like each other as more than a friend.
and
Those boys are going to have a piece of my fist.

Hope you enjoyed this. Just wanted to let you guys know that throughout daminette december all of the ones I do will be connected to each other. So if anyone wants to be tagged, I will make a tag list.

Daminette December Day Two: Blind Date
@daminette-december2019
BIG THANKS TO FRANCINE ! TYSM FOR HELPING ME WITH THIS ILY ILY <333 @fsketchart
“Aw come on Damian! You're going to have so much fun!” Dick yelped while helping Damian button up his dress shirt.
Dick saw the perfect opportunity to set up his pixie pop with his brother and he took it.
“I can't believe you convinced me to go on this blind date! I don’t even want to go on this stupid date!  I don't even know how this girl looks, or how she acts! Knowing you, you’d probably try to hook me up with a crazy lunatic, AGAIN!” Damian sneered.
“Don’t worry about that!" Dick said, waving off the idea with his hand.  "Pixie pop is the cutest little thing you’ll ever see! She’s super sweet and kind! She’s not crazy I swear! And the other chick I set you up with?  That was a one time thing! Sure I made a mistake *cough cough* which rarely ever happens, *cough cough* but trust me!” Dick cheered while patting his shoulder. “There! You’re all ready!”
“Pixie pop? Her name is pixie pop?” Damian said exasperated, and gave a questioning look towards his brother with eyes full of disgust.
“No! Her name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and don’t worry, you're going to love her! Everyone does!”
“Yeah, right.” He sighed while making his way to his car. If this is another lunatic I swear...
“Tikki! Where's my phone! I’m going to be late!” Marinette screamed while running around trying to gather her belongings and throwing it into her purse.
“It's right here, Marinette!” Tikki said while flying over to her and showing it to her.
“Thanks Tikki, Gosh I am so nervous! What happened if he doesn't like me? What happens if I'm overdressed? What happe-”
“Don't worry! He's going to love you trust me! Dick wouldn’t pair you up with someone that he wouldn’t trust would he?”
“Well last time if tried to hook me up with someone it didn’t go well…”
“Don't worry about Dick! That only happened once! And besides you look beautiful!”
“You really think so?” Marinette questioned while walking back to her vanity, and staring right into her mirror.
She was dressed in a light pink dress, that hugged her waist perfectly, Her hair was down in beach waves that stopped right at her shoulder, and her bangs were tucked under by two pearl clips.  She gave a little spin on her black heels in the mirror.
“You look beautiful, Marinette.”
“Thank you, Tikki.”
Marinette quickly checked her phone.
7:15. Oh gosh I have to meet Damian at the restaurant at 7:30! Way to go Marinette! Now you’re going to be late! In a panic she shoved her phone into her purse and ran out the door.
“Bye, Tikki! Stay safe!”
“Bye, Marinette! Have fun!”
7:29
Where was she? It's about to be 7:30. They were supposed to meet at exactly-
“Damian?” A soft voice came from behind him.
He quickly spun around and was met by the cutest little thing.
Wow.. she is really cute, she looks just like an angel. Damian thought to himself. There stood pixie po- no Marinette.
“Marinette?” He questioned.
“Yup, that’s me! You must me Damian, Dick told me alot about you!” She said while offering her hand.
“Yes, that's me, it's nice to meet you Marinette.” Damian said while taking her offered hand and bringing it up to his lips and placing a soft kiss to it.
Marinette blushed. Wow he's really handsome, she thought to herself. He was about a foot taller than her. He looks like a tree, my gosh! And his eyes! They were so green, greener than Adriens! Oh boy I could get lost in them! Thank you Dick, I swear never doubted you!
“Shall we?” Damian said while offering his arm.
“We shall.” Marinette smiled and took his arm into hers.
Let's see where the night takes us, both of them thought to themselves.
“Thank you for tonight Damian… I had an amazing time.” Marinette softly said while looking up to him.
“It's no problem Angel, I too had an amazing time.”
“A-Angel?” Marinette stuttered.
“A-apologies if I come off as too forward.  You just remind me of an angel.” Damian said while rocking on his heels.
“Aw thats so sweet! Thank you Dami.” Marinette said.
“It's n-no problem!” Damian wanted to hit his head into a wall from his stuttering.
They both stood at Marinette’s doorway awkwardly not wanting to leave.
