A breakfast I was not too petty to finally try! Piece of toast, white rice, Japanese curry, cheese on top, then back under the broiler til it browns and bubbles.

The question with recipes like these is whether they are more than the sum of their parts, and in this case, I would say..... maybe marginally so? However, it is *definitely* better than putting the curry directly on toast; the rice barrier stops it from getting soggy and floppy, and the textural contrast of chewy rice and crunchy toast is nice.

Overall, I'm not mad at it. If you have a lot of leftover curry, this is a decent way to use it up while getting a bit of variety.

Breakfast came from the nearby coffee shop a couple of blocks down the street. Mum bought herself the Braised Duck Porridge (卤鸭粥) with extra duck meat and no skin. She gotten me the Vegetarian Rice (斋饭) takeaway with curry mock mutton & potato, Chinese mustard greens stir-fry (芥菜) and savoury imitation pork slices.

one of the worst things abt me as a person is my inability to rmr that i don’t like curry very much & the fact that i keep making large quantities of it & having to eat it
