given that two of my worst fears are dying from asphyxiation and drowning, reading about that lost billionaire submarine is a very bad idea, but i cannot help but be baffled at every choice that was made for this expedition

#like. they locked themselves in a windowless tin can bolted from the outside #piloted by a fucking 2003 xbox controller #and not one of them at any point was like 'hey maybe we shouldn't do this cuz this is clearly a death trap' ?#some guy brought his 19 year old son on board like leave that kid alone !!!!!!#apparently they fired the one dude who was like hey this isn't safe at all #cuz safety gets in the way of innovation apparently #this is just awful for everybody
