Astarion making use of his skills to help Wyll

Shamelessly using this for an original post because I like the idea too much! Spoilers ahead, be warned!

So, as this post imagined (and thanks for @daedriclys for tagging me):

What if Astarion just went "ahem, I'd actually like to take a look at this legal document, thank you very much!" and went to help Wyll with his contract by Mizora.

I'd love to see how Astarion would take the opportunity to do something good for someone else because personal growth and redemption. Also this fucking devil can eat shit, Astarion's tired of people being forced into slavery.

So he fiercly interrupts and demands that Wyll will have at least a day to review the contract and when Mizora agrees through gritted teeth, the party gets to work: Astarion admits that he might be a little rusty and that he was shit at his job back then, but he's dead set on making this one thing right. (Also we know he knows history, so I feel it's not hard to imagine him being a bit scholarly and enjoying to learn things and figure stuff out - also he is smart!)

So he drags the whole party to where he knows is a Law library in Baldur's Gate and tries to find out everything on these kinds of contracts. He goes over the contract again and again trying to find ways out for Wyll while everyone else has turned into his research assistants (Gale is obviously his lead researcher because that man knows his way around a library). ("No, Karlach, it's 'pacta sunt servanda', spelled p-a-c-t-ugh, you know what, please let someone help you with looking for it!")

They spend the whole 24 hours to work out the best possible solution and when Mizora comes back her jaw is on the floor because not only did her plan not work, Astarion got Wyll some compensation and a severance-package worked out and might even sue. Also Astarion reads out every single term and condition and exactly decodes why it is shitty and wrong and why the wording could have used some work, all in his sassy little tone - while Mizora is fuming, but she has to listen to it, because formalities will have it that way.

And Astarion might play it down afterwards for just liking the challenge but he's actually so happy he could actually use his specific knowledge to help someone - and kinda remedy some of his past wrongdoings.

Larian really missed an opportunity by having Wyll sign an objectively shit contract in act 3 when he’s got Astarion, the magistrate, right there. I wanna see him, glitter gel quill in hand, go over those terms and conditions and absolutely rake Mizora over the coals. wyll’s got a set release date and health insurance by the end of it

Did you notice in the scene where Crowley gets out and starts calling Angel to aziraphale and the same red-headed actor walks by twice within 10 seconds around the same time the dude who's really short comforts aziraphale?

Ohhh, nice catch! I didn’t until now! :D

Those are surely... twins! Right, twins heading the samy way! :D

(but the way, fun fact: the ‘short dude comforting Aziraphale’ is the one who played Strax in Doctor Who :))

Kuroo Tetsurou

Pros

Nobody messes with you. Kuroo makes sure that everyone knows he’s got his eye on you pretty much all the time, and if anyone wants to do something negative directed to you it would be in there best interests to just,,, not.

Doesn’t mind being toted around places. If his s/o wants to hop from one store to the next, or more one area to the next, he doesn’t care.

Very relaxed. During dates, there’s no sense of urgency or some sort of formal position you feel you have to keep up. Everything’s just very chill.

Compliments you a lot, but does so in a way that it’s not really noticeable. A little remark here, a comment there, but it makes you feel loved nonetheless.

Lets you play with his hair. He doesn’t like people touching his hair, but if you wanna run your fingers through it or something he’s cool with that.

Super supportive of whatever hobbies you have. As long as you’re happy and safe, he’s happy.

Does your laundry. Like, that’s kind of weird, but it’s one less chore for you to do. And he doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

Cons

Kind of a jerk sometimes. Not really to you, but he tends to sort of dismiss people a lot and that’s not very cool.

If he’s already made himself comfortable on the couch or bed, he won’t move and will ask you to get everything for him: Food, some water, the remote, etc.

Sometimes, in the heat of an argument, he’ll say things without thinking and doesn’t know how to apologize later.

Because he has such a relaxed approach to dates, sometimes he’ll opt to staying home even if you wanted to go out somewhere. He’ll tell you that there’s no bother to do that when you two can enjoy yourselves at home. It gets annoying.

He’s that asshole that texts you during school or work hours.

Kuroo also tends to be on his phone during the first ten minutes of the movie.

Leaves the toilet seat up.

Haiba Lev

Pros

You will never need a ladder or a step stool in your life again.

Piggyback rides.

He’s very good at making you smile when you feel down. It’s a gift.

Surprisingly, a pretty OK cook. He really likes cooking for you.

Never lets you feel left out. He invites you to everything he can: Family activities, volleyball matches, festivals, etc.

Holds the door open for you, pulls out your chair at dinners; The perfect gentleman.

Open minded and not only willing to try new things, but excited to!! He loves the idea of new experiences, and throws himself in head-first any chance he gets.

Responds to your texts/phone calls/emails within five minutes. No matter what.

Will offer to give you everything he has. For example: You’re hungry? Have his lunch. You’re cold? Have his jacket. You want a camera? Take his.

He is extremely proud of you and will brag about you at any opportunity.

Cons

Sometimes it’s like he’s too scatter-brained. He’s not very good at remembering important dates or events, and can be pretty oblivious to things.

Unless it’s like super obvious, he doesn’t really notice it if someone is being rude or mean to you, and won’t stand up for you when that happens.

Tends to accidentally flirt with other people. He means nothing of it and isn’t even looking for anything, he’s just overly friendly sometimes.

Talks about his team/friends/siblings too much.

Not the cleanest guy around. He leaves his stuff everywhere and dislikes doing dishes.

Uses your toothbrush without thinking ??????

On that note, he uses a lot of your products without thinking: Your shampoo, body wash, lotion, etc.

He’s too willing sometimes, occasionally pressuring you into trying new things without considering your feelings.

Toramatsu has a pretty big following from my understanding. One of the more favorite NPCs.

hello! and thank you! i’ve never done reader inserts before, but i’ll try my best! 

He’s been hovering around you the whole lunch hour, but unfortunately, he’s also like six feet tall, so it’s a little difficult to eat your lunch in peace when there’s a perpetual shadow looming over your desk. You try your best anyway.

“I don’t know what I did but I’m sorry!” Lev says, clapping his hands together. Your friends have chopsticks halfway to their mouth, watching this giant classmate of yours make a spectacle out of himself, as always. “Please don’t ignore me!”

Sighing, you put down your own chopsticks. “You don’t know what you did,” you say slowly.

Wide green eyes peek down at you. “I don’t,” he says shamelessly like the idiot he is. But he’s an earnest idiot, so you wholly believe him when he says that. 

You sigh again. Something about this lanky dork manages to get under your skin in all the right ways, and yet you find your eyes drawn to him anyway. 

“Lev. You wrote me a love letter, right?”

He nods enthusiastically. “Yeah! I had to ask Yaku-san for help with the kanji and everything!”

“I appreciate your effort, but you could have at least put it in the right shoe cubby. You put it in Yamada-kun’s cubby.”

Lev gasps, spinning around to locate their other classmate, who immediately flinches at the weight of somebody’s gaze on his back. “I did? I’m sorry, Yamada! Darn it, now I have to rewrite the letter!”

“Don’t bother,” you tell him, and he seems to shrink five centimetres before you pull out the letter from your desk. “I’ve received it. And it’s written well, Lev-kun.”

He blinks at you. Then, slowly, like a sunrise, a grin blooms across his face again. “I’ll be waiting for your reply after school!”

You shake your head as you watch him bound away. “Idiot,” you mumble into your bento. “You have volleyball practice after school.”
