smth smth, dany doesn't swear much in her canon, except for like the usual expectations of swearing for someone who was raised as a princess ?? when she falls ungracefully, she thinks of it in terms of 'falling on her arse'. she'll think about how something 'smells like shit', but she typically won't say that. she'll openly say "seven hells" and "damn you" ??? but she doesn't say "fuck" really?? okay, except for in the bedroom, but she swears way more in the bedroom. anyways, all this to say, dany swears more in aus, especially aus where swearing is typically more openly used.

HOUSE OF THE DRAGON S2E8
i finally managed to rewatch the episode and here is again my personal opinion about it.
essos: again they want the stepstones, those damned rocks. the stepstones are like the harrenhal of the sea: everybody wants it, but nobody manages to keep it for a long time without dying painfully.
sharako lohar is really cool. kinda looks like daario naharis (the first one).
aemond burning sharp point because he was angry about rhaenyra's new dragonriders. sir, you have too many problems.
my poor king aegon. he asking himself what was the point of all of this now that rhaenyra managed to have more dragons to her side. and larys wanting to help him is kinda heartwarming but also creepy as fuck at the same time.
rhaena starving and dehydrating herself for a dragon instead of taking care of the future of house targaryen. as i said previously, this obsession reminds me of little aemond (before he became a completely menace to society).
jace beefing with ulf. he is angry with the dragonseeds and he wants to prove them that they are not like every trueborn targaryens. well, ulf jests too much about it in my opinion. seeing hugh and ulf going out of the room together, foreshadowing iykyk.
rhaenyra and corlys. he sees what she cannot, just like rhaenys, he's a good hand of the queen. when they mentioned dreamfyre, my heart melts because she's one of my favourite dragons. finally, corlys saying that his ship's name is "the queen who never was" and then we see the boleyn which pictures rhaenys holding the crown...such an heartbreaking moment.
daemon and ser alfred. daemon has already decided to let the crown go and follow rhaenyra as we understand it from his last vision when he didn't take the crown from his brother. i adored how he looks at ser alfred since we all know how he hates traitors and the details of ser alfred hearing "traitor" whispered was perfect. let us all appreciate again ser simon "no treason on my watch" strong.
alicent and helaena. it's heartbreaking. she really loves her daughter and now that alicent does not have power anymore, she fears for her life. i loved the scenes we had between alicent and helaena a lot.
AEMOND HOW FUCKING DARE YOU. your sister is an innocent and plus she is still the queen, as your mother kindly reminded you. i have to say, dear alicent, that you should have behaved like this with him before he became a fucking problem to everyone. i loved that when he looks again at helaena, alicent raises her voice to him "NOT LIKE THIS"
ser criston cole, i despise alicent for saving your life that night. "she is my beacon", it reminds of the hightower's sigil, i adore this detail. i fucking love gwayne. "then resist it", ser gwayne slaytower, the man you are. last but not least, dear ser crispy you should have imagined that a war with dragons would have been a thousand times worse than the wars you saw in your life.
jacaerys targaryen, the pout of the realm. btw, baela and jace the supreme couple of westeros.
rhaenyra at dinner with the dragonseeds. addam answering to ulf that there will be a time to show who of them is really a coward (iykyk). addam of hull, the man you are. i adored the fact that rhaenyra chooses him to go with her to harrenhal.
daemon's vision. i adored it. bloodraven, the white walkers, the death of dragons and daemon's death which also represent the loss of power of house targaryen and then the red comet and daenerys, the rebirth of house targaryen. AND HELAENA.
i hope that in season 3 we'll have a further explanation of helaena's powers and what she can do, because in that scene it's clear that she entered the vision somehow. infact, we also see her kinda smiling after it. (again, foreshadowing: she's standing on a balcony, iykyk).
helaena and aemond. he still tries to convince her to go to war with dreamfyre. she answering back at him that she knows everything and that she saw everything, she does not speak in riddles anymore, she's clear as fuck, and those words hurt aemond like a knife. "aegon will be king again. he's yet to see victory [...] and you'll be dead". and when he threatens her, she says that it wouldn't change anything. he is scared now, he knows how it will end and everything he has done for glory will only bring him into the void.
rhaenyra and daemon at harrenhal. i'm glad to hear them speak in high valyrian to each other once again, kinda missed it. daemon's speech was just amazing and pure perfection.
alyn is angry as fuck and he has all the rights to be it. when he said to corlys that he remembers them now only after the death of his children was like a slap in the face for corlys. the best part was alyn saying that if he survives this war, he will continue to live his life as it was before.
mysaria and rhaenyra. "and who pays the price?" and mysaria looking at the dragons.
alicent and rhaenyra. probably my favourite scene. alicent wearing a light blue dress as she used to do when she and rhaenyra were close friends. we can see that now they inverted their roles: alicent who tries to get close to rhaenyra while rhaenyra is cold towards her, as it was after alicent wore the green dress the first time. another detail that i appreciated is when alicent says "i lost my way", another reminder to her house since their motto is "we light the way", now she is lost and alone, she feels like a nobody, she cannot count on her house and family anymore. when rhaenyra says "still, you defend him" OF COURSE SHE IS, despite everything aegon is her son, her first son. THIS IS NOT BOOK ALICENT, as i said previously, i understand this development but i would have liked to see a bit more of book alicent. rhaenyra: "a son for son", what about what helaena have endured? did we forget about jaehaerys?. rhaenyra: "history will paint you a villan. cold queen [...]", alicent: "let them think what they must. i have at last myself [...]", i loved this. they still love and care for each other somehow, when alicent asked rhaenyra to go with her it reminded me of young rhaenyra telling young alicent that she wanted to fly with her on dragonback, see the great wonders across the narrow sea and eat only cake.
seeing everybody getting ready for what they must do kinda makes me feel anxious for season 3 even if i know what happens.
TESSARION. GLAD TO SEE YOU, MY DEAR.
i am not ready for the battle of the gullet and for tumbleton. but at the same time i cannot wait to see the battle above the gods' eye.
finally rhaena found sheepstealer.
otto in a cage, this is larys' hand FOR SURE.
aegon fleeing from KL. cannot wait to see him in season 3. he's yet to see victory.
THE FINAL SOUNDTRACK ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING.
the end: alicent is free. rhaenyra holds all the weight of history on her shoulders.
now we have to wait two years for the most brutal part of the story.
if you want to share your thoughts or talk about it, send a raven! 💌

Dany fan here: I think other Dany fans think Jonsas are over the top with Dany hate because of pol!Jon. I follow many Jonsas because I’m perfectly fine with Jonsa. It’s not for me but I see the vision. That said I’m a bit of an unusual Dany fan in the sense that I’m a big fan of the Meereenese Knot essays and think the interpretation of Dany presented there is pretty spot on. I personally think Dany has a good heart but that circumstance and experience and terrible coping mechanisms have led her to act in villainous ways and whether or not a character is a villain is determined by their actions regardless of whatever goodness is in their heart. But anyway I do not like the pol!Jon theory. I think it’s out of character for Jon and needlessly cruel to Dany. I think it’s possible that he ultimately kills her and that could be fine and I don’t reject that theory, but I think the idea of Jon deceiving and sexually abusing Dany and then killing her for the sake of Sansa is what Dany fans think of when they think of over the top hate because they assume every Jonsa shipper also believes in pol!Jon.