“Well good night, Marinette.  I'll call you later, ok?” Damian said, while running his hand through his slicked back hair.
“Yes of course! Good night, Dami!” Marinette smiled.
As Damian turned around, Marinette quickly grabbed his hand.
“Wait!” Marinette yelped. “I-I…”
She practically flung herself towards Damian and placed the softest kiss on his cheek.
“OkbyeDamiGoodnight!” Marinette rushed out while running into her apartment.
What just happened. He thought.  Damian held a hand to his cheek before walking away with a lovesick smile plastered on his face.
Bonus :
Dick: Sooo.. Did the date go well?
Damian: Yes it did, and you were right. Marinette is fucking adorable.
I hope you guys like this! ily all and I hope y'all have a good day!

Daminette December Day 2: Blind Date
——————————————————————————
Marinette Dupain-Chang had experienced many forms of love. From platonic, familial, and romantic she stole hearts wherever she lay her feet. That was until someone stole hers, they stole her heart and only gave it back when it was broken. Who would dare harm an angel such as Marinette? Why that would be Adrien Alastair Agreste of course.
The devil himself dwelled within that boy. He stole her first kiss, first love, and her confidence in romance. Adrien was kind to others and sweet on Ladybug, but once in a relationship he became someone Marinette didn’t recognize. Possessive, hot-headed, fast to aggression, etc. could all be used to describe him.
Adrien “Sunshine” Agreste could flirt with whoever, have whatever he wanted, voice his own feelings, but kwami-forbid Marinette even suggest anything of the sort. He would lash out in the worst ways, “Why are you so clingy?” He would ask harshly, “You’re always breathing down my neck! ‘Adrien I’m right here? Stop that! Can we go out?’ It’s like it’s never enough with you!”
“Adrien... all I asked was to refer to me as your girlfriend. I didn’t ask for your hand in marriage,” Marinette responded weakly.
“I don’t like labels. You know that. Plus how would it look if I was caught dating a baker’s daughter?”
She was taken aback by that remark, “So I can pour my heart out to you, give you all of me, and all that you need, but the second I ask something of you... you can’t comply no matter how small the task?!??” Marinette was seething, “You would not only degrade me, but my family just because we aren’t as rich as you? Adrien Alastair Agreste, you can do whatever you want! It’s clear to me that you don’t love me and now I’m not sure that I love you anymore either. I wish you the best without me because you and me: don’t exist remember?”
Adrien sighed, “Don’t be petty, Marinette. There’s no reason that we can’t continue whatever this is because you can’t control your emotions.”
Marinette hadn’t said a word when she calmly walked out of the Agreste Manor, she walked all the way home without a sound or tear falling from her Crystal blue eyes. Adrien didn’t even try to stop or follow her. He believed she would come back to him no matter what he did, and he was wrong. Once Marinette was gone, there was no turning back
*Line break*
A year had passed and Marinette had turn her website, “Miss Fortune,” into her own fashion house. Adrien had tried to contact her after he realized she wasn’t coming back, but she had blocked him on everything, changed her number, blocked his number, and moved to a whole other country.
Metropolis had been kind to the French-Asian woman, it had gifted her new loves: her friends. She was blessed with Jon Kent, Felix Culpa, Bridgette Yang, Garfield Logan (they met after he went to visit Jon). She also kept in contact with a reconciled Cloé, Kagami, and Luka. She had all the love she would ever need surrounding her or just one phone call away. She’s done with Cupid. She has no need for him after he delivered her to the devil on a silver platter. She vowed that she would never find that romanticized love. And Cupid, decided to take that as a personal challenge.
“Marinette please,” Jon clasped his hands together and pleaded with the French-Asian woman, “ i’m begging you here, one date that’s all I’m asking!”
“Jon, I’m not going to go on a date with someone I’ve never met. Who do you think I am?” Marinette said while working out.
“If not for you than for me, please! It’s my best friend and I promise he’s a good guy!” Jon was practically on his hands and knees at this point.
“You know how I feel about romance,” Marinette said just below a whisper.
“I know and I respect that, but he could really use someone as beautiful, talented, and sweet like someone like you,” Jon looked like a kicked puppy.
One look in his eyes and she was gone. Rookie mistake. Marinette sighed, “ I- you know what? Fine. I’ll go on this date just for you, but I swear if he is creepy or tries anything, Jon, I will not hesitate to destroy him.”
