white river ranch, currently owned and run by tyson clay weaver. named after the river that runs through the property that isaac weaver ( tyson and bryne's father. ) met julia beckett ( their mother. ) swimming in. love at first sight, and it was with julia's expertise that the ranch flourished. white river are known for breaking in and training horses, some of the best horses in the rodeo and racing circuit come from white river.

tyson clay weaver. 40. ranch owner, wrangler and trainer. retired bronc rider now owner of white river ranch due to the death of his father isaac. he loved the rodeo's growing up, always annoying the wranglers to take him to them in town when he was younger, spent more time on a horse than he did his own two feet. knew exactly who and what he wanted to be at a young age, and his parents were supportive of that decision, even if the thought of it scared the shit out of julia. he married soon into his twenties to marissa preston, but as soon as he retired to return to work for his father due to his illness she left him ... enjoying his rodeo life, but not the ranch life. they aren't divorced, just seperated for the time being. she lives in the city, and that's not the life for him.

bryne julia weaver. 26. barrel racer and aspiring country singer. she was an unplanned pregnancy between aging parents who thought they were done having children --- having three prior to her. the pregnancy was high risk due to julia's age, but saw it as a sign and despite doctor's warnings she went through with the pregnancy, wanting the child. julia unfortunately did not survive the pregnancy, opting to save bryne and died a few hours after the birth. enjoys the ranch life but wants something more for herself. she's a damn talented barrel racer, but her hearts in music and that's what she wants to do with herself. tyson thinks her head's in the clouds, but otherwise trying to be supportive of her.

grant jason walker. 28. wrangler and ranch - hand. nephew to tyson and bryne through their sister, lucy weaver. unfortunately at a young age the walker family got into a bad car accident, and the only one that survived was the young grant. sent to live with tyson, who lucy named his godfather as well as giving custody to him in any event something happened to them. he's a bit standoff-ish, preferring the company of animals than that of people, but it makes him a damn good horse trainer. he bull rides when the rodeo is in town, but due to tyson not having any children, he's being prepped to take over the ranch at some stage so he's concentrating on that.

I can't get your yakuza headcanons out of my mind, Daitou's got me in a chokehold and I'm not complaining, like--

in regards to that doodle you made to show height difference between reader and the boys [I love your art btw (●♡∀♡)] - I can't picture myself in reader's style, I'm currently going through my goth phase in my 20s lmao; picture a big bitch with tattoos and messy hair who's listening to nothing but 2000s hits and screamo bands - so I'd like to request a headcanon of how Daitou would react to a gender-neutral reader like this :D I also like to incorporate the idea of them once being in a famous band that he's a fan of! (sorry if this seems like a lot, I have a huge imagination hehe)

but if he's more into the cute and helpless type, I'll just walk my ass out the door and yeehaw my way into another yandere's arms ✌😔

That's on me for not drawing the reader inserts as cartoonish cinder blocks :') In truth I'm a little bit embarrassed seeing how many likes that doodle has gotten, it was something I put together in a hurry and the clothing was meant to be baggy, shapeless, with not too many folds for the sake of simplicity. I myself am more of a pilgrim goth, just to emphasize the randomness of the choice.

Drawing reader inserts always leaves me a little anxious. If I use a light shade of gray, will people think I'm excluding poc? Will plus sized readers feel like they've been disregarded? What about masculine readers? As someone who's demiromantic I always struggle taking appearance or gender into consideration, because to me it has no influence whatsoever. Which is hard to express when you want to offer blank slate visuals as an extra to the story.

What I'm trying to say is that all of my characters would like you for who you are. Sure, they find your looks cute, but it's not the defining reason. Maybe you have similar traits to them, maybe you're the complete opposite and they find it intriguing. You could be a buff man and Daitou would be just as grateful to have someone who isn't afraid of him. I usually stick to a female reader for bigger stories to avoid messing it up long term, but in the grand scheme of things it makes no difference. I always imagine reader to be a shapeless blob that provides the dialogue I need for the story mood. There's no concrete preference or type for any of my OCs. I mean, ideally you'd like them back and not hang them upside down above a BBQ pit but I feel these are sensible requirements (?).