I do understand why people thought Jon was deceiving Dany in the show though because their relationship was just so poorly executed and Kit and Emilia had no chemistry on screen. Imagine fucking up your show’s romance so badly that people think the script confirming that the love was mutual must have been tampered with.
Hi there!
(I think Dany is a compelling tragic villain, and it's lovely seeing someone loving her for it!)
I do think that pol!Jon (under duress, esentially) is a not unreasonable theory that grew out of the way the show presented their relationship. If there was sexual abuse I think it's fair to say it was in the hands of the more powerful party, though.
That said, I don't see it happening that way in the books at all and I think all characters will be better off for it. I agree it wouldn't feel right.
Certainly not in a punitive "you thought he would love you but he really loves Sansa, now die!!!" way. That cheapens jonsa as much as it cheapens the complexity of the conflict between Dany and Jon.
It's just a deeply uninteresting way to explore their existing conflict or their respective strengths. Not to be a hater but it's not exactly riveting literature watching Dany be manipulated by Daario and it's unlikely to be more so in a repeat performance with Jon who isn't even her type. Same as watching Jon go through a repeat of the abusive Ygritte plotline would be less than compelling.
We'll have instances of romantic manipulation. Littlefinger is practically begging Sansa to use his own obsession against him, and Arya gives us a preview when she lures Raff to his death wearing "Mercy's" face. That's been set up since the first book, and it works as a satisfying response to the way everyone has been telling Sansa how weak and simple she is. It's very personal, very steeped in their respective histories, very poetic.
But for Jon and Dany I think we can expect something more universal and even-handed than that. They are both at varying points manipulative and earnest, highly clever or unexpectly outmaneuvered. And neither will be in this conflict all alone and without advice. Not to mention, we have both of their POVs and watching one just miss all the clues of the other manipulating them would be flat. This only ever works with one POV withheld. The show tried that with Jon Snow live on the screen, to disastrous results. No way is that GRRM's plan.
I'd rather watch two clever adversaries play a big game of chess. And given GRRM's love for that game, I am certain it's also what he would prefer to write.

The bemoaning of s@nsan's loss of popularity by shippers fascinates me because iv'e seen a lot of ancient fans stance on it was that sansa's flaw is liking pretty things/people so her lesson should be to marry the hound for humility yet not ONE of them look inside the text that all the men that attack/abuse/molest sansa all find her pretty or are infatuated with pretty women worst abuse them, the double standard of fans against sansa fascinates me as they ignore one of sansa's character traits is to treat people with courtesy, they also ignore every character has been attracted to pretty people even j0n yet not one person says that hes vain for liking val based on her attractiveness, the only person iv'e seen thats been as criticized is d@ny simply for her infatuation in daario and dismissal of quentyn and while we as readers didnt like that she did that she's also a teenager(and doesnt know quentyn) again there's huge double standard for girls and boys in this fandom yet no one saw it
im getting off track but basically s@nsan's loss of popularity shouldn't be such a surprise when there's a whole new generation of readers that might not have the same readings or bias from previous years especially when a lot of it was just misogynistic undertones
Has san/san lost popularity? It’s still heralded as one of the most iconic ships to come out of the game of thrones and late 2000s/ early 2010s in general, isn’t it? And the san/san posts I see have a good number of notes, always around and upwards of 400, which is a hefty number to me. But yes, it has definitely left major pop-culture discourse centres.
I have heard a lot about this “flaw” you are talking about and I consider myself extremely lucky that i didn’t join the fandom earlier. I absolutely cannot imagine being in the fandom from the 90s to 2018 as a Sansa stan, when hating her was the norm. I was just about to bring up this point you mentioned, that all men, who are full grown adults btw, lust after Sansa based on her looks. They consider her pretty and want them all for herself, and all the while she’s a 12 year old.
“Why should I be guilty? My wife wants no part of me, and most especially not the part that seems to want her.”
Tyrion VII, ASOS
“Give your Florian a little kiss now. A kiss for luck.” He swayed toward her. Sansa dodged the wet groping lips, kissed him lightly on an unshaven cheek, and bid him good night. It took all her strength not to weep.”
Sansa IV, ACOK
And these are just two people, with one out of many such instances each, among a hoard of men who think of her like that. A very simple answer to all of this is misogyny, in and out of the universe. Of course the entire san/san fandom has no hive mind, they were apparently the first ones to come up with the qitn Sansa theory while also coming up with the cottage theory, but shipping a 12 year old with a grown man who almost raped her at knifepoint is an open letter invitation for haters to find a settling point for making sansa suffer without actually getting called out for it. It becomes such a perfect cover for actively hating a 12 year old because even the haters realise how insane that actually is.
I think the “flaw rectification” argument was birthed to fuse the thought that yes, sansa did bad things, here’s how we can still enjoy her character while the undercurrent of unfounded hatred runs through the ship while we conveniently never acknowledge it. Obviously new readers came along who had never interacted with the fandom and realised “hey, what the fuck?” and had a different opinion of “that’s a defenceless 12 year old girl who actually did nothing wrong”. I’m sure there were voices who expressed such opinions before but were silenced. Internet is such a friendly place after all.
The “courtesy” thing is so true. She literally has no option but to respond the way she does. One wrong word and she might get beaten or killed. That girl is terrified and only trying to survive. Considering Sansa’s action as anything but survival mechanism is so superficial. This is so analogous to how women today are polite to men while because they’re scared that the men might hurt them/kill them. It’s the same shit, times ten, with Sansa. This also goes for when San/dor catches her during the battle of black water and demands a “song” from her (which is a thinly veiled euphemism for rape), and Sansa sings him a hymn of Mother’s mercy as a way to protect herself.
As for the Dany thing, I just want to say, what exactly is wrong about a teenage girl having a crush? Why is she termed as “lovesick” and “stupid” and “annoying” anytime she shows any interest in a guy? And it’s always the dudebros screaming this the loudest. Obviously, Daario is not a good choice and Dany herself acknowledges that.
“Daario might whisper words of love when the two of them were as one, but she knew it was the dragon queen he loved. If I gave up my crown, he would not want me.”
Daenerys VII, ADWD
I mean, the other shoe will definitely drop with this guy but this the first time we see Dany have a consensual relationship, which I feel is important to her arc - the relationship and the man she has the relationship with. Moreover, she has bigger fish to fry like her governance/dragons/moving towards westeros etc.
And berating her over Quentyn? Wasn’t she supposed to get married the next day to Hizdar? Didn’t she herself say that she’s not sure if Quentyn is the real deal or not? Moreover, she remembers Quaith’s prophecy about the “sun’s son” and double backs (Dany and prophecies are a whole another thing which we can talk about later) and solidifies her decision to go forward with her wedding with Hizdahr.
“Enough,” Daenerys said. “Prince Quentyn has crossed half the world to offer me his gift, I will not have him treated with discourtesy.” She turned to the Dornishmen. “Would that you had come a year ago. I am pledged to wed the noble Hizdahr zo Loraq.”
