i have a few popular recipes i wanna try, so im kinda trying out new stuff and preparing.
i thought about going vegan a few times, but i really love a lot of animal products :( i go through a huge cheese block in a week 🐭 and also use cream in almost every dish.
but today im trying a cauliflower alfredo pasta!
ingredients:
cashew nuts
plant based milk (i chose cashew here also)
your pasta of choice (i love the ones with a hole in the middle, but would recommend flat types for this dish)

you wanna start with soaking nuts in boiling water till its cooled down to room temperature (it took mine about half an hour) and boiling the water. then, while you have time its ✨cauliflowers time✨ i was hoping there is a cauliflower emoji :c
i roasted previously cut cauliflower with garlic using some olive oil. i used salt, paprika, saffron, cardamon and turmeric (curcuma). it looked really good but i forgot to take a picture T_T
before blendering the sauce you wanna check your nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) so they are soft and squishy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
i have a very inconvenient blender so my sauce is pretty patchy :( i really want a new one, but dont have the money for one rn. you blend your nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) milk and roasted cauliflower together, add salt if needed (mine did need some lol) and pour it over your pasta. you remembered to cook it right??
all in all it’s a little nutty ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for my taste, maybe i used to much nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and i was thinking “this would be fire with some parmesan…” i hope the next recipes are more suitable for my taste.

Organic Curcuma Caesia Roxb. Extract Induces p21 Expression and G0/G1 Cell Cycle Arrest in FaDu Oropharyngeal Cancer Cells
The oropharyngeal cancer is the popular medicinal uses of Curcuma caesia Roxb. (C. caesia) include the treatment of cancer. We aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic potential of C. caesia extract in oropharyngeal cancer cells. Total phenolic compounds and secondary metabolites of C. caesia extracts were determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu and UPLC-QToF-MS methods, respectively. Cellular analyses were carried out in an oropharynx cancer cell line (FaDu) and in a control keratinocyte cell line (Hacat). The cytotoxicity assay was carried out by reduction of 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT). Flow cytometry was conducted to evaluate cell cycle progression, and cell morphology was evaluated using Giemsa-May-Grunwald stain. Analysis of the intracellular Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), Mitochondrial Membrane Potential (MMP), and the expression of p21, Bax and cytochrome c were conducted. The extract demonstrated dose-dependent cytotoxic activity in both cell lines. Increased retention was seen in the early stages of the cell cycle (G0 /G1) in FaDu cells. Moreover, FaDu cells showed strong alterations in their morphology that suggested cellular apoptosis and there was increased expression of p21 in that line. The treatment with C. caesia extract shows no significant differences in ROS, cytochrome c or Bax in both cell lines. C. caesia extract reduces cell viability and induces apoptosis in FaDu cells without deleterious effects in Hacat cells. To our best knowledge, there has been no other study that described such effect in cancer cells due to the treatment of organic C. caesia extract.

