I got good news i finally got some other games that i want it on my atari vcs 800 today like wild dogs, block'em sock'em: 7800, cosmic panic, crystal quest: 7800, asteroids deluxe: 7800, circus interstellar, tanks, but no tanks, frenzy: 7800, annihilation, timeline mission!, tower of rubble: 2600, amoeba jump: 2600, retro game quest: 2600, failsafe: 7800, dare devil: 2600, tyre trax: 2600 and lunar lander beyond i thought i didn't have any digital money left or maybe it's another atari vcs store glitch but this time it's a good glitch that it purchase success i don't have another new visa gift card yet i still want it to go to the atari vcs store to see if it would let me purchase some of more i want it or not i'm happy i worked it let me get some more games i missed out on!

[ Fireflies ] - Also known as lightning bugs. Get it? … Maybe you want to catch the show, or maybe you want to catch the bugs. It’s strange though - are they a new, more resilient species, perhaps? It is the middle of winter after all…

It's a strange, unexpected thing to come across, and Andrei pauses at the edge of the field, staring in wonder. Even Cranberry seems to be momentarily silenced in the face of such a novel sight, gentle specks of light dancing in his wide eyes.

Perhaps he'd been too distracted, for when Andrei next turns, he realizes there is a young woman standing nearby, even though he'd never heard her approach. "Ah... good evening," he says, making a gesture towards the field, "This is a rare sight, is it not? In my homeland they only appear in early summer."

It is then that Cranberry starts squealing again, and between the pale moonlight and the soft glow of the fireflies below, Andrei could see a teardrop crystal glistening against the other's dark outfit. "Would you care for an exchange of our brooches?" he asks, looking faintly amused as he produces one of his own crystals from the chain he'd managed to collect, "It seems my pigeon finds these more enticing even than the fireflies."

Yuzu finds herself passively observing the flying lightning bugs now, moreso thinking heavily on the fates implied by her previous encounter here. The life of a smaller creature...if it is truly shorter than her own, then does she have the right to capture, or even keep watch over them?

Another unfamiliar voice snaps her out of imminent brooding, this time belonging to a man with blonde hair. There is also a small bird at his side.

Her gaze follows his gesture, overlooking the bugs again. "Indeed. I fail to recall a similar sight being natural from my home."

Her focus on the scene gets cut off by the bird's squeaking, startling Yuzu for a moment as she returns to see what is wrong. They seem to be...pecking toward her brooch? His explanation follows suit with her own analysis.

"You mean my crystal? I do not mind...is it for them?" Yuzu pulls off her teardrop crystal to exchange, always happy to make friends even while away from the public ballroom. But before she moves in to collect the other's own crystal, she leans down slightly to match the height of the pigeon, holding crystal forward as offering.

"Feathered friend...I go by Yuzu," she says to his pigeon. Animals have always been of some interest to the girl...although she never expects them to understand her in return. "Do you have a name?"

The second kiss comes as no less of a jolt than the first, but there is something even more tender to it, and Andrei finds himself relaxing into the raven's gentle touch, until they pull away to look each other in the eyes.

"Yes — of course," he replies to the other's offer, aware of how breathless he sounds. With fingers that fumble slightly around the pin, he takes his own teardrop crystal, glistening under the light of the chandelier, and fixes it to Naesala's brooch in exchange for the feather the other offers.

Cranberry's squeal is what truly rouses him from the trance, and he turns, stroking the young bird with a finger before pulling away.

"I trust you'll take care of him, for a little." It is a request he poses often enough to the other, now, to be comfortable doing so. And more than the trinket, leaving Cranberry with the raven is an ironclad promise that he will return before the end of the night. And he does intend to. (You can't run, can't be scared of this.) All he needs is a moment to himself, to think about what had just happened.

As he walks out of the main hall and towards the gardens, Andrei realizes the warmth that had settled in the pit of his stomach remains with him.

Perhaps he truly can't help but cherish this feeling, after all.

The man sounds like he is in a worse state than Andrei is over this unexpected turn of events — and honestly, there are plenty of reasons Andrei could imagine being the cause. It's dark and cramped, their situation was suddenly forced upon them... But it is Cranberry that Harken asks after first.

"Yes, he is a pigeon," he replies, and then adds, because it had been important enough for Harken to ask, even in such an obviously distressed state, "He's harmless." Indeed, while the young pigeon has mostly quieted in Andrei's hand, he remains motionless, talons clutching tightly to his owner's palm and quivering in the abject darkness.

He squints at the darkness before him, trying to make out a shape and failing. Is this closet so sturdy that there are no gaps anywhere, through which slivers of light could enter?

"My name is Andrei. I—" They lurch suddenly, then, and whatever he'd intended to say melts into a noise of alarm instead as he throws out his hand, landing upon the other man's chest to break his fall. Fingers close against something small with hard edges that comes loose easily in his hand. Harken's brooch?

It's easy by now to recognize the feeling of a teardrop crystal atop his brooch, but this is probably the furthest from an appropriate time to propose a trade. Still, Andrei keeps it in hand for now.

"Apologies," he says stiffly, for the unexpected contact. He tries to shift back after the movement settles, and finds the back of his calves pressed against the side of the closet, even as the other man remains too close for comfort.

"Please, take a step back," he says to Harken, "I am already against the wall."

Odd, because he'd distinctly felt like he'd been lurched forward...

how do you choose titles: haphazardly! and usually with help from friends.

do you outline: usually i’ll scratch out a few lines of dialogue to get a sense of where the scene is going? and then from there i can just start writing. for longer stuff i do more formal outlines, yes :0

how many of your stories are complete? s...seven? ao3 says seven. more on tumblr, probably. i’m going to guess and say. fourteen. is that right??? 

how many of your stories are in progress? ok i’m only going to count stuff i’ve posted about or else we’d be here all day. there’s the one where taako and kravitz get drunk married in goldcliff... there’s my adventure bang fic, which weirdly enough also involves accidental marriage? i promised a sequel to prince of thieves a long time ago and i have like five different notepad docs saved with stuff for that, but i’m still having trouble making it work... same for requiem.

OH ALSO THE GAME. the game does not have a name yet but i’ve been calling it crystalquest on all relevant documents. that makes five? five.
