Check out my Etsy!
I'm sad to admit I've always been cursed at finishing chapters. Can't tell you how many times I just threw down a gradient over some dialogue and said 'scene'! And half the time the dialogue is bad.
Anyway, "Your Favorite Season" or chapter 2, has officially concluded!
I'm almost completely done drawing up chapter 3, coloring just takes a long time. I know people are wondering what's going on with Simon, but I promise you, the wait will be worth it. Or, I hope it'll be worth it. There's some super important storytelling build up that HAS to happen before Simon returns, and you'll see why, when it happens. He's guaranteed to return in chapter 4, at the very least! And I think you'll like what I got planned.
Also sorry to the Adventure Time tags. I uhhh. I can't stop drawing.
Oh! Also I'm doing two conventions, back to back. Las Cruces comic con this weekend, and Colorado Springs Comic con next weekend! CSCC in particular is a madhouse, and back to back shows are INSANE and a lot of work, so updates will probably be way slower for a little while. I'll probably be drawing pages during my downtime, but coloring takes more focus. That, and the next chapter needs new backgrounds, too.
Anyway, if you happen to be going to either of those two events, my table is under the name 'Crayon Queen Creations', so feel free to stop by!
Now that all that dialogue is out of the way, enjoy!

Calling anyone looking for a full-time teaching position in Composition & Rhetoric (with some literature options available in addition to your primary Composition position). Columbus State Community College is hiring for its English Department.
I’ve been a full-time faculty member of the English Department for twenty years and can answer your questions about the position and college if you’re interested. Columbus, Ohio is a wonderful city to live in, too!

Intention to Participate in Jr's Furry Game Jam 2023
Hi there, Meow here!
Heads up: If you are a La Trobe University student, membership to the CSCC for this game jam is still open for you until May 30 (AEST). Please join our Discord server and get in touch with us for more information: https://discord.gg/PWSA95E
(As always, we are not affiliated with La Trobe University, and this collective is run independently by students.)
We'd like to give a heartfelt welcome to everyone who has decided to follow along with us on our journey as Chisholm Student Creative Collective. As this collective is being formed, there is a general understanding that our first game jam will be considered a trial run for us. At the end of this jam, we will perform a self-evaluation and use what we've learnt to determine the viability of this collective. We have our fingers crossed that we go well!
This is the part where we announce that CSCC's first project will make its debut as a submission for Jr's Furry Game Jam 2023. This jam works well for us because the time allotted is generous (an entire month) and there won't be rankings, which is important, considering so far none of us have participated in a game jam before. You can view the jam's page below.
That's all for now, this post is really to let everyone know ahead of time that "Hey, we exist, and we're actually going to do something!" instead of leaving our social media blank and making a surprise appearance. :)

The CSCC are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Super Saloon race at Silverstone on Saturday (1/6/2024). The DAF V8 was created by Tony Hazelwood and was one of the original Super Saloons, seen at Goodwood FOS 2009. We hope to have a report from Silverstone in our July issue of Classic and Competition Car magazine. Free to read at www.classcompcar.com

Personalized Approaches to Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma Treatment: Targeting Tumor Diversity
Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cSCC) is a heterogeneous disease characterized by diverse clinical and molecular features. Personalized treatment approaches that take into account the unique characteristics of individual tumors have emerged as a promising strategy to improve treatment outcomes and patient survival.
Understanding Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cSCC) is a type of skin cancer that arises from the malignant transformation of squamous cells in the epidermis or its appendages. It encompasses a spectrum of disease presentations, ranging from localized lesions to metastatic tumors with varying clinical behaviors.
Tumor Heterogeneity and Molecular Subtypes: Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cSCC) exhibits considerable heterogeneity at the molecular level, with distinct genetic alterations and signaling pathways driving tumor progression and metastasis. Molecular subtyping studies have identified different subgroups of cSCC tumors based on their genomic profiles, providing insights into tumor diversity and potential therapeutic targets.
Precision Medicine in cSCC Treatment: Precision medicine approaches aim to tailor treatment strategies to the specific molecular characteristics of individual tumors, allowing for more targeted and effective therapies. By identifying actionable mutations or biomarkers, clinicians can select therapies that are most likely to benefit patients while minimizing the risk of treatment-related toxicities.
Genomic Profiling and Biomarker Identification: Advances in genomic sequencing technologies have enabled comprehensive profiling of cSCC tumors, revealing recurrent mutations in genes involved in cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and immune evasion. Biomarker identification efforts seek to identify predictive markers of treatment response and prognosis, guiding treatment decisions in personalized medicine.

IJMS, Vol. 24, Pages 16428: Knockdown of Simulated-Solar-Radiation-Sensitive miR-205-5p Does Not Induce Progression of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma In Vitro
Solar radiation is the main risk factor for cSCC development, yet it is unclear whether the progression of cSCC is promoted by solar radiation in the same way as initial tumorigenesis. Additionally, the role of #miRNAs, which exert crucial functions in various tumors, needs to be further elucidated in the context of cSCC progression and connection to solar radiation. Thus, we chronically irradiated five cSCC cell lines (Met-1, Met-4, SCC-12, SCC-13, SCL-II) with a custom-built irradiation device mimicking the solar spectrum (UVB, UVA, visible light (VIS), and near-infrared (IRA)). Subsequently, #miRNA expression of 51 #cancer-associated #miRNAs was scrutinized using a flow cytometric multiplex quantification assay (FirePlex®, Abcam). In total, nine #miRNAs were differentially expressed in cell-type-specific as well as universal manners. miR-205-5p was the only #miRNA downregulated after SSR-irradiation in agreement with previously gathered data in tissue samples. However, inhibition of miR-205-5p with an antagomir did not affect cell cycle, cell growth, apoptosis, or migration in vitro despite transient upregulation of oncogenic target genes after miR-205-5p knockdown. These results render miR-205-5p an unlikely intracellular effector in cSCC progression. Thus, effects on intercellular communication in cSCC or the simultaneous examination of complementary #miRNA sets should be investigated. https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/24/22/16428?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

Variable Outcome of Immunotherapy in Advanced Multiple Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinomas in Two Patients with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is a major complication of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) that has high morbidity and mortality rates and unmet therapeutic needs. The aim of this study was to evaluate the molecular pattern of cSCC and the clinical course of immunotherapy in 2 RDEB patients with multiple advanced cSCC. Clinical course and disease staging were evaluated retrospectively. The tumour tissues were subjected to immunohistochemical staining. DNA from the... http://dlvr.it/Sr1FtR
