Alright so I'm a cluster b autistic with a special interest and since I love him so much I wanna talk about Damien and his PDs!

Joan, who should know better, tells Damien he has ASPD because she's trying to tell him he's a no good very bad person and she doesn't like him (yikes).

Why should she know better? Because Damien isn't struggling with chronic feelings of emptiness or experiencing little to no emotion outside of anger. His impulsive behavior is not born out of a chronic, severe boredom or restlessness caused by absent or muted feelings. He's not seeking stimulation to alleviate the boredom or elicit strong feelings from himself.

Damien is struggling with not recognizing or understanding his own emotions or the emotions of others, not understanding his impact on or significance to other people, and not knowing how to handle the intensity of emotions he experiences. His impulsive behavior is more of a result of seeking admiration or praise from other people and fear of abandonment.

Because Damien, imo, has NPD + BPD. He is dealing with self-esteem and emotional dysregulation.

As a note, Damien does talk about interacting with people because he's "bored." This is his stated reason a couple of times. But it comes across to me as caping for the fact that he is actually severely lonely, and always in need of something only other people can give him.

Arum lilies signify ardour, so very strong passion, but they can also be connected to death (which is either very fitting conisdering Arum's obvious depression or very ironic considering his immortal-ish-ness) because it used to be a popular funeral flower. And then amaryllis flowers (which are really pretty btw) can either mean pride, determination or beauty I adore all three of their flower meanings they fit so well!!!

Why did nobody tell me honeysuckle means devoted and everlasting love? And Arum has just been calling Damien that casually?!

Smosh doing like a really big charity stream, it's like 24 hour sleepover themed and Damien's there and reader is like crew or something and at one point they all decide to play a brand new game on live, that the reader is like OBSESSED with, but reader is also kind of insecure about talking about there hyper-fixations/infodumping/feel like they talk to much and are annoying or something so they have a hard time talking about there interests with others, but Damien is perceptive like that (He’s so in love with them it’s unfair) so he knows they at the very least like, and have played the game before so they invite her over to sit and play on stream with them and she sits next to Damien and they both end up just geeking out all night while playing and reader tries to like apologize and be like ‘im sorry if I talk to much about this you can just tell me to shut up if you need to haha’ and Damien’s like ‘no I like listening to you talk, this is great’ and eventually everyone else is like ‘nah man youre commentary is actually making this game make WAY more sense lol’ and eventually at some point as it gets later reader is the cuddly affectionate, giggly type of tired and ends up falling asleep on Damien and Damien’s like 😮 “what do I do??” L

When they found out that The Last of Us was being played it was chaos at Smosh, so as soon as they were approached about being apart of the stream to help with parts that they could get stuck in- they were all in. Jacked in and ready to play, Shane and Spencer sat with Courtney and Damien and you sat together and eventually Amanda arrived to set with drinks for all. The games screen was on and the animation of a old broken down window with a curtain blowing in the wind, it was time to play and Damien held the controller as it started snd the subtitles were on screen as Amanda watched intently, with a quirked eyebrow as she processed the introduction to the fireflies. Now what the part they were all waiting for, the story- but Amanda asked questions consistently “Actually, it’s not a normal zombie outbreak like walking dead! It’s based off of a strange fugus called Cordyceps that kills bugs and basically eats at their brain so that the fungus can basically shoot out spores to spread it quicker. But any and all bread products is where the outbreak began-“ they paused and felt their face flush at the explosion of information

They seemed to go quiet as the game started, playing as Sarah as she woke up at the phone ringing. Shane carefully moved to joystick as he was prompted to, Courtney looked at them “Hey- we don’t mind you know? It gives us more story to follow.” They smiled at the other and nodded “thank you Court.” Damien carefully set a hand on their arm “I like hearing you talk about stuff you enjoy.” He spoke softly as they leaned forward and watched the screen intently.

Some time passed as Shane panicked and played Joel as he ran with Sarah in his arms after the car accident, You made quick work of explaining where to go so he didn’t get killed fast- he screamed at the Q to E and shoved the zombie away.

A group all speaking quickly and getting nervous as they were shoved into the bar by Tommy as he made his way around the bar to meet them. Making quick work as they ran down the hill and the SWAT officer yelled, quickly you sat up and watched the scene intently. Knowing exactly what was going to happen as Damien watched as the screaming and yelling at the screen began- Shane’s mouth hung open as Courtney leaned against him with a hand over their mouth

Tears in others eyes over the scene, as it lead to the screen the load into the game. Quickly you picked up “They had to retake this scene so many times that Hana Hayes the actress- who was 14 at the time of doing mo-cap was emotionally exhausted by the end of it. Oh! And the actor that voices- Joel voiced by Troy Baker was the youngest to audition for his role!” Damien nodded as he listened intently and Courtney smiled “That’s impressive work though- I think if I was alone I’d be sobbing-“ they chuckled softly wiping at their eyes as Spencer rubbed their back to console them.

