here's what ur gonna do. ur gonna get a plain tshirt from anywhere. from ur closet or ur dad or the thrift store or whatever. then ur gonna go to the dollar store or whatever equivalent u have in ur country. ur gonna get fabric paint and a sponge. ur gonna go home and take a cereal box or a cover of a magazine or something similar. ur gonna draw a design on it [or words. or print out a picture and trace it onto the cardstock) and cut out a stencil. then ur gonna use the sponge to dab the paint onto the shirt using the stencil. ur gonna do that thinly in 2-3 coats until it's opaque but not too stiff. then ur gonna let it dry for 24 hours. ur gonna cover that shirt with a thin towel and press an iron against the design for 30 seconds. then ur gonna wash it & wear it. got it?

one of these days I will fully articulate an essay on the costume design in the terror (for crozier specifically because I have so many brainworms about it) but it is not this day

#bro I just think it's super neat that his style of dress is distinctly stuff from about 10 even 20 years before the expedition set sail #and how that's a deliberate choice for the character because he's a broke ass bitch and wouldn't be able to afford new shit!!!!#it really speaks to his practicality!!! a lot of his stuff is mended!!! his shirt is more of an 1830's style than an 1840's style #(re: jfj's shirt that he wears when he's dying is more typical of a shirt made in the 1840's with that big pleated plaquet- vs crozier with #his shirt with a cut-out curved collar is more distinctively 1830's maybe even earlier)#also the stuff he was wearing in the sophia flashback was way more REGENCY than victorian #sorry. infinite brainworms about this all the time and always #and I love it now when costume designers get this kind of shit RIGHT and that you can actually SEE it)#francis crozier #the terror

i would buy so many more shirts from artist if they were transparent on the printing process. please i need to know if it's a digital on demand print that will flake off in a few washes or a good screenprinted shirt where the print lasts longer than the shirt itself. please tell me in your product description i am begging.

#idc how good quality the digital print is they are just pressed onto the fibre and eventually will detach #meanwhile screen and block printing fades but seeps into the fibre deep enough to always stay there. I have screenprinted shirts that lasted #me years and than i cut the print out and kept it as a fabric patch #please I can't afford to buy shirts that look nasty after 5-10 washes