“You have my word my queen,” he said playfully.
“ Okay Superboy,” she laughed at his remark. It hadn’t taken her long to figure out that Job and Superboy are the same person.
How was he supposed to have a secret identity when his only protection is a pair of glasses when he’s a civilian? In retaliation she had disclosed to John that she was moonlighting as a superhero as well, Longmu. With Longg at her side now, Marinette became what is known as the queen of the dragons in China.
Luckily, Marinette did not have to make a new dress for the occasion. She had previously made a red cheongsam embroidered with flowers and ladybugs on top, there was a slit on her right leg that ended mid thigh, her hair was pinned back by two black hair clips, she wore black 4 inch stilettos, and had a black handbag with a rose painted on the front. Marinette is too humble to admit that she looked like a goddess.
After finishing getting ready, Marinette had 30 minutes before she had to be at the restaurant that they were meeting at. She had outgrown the habit of being late since she had become the CEO and founder of “Miss Fortune.” this restaurant in particular was her favorite. She’d come here whenever she had the time, and knew almost all of the staff by name.
Being a hero herself, Marinette, had made reservations to be poised out looking in the front door. Having said that she did not expect to see Robin in Metropolis, only to see him disappear and find another green eyed, black haired, gorgeous boy in his wake. said boy was none other than her date Damien Wayne.
The name seemed familiar, however, Marinette couldn’t put her finger on where she had heard it from. In any case she called him towards her table, “You must be Damien! Hi, my name is Marinette,” she extended her hand to greet him.
Damien was taken aback by Marinette beauty, though he’d never admit it. He quickly recovered and took her out reach to hand. He then took her hand up to his face to kiss it, “Damian, nice to meet you.”
After they were introduced, they had fell into pleasant Conversation and were beginning to be getting to know each other. They had ordered their food and ate dessert. Even after they paid, they stayed to chat. Not wanting the night to end so soon, Damien had offered the invitation to stroll around Metropolis city park.
As they continued their stroll, they came across a would be mugger. Before Damien could act, Marinette had already disarmed and pinned the man to the floor. She twisted his arm behind him as she asked if Damien was all right, “Hey, you okay? He didn’t hurt you did he?”
“How could he when you took them down before he had a chance? In any case, thank you,” Damian was impressed by Marinette’s combat skill, but had the question of how she knew what she knew.
Superboy had shown up to retrieve the criminal, “Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you know I could’ve gotten here before he did anything! You shouldn’t put yourself in unnecessary danger!” He whined even though it was all for show. Superboy knew that Marinette could easily beat him in a fight without kryptonite. Magic is his weakness after all.
“ I know but I had some precious cargo to take care of,” she sent a wink towards Damian’s direction. Suddenly it was 100 degrees on Damian’s face.
He knew Jon would never let him live this down, but what’s this about this not being the first time she has taken down wantabe thugs. Superboy finished his mock scolding and left with the apprehended suspect to the police station. Also, she’s the Marinette Dupain-Chang, “Wait, you said you’re into fashion, right? You would let happen to be the owner of the Miss Fortune fashion house, would you?”
Marinette nodded gingerly, “Yes, that’s me.”
“My brother would die if he knew it was you I was going out with tonight. He’s a huge fan of your work.”
“I’d be happy to sign something for him. And maybe give you my number?” Marinette asked sweetly.
She didn’t know what had gotten into her, after a year of not wanting anything to do with romance why would this guy (that she’s only known for a couple of hours) make a difference. She didn’t know, but also she didn’t mind, “That is, if you want it.”
“Yes!” Damian cleared his voice, “He would appreciate that, and I would be greatful if I could have your number. And if I maybe so bold, would you be willing to accompany me on another date some time soon?”
Cupid looked at the girl how would try and defy him with a smirk. No one can resist their fate. Marinette nodded rapidly, “I would love to, Damian.”
The night came to a close with both superheroes on cloud nine. Something about the other would draw them together. Once each had their chance, they would thank Jon for setting up this blind date for them.
*Line Break*
Two years have passed since their first date, now Damian and Marinette were attending a Charity Gala for Bruce when they came across Adrian “Asshole” Agreste. He had seen Marinette by herself as Damian stepped away to mingle with his brothers for a momment and Adrien saw an opening, “Long time no see, Princess.”