“The sun’s son. A shiver went through her. “Shadows and whispers.” What else had Quaithe said? The pale mare and the sun’s son…”
Daenerys VII, ADWD
Although, the Martells will not understand that Dany didn’t order Quentyn’s death and might antagonise her so that’s a chekov’s gun waiting to go off. Clearly, Quentyn was clearly the first leg of a bigger arc that we’ll likely see in TWOW (consider Quaith’s whole prophecy) and a part of a bigger theme Dany has to fulfill. Her decision to make Quentyn wait was not based on whether she found him ugly or not, it was based on being right in the middle of a political crisis with another volatile variable being added that has the potential to uproot a lot of what she has struggled to maintain (which ultimately does happen). Dany does have a knack of picking the worst option and that does not bode well for her governance/politics but that is not the point here. The point here is how dare a 16 year old doesn’t find a guy attractive and another guy too attractive (which is a part of a bigger theme btw) and sometimes, it’s a thin line between misogyny and valid criticism. Let’s stop flattening female characters into digestible one-dimensional beings, especially when it comes to teenagers. The fact that they have more than one motivation to act a certain way, makes them so much more enjoyable and interesting and honestly, human, like you and me.
Let’s also stop pigeonholing (12 year old) female characters into high-school mean girl clique leader trope who is so shallow and superficial that she needs to be assaulted by an “ugly” middle aged man to come to her senses. Also, that is called projection. The character that we are talking about isn’t like that at all. But whatever 🙄
Sorry I got carried away and got angry, things like these piss me off so bad. Never change, fandom, never change.

the only dany popular ship is j0nerys, even tho she’s the most popular character of the series… i’m only taking in consideration the ao3 fics, so i could be wrong
My other anon pointed out that Sansa interacts with so many important characters, it’s easy to imagine AUs in which she has a relationship with any of a dozen different characters. Dany doesn't have that, and the men she believes she loves in canon (Drogo, Daario) or the one who wants her, Jorah, are simply not good options for obvious reasons.
I'd imagine the reason Jon is the favorite, in addition to him just, being a good guy which is hard to find in ASOIAF, is that unlike Sansa who has a personality and interests you can kinda situate anywhere, it’s hard to divorce Dany from the conflicts and destruction of power and war, the violence that marks her story from the beginning. Conquest, rape, slavery…it isn't quite as easy to envision Dany in scenarios we routinely use for Sansa (this is speaking of canon verse, obviously, modern AUs are different), so pairing her with Jon is particularly helpful. It allows something of her normal vibe but this time glamorized-- the two can fall in love while saving the world. It allows a writer to romanticize dragons and warring, gives it, gives Dany, a good purpose, and explains why they're thrown together. Right off the bat, the pairing sets you up for success in a way that others scenarios don't, or might even stump you. And of course, people are very into the idea of destiny and because of the general fandom’s perception of things, that’s the accepted view of the ship. There is (or was, it’s prolly much less now) a lot of momentum behind the idea of them meeting and what it does for the story.
Your ask reminded me that someone did the stats for ASOIAF ships on AO3 a while ago, and the reaction to the results was pretty amusing (link).

what do you think of the theory that Daario and Euron are the same person?
Tumblr media
This is the first time I'm hearing this theory, and.... wow!
I am just imagining how Daario/Euron would switch between the personas! Like he would really have to go through magical girl transformation each time.
For Euron -> Daario, he would have to first grow his hair out to his shoulders and then bleach his hair (as it is black), then dye it blue/purple. Also then curl it. Then he'd have to grow out his neat beard into three-prongs and dye them too. He'd also have to grow out his moustache and bleach it really well and then colour it golden! Then he'd have to take the time out to paint his nails. Then he'd need to pluck his tooth out and replace it with a golden tooth. He'd need to apply foundation and then lipstick to change his lip colour from blue to normal. Also, he needs to fake Tyroshi accent convincly enough to fool Dany who grew up in Tyrosh! Also, Euron would need contact lenses to change the colour of his eyes!
And when he needs to transform back from Daario -> Euron, he'd need to do all this in reverse!!! Like I'm just imagining Euron frustratedly crying as he goes through his 12-step makeover starting with straightening his hair:
Tumblr media
He'd also need one of those nifty Instant Teleportation Devices that he had in the show-verse, to instantly transport him from Essos to Iron Islands.
And even if we accept the premise, why would Euron need all this subterfuge? The main reasons why Dany doesn't marry Daario, despite being in love with him, are because (1) a marriage provides no political or strategic advantage to her; (2) he is too violent and doesn't seem to understand how to deal with the court and (3) because he is not of noble blood.
"Marry me, and we can have all the nights forever." If I could, I would. [...] "We cannot wed, my love. You know why."
Sending him to the Lamb Men had been wise. She was a queen, and Daario Naharis was not the stuff of kings.
So, the easiest thing for Euron to do, if he had been Daario, would be to reveal his identity as it would instantly remove at least 2 of the obstacles. He can provide an army/navy, and a fleet of ships for Dany's future conquest of westeros. He is also a lord of Westeros and a "good suitor" for Dany. Instead of just "revealing his identity", why would he use his Teleportation Device to go to Iron Islands and then send his brother Victarion to cross the sea and go to Dany with a proposal? Why would he do something so convoluted, taking so much effort, for no real benefit?!
While I had a good laugh at the mental image of Euron painstakingly curling his hair, painting his nails and applying lipstick, I don't think this is any worthwhile theory, anon.

Operation Stumpy Re-Read
ADWD: The Lost Lord (Jon Connington I) [Chapter 24]
Warning, more fAegon vs. Aegon VI analysis to come.
Had they lost Haldon as they had Tyrion Lannister? Could the Volantenes have taken him? I should have sent Duckfield with him. Haldon alone could not be trusted; he had proved that in Selhorys when he let the dwarf escape.
x
I should have gone myself. After Selhorys, he had found it difficult to put the same trust in Haldon as previously. He let the dwarf beguile him with that glib tongue of his. Let him wander off into a whorehouse alone while he lingered like a mooncalf in the square.
Imagine tanking your own credibility so Tyrion can get laid.
+.+.+
Daenerys Targaryen remained a world away, and Tyrion Lannister … well, he could be most anywhere. If the gods were good, Lannister's severed head was halfway back to King's Landing by now, but more like the dwarf was hale and whole and somewhere close, stinking drunk and plotting some new infamy.
I love Jon Connington?
+.+.+
"Where in the seven hells is Haldon?" Griff complained to Lady Lemore. "How long should it take to buy three horses?"
He starts calling himself Jon Connington after the Golden Company decide to take Westeros.
What's funny about that is if you hop on over to asearchoficeandfire, you'll see he almost exclusively refers to himself as Jon Connington (full name) in his own internal monologue. Who does that? Lol.
+.+.+
Griff had no patience for this quibbling. He was sick of hiding, sick of waiting, sick of caution. I do not have time enough for caution.
Almost like he's terminal or something.
+.+.+
"If Harry Strickland means him ill, hiding him on the Shy Maid will not protect him. Strickland has ten thousand swords at his command. We have Duck. Aegon is all that could be wanted in a prince. They need to see that, Strickland and the rest. These are his own men."
"His because they're bought and paid for. Ten thousand armed strangers, plus hangers-on and camp followers. All it takes is one to bring us all to ruin. If Hugor's head was worth a lord's honors, how much will Cersei Lannister pay for the rightful heir to the Iron Throne? You do not know these men, my lord. It has been a dozen years since you last rode with the Golden Company, and your old friend is dead."
I could be wrong, but if Lemore was a descendent of House Blackfyre, I'm not sure she'd be this concerned over the Golden Company's loyalty.
+.+.+
Whatever their sires or their grandsires might have been back in Westeros before their exile, the men of the Golden Company were sellswords now, and no sellsword could be trusted.
After the last chapter, I desperately want this to be a nod to Daario.
