remember last night when I said I’d finally figured out something I could make for my bf for christmas? that thing is gonna be a big cool airplane collage, bc he loves war history, and fighter planes in particular. he’s described them as his first big obsession.

my mom and sibling went to VV the other day and I asked them to keep an eye out for books I could chop up for pictures. they brought me back this, which is full of great photos and diagrams, and I’m sure will be fantastic for the project.

tonight I was flipping through it trying to decide where to start and thought I’d try asking Nick a question to give myself a jumping-off point. I figured it was safe bc the chances of him guessing what I’m up to are slim at best.

forty minutes later:

…you know. several months back, I carefully asked him whether he’d ever considered if he might be autistic. his answer was a vague sort of ‘yeah, maybe, I guess.’ I don’t think he was worried about giving it much more thought, at least for now. but boy,,

Yeah these guys aren't just small humans lmao. This has always been how I imagined they are "under the hood", but this is the first time I've properly demonstrated that.