Marinette didn’t even acknowledge his presence, just as he did all those years ago. He no longer exsites to Marinette. Adrien died years ago in Marinette’s mind. She’d brushed him off in search of her boyfriend.
Adrien didn’t take kindly to being ignored, “So that’s it then? You’re not even going to say ‘hello?’ That’s petty.”
Marinette continued walking, refusing to turn back to give him what he wants. Eventually she found her loving boyfriend, only to find him down on one knee in front of everyone. Marinette raised her hands to her face in disbelief, “Marinette Louise Dupain-Cheng, I’ve been in love with you from the momment I laid my eyes on you. Every day I thank Jon for forcing me to go on that blind date with you. You are radiant, brilliant, talented, and many more things. Would you do me the honors of marrying me and adding Wayne to your already long name.”
Marinette’s face was wet with tears, she couldn’t find what to say. All she could do is nod and kiss her fiancée. Adrien was seething, he had lost.
Cupid looked down again, smirking in triumph. Looks like he won against another goddess and the devil.

Daminette December Day 2: Blind Date
Damian really didn’t understand why Grayson insisted he come out like this; He wasn’t interested in finding any type of partner. Forcing him into a date with some girl he had never meet wasn’t going to end well. Damian wasn’t known for being nice, He was quick to insult people without realizing they where even upset afterwards. That’s just how Damian was, he didn’t care about other people's feelings.
But here he was. Dick was determined this this girl was perfect for him and he had to meet her. Dick had been bugging him about this girl for weeks now saying all he had to do was ask her. After what seemed like forever, Damian had agreed if for nothing else but silence from the older male. Dick had called the girl and set them up on a blind date but the end of the week.
That leaves Damian in his current situation; Sitting in a restraint waiting on some mystery girl. He had shown up just a few minutes early and got a table after scanning the room for a girl that matched Dick’s description with no luck. Within minutes a small Asian looking girl was standing at the other side of the table beaming at him with the biggest blue eyes he had ever seen.
“Hello, are you Damian?” Her voice was soft and had a heavy French accent. She was easily the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her hair was done in two very cute buns, her makeup was light and mostly just around her eyes making them seem even larger than they already where. He was at a loss of how someone could even look as attractive as she did standing before him smiling like that.
“Yes, I’m sorry Grayson didn’t give me your name?” She all but glowed at him after he answered her and she took her set across from him offering him her hand which he took eagerly to his own shock. The idea of getting to touch her excited him even if it was just a handshake.
“My name’s Marinette but you can call me Mari. It’s a pressure to meet you officially Damian. Dick has told me a lot about you and your other brothers.” How was it that Grayson had known this female before him? How was it fair that he was going to have to thank his brother for introducing him to such an angel? They looked over the menus for a few minutes making small talk before the waiter came over and took their orders.
“So, Marinette, how is it that you came to meet Grayson? He has mentioned wanting me to meet you for while but he hasn’t actually told me anything about you or how you meet.” Damian asked leaning back in his seat and looking at the small girl across from him.
“It was on a running trail; I like to keep up with my fitness as much as possible. He and I just meet by chance really and ending up making a habit of contacting each other before we headed out so we could keep the other company. I don’t think he really liked the idea of me running out there by myself.  I don’t mind the company at all and he keeps good conversation.” She said happily.
The conversation flowed easily for the rest of the night, Damian walked her home and they exchanged numbers with the promise of another date in a few days. Marinette stood on her toes and gave Damian a kiss on the check before slipping into her apartment with a giggle and goodnight.
Damian raised his hand to his check and gave a small smile.
Oh, how he dreaded Grayson's reaction when he got home. He just hoped he would be able to see the angel sooner rather than later. Grayson's teasing would be fine as long as he got the chance to see a lot more of Marinette.

Daminette December 2022: 14-Toxic (Meme)
"Mrs. Wayne, I apologize for the call, but there is a situation at the school with your daughter." a voice spoke, "We need you to come down to the school."
"I'll be right there." Marinette answered.
Marinette quickly made her way to her husband's office.
"I have to head to the school. They called and said something happened with Amaya." she stated.
"What happened?" Damain asked.
"I don't know." she frowned, "They just asked me to head over there."
"I'm coming, too." Damian declared.