+.+.+
Last night he'd dreamt of Stoney Sept again. Alone, with sword in hand, he ran from house to house, smashing down doors, racing up stairs, leaping from roof to roof, as his ears rang to the sound of distant bells. Deep bronze booms and silver chiming pounded through his skull, a maddening cacophony of noise that grew ever louder until it seemed as if his head would explode.
Seventeen years had come and gone since the Battle of the Bells, yet the sound of bells ringing still tied a knot in his guts.
Imagine how much therapy the survivors of King's Landing will need.
+.+.+
Others might claim that the realm was lost when Prince Rhaegar fell to Robert's warhammer on the Trident, but the Battle of the Trident would never have been fought if the griffin had only slain the stag there in Stoney Sept.
Why is that?
Are Jon Arryn, Ned Stark, Hoster Tully, and Stannis Baratheon going home after Robert dies? The rebellion was not about crowning Robert.
+.+.+
The bells tolled for all of us that day. For Aerys and his queen, for Elia of Dorne and her little daughter, for every true man and honest woman in the Seven Kingdoms. And for my silver prince.
I hate Jon Connington.
+.+.+
"Illyrio could not have been expected to know that the girl would choose to remain at Slaver's Bay."
"No more than he knew that the Beggar King would die young, or that Khal Drogo would follow him into the grave. Very little of what the fat man has anticipated has come to pass." Griff slapped the hilt of his longsword with a gloved hand. "I have danced to the fat man's pipes for years, Lemore. What has it availed us? The prince is a man grown. His time is—"
Lots of frustration directed at Illyrio in this chapter. Not sure where it's going.
No more than he knew that the Beggar King would die young, or that Khal Drogo would follow him into the grave.
I don't understand. We'll talk about it later.
+.+.+
He had grown fond of Lemore, but that did not mean he required her approval. Her task had been to instruct the prince in the doctrines of the Faith, and she had done that. No amount of prayer would put him on the Iron Throne, however. That was Griff's task. He had failed Prince Rhaegar once. He would not fail his son, not whilst life remained in his body.
When he says stuff like that, I lean towards Cersei holding King's Landing.
+.+.+
The brothel keeper had insisted that the little man had been carried off at swordpoint, but Griff was still not sure he believed that. The Imp was clever enough to have conspired in his own escape. This drunken captor that the whores spoke of could have been some henchman in his hire. I share the blame. After the dwarf put himself between Aegon and the stone man, I let down my guard. I should have slit his throat the first time I laid eyes on him.
I love Jon Connington?
Jon Connington wishing Tyrion was dead (twice!) is how you know Tyrion Lannister and his queen are going to become a big problem for Jon Connington.
+.+.+
The prince wore sword and dagger, black boots polished to a high sheen, a black cloak lined with blood-red silk. With his hair washed and cut and freshly dyed a deep, dark blue, his eyes looked blue as well. At his throat he wore three huge square-cut rubies on a chain of black iron, a gift from Magister Illyrio. Red and black. Dragon colors. That was good.
That's considered fAegon evidence.
He's wearing a ruby around his throat like glamorized Melisandre. Of course it's also a very Targaryen thing to do.
+.+.+
Griff would be glad to go back to his own true colors too, though his once red hair had gone to grey.
Unreliable narrator. . . George R. R. Martin?
Though his hair was as blue as his son's, he had red roots and redder eyebrows. - Tyrion III, ADWD
+.+.+
"I like the sound of that. My army." A smile flashed across his face, then vanished. "Are they, though? They're sellswords. Yollo warned me to trust no one."
[...]
"Not every man is what he seems, and a prince especially has good cause to be wary … but go too far down that road, and the mistrust can poison you, make you sour and fearful." King Aerys was one such. By the end, even Rhaegar saw that plain enough.
Tumblr media
+.+.+
They found the Golden Company beside the river as the sun was lowering in the west. It was a camp that even Arthur Dayne might have approved of—compact, orderly, defensible. A deep ditch had been dug around it, with sharpened stakes inside. The tents stood in rows, with broad avenues between them. The latrines had been placed beside the river, so the current would wash away the wastes. The horse lines were to the north, and beyond them, two dozen elephants grazed beside the water, pulling up reeds with their trunks. Griff glanced at the great grey beasts with approval. There is not a warhorse in all of Westeros that will stand against them.
You might be forgetting a special type of horse.
+.+.+
Tall battle standards of cloth-of-gold flapped atop lofty poles along the perimeters of the camp.
Similar language:
A cloth dragon swayed on poles amidst a cheering crowd. - Daenerys IV, ACOK
Sorry, I'm still convinced it's her own banners.
+.+.+
The men of the Golden Company were outside their tents, dicing, drinking, and swatting away flies. Griff wondered how many of them knew who he was. Few enough. Twelve years is a long time.
That's considered fAegon evidence, but I'm not sure why.
Aegon was likely born in 282, he's currently 18 years old. The Sack of King's Landing was 283.
Aegon's first 5 years after the Sack are unaccounted for, but we can assume he was with Illyrio. That's not terribly suspicious. We already know they spent time together, he knows the kid's favourite candy.
+.+.+
So far as most of them were concerned, Connington had drunk himself to death in Lys after being driven from the company in disgrace for stealing from the war chest. The shame of the lie still stuck in his craw, but Varys had insisted it was necessary. "We want no songs about the gallant exile," the eunuch had tittered, in that mincing voice of his. "Those who die heroic deaths are long remembered, thieves and drunks and cravens soon forgotten."
What does a eunuch know of a man's honor? Griff had gone along with the Spider's scheme for the boy's sake, but that did not mean he liked it any better. Let me live long enough to see the boy sit the Iron Throne, and Varys will pay for that slight and so much more. Then we'll see who's soon forgotten.
Wait, what? Why is he that spiteful towards Varys? Varys is the only reason Aegon could sit the Iron Throne with Jon Connington by his side.
Maybe he blames Varys for Aerys turning on him.
+.+.+
All the skulls were grinning, even Bittersteel's on the tall pike in the center. What does he have to grin about? He died defeated and alone, a broken man in an alien land. On his deathbed, Ser Aegor Rivers had famously commanded his men to boil the flesh from his skull, dip it in gold, and carry it before them when they crossed the sea to retake Westeros. His successors had followed his example.
Better than being a rock.
He's in love with Rhaegar, I'm supposed to make fun of him.
+.+.+
Some of the sellsword captains bore bastard names, as Flowers did: Rivers, Hill, Stone. Others claimed names that had once loomed large in the histories of the Seven Kingdoms; Griff counted two Strongs, three Peakes, a Mudd, a Mandrake, a Lothston, a pair of Coles. Not all were genuine, he knew. In the free companies, a man could call himself whatever he chose.
That's considered fAegon evidence.
+.+.+
The spymaster was new to Griff, a Lyseni named Lysono Maar, with lilac eyes and white-gold hair and lips that would have been the envy of a whore.
That's considered fAegon evidence.
+.+.+
Ghosts and liars, Griff thought, as he surveyed their faces. Revenants from forgotten wars, lost causes, failed rebellions, a brotherhood of the failed and the fallen, the disgraced and the disinherited. This is my army. This is our best hope.
He turned to Harry Strickland.
Homeless Harry looked little like a warrior. Portly, with a big round head, mild grey eyes, and thinning hair that he brushed sideways to conceal a bald spot, Strickland sat in a camp chair soaking his feet in a tub of salt water. "You will pardon me if I do not rise," he said by way of greeting. "Our march was wearisome, and my toes are prone to blisters. It is a curse."