A few hours in and the stream was getting pretty long at this point, you did your best to keep your eyes open but being around friends always made you feel safe and comfortable as you leaned against Damien who happily let you and hummed, after about another 30 minutes the stream was getting set hi to focus on another group and Damien moved to look at you and paused “Uh- are they asleep?” He didn’t wanna risk waking them up and quirked an eyebrow up as Courtney nodded and Shane covered his mouth “I was wondering where the facts and stuff went- we’re kinda keeping me off edge playing.” You heard them talking about you and groaned as you shifted and wrapped an arm around Damien and rolled your eyes “You guys suck-“ you huff and look up to see Damien looking down at you with a soft smile as you nuzzled against his chest to hide from his gaze and force the flush from your face to go away. Shane laughed and Courtney playfully ‘awed’ as Damien wrapped his arm around you “This is bullying-“ he joked and you chuckled as you sat up “We can play more later- it’s past my bedtime I’m such an old man.” The stream moved over to Angela, Arasha, Noah, Kieth, Ian and Anthony. Thy were playing the Quiet game and Ian was holding the noodle and had the blindfold on since he won the last pit challenge game.

The gaming group went to go get food and get into comfy clothes quickly, Damien in a baggy Smosh Tee-shirt and pajama pants, you in a tank top and a purple fuzzy sweatshirt that had bunny ears attached at the hood with matching pajama shorts. He saw you and his smile brightened for a moment but as soon as you look at him his gaze quickly moved away as he ignore the heat in his cheeks at just how cute you looked. You watched him for a few moments and approached him and playfully poked his chest “Hope I don’t look to ridiculous.” You chuckled as Courtney, Spencer and Shane came out in onesies- Eeyore (Shane, it was the biggest one they could find that wouldn’t rip at the seams) , Winnie the Pooh (Spencer, cause I mean come on) and Piglet (Courtney cause they knew they could make it match their makeup for the day.)

Shane moved forward and looked at you “Hey, your stealin Spencer’s vibe!” He teased softly as you turned and squinted at him and poked his chest “Fucker- I look more like Bonnie then I do any Winnie the Pooh character.” You huffed dramatically as Courtney saw you “Yes! Bonnie core!”

imagine being a cast/crew member, and you're dating damien secretly (no one in the smoffice has found out abt your relationship yet). in the middle of lunch break as everyone else enjoys their freshly delivered lunch orders, you and deem sneak out into his car. he drives you to a funky fusion restaurant that both of you were begging to go.

it may be spontaneously planned as either of you were too busy to book a reservation. luckily the place accepts walk-ins at this time on a wednesday (you both learned later on that it's usually packed during the weekends).

after enjoying an awesome lunch meal together, you and damien sneak into one of two unisex bathrooms available in the restaurant. you've been itching for some intimacy as, like i said before, both of you got extremely caught up with work. you've made out a LOT - breathless open mouthed kisses, tight embraces, getting way too close that you're practically grinding on each other. you would have loved to take things on a different level, but the joyous moments were suddenly interrupted by a set of loud knocks on the door. damien checked the time and WHOOPS we're only 15 minutes away from getting back to work hahahaha

you hurry back to the car, and you enjoy the comforting sounds of damien infodumping some extra lore on fusion food as he drives back to the smoffice for more shooting stuff, meetings, and extra desk work. while a huge pile of tasks set for the remainder of the day have kept both of you occupied, the prospects of you and damien continuing where you left off from the restaurant restroom and into your home has you brimming with so much excitement.

oh believe me i had to force myself to try and keep this paragraph short lol

So in 2012 Markiplier uploaded a short video called “Don’t blink” in which he stares ominously at the camera without speaking as a distorted version of his face appears in the background. A month later he posted a similar video called “Don’t move.” Fans decided to create a character based on these videos called “Darkiplier” as in “Dark Markiplier” and came up with lots of headcanons and designs and stuff for this non-existent character, that is, until 2017 when A Date With Markiplier made him canon and Who Killed Markiplier gave him a backstory.

Zoophobia is okay but...

I did it, I finally caved in and started reading ZooPhobia, you know? The Comic that Viv put on hiatus (in the comic industry when a comic is on hiatus it means its cancelled, see: Mega Man Archie Issue 55 for more.)

The series was mediocre at best because it was written by a young Viv, but coming from someone who was from the Hazbin/Helluva Fandom its... Not all that different.

Pros

Color Palettes are varied, you don't have red and black all the damn time. The cast actually has pastel, some of which aren't borderline eyestrainy.

