Maverick pauses mid-pet, glancing over from the desk he was currently sitting in. He noticed the unfamiliar face, then the bags, and rose an eyebrow. "You're new here?" He rose up to his feet, setting down a lanky, hairless cat from his lap onto his bed, where she quickly scampered off. He crossed the room, offering a hand. "My name's Maverick, Child of Hades. Are you claimed yet?"

Ryder Amos Carter

Son of Nyx, Legacy of Poseidon.

Ryder is a 19 year old Son of Nyx who spent 12 years in the Lotus Casino. He ended up there on accident after passing near it on a quest, and since Returning to camp very recently, he has been seeking out the other two friends who went with him that never returned. He is quiet and reserved, but self-assured and straightforward as well.

Two Fun Facts:

Ryder was born in the Mansion of Night, but since he wasn't adjusting well, Nyx returned him to his father at the age of 2. He suffers vivid nightmares and some waking bug-related hallucinations because of his time there.

Ryder is very Sensitive to light, and wears dark sunglasses 24/7.

System's favorite thing about Ryder is the relationship he has with @ride-the-tide!!! It's so cool to see accounts that are linked to eachother.

As spoken, Maverick stood at the barrier to camp, turning on occasion to look at the large statue that sat illuminating the camp, dampened only by the sun as it made its way across the sky. It was still rising, given he had woken so early, but he seemed to consider something for a moment before scoffing and holding the backpack over his shoulder.