They both knew what likely awaited them. Amaya had told them of a girl, who was deemed as 'New Pop'. She was the latest popular girl at school for dating the basketball star. The girl had become angry when she learned that her boyfriend had previously asked out Amaya and she had turned him down.
Marinette frowned as she walked the halls. After hearing Amaya saying how people were questioning her, she quickly filled her in about dealing with Lila. She never wanted her daughter to feel that way.
"Where are this girl's parents? You told me her mother would be here thirty minutes ago!" a voice screamed.
'Why does that shouting sound familiar?'
'The school called me ten minutes ago, that liar!'
Damian quickly grabbed Marinette's hand. He knew if he didn't stop her, he also would hurt whoever was yelling about their child. Marinette slammed the door open and glared at the people inside. She quickly recognized their newest secretary. She had seen the way she stared at her husband.
"M-Mr. Wayne!" Claire exclaimed, "Wha-"
"I think the question is why are you shouting at my daughter." Damian growled, "We can hear you down the hallway."
Claire shook under the glares from the Waynes. Amaya quickly rushed over to her parents and hugged them.
"What seems to be the problem?" Marinette asked.
Claire cleared her throat, "Your daughter is bullying mine!"
Mari sighed.
'I thought as much.'
"We have taught our daughter to never bully anyone." she replied.
"Well, you didn't do a good job." the secretary huffed, shoving her daughter forward.
"And you didn't let me finish, Claire." Marinette interrupted, "I taught her bullying was wrong because I was bullied. I also taught her to look for all the warning signs."
"Warning signs?" the principal asked.
"For example, before calling me, you asked where this took place and looked up the footage. We pay good money to make sure this place is ran correctly."
"The altercation was in the bathroom." the principal answered, "No cameras."
"I see. How did she hurt you?" she asked the injured party.
"She hit me." the girl sobbed, revealing her bloody face.
"With what?" Marinette questioned.
"Her hands." Michelle sniffed.
Marinette got her daughter's hands and looked them over.
"Delicate and soft. Not a scratch or a scar. Nothing under her nails and none of them are broke or chipped. There's not a sign of bruising or blood." Marinette stated, turning over her daughter's hands infront of them.
"She washed it off!" Michelle shouted.
Marinette smiled and pulled out a black tube. She clicked on a button and it lit up. She hovered it over her hands.
"This is a black light." Mari announced, "Not a trace of blood. Even if she had washed it off, this would have revealed it. There's not even a trace of it on her clothes. Also, she would have had defense marks from you trying to hurt her."
Claire looked down towards her daughter.
"Her father and I noticed a bottle of paint in the hallway, on the floor. I hope that wasn't yours." Mari smiled.
"Wh-why would it be?" the 'New Pop' answered, looking away.
"Oh, good then." Marinette sighed, in exaggerated relief, "For a second there, I thought we needed to call an ambulance. It said it contained toxic chemicals. To keep away from your face and that it could cause burns and blindness."
The popular girl screamed and quickly ran out of the room. Marinette smiled.
"How?" the principal asked.
"My bully tried the same trick with me." Marinette shrugged, "Poor thing was a model. Now, she's not."
Claire quickly moved to rush after her daughter.
"Claire." spoke Damian.
"Y-Yes, sir?" Claire questioned, hesitantly.
"You are fired." he declared.
"What?" she asked, shocked.
"Your daughter must have learned her tricks from someone close." he stated, "As I recall, you called out sick today. You look perfectly healthy to me. From your appearance, you appeared to have wallowed in someone's bed and rushed over. Your lipstick is still smeared and your heels are on the wrong feet."
Claire whimpered and rushed out.
The principal smiled, "I'm sorry for calling you. I know you would want to know."
"I'm glad that the situation was taken care of so quickly." Marinette smiled.
"Bullying needs to be dealt with swiftly, not down the road. We are never too busy for her. If possible, I would prefer them to be with separate teachers and lunch schedules." Damian declared.
"I'd also ask a student that is truthful to the staff to listen out for any rumors or even ask if they have heard any already." Marinette brought up, "If she's anything like mine, she's been telling people this has been going on for awhile. They will likely believe the other girl over our daughter."
"I'll ask the art students about the paint. They know who goes in and out of the room, the most, and can help spread the word." the principal replied.