It is a mark of weakness. You sound like an old woman. The Stricklands had been part of the Golden Company since its founding, Harry's great-grandsire having lost his lands when he rose with the Black Dragon during the first Blackfyre Rebellion. "Gold for four generations," Harry would boast, as if four generations of exile and defeat were something to take pride in.
[...]
Strickland beckoned to his squire. "Watkyn, wine for our friends."
"Thank you, but no," said Griff. "We will drink water."
This is like being in Stannis Baratheon's head.
+.+.+
Does he know? Griff wondered. How much did Myles tell him? Varys had been adamant about the need for secrecy. The plans that he and Illyrio had made with Blackheart had been known to them alone. The rest of the company had been left ignorant. What they did not know they could not let slip.
That time was done, though. "No man could have asked for a worthier son," Griff said, "but the lad is not of my blood, and his name is not Griff. My lords, I give you Aegon Targaryen, firstborn son of Rhaegar, Prince of Dragonstone, by Princess Elia of Dorne … soon, with your help, to be Aegon, the Sixth of His Name, King of Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, and Lord of the Seven Kingdoms."
Silence greeted his announcement. Someone cleared his throat. One of the Coles refilled his wine cup from the flagon. Gorys Edoryen played with one of his corkscrew ringlets and murmured something in a tongue Griff did not know. Laswell Peake coughed, Mandrake and Lothston exchanged a glance. They know, Griff realized then. They have known all along. He turned to look at Harry Strickland. "When did you tell them?"
The captain-general wriggled his blistered toes in his footbath. "When we reached the river. The company was restless, with good reason. We walked away from an easy campaign in the Disputed Lands, and for what? So we could swelter in this god-awful heat watching our coins melt away and our blades go to rust whilst I turn away rich contracts?"
Well, that was a little underwhelming. Let's hope that's not a sign of things to come.
I'm not sure whether I should be questioning how Harry Strickland knew.
+.+.+
"In Meereen." Strickland beckoned to his squire. "Watkyn, a towel. This water's growing cool, and my toes have wrinkled up like raisins. No, not that towel, the soft one."
[...]
Harry winced as his squire toweled his feet. "Gentle with the toes. Think of them as thin-skinned grapes, lad. You want to dry them without crushing them. Pat, do not scrub. Yes, like that."
I've fallen in love with the diva because he irritates Jon Connington.
+.+.+
We came to raise up a king and queen who would lead us home to Westeros, but this Targaryen girl seems more intent on planting olive trees than in reclaiming her father's throne.
She's confused. Daario will straighten her out. The trees will burn.
+.+.+
"How much will they avail her when all these armies close about her city like a fist?"
Tristan Rivers drummed his fingers on his knee. "All the more reason that we must reach her quickly, I say. If Daenerys will not come to us, we must go to Daenerys."
People who argue the Golden Company would never support a Targaryen are so weird.
We need the girl. We need the marriage. If Daenerys accepts our princeling and takes him for her consort, the Seven Kingdoms will do the same.
They're trying to seat Daenerys upon the throne. Daenerys of House Targaryen. Aegon would be her consort. Hello?
+.+.+
Homeless Harry Strickland paused with his blistered foot in hand. "Let me remind you, it was Myles Toyne who put his seal to this secret pact, not me. I would honor his agreement if I could, but how? It seems plain to me that the Targaryen girl is never coming west. Westeros was her father's kingdom. Meereen is hers. If she can break the Yunkai'i, she'll be Queen of Slaver's Bay. If not, she'll die long before we could hope to reach her."
George is doing everything he can to confuse me right now.
The secret pact was between Myles Toyne, Connington, Illyrio, and Varys. Yes? Yes.
They planned to crown Aegon VI Targaryen. Daenerys was never part of this pact. Yes? Yes.
+.+.+
And then Prince Aegon spoke. "Then put your hopes on me," he said. "Daenerys is Prince Rhaegar's sister, but I am Rhaegar's son. I am the only dragon that you need."
Griff put a black-gloved hand upon Prince Aegon's shoulder. "Spoken boldly," he said, "but think what you are saying."
"I have," the lad insisted. "Why should I go running to my aunt as if I were a beggar? My claim is better than her own. Let her come to me … in Westeros."
Tyrion's words.
'Good morrow to you, Auntie. I am your nephew, Aegon, returned from the dead. I've been hiding on a poleboat all my life, but now I've washed the blue dye from my hair and I'd like a dragon, please … and oh, did I mention, my claim to the Iron Throne is stronger than your own?' - Tyrion VI, ADWD
Basically everything that's going to happen is Tyrion's fault.
+.+.+
The captain-general looked as if someone had slapped his face. "Has the sun curdled your brains, Flowers? We need the girl. We need the marriage. If Daenerys accepts our princeling and takes him for her consort, the Seven Kingdoms will do the same. Without her, the lords will only mock his claim and brand him a fraud and a pretender. And how do you propose to get to Westeros? You heard Lysono. There are no ships to be had."
Let the debates begin!
I think I know what Daenerys will believe.
+.+.+
"By now the lion surely has the dragon's scent," said one of the Coles, "but Cersei's attentions will be fixed upon Meereen and this other queen. She knows nothing of our prince. Once we land and raise our banners, many and more will flock to join us."
lmfao.
Not entirely sure of the timeline, but I'm going to pretend she's preoccupied with Bronn at the moment.
+.+.+
"The first Aegon took Westeros without eunuchs," said Lysono Maar. "Why shouldn't the sixth Aegon do the same?"
"The plan—"
"Which plan?" said Tristan Rivers. "The fat man's plan? The one that changes every time the moon turns? First Viserys Targaryen was to join us with fifty thousand Dothraki screamers at his back. Then the Beggar King was dead, and it was to be the sister, a pliable young child queen who was on her way to Pentos with three new-hatched dragons. Instead the girl turns up on Slaver's Bay and leaves a string of burning cities in her wake, and the fat man decides we should meet her by Volantis. Now that plan is in ruins as well.
Okay, let's talk about this. This was the plan?
Illyrio brokers a marriage between Daenerys and Khal Drogo, so Viserys can unite the Dothraki and Golden Company? And then what? Viserys steps aside, and lets Aegon be king? You can't be serious.
Illyrio's actions in AGOT don't make a ton of sense once you know Aegon is alive (No judgment, he was still figuring out the story), but there were better ways of fixing it I think.
+.+.+
Griff had heard enough of the captain-general's cowardice. "We will not be alone. Dorne will join us, must join us. Prince Aegon is Elia's son as well as Rhaegar's."
"That's so," the boy said, "and who is there left in Westeros to oppose us? A woman."
Oops.
Rest in peace, Aegon VI Targaryen. Opposed by a woman.
+.+.+
"A Lannister woman," insisted the captain-general. "The bitch will have the Kingslayer at her side, count on that, and they will have all the wealth of Casterly Rock behind them. And Illyrio says this boy king is betrothed to the Tyrell girl, which means we must face the power of Highgarden as well."
The bitch will have the Kingslayer at her side. They've hit a rough patch.
They will have all the wealth of Casterly Rock behind them. How much is that?
And Illyrio says this boy king is betrothed to the Tyrell girl, which means we must face the power of Highgarden as well. Yeah, about that.
+.+.+
Laswell Peake rapped his knuckles on the table. "Even after a century, some of us still have friends in the Reach. The power of Highgarden may not be what Mace Tyrell imagines."
