I didn't expect this when I started and yet here we are. Nor did I expect Kit to adopt Fox, but here we are
☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
"Easy, vod'ika." Fox catches the shiny as they fall through the wall, not quite used to phasing yet and getting caught by their pauldron. Any worry though is eased by the brilliant smile crossing the vod's face.
"But ori'vod, there's supplies!" Fox just chuckles as he's dragged through the wall on the other side of the hall to emerge in the loading bay, only to stop short by the amount of crates. The vod'ika, '57 he believes unless they got a name recently, is standing next to him and radiating smugness at the sheer amount of supplies in front of them.
Krate wanders over, a datapad clutched protectively in his hands. "Sir, this is a full supply drop. We actually have bacta". They hadn't had bacta since the 6th month of the war. Hadn't had a full drop in even longer.
Fox was good. He knew his smuggling ring worked as well as it could. It certainly wasn't a lot but it kept his vod'ike from starving and a bare minimum of medical supplies in the medbay. But this? Nothing had changed on his end to be able to bring in a drop like this and the shiny next to him was far to smug.
Glancing at the shiny practically vibrating next to him, Fox raises an eyebrow. "So '57-"
"It's Kit, actually!" Interrupting didn't seem to faze the kid at all. If anything, they even perked up a bit.
"Alright. Kit, did you have something to do with this?" Fox gestures to the room that now looks overflowing after seeing so little in the past year. "Not only are you too smug about this for my liking, but you somehow knew about the drop before I did. And Krate always tells me first."
Fox suddenly realized why his batchmates always said that his smile tended on the unnerving side when he was planning, and subconsciously summons the half-full caf cup from his desk. If he's right about this, he's never going to be able to tease Cody over Rex's adoption ever again.
"Because I did it, sir. Or at least me and my batchmates. Your smuggling rings have always been top of the line and we took over when you left Kamino. It just made sense to build on top of your existing one once we got deployed, and with two out of the four of them ending up under a quartermaster, it was a lot easier for me to help get supplies."
Fox just sighs with a small smile and downs the rest of his caf. "Alright, ad. I'm sure that this wasn't the last thing you or your batch has done. Why don't we head to my office and go over how you all have helped us, hmm?"

Let me know what you guys think! This is my first time writing for Fox.

:Incoming Transmission from: Coruscant Guard Holding ward:
We need any available medic to head down to the Holding Wards and tend to our local vent cryptid. Di'kut got into a brawl with someone from Bacara's lot and our on-hand medics are tending to the the Marines who jumped in.
- @corrie-guard-tumbler
"Medic Bite, on route, Over"
Bite stands quickly from where he'd been sat talking with one of the other medics in the mess.
"I've got this one. Flag it to the medbay in case things got extra rough, and I'll comm you when I have the facts."
Bite turns on his heel and starts running full pelt towards the holding wards. He'd only met Tumbler once, but after memorising his file, he was already trying to sort out a plan in his head.
As Bite skid around the final corner, he was greeted with the sight of injured brothers and very tired medics trying to stop someone from continuing the fight.
Turning to the trooper on duty at the entrance, he asked where to find Tumbler and was pointed to a dazed and injured looking vod in the back corner of the room.
Weaving around the clones still scattered around the space, Bite finally reached the corner Tumbler was pressed into.
"Hey vod, it's Bite. What happened? What do you need?"

Date Bite - Starting Excerpt
Dead Girl Walking
Andromeda “Annie” Meadows, a day past twenty one, was a dead girl walking. And running. And chasing. And tearing out a guy’s jugular with her perfectly manicured nails. A pale blur of auburn curls, and ruddy teeth. Ripping and tearing. A whirl of bubblegum and blood, in a torn band-T.
Just a lot of red, and a hunter dead.
So, Beatrice Baker, amateur cryptid-seeker, ran.
Sweat and emotion pour from her, in equal measure. Texts from her bandmates, Corri and Ines, flit in her pocket. Asking where she is, and how the scouting went.
She ignores them.
The door, marked 402, slams shut, and latches with a click. As her back slides against it with a thud. Ashwood splinters, a broken stake, still digging into her palm. Sweat plastered strands of blonde, veil a mixture of panic and regret as her eyes flicker gold. Bitter bile lakers Beatrice’s tongue, as she catches her breath, and stumbles forward onto her mattress. Fingers unsteady. Pulling the still burning blunt from her pocket, staring at the empty ceiling of white, she takes in a hasty breath, and lets it go.
“Smoking again?” It comes out as almost more of a statement than a question. As Annie Meadows, blood splattered band-t and borrowed denim jacket, crouches in the open sill. Chestnut curls dancing with the manilla curtains and pale weekend lights. Green eyes. Wide and deceptively doe-like, as they gleam in the dark.
A vampire.
The enthralling image, the sharp grinned specter of Beatrice's best friend, breaks; as Annie falls onto the bed, bounces, rolls, and slams forehead first onto the floor, with a resounding thwack. “FUCK!”