DALL'INTEGRAZIONE ALLA NUTRACEUTICA
Un percorso a sostegno del nostro sistema immunitario
Con questo, si apre una serie di articoli dedicati alla nutrizione, e soprattutto a come curare il nostro organismo con gli intergratori: "bergamo risvegliata" è ispirata al grande lavoro del Professor Giuseppe Maffi, biologo nutrizionista, studioso di nutraceutica e nutrigenomica, nonchè consulente nel settore cosmeceutico e biofarmaceutico.
Ma intanto...Che cos'�� la nutraceutica?
E' un alimento o comunque una parte di sostanze che fornisce benefici medici e opera una forma di prevenzione e di trattamento verso alcune malattie (anche definita "neary tretament").
Vi sono vari tipi di composti nutraceutici, che possono anche essere definiti come "integratori alimentari" e si presentano in forma innaturale come le capsule, le pillole, oppure le fiale di sostanze naturali.
Qualsisia prodotto di composto nutraceutico deve:
-essere di origine naturale;
-apportare un beneficio comprovato;
-essere riproducibile
-non curare nulla, ma prevenire ed essere affiancato ad una dieta/terapia.
ESEMPI:
-prevenire malattie croniche, e ritardarne l'invecchiamento e favorire la longevità;
-esempi di prodotti nutraceutici sono le bacche di goji, il caffè verde, la ganoderma, il riso rosso fermentato, estratti di mela annurca, la berberina, l'omega3 e l'omega6 (presenti nell'olio di lino e in quello di pesce).
L'integratore alimentare è un prodotto che integra la nostra alimentazione laddove la nostra alimentazione manca di qualcosa.
I nutraceutici supportano gli alimenti e sono inquadrati dalle varie norme internazionali, e rientrano nella categoria degli integratori alimentari.
Per ciò che concerne l'ASPETTO IMMUNITARIO... (fonte dell'indagine "Kantar", commissionata dall'Unione Italiana Food su dati raccolti a gennaio del 2021): vi è stato un cambiamento in quanto alla sensibilità relativa alla modalità di acquisto degli integratori, che agiscono sul sistema immunitario "agendo" sullo stress, sull'ansia e sulla qualità del sonno.
Inoltre...Perchè rinforzare il sistema immunitario?
Per due "componenti", quella
-INNATA che agisce sulla pelle, sulle mucose, sulle ciglia, sul liquido lacrimale e sulla saliva, ovvero: sui cinque sensi
-ACQUISITA che coinvolge gli agenti patogeni e sui linfociti, in particolare B e T.
I nutraceutici ritardano/inibiscono l'indebolimento causato dalla mancanza di esercizio fisico, dalla mancanza di sonno (specie se si dorme meno di 6 ore per notte) e dalla mancanza di idratazione.
Oltre a quelle sopracitate, altre cause di indebolimento del nostro sistema immunitario sono i consumi elevati di alcoo, il fumo delle sigarette e l'aria secca, oltre alla notevole assunzione (circa 100 grammi) di zuccheri.
ALLEATI del sistema immunitario sono:
-le vitamine A, D, (+K2), C, B6 e B12, acido folico;
-i minerali come lo zinco, il ferro e il selenio.
Tra gli alimenti, antivirali naturali sono le spezie aromatiche (peperoncino, rosmarino, basilico, zafferano, zenzero e curcuma) inoltre erbe come:

🤦♂️Ci vuol pazienza... Ogni giorno qui su IG vedo Fotografie che hanno su di me lo stesso effetto di quello che hanno su un talebano le vignette di Maometto di Charlie Hebdo 😂 "Preparazioni" che meriterebbero il lancio del piatto alla Bastianich spacciate per Pasta alla Carbonara 🤐🤐😝 Che poi, in fondo, che male vi ha fatto questo piatto per fargli subire tutti questi oltraggi 😑? Perché chiamare con un nome così evocativo di sapore, profumi e consistenza qualcosa che - nella migliore delle ipotesi - ha in comune con una carbonara solo l'uso dell'uovo? Mappazzoni a suon di mini frittatine, parmigiano, panna, crostacei, speck e ogni altra maledizione o spezia possa abbattersi sulla povera ricetta indifesa... E già so che c'è chi dirà : "ma a me piace così" e che infatti ha tutto il diritto di mangiare quello che gli pare, è sacrosanto🤝 ! La cosa invece diventa criminale quando si dà a questo piatto "de fantasia" 😂il nome di "Carbonara". Poi la foto la vedono persone che magari non conoscono la ricetta, che so, magari all'estero... E vai di repliche alla Jamie Oliver e l'entropia aumenta 💪🏻. Poi vi lamentate che al ristorante (e pure vicino Roma, figuratevi che succede aumentando la distanza 🤦♂️) vi ci ritrovate Panna e/o Curcuma 😁 e prosciutto cotto ! Ma che ci vuole, dico io, a esercitare la propria sana e produttiva fantasia lasciando in pace la povera ricetta romana 🤷♂️? E invece no ! È accanimento come quello sugli animali di specie protette e in via d'estinzione🐼. E l'effetto sarà più o meno lo stesso. Basta tempo e noncuranza e tra qualche decina d'anni tutto sarà così confuso e relativo da far dimenticare l'origine di una ricetta iconica. Come capita per tante altre cose ben più importanti 🤨 Vabbé, finito lo sfogo da visione mattutina di immagini vietate ai romani deboli de core 😬🤪, vi lascio con un bel piatto di mezzi maccheroni alla carbonara "come se deve" e, se volete, alla ricetta con tutto il sacrosanto procedimento sul Blog Che dite?
