They always kiss like they have been yearning for that kind of contact for years, and like now that they've gotta a(nother) taste they never want to stop again, it's honestly mind-boggling.

Oscar thumps his head against the wall. “I think I’m cursed.”

He sounds genuinely distraught. Lando looks at him, notes the closed eyes and pained expression. He works very hard to keep the laughter out of his voice. He isn’t sure he succeeds. “You’re not cursed.”

Oscar opens his eyes, and Lando hurries to straighten his expression. He meets Landos eyes and very seriously repeats, “I’m cursed.” He pauses a moment for Lando to respond. When he stays silent, Oscar continues, “He adopted me.”

Lando sighs, settles down next to him. “Look, maybe that’s how he flirts. You know,” he gestures with his hand, “using it as an excuse to get to know you.”

Oscar eyes him wearily, “How do you know.” The moody tilt to his voice is almost enough for Lando to break. He takes a breath to keep the laughter down.

“I don’t.” He cuts off Oscar’s unhappy hum, “But. You can be kind of, you know.” Oscar looks at him, waiting for him to continue. “Maybe he’s trying to feel you out. You can be— hard to gauge.”

“Hard to gauge.” Oscar parrots back, unimpressed. But his gaze slides off of Lando, which he takes to mean that Oscar is thinking. He waits a moment. “Okay. Maybe. At least—” he pauses, “he’ll get to know me this way.”

Oscar doesn’t seem happy exactly, but he’s thinking. So back to normal— or close to it. Which is good for Lando, since it means he’ll be able to laugh at him sooner without offending him. Maybe he’ll even agree to go out after the race.

personally i really dont like the theory about totk potentially being about seperating ganondorf from demises curse when its framed as in that gan was just an uwu innocent guy used as a literal puppet by .. just another one-note incarnation of evil™️

like, im all for a "good" ganondorf or him as an ally or something, but this just robs him of so much while adding nothing

the way demises "curse" is often spoken about in fandom is as if its a literal spell, magic he did in his last moments, i always interpret it as a warning, if they contiue this way they will have to battle someone akin to him again and again, there cant be life without death ect

he is a force of chaos and shadow in a world that wants only control and light, if the ones capable of shaping the world keep striving for a one sided one a force akin to him will rise again, to tip back the scale, they want it to be one sided, but all has to return to balance

the gods (in canon?) want a purely "good" world, but who decides what is good and what isnt? neither a purely "good" world nor a purely "evil" one is the correct one, its a battle of balance, both want to tip the scale in their favor, but it has to be balanced, so they fight again (and even if the "good" people are in charge, will they discriminate against those they deem to be too different, will those suddendly be stapled as evil, as something that must be eradicated?)

its like ... they keep fighting a force of nature, and try to seal it forever, but some forests are laid out to be burned down every few years so it can sprout anew, eliminating the fires destroys more than it protects even if it may look like the objectively good thing at first

yet they keep trying to fight it instead of adjusting life with it, if the world of loz has to fall to grow anew, theres surely a way to work with it instead of fighting it again and again, next time always being worse than the last

( this at least is how i see the canon as it currently is, in my own AU comic its a very different deal )

If I could animate, I could do an animation of 'Your Light' showing Polites freezing up in front of the boar and turning back towards Odysseus, who is looking on in horror before he rushes in to save Poli. Then I'd make a 'Survive' animatic and have time slow down right before Polites gets killed; Polites would see the oncomming club and freeze, then would turn back to look at Odysseus, who is looking on in horror. The scene flashes for several frames between the club and the boar. But this time Odysseus can't lunge forward fast enough. This time he can't take the blow.
