Grundy hummed a rumble, blinking slowly as he turned slightly towards his… what were they… Not an enemy, not a threat… they were… friend! Yes, they were the friend that didn’t mind that whenever he came back he came back different. 

He uncurled his arms slightly, proudly showing his friend what he’d found splashing in the water growling angrily. His friend blinked, mouth opening and closing for a few moments as he waited patiently, careful not to drop the squirming duo. 

“Babies,” he proudly declared as they let out squeaky roars.

as much as I love 141 medieval au's here the reader is a noble lady saved from her marriage or some lone townswomans rescued by the group of knights (looking @ my own nun!reader in this) I do love the notion of a lady knight.

A badass woman with no name or backstory that's taken up the life of a sellsword- who scoffs at the notion of "honor" when spilling blood on your blade- death is death. Honor means nothing for God or king.

Her hair is cut close to her scalp, because it's all too easy for somebody to grab a handful of those soft locks and be at the perfect position to slit her throat in a fight. Covered in scars and carried by aching bones that broke years ago but never quite healed properly.

Maybe Price is a king who sees this helmeted figure fighting at a tourney for his name day and asks for their name- their noble house only to learn you have none. Simply a desire for the money awarded to the winner.

Maybe Gaz is beloved prince who often sneaks out from his guards nose to mingle with the common folk- who enjoys sitting in a tavern with others and singing songs while drinking ale with a pretty little thing on his lap until he's walking back to the palace and finds a blade at his neck in a dark alley as you warn him that noblebloods should never walk unaccompanied- it makes the job far too easy.

Maybe a beautiful noble lady is sent to stay under the eye of a royal family in discussion for marriage- when the house offers to gift her one for their personal guards of the 141, she insists she more than happy with her own- you. The silent armor-clad figure standing close to her side. (yes I miss domentzia. she's my wife and always will be).

I would love for Jinx to have a moment with Warwick in season 2 where, after learning that he was once Vander, she tells him, "I can still love you like I used to, even though you're . . . different. I changed, too."

I mean, it would probably be ruined if he smelled blood on her any time after that, but if anyone could accept Vander becoming Warwick, it would be Jinx.

If you asked Dani about the situation, she would have said it seemed like adventures. Bags packed for her and Ava’s trip with Maul. To distant stars! Planets and to help! Her buir did not come with them. She made sure to write all about the adventures they took. Maybe next time buir would come along!

If you asked Ava, the young Chiss knew his focus was to ensure that Dani was happy. Making sure she was content and pleased that they were with Maul this time. “It will be so fun! We will learn so much from my Daddy!” He promised to make sure that Dani would be happy…so much for a young child to shoulder.

If one asked Maul, this was a penance. Trudging back to Chopper Base and setting off the alarms. His starlight did not glance his way. It was a penance for all the hurt he brought. “Their bags are packed.” A wave of the hand. He noted they did not wear their wedding band. Maul nodded. It was punishment for leaving again and again. Darling Danica came bounding in, Maul braved a small smile, “ My little star!” He embraced her. At least he was granted this…this chance to make up for lost time. Young Ava waved. “Hello dear boy” he greeted him. He tried to say goodbye to his Starlight but they had already turned away.

If you asked the once Archivist they would sigh deeply. The wedding band felt heavy in their pocket. They tried so hard to hope. Tried for so long to wait patiently… “Not right now or for some time.” They needed time.