"Can I go home for today?" Amaya questioned.
"I think that will be best." the principal answered, "I'd rather have you here at your best."
As the Waynes left the school, they noticed an ambulence in front of the school.
Amaya smiled and shouted, "I hope they can remove all that paint you put on your face, Michelle! It would be a shame if you blinded yourself with toxic paint!"
The girl cried harder as she was loaded into the back. Quickly, everyone started whispering.
'That's my girl.'
"Amaya, are you okay?" a girl ran up and asked.
"Yeah." Amaya smiled, "My parents took care of it. They saw a paint bottle and mentioned it. They said it was toxic and could blind people. Michelle ran out screaming and outted herself as a liar, in front of her mother and the principal."
"Are you going home?" the girl asked, "Are you in trouble?"
"I'm not in trouble." the Wayne heiress declared, "I'm just going home early. I'll be back tomorrow."
The Waynes walked away from the school and towards the car.
"If you ever get in an actual fight, I expect you to win." Damian spoke, as he closed the car door.
"But show restraint. " Marinette stated, "We don't need a call that you put a kid in an ambulence for breaking their ribs."
Amaya smiled, "What about a finger?"
Marinette rolled her eyes, "As long as it's not severed."
Amaya looked to her father, who smirked at his little warrior.
"I'm glad you listened and waited for us to arrive." Marinette spoke up, "I never want you to go through what I did."
"I don't think Father would allow it." their daughter replied.
"Who said I would do anything?" he answered with a smirk, "I'm sure Todd would be just as effective in relocating a child, while you appear publicly, with a solid alibi."

Daminette December 2020 - fireworks
Masterlist
*
“If you don’t want then…” she whispered hesitantly as he fidgeted in the driver’s seat. She squeezed his hands reassuringly. “We can always postpone this to a later date. I will be...”
“No.” He found his voice. It wasn't as strong or stoic as used to be. He was nervous. “I will introduce you to my family.” He took a big breath. “Tonight.” He nodded to himself.
“Why…” she mused a little bit. “Why are you so afraid about it?”
Damian never thought he was afraid. No, he was terrified.
“I…” He pulled his girlfriend closer to his body to reassure himself. “You know how difficult I was when I was dropped by my mother.” She hugged him harder. “But you didn’t know what I did. What an abnormality I was in his life. I...”
He was silenced with soft lips. Marinette always knew how he could be calmed. It was kind of a second nature of hers. And now she was trying to add everything in this kiss, he felt it. Her loyalty, her kindness…. Her love.
“You are MY boyfriend.” she said after some moment to get oxygen. Her blushed face, and her reddish lips pulled an impish smile. “I am the only one who can punish you.”
Damian just blinked at the statement then he grinned. “And that was my sentence?”
“No.” She sat back in the passenger’s seat. “It will come when you break in my dorm room on Saturday.”
He laughed at the casual mention of their offending methods. As he started the car he spoke. “You know, after tonight I don’t think it will be that easy.”
“Oh! I think your superiority will come handy this time.” she winked. Then her face turned serious again. “However, you have to learn to appreciate yourself. And I think your family knows you very well, if I count the endless teasing or embarrassing stories you told me.” She looked out to the rushing view. “After all they did everything to get you home.”
And they did everything to get me back, alive.
Damian sighed. He knew she was right, and as much they irritated him they were his family. But he couldn't help himself, as they got closer to the manor that his grip at the wheel tightened. As they saw his family’s standing silhouettes his stomach turned upset with nervousness. As he stepped out of the car, and helped Marinette, his blood pressure jumped high.
They stood in front of his family. Even Todd came.
Wait!
His grinning family.
Damian’s eyes narrowed.
Drake pressed something.
BUMM!
Colorful sparks flew to the dark sky and exploded with such a brightness it almost got him blinded.
He instinctively pulled Marinette closer, the girl was in the same stunned state as him if her strong grip was anything else. As their bewilderment began to disappear, Drake pressed another something.
With another - more silent -  bumm, above of the manor entrance a banner lowered down. With a bright pink caption.
Congratulations! It’s a girl!friend! ♥
The ‘friend’ was obviously made by hand to add. His imbecile family stood under it with such a pride that canceled every negative thought in Damian’s mind about this introducing.
“I will stab you all in your sleep!”