And now for the actual headcanons since my ramble is over.

First encounter is comically awkward but for reasons you’re unaware of yet. You’re obviously used to people staring at you (more so in a country like Japan), so you were expecting the curious glance every now and then. On the other hand, being under scrutiny, from a man even more unusual looking than you at that, is odd. Mildly uncomfortable. You’re shifting yourself from one leg to another, hoping to be done with the introductions soon.

On his end, Daitou is anxiously fidgeting and trying his best to focus. He’s seen this face before and he can’t shake off the familiar feeling. Where the hell…He obviously can’t downright gawk at you, and he isn’t sure how to politely formulate a question. After several sheepish peeks, it finally dawns on him: weren’t you part of that band he really likes? No, what would the chances be? Then again, how many people out there would look exactly like you? Is it rude to ask? He has no idea. He resumes his mumbled description of the apartment and hands you the papers to be signed.

Back at his place, he finally digs through his merch and sprawls out the available clues. “I didn’t know you were into this kind of music”, Kazuya comments as he looks over the man’s shoulder. He’d come over to ask about the new tenant. “I’m pretty sure it’s them.” He concludes, confidently placing his index over a CD cover. “Huh? Who? The tenant?” Kazuya holds back his chuckle. “Why would a celebrity show up for a shady apartment offer? You’re tripping, man.”

“I’m sorry, this is getting ridiculous.” You finally exclaim, annoyed by the persistent stares of the now two men facing you. You’re standing in front of the apartment building, arms crossed, huffing at the tall scarred man and his blonde friend. “No, I’m sure of it. Even the tattoo is the same.” Daitou turns to whisper to Kazuya, oblivious to your complaints. In turn, Kazuya lightly elbows him, mouthing something about being rude. “Just ask them, man.” He adds, this time louder. “Ask me what??” You groan. “W-were you…um…in this band by any chance?” Daitou manages to blurt out, searching his pocket for the CD case and ceremoniously laying it under your eyes.

Ah. It finally clicks and you exhale, relieved. You confirm their suspicions and show them some backstage photos to solidify your claim. You ask Daitou if he wants an autograph or something, then swiftly scribble your signature on a piece of paper and hand it out to him. He holds it with a wide, childish grin. “You’re a weird one, you know? You could’ve just asked. I guess I didn’t expect to find a fan in the wild, especially here.” Daitou carefully folds the souvenir, eyes lidded with nostalgia. “Oh yes, it’s great. Drowns out the screams.”

Out of genuine curiosity, will we ever get more stuff of your self insert oc with or without Boots? Because even if the description on that original post says you can’t design clothes to save your life; I’d love to know The Lore™️. They’re dragon-y so are they a vidyadhara? Or like a western style dragon distant species relative from some other planet? How’d they get involved with good ol Yeehaw McTriggerfingers and did they ever end his air jail sentence?

abdjjdsjndbf honestly thank you for asking im kinda flattered hahaha. i have some vague lore about her relationship to boothill but it's been slowly taking shape. a while before boothill was teased i had actually started work on what's basically a trailblaze mission concept on a new planet. it's called Aloniir, and it's a desert planet, but i personally think that the trope of desert planets being barren, miserable hellscapes is overplayed, so it's actually quite rich with life. i have a whole document with details but ill spare you from most of it (unless you're somehow interested lol). i have a whole food chain planned and everything, it's kind of absurd bsbdbdnejabsbb

anyway i have a huge Thing about characters that experience monstrous transformations so that's the gimmick for all the characters from this planet. im still kind of on the fence about the exact details but the idea is that the planet went through a period of disaster eons ago, but via some kind of elation influence (direct influence from the aeon or from a stellaron, im not sure yet) they had a sort of insane rng element added to their genetics which allowed them to survive the harsh conditions with their various adaptations. they all have crazy unique powers and stuff. i have some ocs in the works but that would be in another post if anybody is interested lol

the current plotline im going with for my s/i is technically an au of the original concept for the world where the ipc yoinks them all up for Human Experimentation Purposes to learn how to utilize their biology for potential gains. (i have one character that's functionally immortal because she heals so quickly for example, which would obviously be of great value to them.)

