he's about to freak out but she shushes him agresssively because Keefe needs sleep and looks at him worriedly to make sure he's still asleep

Grady looks at both of them and his eyes soften before he walks up and gives Sophie a kiss on the forehead and Keefe a gentle shoulder squeeze and tells Sophie she should get some sleep too

so interesting that in chapters 12 + 13 of unraveled keefe and cassius don’t just respond to what each other are saying but speak directly to the others emotions. through the whole conversation keefe takes 90% of his cues from cassius’s unspoken feelings and cassius does the same. we get to see what keefes conversational style looks like with the right partner; keefe picks up and addresses the other persons emotions because to him (and other empaths) conversations happen on two levels: the spoken and unspoken. it’s the kind of conversation only two empaths could have and i wish we could see more of that unique kind of communicating

#like i fully see the perspective that keefe is an asshole and brings up people’s feelings in a mean way #but also their conversation shows that growing up with another empath kinda stunted keefes conversational skills #because any conversation with his dad is two conversations at the same time #what they are verbally saying to each other #and reading and responding to the others emotions #and when both parties can talk like that #bringing up emotions seems only natural #kotlc #keefe sencen #unraveled spoilers

maybe it’s just me but I don’t think Keefe had anything to apologize for when he asked Sophie to stay away in stellarlune. that’s the most logical, safest, comfortable choice for all involved. he had new abilities he couldn’t control, Sophie exacerbated that, so no more sophie temporarily. not his fault sophie got butthurt and felt like he didn’t want to be her friend anymore, which is so obviously an irrational feeling on her part. Keefe take your apology back rn

I was literally just talking to my friend a few days about about an invader zim wicked AU but we were kinda being funny about it and were like "instead of zim being elphaba, dib is elphaba and instead of green skin he's hated for his big head"

I guess if you think about it, IZ already has Dib and Zim in similar roles to Elphaba and the Wizard. Like, Zim is a charlatan pretender who constantly lies and plays into everyone's existing prejudice against Dib for his paranormal obsession to discredit him or frame him for shit. In the last episode he even succeeds in building a cult following by pretending to be Santa and then turns the entire earth against Dib by pinning the blame on him for ruining Xmas.

Keef is Glinda because he wants to be friends with Dib and Zim at the same time and wants them to be friends with each other and can't comprehend Dib's moral objections.

Sophie looks into Cassius' memories and she sees a scene where Keefe is jumping up and down next to him and he asks if Cassius can pick him up and carry him

Cassius looks at Keefe (who's like 4) and begrudgingly picks him up and lays his head on his shoulder

and in the memory you can hear Keefe sigh in contentment and Cassius can feel Keefe's emotions and he's ecstatic like this kid is so happy that his dad is giving him attention

and Sophie just starts crying while Cassius rolls his eyes
