Why do bad things happen to good people? Job is in MISERY and he's hating his life, but he knows he's done nothing wrong to deserve all that's happened to him. So he just vents about the pain he's in.
But his friends tell him "how dare you? what right do you have to complain? surely you did SOMETHING to deserve this, so shut up. God wouldn't let this happen unless you were a worthless scum bucket, so admit you're a worthless scum bucket and shut up." (I'm paraphrasing obviously.)
But we, the reader, know that Job is blameless, innocent, and is being used as a pawn in some game between God and the devil.
How often are we, in our modern world, like Job's friends? When we interact with someone who is struggling with pain or disability or something have we told them that the problem is with sin, or faith, or that if they just LET Jesus heal them they will be well?
As someone who is disabled, if I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me just in my own church I would have bought the building and turned it into bar called "Shut the fuck up".

Boy oh boy, that's a hard one sometimes. When we hold grudges we hold power over others, or at least we think we do. We allow anger or resentment to justify our actions against others. But what if God held grudges like we do? Salvation would be a very different concept. #dailybiblestudy #hemustbecomegreaterimustbecomeless https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Tje6dBszbJbwr1rTI-uyVMn9ljrujRIb-lNI0/?igshid=zb3zmn1jng8g

#topicoftheday #angels Main text: HEBREWS 1:7‭-‬14 AMP And concerning the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministering servants flames of fire [to do His bidding].” ...Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!] See also... PSALM 91:11‭-‬12 AMP For He will command His angels in regard to you, To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. They will lift you up in their hands, So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone. #dailybiblestudy https://www.instagram.com/p/BtK8xCrA-kV/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=tgqvgddrs84f
