you seem like the. kind of person who I'd run into during a rock concert while I'm trying to find bathroom and notably you are dressed kind of oddly for the concert (see: divorced dad outfit. hawaiian shirt. jorts. chunky sandles. giant sun hat.) and so I ask you "hello, do you know where I can find the bathroom?" and you go "yeah sure!!" and you point me the complete opposite direction from the bathroom. not on purpose, but because you also have no idea where the bathroom is. I thank you and go on my way, both of us oblivious to the fact we are currently very much not at a rock concert. it's an idie band that just screams really loud. sorry if that's specific you just give me giant 'perpetual tourist that isn't really a tourist and has never left their home city but just seems like a tourist anyways' energy

A silly little SK appreciation post (may or may not be silly and or little)

Wow, 15 years. One long time, isn't it? I feel like starkid has sorta become a personality trait of mine. I'm the "starkid obsessed" one in my friend group. I make it very very obvious that I adore this group, everything they've done. From the fandom least favorites, to their most adored shows, I love it all. I don't think I'd really be the same person without these shows. I feel like that's a really big thing to say about something I'm not a part of nor have I been in the fandom for too long (i mean 2 and a half years is kinda long?) but I do think I can say I wouldn't be the same. It's gotten me into musicals that aren't Hamilton, that's already a great thing they've done! I've met some of the most amazing people through this fandom, talking about the shows themselves, they've made me laugh, cry, and throw things at my wall more than most pieces of media ever could. I'm rewatching avpm and just finding myself feeling really nostalgia for that old starkid feel. I mean I'm SO excited for Cinderella's Castle, I think from a technical standpoint it'll be their best show yet, but that put together college vibe just hits something for me, I can't describe it. The poorly made sets, the cheap costumes, the fact it's so low quality just makes it a better experience. And the music from these shows is just spectacular! Starkid has some of the best composers ever, I don't know how they find such talent.

I feel that since Hatchetfield released, npmd especially, those older shows aren't as talked about. Which is fair, we may be running out of things to talk about, but I think just rewatching them is an experience. If you haven't gone back and seen starkids older shows, there's truly no better time to start than now. You won't regret it. The fact some of yall don't know the amazing talent of their older actors hurts my soul to think about, we need more appreciation for just all the actors that aren't in the Hatchetfield shows.

Anyways, long story short, starkid is amazing, it's changed my life for the better, I love you all members of SK (doubt any of them will see this but I'll say it anyways), something something fuck clivesdale, something something this is all jafar's fault, and it's been totally awesome :)

I usually only listen to the live versions of "Another Man's Woman" since I didn't really like the album version? (I don't know why lol.) Anyways now that I listened to the studio/album version again... I still don't like it... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! You're able to hear a lot of the intricacies of each instrument and the vocals in the album version you can't really hear in the concert versions.. I love and appreciate this song.

Why do you think Chris wouldn't be around if Eddie and Maddie got together or that he wouldn't have CP? I thought Chris was on season 2.

for no particular reason. i was just thinking about the things that make maddie and eddie who they are and i don’t know when the plan to have them together changed to madney happening so i was just thinking thoughts out loud. like to me, season 2 eddie and maddie don’t make sense as a couple at all. they don’t have romantic chemistry imo so did the plans for one (or both) of them change in the writers room or like did they put both of them on screen in the middle of season 2 and go yeah actually no we hate this idea?

and if the change was in the writing room before the season started what changes did they make. like for eddie, chris is very much integral to who he is as a character so like if they changed chris somehow (to not exist to or to be older/younger or to not have CP) would they have been able to change eddie to make him more compatible for maddie? or would they have changed maddie and her whole relationship with doug and the abuse (not to say she is wholly defined by the abuse but in season 2 it was her storyline) to make eddie/maddie work better? cuz like from the jump madney made more sense than eddie/maddie.
