Made some little doodles for my motion design class. I dressed myself up as a Cryptozoologist, more like what I think they would wear LOL.

I think, for the future, when it comes to cryptid hunting I'm like. I'm going to have my own house (preferably a nice little cabin/cottage near the woods) but im also going to have a trailer.

like, when I do decide to go cryptid hunting/exploring (which wouldn't be too often, but still something I do) I can just. pack the essentials (like things in the fridge, for example), as well as make sure things are turned off+unplugged and go off.

also I'm definitely getting a shit ton of weird/cryptidy looking stuff, mainly for the trailer. like, lots of well known cryptid stuff, including souvenirs ofc, but also just things that are funky creatures. along the lines of the double mouthed cat planter I saw via the lesser known cryptids blog. I think that'd be neat! also a book to record any findings or strange occurances (I could guess most of which would end up being jotted down in my phones notes app)

Alien Infeysion 14: Cat-Sìth x Arboreal Abomination

11/27/22 - Witness was driving a hearse down a heavily forested area when a shrub appeared to approach the car and attempt to pry open the back door. Witness attempted kicking off the bush-like entity, and the creature responded by gently pushing back. Witness believed the entity was not attempting to harm him, but playing a game of some sort. Hours passed, and mesmerized by the strange being witness did not notice the passing off time. By daybreak the entity was gone, but upon returning to the funeral home several black conifer shrubs have been found planted around the old building.

several of the birds from birds of america are unidentified today. In order, Cuvier's Kinglet, the Carbonated Warbler, the Small-headed Flycatcher, the Blue Mountain Warbler, Bartram's Vireo, and Townsend's Bunting:

interestingly someone photographed a bird near identical to Townsend's Bunting a few years ago; a dickcissel with weird colors:

so chewing on cryptidzoology and how its morphed to be exclusively mythical and strange creatures which makes people forget the very real facts that the Okapi used to be a cryptid and how the Thylacine went extinct because of it's cryptid status.

like its a actual category of animal and yeah the weird ones are in it but also everyone acting like animals have to be strange to be cryptids both ignore that fact that the Madagascan pygmy hippopotamus used to be a cryptid. it was an animal we couldn't prove existed until we found bones of it and science progressed enough for us to DNA match it (or in this case not match it to anything).

anyway Mothman is a cryptid which means he is a species of large humanoid moths and if we don't act rather than being proven to exist like the okapi they will go extinct like the madagascan pygmy hippo or WORSE there is only one mothman left and it will be male and we would know nothing about it and would simply have to watch as it dies of old age like the thylacine.

Ford, if you had gotten into the college of your dreams, how do you think your life would have been different?

"Hm... well. I'm not totally sure how much would change, if Stanley never sabotaged my machine we probably never would have had that argument that kicked him out. Probably wouldn't have met Fiddleford in college, or gotten that big grant that kicked off my career in cryptidzoology in the first place." He got lucky when he got that grant, it took many sleepless nights studying and avoiding social events to receive it but it was worth it due to how much he was able to achieve from it. "I probably would've never gotten that grant if I had been properly accepted into West Coast Tech, or really gotten into the study of the supernatural in the first place."

"Probably wouldn't even have time in between working for a bunch of big guys in suits designing gadgets of varying quality, or coding vital technology that could shape the future in it's entirety." There was a pause as he thought even deeper about it, if he had never gotten that grant, moved to gravity falls, and studying the oddities of the world, he never would've lost his mind because of his muse.

"I guess a lot more would change after all. Go figure."