I'm not currently prepared to tell you who the friends will be.
All I know is Randyll Tarly is getting his ass lit up, and Mathis Rowan is tired of lions.
+.+.+
Rivers was smiling in approval. Others traded thoughtful looks. Then Peake said, "I would sooner die in Westeros than on the demon road," and Marq Mandrake chuckled and responded, "Me, I'd sooner live, win lands and some great castle," and Franklyn Flowers slapped his sword hilt and said, "So long as I can kill some Fossoways, I'm for it."
Perhaps let's exclude House Fossoway from the friends list.
+.+.+
This is a side of Aegon I never saw before. It was not the prudent course, but he was tired of prudence, sick of secrets, weary of waiting.
Almost like he's terminal or something.
+.+.+
Win or lose, he would see Griffin's Roost again before he died, and be buried in the tomb beside his father's.
Would you settle for being ash in the wind?
+.+.+
The road ahead was full of perils, he knew, but what of it? All men must die. All he asked was time. He had waited so long, surely the gods would grant him a few more years, enough time to see the boy he'd called a son seated on the Iron Throne. To reclaim his lands, his name, his honor. To still the bells that rang so loudly in his dreams whenever he closed his eyes to sleep.
"surely the gods" = it's not going to happen.
+.+.+
Alone in the tent, as the gold and scarlet rays of the setting sun shone through the open flap, Jon Connington shrugged off his wolfskin cloak, slipped his mail shirt off over his head, settled on a camp stool, and peeled the glove from his right hand. The nail on his middle finger had turned as black as jet, he saw, and the grey had crept up almost to the first knuckle. The tip of his ring finger had begun to darken too, and when he touched it with the point of his dagger, he felt nothing.
Death, he knew, but slow. I still have time. A year. Two years. Five. Some stone men live for ten. Time enough to cross the sea, to see Griffin's Roost again. To end the Usurper's line for good and all, and put Rhaegar's son upon the Iron Throne.
Then Lord Jon Connington could die content.
I know it's his sword hand, but it's not like stone fingers will serve him any better. Chop, chop.
To end the Usurper's line for good and all
I'm sorry, is that Jon Connington daydreaming about killing children? Tsk, tsk.
Lord Jon Connington will not die content.
Final thoughts:
It's like having Jorah Mormont's POV, only he's in love with Rhaegar.

-> Chapter XVII ''Meereen''
Chapter XVIII ''Justice''
Now the people of Meereen also called her Mhysa, which only made her smile. They cheered when they saw her and waved their removed collars as she walked through the city streets. Everyone smiled back at her and she felt happy again, even though she couldn't call this city her home.
Those of the Masters who were still alive were gathered in front of her, surrounded by soldiers so that they could not escape or do anything to her. She looked at them in silence for a moment, wondering what she should do. She should do justice and punish them for their crimes. But she didn't want to do this now, deal with such unpleasant things, when she was happy again.
"For now, throw them into the dungeons." Visenya said to Ser Barristan before turning towards the Great Pyramid.
Once she was upstairs, on the huge balcony, she felt like a real ruler for the first time. At the same time, it reminded her of the times when she would go out on her balcony at Casterly Rock and admire the sea, or in King's Landing, where her room also overlooked the city. But there was no Targaryen sigil on the top of the building. She didn't rule there. There she looked at the endless sea or at a city that didn't know her or only gossiped about her. Here she ruled, everyone heard about her, they knew who she was, what she had done and what she could do. She wasn't an unwanted guest, she was a queen, it was her place.
From here everything seemed so peaceful... There was no noise of the city, no people in sight, and the blue sky stretched overhead. She would like to stay here for longer, but she couldn't. There were a lot of things to discuss. So she turned around, removing her hands from the stone railing, and returned to the interior of the chamber.
"So...?" she only said, signaling that they could start discussing the current situation.
"King Joffrey Baratheon is dead, Your Grace. Murdered at his own wedding."
She raised her eyebrows at the words coming from Ser Arthur's mouth.
Joffrey is dead. This bantling...
She still remembered how one day he decided to bully her, started pulling her hair, wanted to tear it out, and when she stopped him, he suggested that they could check if Targaryens are actually immune to fire. He'd be surprised...
And now he was gone. This meant that his younger brother, Tommen, will take the throne. She didn't know much about him, but she heard that he was the complete opposite of his older brother.
"And Second Sons took over the fleet of Meereen, my Queen." Daario stated, turning her thoughts away from Joffrey and his brother.
"Did someone ask you to do this?" she asked, clearly surprised that he did such a thing.
"No." he shrugged and, sitting next to the others at the table, reached for the dates lying on a plate in the middle of the counter. "But I heard you need ships."
Somehow she suppressed a sigh. On the one hand, she was upset that he did it without asking her permission, but on the other hand, it was a nice gesture in a way and she didn't want to be angry about it.
"How many ships?"
"Ninety-three." Ser Barristan replied.
"How many people can they carry?"
"Nine thousand three hundred, not counting the sailors."
"Would that be enough to take over King's Landing?" she asked with a dose of uncertainty in her voice, closing her eyes a little as she imagined it all.
These ships are enough to transport them to Westeros, Dragonstone, or even straight to King's Landing. Something that was once only a dream of hers now became a reality. She could return to the place from which she had once had to flee...
"The Lannisters have more soldiers." Ser Arthur said without hesitation.
"But they've been fighting Joffrey's war for several years now, and they're tired and scattered." Ser Barristan replied. "And their king is dead. Eight thousand Unsullied, two thousand Second Sons. If we sail into Blackwater Bay and attack the city gates without warning, that might be enough."
"But the city still needs to be held. What if the remaining Lords of Westeros turn against us? We may not defend ourselves." the two knights began to discuss various options among themselves, while Visenya listened.
"After living under Joffrey's rule, they will probably breathe a sigh of relief and accept a queen who is not mad and wants well for her subjects."
"You can't be sure of anything. Especially since no woman has ever sat on the Iron Throne."
"What about Rhaenyra Targaryen?" she interjected.
"Some houses ignored their oaths and preferred to support Aegon. You don't want to start a war you're not ready for."
This time she didn't hold back a sigh and after Ser Arthur's words, she turned her gaze out the window for a moment, to the still blue sky. It was so peaceful there, when here there were only problems with many solutions, but none of them was certain.
"There are also other news." she turned her gaze back to them when she heard Ser Arthur. "From Yunkai: When the Unsullied left the city, the Wise Lords regained control. They put people in chains again and swore revenge on you."
"Anything else?" she asked, although she wanted to say that she had enough of this news.
"From Astapor." he continued. "The council that was supposed to rule the city was overthrown by a butcher named Cleon, who proclaimed himself "His Imperial Highness" and now rules the city..."
"Enough." she blurted out before she could bite her tongue. There was silence for a moment until she spoke again. "Please, leave me alone." she watched as everyone got up from the table and started leaving. Looking at Ser Arthur, she added "You stay, ser." only then did she turn around and go back to the balcony, where she clearly felt better.
Ever since he helped her see a purpose in her life after Daenerys' death, she felt like she trusted him more than anyone else. When she became more confident, they started talking to each other a lot, especially during the travels. It also seemed like she was starting to see him as the father figure she never had. Thanks to him, she got to know her father from a different side, not in the usually bad light in which he was presented by the chroniclers paid by King Robert.
