⭐️ Miko and Mamizou

Muses pairing headcanons

I've not exactly been subtle about the fact that my Miko is interested and/or down bad for Mamizou but why not touch upon why? Mamizou is just a pretty lady, ya know, but Gensokyo has several pretty ladies. The thing about Mamizou is more a matter of her actions.

In Urban Legends in Limbo Mamizou shapeshifts into Miko and effectively drains much of the hype she was building in the human village. That action is just so audacious that it really caught Miko's attention. Like she's never had someone have the nerve to impersonate the crown prince before especially not blatantly right in front of her. To her that marked Mamizou as someone who is different from most other people and that difference really interests her.

Plus she sees herself as a leader among Gensokyo's humans and Mamizou as a leader among youkai. In Miko's mind the two of them as a united front could hold an even greater power base in Gensokyo (and assuage Byakuren's fears that Miko has bad intentions for the youkai and thus save her some trouble in the process)