Daminette December #2 - Blind Date
For @daminette-december2019
I’m a day late and it isn’t betaed, but if I don’t post it now, I never will. I apologize for any spelling and grammars errors, English is not my first language. I hope it’s still intelligible.
.
Marinette was minding her own damn business when she was ambushed.
She was on her way to what was promising to be a great date and, okay, she was maybe a bit late, but Damian knew that it was a possibility and wasn’t going to hold it against her.
(Unfortunately, he couldn’t quite anticipate her time of arrival, because she sometime happened to be on time.)
Anyway. Marinette was making her way to the subway when she was suddenly stopped by Alya’s smiling face.
“Wha-!”
“Marinette!” she exclaimed. “Girl, I have the best news! You’re going on a date!”
Marinette opened wide round eyes, because yes, she was. But Alya wasn’t supposed to know that. Neither Alya, nor anyone else in her class, had paid her any mind in well over a year. Lila had gotten what she wanted; Marinette couldn’t call her classmates her friends anymore. It used to bother her, but she had grown past that and now she was thriving away from their suffocating demands. And now they seemed to have suddenly realized that Marinette was still around and part of their class.
“It’s going to be so romantic!” Rose exclaimed, clapping her hands happily, and that’s when Marinette realized that all her female classmates (except Lila, Chloé and Sabrina, thank God) were surrounding her.
“What?”
“Come on, girl, we need to get you to your date!”
And then, they were all pushing her down the subway staircase, ignoring her protests.
They didn’t board the subway that Marinette should have used if she wanted to be somewhat on time for her date with Damian. No one was listening to her, speaking over her, no matter what she tried. She couldn’t text Damian her predicament because both Rose and Alix had a vice grip on each of her arms and she was starting to get a bit teary with frustration. It was an all-around very upsetting situation.
It was almost a relief to get off the subway even if she was still being dragged around like a ragdoll.
“Alya. Everyone. Please. What are we doing here?” She asked when they had all finally stopped in front of a nice enough restaurant.
“Okay, girl. Today’s the day. We organized you a blind date and you can’t blow it up! Weeks of preparation went into this! You can do it! We all believed in you!”
“A… blind date?” She repeated slowly.
Was Alya serious, right now? A blind date? Weeks of preparation? It’s true that the girls had been extra giggly lately, but Marinette had ignored it in favor of a new suit design for Damian. It was going to be a dark forest green with a golden embroidered waistcoat. Marinette was giddy with anticipation just imagining Damian in it. She couldn’t wait for it to be finished.
“Well, it’s not really a blind date for you. But Adrien doesn’t know that you’re the girl he’s going to be meeting!” Rose gushed with far too much enthusiasm.
Marinette couldn’t keep down a wince and Alya’s eyes immediately narrowed.
“No, girl,” she said forcefully. “It’s time to stop wiggling out of it. You’re going to tell Adrien how you feel and you’re going to do it tonight!”
“Alya, I don’t want to date Adrien.”
“I don’t want to hear it! Now go!”
The other girls encouraged her with big, bright smiles and they all basically pushed her through the restaurant’s door. Fuming, Marinette made her way to Adrien’s blond head.
She dropped into the seat in front of him and he looked up with a bright smile that slowly turned confused.
“Marinette? Are you my blind date?”
Without an answer, she fished her phone out of her purse. She was now more than thirty minutes late and she had two missed calls. Damian was starting to worry.
She sent him a quick text with her location and asked if he could come pick her up.
Behind Adrien, she saw their classmates claimed a table where they could perfectly see Marinette and Adrien’s own table. Alix went so far as to give her a thumb up and Marinette remaining patience.
Adrien was still looking at her like a confused fish out of water and Marinette sent her best withering glare. It was a very good glare; she had learnt it from Damian.
Adrien tried to engage in conversation, but Marinette kept her mouth firmly shut.
She’d been over her crush for years now. Ever since she realized that she deserved better than a naïve, spineless piece of white bread. She was, in a way, very glad for Lila, because she had shown Marinette, everyone’s true colors. And Marinette did not need toxic people in her life.
The restaurant’s door burst opened just after Adrien had sent the waiter away, requesting more time. Now, Marinette was always very glad to see, Damian, but at this very moment, he was like a vision of God, and her shoulders slumped in relief.
His gaze zeroed on her in just a few seconds and the line of his lips soften even as his scowl deepened.