"The whole world looks good from here." she said, taking one last look at the view from the balcony, and then turned to the knight. "What am I doing wrong? In one city, a former slave took over, and in another, the Masters once again dominated the slaves. If I leave Meereen, one of these two will probably happen here too."
"It was certain from the beginning that most of the Masters would not accept being removed from their comfortable position."
"But an ordinary man who was once a slave now decided to elevate himself. I can't understand it..." she finished a little more quietly, lowering her eyes a bit, wondering why nothing went her way.
"You can always leave it all behind and sail to Westeros, Your Grace. On the throne sits a boy whom many consider a bastard. Their troops are devastated by the war, everyone is fighting among themselves, the Crown has never been so weak."
"Me too, I suppose." she admitted, although it sounded strange in the context of her whole story. "The Lannisters can't hold the Seven Kingdoms, and I can't hold three cities. I'm doing worse."
"Essos and Westeros are very different."
"Is that so? Here, the great families of the Masters exploit slaves from generation to generation, and in Westeros, the great houses also rule over others, forcing them to war, and they don't even know why they are fighting. It's not that different." she explained her point of view, leaning back against the balcony railing. "I will not allow those I freed to be put back in chains. We're not going to Westeros, we're staying here. And these Masters whom we now keep in the dungeons..." she hesitated for a moment. "They should be executed or nailed to the posts on which the slaves were previously hanging." she looked away, crossing her arms on her chest.
She didn't want to see his reaction to decisions she wasn't sure about. She knew she couldn't keep these people locked up forever, but would killing every last one of them be a good move? Perhaps this will scare away the Wise Lords of Yunkai or, on the contrary, they will want to take revenge on her even more.
"Are you sure?" she looked back at him, a bit surprised that he addressed her directly, but she didn't mind that.
"Are you questioning this decision?"
"Are you sure?"  he repeated the question.
At first she wanted to lie, but she quickly gave up on that idea, he would see through her immediately, she knew she wouldn't be credible now.
"No." she replied truthfully. "But it will be justice. Life for life."
"Crucifying them will not be justice, but revenge." he noted, pointing out to her the thin line between these two values.
"If I spare their lives, the former slaves will not accept it, and the Masters will consider me weak."
"Some of the for sure. And some will think that they have been given a second chance and will do everything to avoid losing life. You should try to make everyone think this way. You won't change the world by murdering everyone who doesn't think like you, but by convincing them to your values. You just took over the city, set the law for them to follow. If they break it, then you will punish them."
She silently considered his words and felt that he was right. It was a pretty good way out of the situation and she couldn't think of any better solution anyway, and probably won't come up with one. There was only one thing left she had to ask.
"What about former slaves?"
"You liberated them, they will listen to you. The law applies to them too. You yourself said: You must be just, not cruel to some and kind to others."
A gentle smile graced her lips. She wanted to tell him at that moment how happy she was to have him by her side, but she didn't want to go beyond the rather professional nature of their relationship.
"Tomorrow, go with Daario to find the officials who dealt with the law in Meereen and bring them to me. I will review the laws with them and make any necessary changes. During this time, we will keep Masters in the dungeons, they will have time to think about their lives and  choices they have made." when he nodded also with a slight smile, bowed slightly to her and moved to leave, she turned back to the beautiful sight before her.
Not only everything will look good from here, soon when walking through the city streets everything will be as beautiful as from this distance.
* * *
Robb hissed loudly, gritting his teeth as Sam cleaned another arrow wound for him. He saw Jon briefly before he left for Craster's Keep beyond the Wall, where the deserters were staying.
It may have been just a short moment, but it was the first time he finally felt something more than self-pity. Words couldn't express how much it meant to him that Jon was glad he didn't die at the Twins, even though such words went out into the world.
So they killed me before they actually killed me...
All in all, considering the situation he was in, it wasn't a bad move. He won't deny the rumors, because he will immediately reveal where he is, so he will sit quietly and let everyone think this way. One way or another, the Lannisters had won.
"You're lucky none of them got infected." Sam said as Robb grimaced badly again. He didn't even want to look at what his torso looked like now.
"Just when I want to die, the world keeps me alive, ironic..."he muttered, although it would have been better if he had remained silent, because this time he cursed the next time Sam touched the wound.
"I'm sorry." Sam muttered, seeing that he was causing a lot of pain while cleaning the wounds, and he was about to start sewing one of them...
"Don't apologize, it's my own fault..." he leaned his head back, trying to calm his breathing and breathe deeply. It didn't help that the images from that evening were flashing through his head again, bringing tears to his eyes. "I should rather apologize for the trouble and thank..."
"It's no trouble for me, and Jon's friend is my friend." he replied, smiling slightly at Robb, trying to cheer him up. "And now they won't disdain any extra pair of hands on the Wall, even if you are not and do not intend to be a brother. The wildlings are heaing to the Wall." he explained.
Robb would like to be able to forget about the world around him, at least for a moment, but even sleep wouldn't let him do that. Whenever he closed his eyes, he saw his mother having her throat cut, or a man stabbing Talisa's belly repeatedly with a knife, or other terrible scenes from the wedding. What happened to his uncle anyway? They killed him too? Are they holding him as a prisoner?
He would give everything he has - even though he currently has little - to turn back time. However, Lord Karstark was right, he lost the war on his wedding day. He could beat Tywin in every battle, but he couldn't force him to fight him when he retreated and looked for another way to get rid of him. As it turned out, he had so little honor in him that he decided to stab him in the back.
Damn honor, does anyone even care about it anymore? My father died because of it, I lacked it to keep my promise, but did it really matter that much? I wouldn't be betrayed either way?
That evening he closed his eyes, thinking that he won't find peace again. But to his surprise, he dreamed about something else.
A large, ruined room, and in front of him stood a silver-haired woman. He stood with his hand outstretched towards her. He asked her to dance?

My promise as a writer I will continually edit my fiction to ensure all possible triggers and/or warnings are at the top of each post. I do believe that all characters I will write about or for, have an opportunity for growth or redemption. Otherwise I would not be comfortable writing about them. I think this is an amazing way for us as fans to be creative and as imaginative as possible. Therefore I will also aside from requests have OC, series and other blurbs or headcanons I’d like to post or accomplish. I can’t wait to read and hear feedback in a safe, habitable way in the near future.

Edge’s rules
I will not write incest or NSFW senerioes about minors or minor/adult relationships. Depending on the scenario I might be open to aged up characters like in AUs, for example in MHA I've read plenty of Pro-hero AUs that eventually contain smut, I don't mind stuff like that.
I am very open to writing many different scenarios, AUs, Characters, ships, fluff/angst/smut, poly, threesome and beyond, you name it and I'll probably be down to write.
Both
Marvel
Harry Potter
Fullmetal Alchemist (any version)

The Walking Dead (show and telltale game)
^^^ These fandoms both of us will write for
We have the right to deny any request if we do not feel comfortable or if we do not think that we are capable of completing the request to our greatest ability.

I know it really doesn’t matter in the long run and that many people were fine with it or got used to it.
However, it will always annoy me that HotD and GoT did not put all different shades of purple, violet, strange and normal shades of blue on their Targaryen and Velaryon characters (yes the same for the black actors--why not? no racism). It takes me out of the story sometimes. They don't really seem like a different people by appearance alone with just their hair, while in the books (and not just the story POVs of AGoT) they are emphasized time and again how their looks are one of the reasons why the Targaryens are felt by others as "diifferent".