boothill finds my s/i in a test tube on an ipc ship that he's raiding and realizes that she's probably a prisoner. he lets her out and she realizes that she.. kinda sorta has nowhere to go - no connections, no purpose, no real goals other than freeing the rest of her people; she can't go back home because of the ipc occupation, and she'd just get snatched right back up anyway. so she helps boothill escape, contemplating all the while, and it all culminates into the two of them being forced to jump off the ship to escape "by the wing," so to speak.

after they land, she asks if she can accompany him for a while, just to get her feet on the ground. he's hesitant, naturally, but he figures it can't hurt if it's just for a little while. turns out that they work very, very well together, and it's nice to have someone to bail him out if he bites off a bit more than he'd like to chew on his own. tale as old as time lol.

power-wise her abilities are sorta still nebulous in my head rn.. she has a regular fleshy dragon form and the skeletonized one from the original art. her skin burns up in the transition (think the animation after dragons die in skyrim) bc i think the mental image is cool as hell. i wanna give her some kinda additional abilities but i havent come up with anything yet !! heres some messy stuff for you

History: Born as a premature twin to Adam (a human) and Jolie (a mutant), the new parents joyous time was cut short when a few hours after their babies were born, a nurse came to tragically inform them that Gemma’s sibling had died. Confused, they asked how that could possibly happen, that they were fine earlier in the day. They explained to them that it looked as if their baby had been layered with crystal, the material unfortunately covering the nose and mouth and crushing several bones. It was then that Gemma’s parents realized that she had inherited the x-gene from her mother, something that prior to her, had been dormant for nearly 3 generations.

Since the incident, Gemma is given a shot everyday to suppress her powers until her parents deemed her old enough (10) to start learning how to properly maintain them.

In elementary school she meets Elijah ‘Eli’ Hardin, another mutant with the power of technopathy and who would end up becoming the best friend she always needed. They stuck by each other through thick and thin; Eli being her protector and hero and Gemma being his rock, keeping him grounded.

Throughout high school, Gemma would notice that Eli was starting to become distant with her, hanging around other mutants and beginning to spend less and less time with her. In junior year he disappears completely, causing Gemma to go to his house only to be met with his alcoholic foster parent. He tells her that he doesn’t know his whereabouts and after following a list of dead end clues, she concluded that he was gone.

Now alone once again, Gemma was desperate for a friend which unfortunately landed her in the middle of a prank orchestrated by a group of popular kids. Knowing that Eli wasn’t by her side anymore, they took full advantage of it, humiliating Gemma in front of a crowd as a petty revenge for the times Eli defended her. The prank backfired however, causing Gemma to panic and lose control of her powers. She accidentally set off an attack of crystal and sent them flying into the crowd, severely injuring those around her.

It’s later when Charles Xavier approached Gemma and her family, promising a safe haven for her and a way to properly get a hold of herself at the School For Gifted Youngsters and where she remains currently.

— She’s a vegetarian!

— She likes to practice her clown painting on Eli, along with other types of makeup and also paints his nails.

— While she’s grateful for being in Xavier’s school, she fears for the time she has to put her powers to use because she doesn’t like having the responsibility of other people’s lives in her hands.

— Her favorite painting is a watercolor by Winslow Homer, “Two Boys Watching Schooners” because it reminds her of her and Eli. Some other favorites include “Flower Garden and Bungalow, Bermuda” (Winslow Homer), “Picking Wildflowers” (Rhonda Holmes Nicholls), and “Red Canna” (Georgia O’Keeffe).

— Her cat is named after Stitches from Animal Crossing.