“Angel?” he called, hurrying to their table.
“Dami, hey,” she answered, getting up.
He kissed her forehead, his arm now circling her waist was a familiar weight.
“Mari, who is he?” Adrien, who had also straightened out of his seat, asked, narrowing his eyes.
“Adrien, I’d like you to meet my boyfriend Damian.” She turned to Damian, her smile more genuine. “Dami, my classmate Adrien Agreste.”
“Charmed, I’m sure,” Damian drawled, not even bothering to offer a handshake. “Are you ready, Angel? We should get going if we don’t want to completely lose our reservation.”
“Yes, let’s go!”
“Wait. Wait. Marinette, what’s going on?”
Marinette turned to face him, pointing behind him. “Our classmate organized this ‘blind date’. I was not aware. I did not consent. And I’m now going on that date I had already planned with my boyfriend. Any following questions will have to wait until Monday. We’re already late.”
And then, Damian swept her away. One last backward glance showed Alya’s astonished face. It tasted like victory.
Monday morning was going to be hell, but tonight still held promise if Damian’s soft smile was any indication.

Daminette December-- So Close (And Yet So Far), Chapter One “Just a Friend”
“Mari, who keeps calling you?” Damian asked as the pair sat at a table in the library of Gotham University. The two had known each other for only a few months now, but Damian already knew her expressions and mannerisms quite well. He noticed that whenever her phone vibrated she tensed, even if it ended up being her parents or one of their mutual ‘friends’ (Damian throws the word around loosely; they’re Marinette’s friends more than his, but he tolerates them. At least one of them, Felix, has a similar disposition to him. That makes it a bit more bearable). Usually, though, it was an unknown number that made her uncomfortable, but it seemed like she knew the number but intentionally didn’t include it in her contacts.
She always gave the same answer when Damian asked.
“Oh, it’s… it’s just a friend from home, that’s all,” she’d say, not meeting his eye. She still had a bit of an accent, but thanks to tutoring with Chloe she’d become proficient in English. Then she’d hurriedly change the subject, usually back to the assignment she was working on or talking about the surprisingly nice weather on a given day. Damian didn’t often press, but today he did. He didn’t really know why, but he just felt like he needed to. Something about this caller was making his friend unhappy, and he was sick of just letting it happen. He was Robin, after all; it was his duty to help those in need.
“Please, will you tell me? I know it bothers you.”
“It’s just a guy from lycee, that’s it. I promise,” she replied, plastering a smile on her face. It was too obviously fake.
Damian leaned forward. “Mari, please. It’ll just stay between you and me, and I do not judge.” That last part was somewhat of a lie, though; he judged his brothers, he judged many of his classmates silently, but he would never judge Marinette. He didn’t have the heart to do it.
Mari sighed. “Fine. Long story short, old friend became very toxic, I got a new phone, somehow he got the new number, and I can’t change my number again because of certain contacts-- and besides, it costs money that doesn’t need to be spent-- and I answered once and we fought, so I never answered again. I don’t know how he calls so much, since he’s supposed to be at University in London.”
Damian just stared at her for a minute. The longer he stared, the more she squirmed.
“Are you going to say something or what?”
“What? Oh, sorry,” Damian replied, taking a deep breath. “That guy sounds like an ass. You should press charges.”
“Yeah, right! His father is one of the top designers in France, and he’s one of the most famous models in the world! Meanwhile, my parents are bakers, and any money I’ve made from designing goes straight to paying for University.”
“I-” Damian started, but the phone started vibrating again, shaking the table and making both of the teens stare angrily at the screen. Marinette exhaled and hit the ‘decline’ button, but not before Damian could see the number. He made a mental note to give the number to Tim; hopefully he could do something about it.
“How about we go for a walk?” Damian suggests. “Get your mind off of him. One condition, though-- phones go on airplane mode.” He realized right after he said it that it might not be the best idea to limit his contact to his family in case of an emergency, and Marinette had the exact same idea.
“How about just on vibrate? I really should have it on and connected in case someone needs me,” Mari said.
Damian nodded. “Of course,” he replied before standing up and slinging his backpack over his shoulders. “Shall we?”
“Yes, we shall.” Mari laughed and followed Damian outside.
“So, where to?”
“Let’s just see where fate takes us.”