It lends to their mystique in the narrative.
I have seen film and shows that give their characters different contacts or edited their eyes in post-production: the Witcher and Twilight for example (even if that last one had some bogus contacts at times). Imagine if Geralt didn't have his signature yellow eyes? People would riot.
The hair colors, too, since it's described as "silver w/gold" for many Valyrian-descents (and even then, where's the variety of that particular feature?). The hair in the two shows tend to be more bleached blonde than "different"-blonde. And the conditions of the wigs placed on the actors aren't always the best, which lowers the immersion enough where I get distracted sometimes.
(Except for Matt Smith's braided look of episode 3 and his short hair of episode 4-5. Those appeared to have more effort put into them to characterize him and his state of mind. Also, all of Emma's hair looks actually looked like it grew out of their head and never looked dry.)
The great beauty of the Valyrians—with their hair of palest silver or gold and eyes in shades of purple not found amongst any other peoples of the world—is well-known, and often held up as proof that the Valyrians are not entirely of the same blood as other men. Yet there are maesters who point out that, by careful breeding of animals, one can achieve a desirable result, and that populations in isolation can often show quite remarkable variations from what might be regarded as common. (A World of Ice and Fire, 13)
It also points out the problem with GoT not allowing the colorfulness of Essoi cities like Tyrosh, Norvos, Qohor, etc have their individuals have dyed hair and multicolored clothing. A Tyroshi in GoT named Daario Naaharis--also Dany's lover--was supposed to have blue-dyed hair, since that is part of the Tyroshi culture.
The diversity from the canon world was dulled, so part of the allure of the ASoIaF's world was lacking in the shows.
But I also do understand that it takes a lot to even create, supply, shoot, and edit TV shows, so I can never feel all the way offended. It’s like I should be, with all my reasoning above always a weight, but the shows’ existence will forever jsut be as they are. Sigh.

Hello! It has been awhile. I recently started reading Mad Queen theories and most people I have seen said what Dany did was pure show invention and she won't kill innocent people. Like at all. But I have also seen some good points that she is going down the villain route mainly because
She is obsessed with prophecies given to her by people she doesn't really know and doesn't doubt the truth in them.
All her enemies so far have been mustache twirling villains and that won't be the case in Westeros where even the evil Lannisters are beloved.
She's delusional about the "blood of the dragon" and how she's immune to diseases.
She once said Viserys was a fool about his welcome in Westeros yet she's also the same now and when people try to lecture her, she shuts them down.
Given all these points, I think there is a high chance that GRRM is going down this route as well. It's a slippery slope.
Hi, anon! Thanks for the ask!
D&D made sure Dany had no excuse for what she did to KL because if they gave those Dany stans an inch, they'll take a mile and run a marathon with it. Let's let them cope. Do they really think D&D will do that to their cash cow if they had no choice? As for not killing innocents, she had 13 year olds and above killed for being part of slave society totally oblivious that not long ago she was part of it too. WHy Didn'T theY DenOUNce SlavEry??? Dany didn't denounce slavery until she was 15? in Astapor yet before that she owned slaves, used slaves and was married to a slave owner too. It's not like those 13 yr olds had a choice where they were born. Dany also ordered the torture of the wineseller's daughters when one of her favorite slaves servants died. Imagine what she will do in her grief when her most beloved servant Missandei dies along with her child dragon?
Let's discuss all points below.
She's gonna abandon Meereen and she''ll justify it by being the savior of Westeros once she meets the Red Priests. Then her dragon will get stolen by Aegon and with the other two she'll learn dragons don't do well in the North. There will also be powerful skinchangers that can compete and even kill dragons? She's not that special after all.
Yep. They're all comic villains and her armies are either gotten by deceit(Unsullied) and betrayal(Second Sons bc of Daario). She's gonna have a wake up call when she gets to Westeros with its war hardened generals.
3. Her delusion about her specialness will only get worse what with her getting saved again from death and will get the Khalasars of the other Khals.
4, I think her final test as a "hero" is her reaction to Aegon or Jon. If Aegon is real(I doubt he is) and Jon is legitimate(no doubts) then she's not the "rightful heir" to the Iron Throne. Let's remember that her chasing of the IT has always been justified as being the last scion of her House and her right. Is she gonna submit to Jon/Aegon or will she go " I have dragons so I win" which makes her a hypocrite and a usurper. Her hatred for Robert all these years would have been unfounded. As we've seen in the show, she did not give up the throne to Jon. Jon who is her lover and rightful King so she did not give up the crown for duty nor love despite earlier musings that she totally will. Words are wind.
Villain Dany's only saving grace would be PolJon and Jonsa imo. Because with those two points, she becomes somewhat of a victim. Poor Dany who was used for her dragons and armies(even tho they had no choice but to pacify her) and even killed by her lover/nephew who turns out has been in love with another the whole time. Dany coincidentally happens to be the woman in the way of their marriage. Now why would Jon kill her? Jon's motivations will be tainted in the eyes of the readers.

The way Alicent just barely has both Larys and Cole on a leash, and they act out of turn and murder people for her sake when she didn't want that, leaving her appalled and exhausted (Harrenhal and Lord Beesbury). It's astonishingly pathetic and humiliating. Look at Daenerys and Missandei/Jorah/Daario, or Cersei and Qyburn/Jaime/The Mountain.
Bestie every single female character in the Game of Thrones universe has more personality than Alicent Hightower. I honestly don't know what to say about that girl. I mean I can't even properly hate her? I feel nothing for her she literally has no reason to be in the story, apart from the obvious reason, which is to serve as a self insert to Targ antis. Lol imagine hating a fictional noble house so much that you'd rather spend a decade hate watching two shows where they are the protagonists and stan the most pathetic of main characters in the whole Game of Thrones out of sheer spite? Like, I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

An unpopular opinion?
I don't think Euron will team up either with Dany (obviously) but not with Cersei either
AGREE
I've seen a few ppl say he will try to "seduce" 🤢 Dany and she'll be "tempted." I think that's pretty far fetched and there isn't much evidence to support it. Especially if she recognizes him from her creepy dream in adwd, "a man with blue lips."
He might try to reach Dany somehow, he wants her to be his bride, basically he wants to use her magic like the warlocks in Essos. but as far as him tempting her or even getting close enough to speak to her? I dont know. I imagine we might get some more dreams, he might try to communicate with (or control) her that way. But he's about to do his Horror Villain thing in Oldtown and I can't imagine Dany's not gonna hear about it.
I read this one dudes post about how Dany will surely be attracted to Euron bc she is attracted to Daario. That's a wild fuckin reach imo and pretty wild to say Dany won't be able to refuse Euron just bc he might be her type.
Also, yeah I dont see how he's gonna do his thing in Oldtown and get to KL to form an alliance with Cersei. After the Oldtown stuff (maybe he brings down the Wall, or the Citadel, or both) I imagine everything with him is gonna happen pretty quickly. He's got a lot to deal with there. The Tyrells are gonna have something to say about his shenanigans, Sam the Slayer is gonna do some magic stuff, Bran might have to fight him in their dreamscape, Dany might show up to burn him alive, etc. I dont see how an alliance with Cersei will improve either of their narratives. They dont need to team up to keep their stories going, ya know?
I think it's more likely he allies himself with the Others or something like that. Really looking forward to seeing whats up with this creepy ass pirate! Especially when he brutally dies!! Hope Theon and Asha are there to watch him burn <3