1, 4, 5, 12, 19, 31, 34, 35 please :)))
Ooh these are great, thank you!! 😊
1. who is/are your comfort character(s)? Currently the Lockwood & Co gang and I think they're part of the permanent team now, alongside Morse (Endeavour/Inspector Morse) and Ned & Chuck (Pushing Daisies)
4. which cryptyd being do you believe in? Nessie! I'm half-Scottish so the Loch Ness Monster has been on my radar since before I really knew what cryptids were, and while I know a lot of the sightings were hoaxes I think scientifically they could have existed
5. what color are your eyes? Sort of a muted blue-green, but with rings of yellow flecks that sometimes make them more green when they catch the light. A friend once referred to them as 'sunflower eyes' which I adore 🌻
12. what kind of day is it? It's a lovely day here, warm and sunny with a nice breeze! For me though it's just a chilled out day, I had a bass guitar gig at work last night so now I'm super tired but feeling very positive, it was my best one so far!
19. imagine we’re at a sleepover, would you paint my nails? Oh absolutely! I have a whole box of nail varnishes you could choose from - there's a lovely deep shimmery green I think you'd suit, or a gorgeous silk pinky-purple
31. what type of music keeps you grounded? Folk music is very grounding for me, especially anything by The Corries. At uni, before I discovered the wonder of noise-reducing earplugs, listening to Loch Tay Boat Song kept me from getting overwhelmed in crowded social situations.
34. is there a song you know every word to by heart? Oh there are so many 😅 I listen to music almost all the time and tend to sing along too so I just absorb lyrics to things. I think the one I've learnt by heart most recently is I/Me/Myself by Will Wood
35. what’s your timezone? GMT/currently it's BST ☀️

I love all the headcanons for Fox being a big bro to the Corrie Guard troopers but I also think of him as a sort of cryptid
Like you’ll be an average Corrie going about night patrol and the only time you see Commander Fox is when he’s hunched over the sink shoving shredded cheese into his mouth alternated with sips of some horrific energy drink conconction
And at that point it’s just best to back away slowly and let the Commander work

“in a barber shop quartet with some crackheads but we just making cryptid noises out of sync”
yea unless you have actually smoked crack (which i doubt winter corry briea has) then making jokes about “crackheads” is anti-Black af. y’all really think im just calling out these people cause i dont like them its literally about how winter and them are anti-Black af and use social capital deflect away from those facts.

Heads Up, 7 Up / Writing Chain
Tagged by @aetherwrites @akindofmagictoo @cryptid-s-wips and @talesofsorrowandofruin Thank you all so much!!
I guess this is our first introduction to the main characters of Never Coming Home
“Do you have any theories?”
Lavina made a non committal, half asleep sort of sound.
“You know, about why we are stuck here?” Corrie added when no one answered.
May, all curled up with her head tucked into Sloane back groaned at the noises keeping her awake, but responded in turn.
“I mean yeah, we’ve thought about it, but we don’t have anything solid.”
“Aliens.”
Joni snorted behind her hand and the other girls stiffiled laughter.
Sloane leaned her head back and did her best to hide her own amusement behind a glare. “Oh really. We are stuck in a freak town, with freak people who are losing their freak minds, but you are right aliens is to far fetched.