The beginning of the story sets us up to a good premise.

Cons

While the beginning was off to a fantastic start, the middle and \towards the end shifted from Cameron (Our supposed main character) to the High School Drama. There was a subplot with Zill and his girlfriend fighting but just like Chaggie it was resolved and even mocked about for being cliched.

Since it was on Hiatus there was not much left answered and some things are confusing.

What the hell is Zill?

Similarities between Zoophobia and Helluvaverse

It's not any secret that the main characters from Hazbin Originated from ZooPhobia but I feel most of the storylines that existed in ZooPhobia was also repurposed into Hazbin or Helluva or even straight up transferred, most plots that were possibly planned or so would be in this exactly.

ZooPhobia has the same issues Hazbin has, the lack of pacing and rushing through pivotal arcs while introducing characters (and infodumping/abandoning them in the same arc) just to give one backstory and dip.

Just like with Cameron while the story initially started with her it pivoted to random people (literal whos?) and had no ryheme or reasoning, Charlie later became Cameron in her own show.

They force conflict too early in the story especially when we barely got to know any characters (Zill and his girlfriends cliche argument.)

Then there was lost aspects that could have been explored, why does Cameron have Zoophobia? Why was Cameron sent to Safe Haven? Why is Damien so interested in Zill's girlfriend? So many questions and yet no answers, the story had potential but was sidelined for Hazbin and Helluva and both aren't any different from Zoophobia in terms of their own issues.

The fact I decided to cave in and read this only made me even more mad that we ended up losing something that could have marked Viv's actual career, I guess she wanted to be a screenwriter, but webcomics in general are better because at least you can get more out of it.

Zoophobia is okay, but could have potential and it was shelved and forgotten about thus making it free game for those who wants to rewrite it, I'm only taking Gustav and that's it.

I finished reading ZooPhobia and I have to say, its a two pack of ASS, the fact it was cancelled (I refused to call it Hiatus bc face it, any Hiatus Comic is cancelled, see Mega Man Archie.)

Where do I even FUCKING begin?

The Pacing

My FUCK, its so fucking horrible, the plot bounces from shit to shit, and EVEN when it gets back to Cameron its OFFSCREEN DEVVVVEEEELLLLOPPPMENTTTTT!

Then the asspulls, HOLY FUCK Zill and Kayla had an argument that was ass af and it ended with a Dues Ex Machina and they agreed it was CLICHE! (nice try Viv, that was CORNY AF.)

Also, Damien had a crush or some shit.

The Characters

A step up from Hazbin (Or Stepdown) but still not developed on the part of being Shelved. While the cast is as eccentric as ever, and had some personality the one PERSON we needed info about (who is the main character BTB) has YET to give a reason to WHY she developed Zoophobia (We never will.)

In fact, we got infodumps about Jack, Zill and Damien before we got GTA6 (ahahaha kill me please.) The worst part is, most of the characters lack the screentime, and the most screentime someone got was Addison-The-Dainty-Angel-Dust-Prototype (Seriously!? What is VIV AND HER OBSESSION WITH LITTLE BOYS AND SUB/MALES IN DISTRESS?!)

The worst part is not that its also…

Shipping

Adustvo is ONE of the rushed ships, the HuskerDust of Zoophobia if you will. And the fact this ship even is considered good? No, in fact the last few pages were dedicated to a relationship thats illegal in some sates and the fact the copout of "Oh it's not a date uwu xdxd" pisses me off, Viv really doesn't understand pacing, and STILL DOESN'T.

Final Thoughts

Point the shotgun in my mouth and paint the walls red with my blood, so some housecleaner can clean it, this story lacked ANYTHING to do with this, and the FACT this woman refuses to acknowledge the VERY thing that SHE lifted off of for Hazbin is jarring, probably because of all the Addison Smut Art she created.

This story is dead, gone, and everyone's free to do whatever the fuck morally with the characters, Viv literally cares about her gay demon characters and I am currently in the process of redoing Zoophobia, because godamn it, it reeks of missed potential.

Final Score

3/10 (Because I find Gustav hot af)

Infodump time!

So I really like the TikTok creator DinoMightyMaranda, one time on a live we were joking about how Batman is Batman because he saw a bat in the window. So we were like “What if he saw something else in the window?”

Some of the funny ones were Horseman, Pidginman and Flyman.

But there was one I commented that started A WHOLE AU. Sunrise Batman, what if he saw the sun rise and was like “I’m a hero based on that!” And he turns his whole life around.

Sunrise Batman is basically Batman but get rid of the depression. His suit is themed after the sunrise, his personality is more like “Child Therapist energy”. We made it so basically brucies bubbly personality is closer to real Bruce.

