Thoughts on Are You the One (spoilers through ep 25)

It is such a relief to have the big reveals out of the way. I love an amnesia trope but it was getting a bit stifled

That said, I was expecting a much bigger payoff for Miantang learning Cui Xingzhou is her "husband", for Cui Xingzhou learning Lu Wen is his "wife", and for Ziyu's royal identity. The scenes were kind of muddled and small.

I'm happy with their post-breakup dynamic, where Liu Miantang seems to be doing normal-to-well and Cui Xingzhou seems depressed. (That's what you get, falling in love with someone you're lying to!)

I like emperor! Ziyu a lot. He and Liu Miantang still have this weird ambiguous relationship but he generally seems decent

I really like his new empress. I think the wedding night scene leaves me feeling a bit hopeful for the two of them as a couple. He's clear that he doesn't have romantic intentions toward her; she's maybe a little stung but not resentful; they agree to be allies; they eat dinner together. Leagues better than the scenes where the guy excuses himself or doesn't even make an appearance and the girl is left waiting all night.

Obviously as 2nd ml and 2nd ml's 2nd (3rd?) choice of a wife, they both are at high risk to turn Evil For No Good Reason. If that doesn't happen, I think they have strong potential to eventually be happy together.