some headcanons.
-- Corry appeared in the Underground when they were thirteen-ish.
Their world has some differences from the ‘original’ Undertale world; it is randomly glitchy, Alphys and Undyne have been together from before the final human came, and for some reason there is an entity better known as Comic Papyrus (or CP. or Cap) in the place of two normal skeletons.
There is no evidence of Corry’s existence before the Underground ---- no papers, no known relatives (or no relatives that’d care to make themselves known), not a single trace anywhere that would tell you anything about their origins. That has made them a sort of a local cryptid. (Together with their altogether wild ways.)
Corry has been raised by Cap and, to a slightly lesser extent, the Dreemurrs. They have been officially adopted and bear their last name with pride, though their bond with their guardian Cap is somewhat stronger.
The six human souls in their world have been given robot bodies. They now live on the surface. It is not ideal, but it is better than being stuck in a jar. Corry knows the green soul, Louis ---- he runs a bakery in their town.
There is no Asriel/Flowey. For some reason, if you tried to speak those names aloud, all that would come out of your mouth would be random gibberish.

@nostalgia4light I straight-up thought that was Bigfoot and was like "oh good, Local Corrie Cryptid Fox is finally finding his people" 😂🤣

It's a wonderful night -- Fox and his new friend find a third member for their group: an elderly wookiee who is a bit confused but is thrilled to hang out with the Kids again.

Plot twist. Mulder gets a job at Oxford teach psych. Scully also get a job there part time teaching at the medical school He and Scully move there. Live in an unremarkable flat or cottage. Peter Morgan writes for the show Gillian is close to home. We get a season of Mulder and Scully watching British Bake Off and Corrie. On weekends they go look for cryptids and crop circles. They drink tea and eat scones and atths - A LOT of sex. cause there is no darkness anymore.
Fully on board with this. Happy to outline the monster of the week* episodes that could feature in this new 8-episode UK-based event series for our showrunner!
(*After all, colonisation has by now failed once and for all and CSM is finally, truly dead - having been killed by Mulder, Scully, and Reyes.)
1) Mulder and Scully travel to Wiltshire to investigate some strange lights seen at Stonehenge on the night of the summer solstice. Mulder tries to convince Scully that while they’re in the area, they should try to use their expired credentials to get themselves into Glastonbury Festival. It doesn’t work but they hang outside the gates like losers just to listen to Radiohead’s headline set from a distance.
2) Mulder and Scully travel to London, investigate the vampire of Highgate Cemetery amid fresh reports, and kiss while riding the London Eye at sunset.
3) Mulder and Scully travel to Cornwall after recent appearances from the Beast Of Bodmin Moor, and extend their travel down to St Ives where they enjoy ice cream and try (and fail) to surf.
4) Mulder and Scully travel to Suffolk to Rendlesham Forest, after the lights of “Britain’s Roswell” incident start reappearing for the first time in decades. Although they disagree on what their investigation shows, they have fun, and agree that they’ve finally had “a nice trip to the forest”.
5) Mulder and Scully travel to Wales, after reports that the Lady Of The Lake of Llyn y Fan Fach has reappeared and seduced a young soldier who was training on the surrounding mountains. They climb Pen y Fan while in the area and take a selfie at the highest point of the southern UK.
6) Mulder and Scully travel further west in Wales, after Mulder gets wind of the legend of the lost sunken city of Cantre'r Gwaelod. Scully enjoys admiring the dramatic coastline while Mulder quizzes locals about the lost city’s last reported sighting.
7) Mulder and Scully return to London, after Jack The Ripper serial killings start up again. Mulder believes that it’s the original killer’s ghost committing the crimes. Scully takes them to the Tower Of London and to the gates of Buckingham Palace, thanks to her new curious interest in the British Royal Family.
8) In the series finale, Mulder and Scully travel to Scotland on their 20th anniversary to find the real truth behind the Loch Ness Monster legend. On the way back they go via Loch Lomond, where they rent out a lodge by the water where they get to enjoy their anniversary.

Since there is no information on the kid’s life before the Underground, Corry is considered a cryptid by certain people. Reddit threads can be found where people argue whether they are an alien, a robot made by monsters to protect them, an angel from the prophesy, a monster in a really good disguise, an illuminati member, a secret government agent or a spirit of the mountain. There are even creepypastas about them.
Needless to say, Corry is terribly proud of the fact.
