“Listen,” Viktor pulled off his glasses, rubbing the bridge of his nose, “I don’t want you to think I’m some kinda fool. For not taking my chance.”
V rested the gun on her shelf, listening as clearly as she could above her pounding pulse.
“Your chance?”
She’d never seen his eyes like this, in the warm glow of anything. For the first time, she could tell they were a hazy gray.
He cleared his throat.
“With you.”

Taking place in the early stages of Act 2, V and her ripperdoc finally have an honest conversation.

1: Cyberpunk Ships.
I was advised not to speak about it because it would bring too much drama into the fandom but know what? I don’t care because people need to speak out about their experiences doesn’t matter if they are good or not.
What is my point in talking about ships in the fandom? As we can see there are a lot of people with their ships and they are happy about it and about others that have the same ship. I think you all know that my point is to talk about those people who aren’t happy with others doing the same ship as they do and my question is: What’s up with that? You don’t own this character buddy. They belong to CD Projekt and not you so why do you get so bitter about people having them? Can’t you just be happy that people give love to the same NPC as you do?
Recently I saw something that is just funny because it’s ridiculous. I was on Twitter and saw an artist (who already has some drama exposed here on Tumblr to stole art from others) that is open comms for blender thing and he will do it for you IF you don’t ask him to do blender with the characters his friends have a ship with. I mean… What the heck?
Those same people who get bitter about it are the same posting on discord serves and social media about how the fandom was bad to them and being all like positive energy and asking people to don’t get down because of shitty people in this space we all created together what an irony huh. Why you don't start acting? You can win an oscar with that level of acting.
If you want to get bothered because people have the same ship as you do buddy do these steps:
Go to CD Projekt .
Ask them how many you have to have to buy the rights of the character so you can claim it for the internet.
Buy it.
If you can’t do that… STOP BEING AN IDIOT.

thinking about how v’s name is only uttered twice during the events of cyberpunk 2077, and only once by the person who knew her the most. how the alias of “v” become something akin to a mask, something to hide behind. v the merc, strong-willed and capable. she put “valerie” to bed years ago, buried her. thinking about the conversation at the oilfields, when johnny says “most people i thought were my friends couldn’t even stand to be in the same room with me. you’re fucking closest to me by a long shot, there 24/7. and yet, you don’t seem to hate my living guts.” the intimacy of sharing one mind, one heart. v and johnny as an “us” and “we” in the most literal sense of the word; one and the same. thinking about the tower’s epilogue, where v talks aloud to johnny, even though he’s not there. how in all the endings where one is left without the other, how often that must have happened. how painful it would be to become accustomed to sharing one mind with each other, only to have that ripped away, and the loneliness that must come with it.
