Hexa Lounge

Holy dang crap this is the most involved build I’ve ever done.  It took me maybe two weeks, although I didn’t work on it every day.  But it is done!  Enough!

It’s not fully furnished because with such a big lot/structure I was wary of lag issues for those of us without The Best Computer.  It’s also not cluttered with decor for that reason plus I figure a swanky resort wouldn’t be very cluttered, heh.

I was inspired by this building I came across, and did the best I could with only being allowed 5 floors to work with.  It really needs one more to do the top more accurately. 😒

House in the Del Sol Hills

I don’t usually build modern residences and I definitely don’t usually build mansions or luxury homes, but I am SO IN LOVE WITH THIS.  Good job, me.

Place on Bailey Estate lot in Del Sol Valley with MOO

Terraced drive with security entrance

Motor court and garage with estate manager’s suite

Lots of black Italian marble

Faux Fleetwood doors for panoramic views of Del Sol Valley

Grand entrance with reflection pools

Terrace: bar, living & dining spaces, sun lounging, infinity pool with jets, spa (non functional but they can swim there), and fireside pool loungers (non-functional, sadly)

Main level: living with brass bar, dining, kitchen, library, private marble staircase

Upper level: master suite with private terrace, glass bath with fireside shower, grand closet, glass floored hallway, guest suite

Lower level: home theater, wellness center with dry sauna & spa (non functional, sad face), home gym, den, bar, and wine room

The Daily Build - June 5th

Today instead of building in the written world i built in the "real" world. I built a bookshelf. Tomorrow I will build the second one. ... Or rather the 5th one, since I already had 3 bookshelves in my bedroom. And a single shelf wrapping around the top of the room.  Next step: wrap a shelf around the top of every room in the house.

Knapphullet: a natural minimalist microresidence

TIL 2 things: Knapphullet means boutonniere in Norwegian, and boutonniere literally translates to English as buttonhole.  So I’m not sure if the architects who designed this amazing little thing built into sheltered rock intended it named after a boutonniere or a buttonhole.

I saw it on Pinterest this morning and had to build it immediately. 🤷‍♀️

Green & Gold Split-Level

I spent several hours trying to figure out the best way to make a true split-level home.  The only way I could think to finagle it is a little messy, but it works with what tools we’re given.

I love this little MCM house!  I’m trying to work on a picture tutorial for the method I used, too, but I have now restarted my laptop twice and had my Sims freeze on launch thrice so... yeah, working on it.
