Will there be any Hip Hop 50 celebrations to recognize Florida artists now that Uncle Luke has complained about it?

this man needs a home!

hello! this very friendly little stray orange boy in Houston TX needs somewhere to live that is not my house! I’m willing to drive within the texas triangle, or meet someone halfway. he is free to a good home and has had some basic vetting.

what’s his deal?

he’s about two, about ten pounds, and is freshly neutered, rabies vaxxed, and flea/tick/mite treated with revolution ii. he is a known community cat with no microchip, he will need a more thorough vetting and to be microchipped, but I’m currently unemployed and $200 is the max i can really spend on this man. happy to forward you his vet records, but my name and address are plastered all over them so i will not be posting them.

he’s extremely people-social and friendly (you can sling him around with one hand as he purrs up a storm) and im assuming cat social since I have seen him peaceably hanging out with other strays outside and he wants to be friends with my cat So Bad. he’s just orange.

why is he in my bathroom and why can’t he live there forever?

this cat has been the bane of my cat Mackintosh’s existence since we moved, because he wants to be friends So Bad i had to put up bird spikes on my windows and balcony to stop him from jumping up. he’s also been spraying on my front door. my cat’s solution to any stressor is throwing up. in the process of ruling out various tummy troubles, my vet and i agreed that this little orange man is a major stress trigger and if he came back (i have not seen him in months) i should scoop him up and rehome him. my cat wants him dead and there would never ever be a peaceful introduction or coexistence, unfortunately.

who else has been contacted?

BARC, Friends4Life, Houston Cares, Purrfect Cat, Animal Justice League, Adopt A Cat Texas, and Citizens for Animal Protection. I’m making my way through a list of tiny private Facebook rescues, but every major shelter in Houston is genuinely at capacity. we are going to try again at BARC next Sunday (9/15) during their open intake hours, since we tried last Sunday and they accepted exactly three cars. if the absolute worst comes to worst he will go back outside, since I’m not willing to put my existing cat through the severe anxiety of this man in her home for more than two weeks. however that is only a partial solution to “the sight of this cat makes my cat flip her shit and then throw up her next two meals”. hopefully it will stop him spraying on my front door though.

Y/n had joined Lando, Oscar and Zac on the private jet over to Austin, Texas for the GP.

As they're flying, Lando gets out his camera to start snapping a few pics for his Austin dump on the .jpg account.

"Smile babe!" He says with a grin as the large camera in his hands covers most of his face, his brown curls only just popping up over the top of the camera.

She puts on her sweetest smile for the boy she loves so dearly as he snaps a couple photos. He looks down at his camera, flicking through the photos as his smile remains full of love.

"Wow, you're just the prettiest thing ever Y/n."

He moves to sit right next to her, placing a small kiss to her temple as he sits down.

Lando leans in and kisses her softly on the lips, snapping a quick picture of them as he does so. "This'll make for a cute post," he smiled affectionately at her, "fans will go crazy over these pics, babe."

"You're so cute Lan, you know that?" she spoke gently as she looked at him with heart eyes.

Sat next to each other in one of many booths in the diner, Lando brings out his camera. He sneakily snaps a photo of her when she takes a sip of her Coke, not noticing her boyfriends antics until he speaks up, "You look so cute, Y/n."

She turns her head and sees him looking down at his camera, grinning away to himself like a little kid. Rolling her eyes playfully, she replies, "More pictures for the .jpg dump I take it?"

"Mhm, you got it babe." He was still wearing that big grin when he turned the camera round so she could see the screen, "Look how cute you are, love." - She smiled sweetly in reply.

"Lovebirds." Max Fewtrell scoffed from across the table, Pietra next to him giggling softly as she gave her boyfriend a soft, playful smack.

this FIV+ man needs a home!

why is he in my bathroom and why can’t he stay here?

He is a known community cat that is the bane of my first cat’s existence, and wanted to be friends So Bad I had to put bird spikes up on my windowsills. My two cats are FIV negative, and I can only hold onto him for two more weeks.

what’s his deal?

He's about two, about ten pounds, and is extremely people social to the point it is genuinely difficult taking pics of him, bc he is convinced both hands should be petting him at all times. You can sling him around with one while he purrs up a storm. I’ve seen him peaceably hanging out with other colony cats outside, so I assume he is cat social with a slow introduction.

He is not thrilled about having his ears touched (he is ear mite free) or having his paws touched, but we are working on desensitization. He is also extremely bad at being restrained for a blood draw at the vet.

what care has he received?

Basic exam

Neuter

Rabies vax

Microchip

Dewormer

Revolution II flea/tick/mite treatment

FeLV/FIV test (negative and a faint positive respectively, he can be retested in six months to see if it was a false positive but should be treated as if he is a positive cat in the meantime)

He’s eating (grain free dry kibble since that’s what my girls are on) and drinking and healing well from his neuter.

He's correctly using the litter box with basic clay litter, he's not spraying in my bathroom or pissing up the sides of the litter box, but he is a very enthusiastic advocate of burying waste as thoroughly as possible.

He will need a dental at some point for some gingivitis, and he will need to get the rest of his vaccinations and have a second round of dewormer (I’ll give it to you) in two weeks.

who else has been contacted?

Over forty local rescues and shelters, who are all at capacity or haven’t responded since I tried to contact them a week ago. I've also been posting on local Facebook FIV+ cat groups.
