i also feel like they dont bombard u w a million in-game popups/notifications/ads before u can do anything in the game... they have a few but it DEF seems like less than some other merge games out there but i also have adaway for my phone so it COULD be tht, take w a grain of salt

im unfamiliar with divinity original sin so I had to quickly read the wiki. looking at the dos2 models for the elves, I like the unusual texturing they have for their skin, it reminds me of leaves. And they do seem pretty freaky. are there many elf characters you encounter? And if so, do you have favorites?

I have run into a fair few Elves, a fun spread of the forest elf tropes and city elf tropes but none really stick out to me as a favorite. It’s just the over all baselines of them i find so fascinating.

Cannibals that eat flesh to honor the fallen, they get the memories of the dead by eating their heart. I think their textures are like that because when they die they’re buried and their bodies grow into living and talking trees. Overall I just like them because their WAAAAAAAAY more interesting overall than Dragon Age or DND elves.

Danny is travelling around solving unsolved murders and it is infuriating the local heroes cus each of them have went through training from either batman or a batman approved trainer and nothing about the way he says he solved the cases add up but the killer confesses and how the fuck did he solve them

Notable ways he has solved cases include the blood "told" him he heard the knife drop he sensed the killers "vibe" he followed the footsteps of the spirits he asked the victim he smelled the killers scent and the killer stabed him and he "recognised his handie work"

Danny meanwhile is just doing a cross country trip and helping ghosts rest and families find peace by talking to ghosts and giving that info to the police

God i read your tags like YEAH EXACTLY. Granted while my family isnt outright transphobic or awful theyre just. Theres so many of them and Id have to keep correcting them. You haven't done anything but thank you for getting me back into gravity falls!! I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain about it. Do you have any favorite characters? Favorite specific scenes/moments that stand out? Did you watch it when it aired <- asking because it's interesting to compare my feelings/thoughts on the show from when I was like a teen to now as an adult and just curious if you're in a similar boat 💚

I was gonna say ‘I can’t say I have a favorite’ but that’s be a lie. Even when I was like 12 breaking my neck to watch the show on my massive crtv it was the bitch Bill. I love how weird and fucked up he is, the “have a head that’s always screaming!” Might have been the reason he stuck in my head so hard but also he was like my baby gateway into fucked up media.

My absolute favorite scene for years now was the portal scene. “Grunkle Stan? I trust you.” Hits so hard. It’s always hit like a truck to me, and now with the Book of Bill recontextualizing a lot of the show it puts a whole other layer on top of the differences between the younger twins vs the Stans.

I absolutely watched it when it aired. I was one of those kids that had the tv schedule memorized to a t and would do everything in my power to make sure I could watch it when it aired.

I know the decision to have Julian's parents have him augmented was made on the fly but imo its pretty obvious from early on that Julian has Family Issues because he avoids talking about his family like the plague and I think they should've incorporated this into the Julian and Sisko dynamic right from early on because I think it would've made for some really compelling stories and moments and could've set up a REALLY interesting Julian and Jake dynamic which they kinda started to do but never fully went for