Good evening loves! We made it to February! It’s hard to believe we are one month into 2024! I love the idea of the team during Spring time and I thought I'd make some March/Spring prompts because it makes me happy. This prompt list is inspired by the always amazing, @imagining-in-the-margins who always make the best prompt lists. I'm currently writing for her New Beginnings Challenge (linked) and having a blast). For my prompts, I won’t write for all these prompts, but I will for at least a few. The rules for using these prompts are that there are no rules! You could use any Criminal Minds characters, OCs, reader inserts, etc. You could draw, write, make mood boards, or imagine anything else. I have included 31 prompts for each day of the month. I also get inspiration from plain old words, so I’ve included 10 Spring words that might inspire something. Lastly, I’ve included a few dialog and art prompts too. Hey there! I'm Cordelia Naviglio, a 22-year-old water-type gym trainer, currently residing in the Paldea region (previously lived in Galar)! I prefer not being so formal, so please feel free to refer to me with any nickname you find comfortable!:D

I was born and raised in Hoenn, where I got my first Mudkip, Filippo, who I've been dearly missing since I left the region! (My ex-girlfriend, Katya bargained me to let him stay with her; I hope to one day go back and get him into my arms again!)

As of now, I'm a single, pansexual, water-loving gal, who dreams of finding love once again through the depths of foamy waves...<3 And of course, I have my trusty companion, beloved Buffy, my gyarados with me, too! Ahem.

I love to work at the daycare in my free time, breeding and taking care of pokémon whenever I can! I also love going surfing with my gyarados and my lapras (and many other water-type pokémon I posess, hehe >u<)!

Although I do prefer water types, I am not picky with my pokémon! Despite having a few that scare me, or others that I struggle to work with... I love them equally! Especially if they are cute!

i like to ship cordi with milo but honestly my hyperfixation can never settle on one character (i also wanted her to be available for potential oc shipping shenanigans) so i just made her single. yeah. also she's bubbly and cheerful but can be flustered very easily! i really dunno what to add temporarily since she's not really fleshed out but yeah!! i'm glad if anyone checks out the blog and reads this!! thank you!

President Howard Goodman sat at his desk in the Oval Office, alone. The orange light of the setting sun filled the room, silhouetting him with his back to the window. He was alone. He kept telling himself that.  There was no one else in the room, hadn't been for hours as he demanded to be left alone for the rest of the day, but he could not convince himself that he was actually alone. He felt watched. Every shadow out of the corner of his eye looked to be a person, or a beast, or some horrific fusion of the two. It was worth mentioning that Howard hadn't been sleeping well lately.

About: The other (joke) working title for this was "Howie's Hot Girl Summer." The real title was "I'll Find You In The Next Timeline." It was meant to be for the 2023 Hatchetfield Big Bang (which I host!), but I got swamped and wasn't able to work on it for long. It's a timeloop story about the (fictional) President of the United States, Howard Goodman. And also he's in love with the mysterious military man, General John McNamara. I'll probably eventually get around to finishing and publishing it. Someday.

About: This fic is from [claps] 2017! I always meant to get around to finishing it... It's called "Prism of Light," and its a Zero Escape soulmate AU, the one where you start seeing color when you touch your soulmate for the first time. It's Light/Aoi (Snake/Santa) and I only got about two chapters in, but it is on AO3 for the curious. (It's not very good.)

At age nine, Max saw a picture of Mothman and decided that was what they wanted to be when they grew up, and they've been working towards it ever since. Their desire to discover the bizarre often led to them believing too easily — luckily for them, Lizzie was always there to balance the scales. While she also had a keen interest in the weird, she was more skeptical, thinking things through more thoroughly before deciding whether or not to believe them. Together, the two had spent their years of friendship exploring the island town of Saint Hazel, following every possible lead in hopes of finding any scrap of strangeness in the sanitized town. They'd had their fair share of successes, even if it was never anything as grand-scale as Max hoped.

About: The actual title of this one is "The Conspiracy Gang," and it almost belongs in the "mix of both" category. It's an original work that is based on a roleplay of Starkid's Hatchetfield series done by me and my friends; the main characters are/were our OCs for the universe, but I love them so much I wanted to write a version of their story on my own (with my friend's permission, of course!) Max is my character, and Lizzie belongs to my good friend @cosmic--static! I haven't gotten that far into writing it, sadly, because I've been so heavily focused on Auberon. But someday!!!!!! OH ALSO ITS A COSMIC HORROR STORY FORGOT TO MENTION LMAO