The funniest part is the Batkids, basically all of them are the same as when they first met Bruce, Dick is still Rage Robin until he gets to his 20s,

Damien is Angry, Violent and repeatedly plotting to get back to Talia because no Damien doesn’t want to finger paint with Bruce.

Cas is silent, brooding and hits WAY harder. She does grow out of the brooding in her normal life but she vents her anger with Vigilantism

Jason is closer to super early Red Hood days, Vengeful, sarcastic, petty and immature. But he died realizes he doesn’t want vigilantism and he becomes a boxer.

Dick is still hardcore rage robin even as nightwing.

We had the idea of Tim being a chronic people pleaser and Bruce trying to set up healthy negative emotions for this child who won’t let themself be sad

The villains are all the same theater kids but ANGSTY

D.A.M.N group TV, film and reading headcanons!

Damien is the type of person to finish a book fast, going through a good few books in a month when he has the time. He will look at the last page of a book, or he looks up spoilers for a movie or tv show because he doesn’t like the tension building and he needs to know the outcome. Before his friend group, and his boyfriend, some would say that they didn’t like watching stuff with Damien because he talked about what they were watching too much and it annoyed them. Huxley, however, loves to listen to him talk, and finds it helps give him insight that he didn’t have before. His friends enjoy listening to his rambles too, loving that he’s comfortable enough to “disturb” their watching, and getting amused at the way he gets easily frustrated at errors in films and shows.

Huxley takes forever to read one book. He prefers to be present usually, but when he occasionally finds something that interests him, or his boyfriend reccomends him something to read he can’t help but start it. It doesn’t take a long time because he doesn’t care though, it takes a while because he gets distracted easily, and he has so much to do that he enjoys that he finds himself not having the time, though he will always finish it eventually. For TV, he always loves cuddling up with damien, or hanging out with his friends to watch things. While he enjoys calm me-time, he thinks some things he just prefers doing with others he loves.

Lasko is a huge TV geek and we all know it. He loves watching tv and film and reccomending things to people, especially when he can share it with the ones he cares about so much. He hyperfixates on shows alot, learning the most he can about them, and infodumps to the people that care enough to listen (which he appreciates so much, though it’s a small thing.) He watches with his friends and Dear, but also loves going to the cinema by himself to watch replays of films he loves, or new things he’s interested in. When it comes to reading, he is very much a ‘watch the movie first’ kind of guy, despite some people’s objections to it, as he dislikes his imaginations for characters or settings to be different when he sees them for real. He’ll collect every series and every edition, liking to organise them on a bookshelf he has especially for them.

Gavin loves reading. he didn’t have much of an interest in it before meeting Freelancer, but he has since found a love for learning things. He reads mainly non-fiction, sometimes even the newspaper, doing the daily crossword puzzle. Every so often, Freelancer will come home to him wearing glasses on his nose, one leg over the other as he asks “Whats a seven letter word for..?”. They find it funny and cute, and sometimes sends a photo to the D.A.M.N friends group chat. He loves to watch movies with his partner, taking them out on cute cliché cinema dates from time to time, indulging in all of the proper things, having them pick what they want to watch, buying them popcorn, getting nice seats. And at home, he’ll never pass an opportunity to cuddle up to his beloved Deviant, loving to be as close to them as possible while still exploring the many genres that they show him.

BONUS:

Freelancer finds that their time at the academy has made them lose their love for reading due to the obligation, but sometimes they do like revisiting stories from their childhood, enjoying the nostalgic feel the books give them. They also love writing their own stories, sometimes the limitations of their imagination within already published books making them not want to continue them, so they write their own! They love watching things with their boyfriend, loving to introduce him to iconic movies and the ones that they loved before. Seeing his reactions and getting his opinions is almost better than the actual content itself.

Lauren/Scary Girl is so transfem demigirl to me and I can't explain why

Lauren showed Damien smile HD and/or cupcakes and now he's traumatized

Damien got into science from those grow your own crystal kits

Lauren got Damien a cactus and he named it after the shade of green it was

Raj taught Bowie how to ice skate

Raj has absolutely no storage space on his phone so Bowie's always the one taking photos

Chase has been banned from multiple public places including but not limited to: Disneyland, Disneyworld, every Walmart in Canada, most Targets, about 5 McDonald's, and two malls

Chase has low empathy, while Emma has high empathy, which leads to a lot of disagreements

This mf is like the JayStation of Total Drama of course he makes 3am challenges and dark web videos (and of course has gotten canceled)

His parents most definitely said that "boys will be boys" bullshit

Zee most definitely likes the emperors new groove

Actually, he likes a lot of movies, but he sometimes forgets that he's watching them halfway through

Zee's a skater, and really well liked at the skate park he goes to
