How You Can Help by Supporting Transplant Crowdfunding Campaigns
While modern medical science continues to save and protect lives, one of its most groundbreaking methods in the treatment of life-threatening conditions is undoubtedly an organ transplant. However, such transplants come with a tremendous cost, making them unaffordable for most low-income families in India. Yet, as the demand for transplants climbs, so do the requisite dollars. Therefore, crowdfunding has been a breath of fresh air, actually equipping any ordinary citizen of India to contribute to life-saving organ and tissue transplants.
Not only does it change the recipient’s life, but it is perhaps centrally changing the overall healthcare ecosystem. Here’s how your support can work, the intricacies of financing transplants, and why crowdfunding for organ transplants is more than just a charity-it is an investment into human life.
The Significance of Crowdfunding for Organ Transplants
Giving one organ, kidney, liver, or heart is expensive. These procedures, for many in this country who hail from some rural or economically challenged backgrounds, are a luxury few people can afford. Many government schemes and health insurance cushion some of these costs but are woefully inadequate; it is upon the families that the balance usually falls. Crowdfunding bridges this divide and allows communities to generate the required amount for organ transplants.
The imbalances in organ transplantation in India concerning transplant needs versus the availability to pay for such transplants assume an added burden on NGOs undertaking the responsibility of funding kidney transplants in India and other essential procedures. Crowdfunding allows one to donate to meaningful, potentially life-saving efforts.
How Crowdfunding Works for Transplants?
In recent years, crowdfunding platforms have been helping people and their families overwhelmed by medical bills. People contribute any amount of money, which, together, can cover the cost of an organ transplant. More often than not, organ transplants are crowdfunding campaigns focusing on one specific procedure: a kidney, liver, or heart transplant. The goals are always clear, and there is a regular update on the patient’s status.
This success also totally depends on public awareness and participation. A transplant crowdfunding campaign directly finances the healthcare cost of the medical expenditure involved in the organ transplant. In India, NGOs work to help financially challenged patients with organ donations to avail scalable solutions reaching communities nationwide through crowdfunding.
An organisational outlook of many organ transplant foundations in India is therefore centred on creating an awareness of the importance of donations as gifts. Crowdfunding campaigns take this further, making the financial aspect more manageable for those needing access. For instance, an NGO helping with liver transplants can set up a dedicated crowdfunding campaign targeting funds specifically earmarked for a particular surgery. This money helps not only raise the amount required but also to conscientiously spread and raise awareness about the critical importance of organ donation.
The Role of NGOs in Crowdfunding Organ Transplants
Some NGOs are indispensable in filling the monetary gap between what is available and what is needed to treat some underprivileged patients by organisations like Transplants India. Many of these organisations are raising awareness about organ transplants in Mumbai and India. Still, they are also becoming voices for those families that may not understand precisely how to get financial support for organ transplantation.
For example, an organ donation NGO in India may hold a campaign exclusively targeted at fundraising for heart transplants for patients who may otherwise be unable to afford it. By co-fundraising and international donors, these organisations ensure that even the most economically stratified people get a chance to live. In organ transplant crowdfunding, NGOs can ensure that funds are allocated appropriately while the patient’s needs are addressed efficiently.
The most significant organisational challenge is creating a culture of sustained giving. While many can donate once, such a campaign’s repeated contributions sustain its results over time. NGOs can better elicit repeat donations through emphatic success stories and real-time impacts.
How You Can Make A Difference?
You do not have to be a millionaire to support a transplant fundraising foundation. Every single contribution contributes significantly to fundraising for people in need. Each campaign is a community effort where the collective power of individual donations leads to life savings. Whether one is donating for a liver transplant, a kidney transplant, or even a heart transplant, the contribution made makes all the tangible difference.
For instance, helping an NGO that ensures patients have their kidneys transplanted will directly affect whether a campaign succeeds. Perhaps your contribution is the tipping point that will allow a patient to receive a life-saving transplant. Similarly, by financing campaigns for financial aid for heart transplant candidates, you can be sure that someone suffering from heart disease will get a second chance at life. These are not abstract concepts-they are real human beings whose lives depend on the dollars and cents they receive as support.
Broader Effects of Organ Transplant Crowdfunding
Beyond the individual patient, supporting transplant crowdfunding campaigns impacts the healthcare system. Crowdfunding campaigns not only raise money but also sensitise people to the need for organ donation and transplantation. An increased registry of organ donors will translate to more people donating organs to help ease their demand.
With organs donated by living donors in Mumbai contributing to saving many lives in the city, crowdfunding can play a role. Contributing to such campaigns enables a culture that understands and accepts organ donation and even celebrates it. This mindset is vital, especially for India, whose organ donation rates have always been meagre.
Also, in a liver transplant fund-raising campaign in India, one can see ripples from the donation of one in fundraising to donate. People are significantly inspired when they see the results of donations, for example, when they hear recovery updates from the patient or the fact that some transplant operations are successful. They will continue donating to the crowdfunding campaigns:
How Transplant India Impacts
Transplant India is an organisation that cares for the financially oppressed people of India for urgent surgeries, especially those of liver transplant patients. It attempts to help those who, because of circumstances beyond their control, cannot afford to have a transplant, in most cases by congregating communities and donors through focused crowdfunding campaigns that unite both into healthcare professionals.
Transplant India ensures that people needing lifesaving surgeries receive proper care by raising awareness, soliciting funds, and providing direct financial assistance. With their campaigns for liver transplant financial help or financial help for kidney transplants and other crucial surgeries, hundreds of families across India have thus been catered to.
By supporting organisations like Transplant India, you contribute to a more substantial movement towards healthcare for all. Every little bit counts, and through these campaigns, you can make the dream of a healthy life come true for someone in need.
Your Role in Supporting Transplant Crowdfunding Campaigns
Supporting transplant crowdfunding campaigns is not merely a donation but a promise to save lives. Through the funding you are giving, you are affecting the people who otherwise may not receive the care they so vitally require. Be it a contribution to the charitable trust for a liver transplant in Mumbai or any similar donation to any transplant organisation in India, your involvement counts.
Crowdfunding for transplants is a collective effort. Through these campaigns, you can relieve the families’ burden, raise public awareness of organ donation, and contribute to a more equitable health system. Through organisations like Transplant India, we can make organ transplants accessible to all.
Your gift might save somebody’s life. Giving is not just a charitable gesture but the possibility of providing hope, health, and a future to another.

There's only one week left on my kickstarter for FOUR books!!!
I really pushed a lot of boundaries on the page layouts and presentation of these books, they're all GORGEOUS and I am SO proud of every single one!
Tumblr media
Each book is self contained and 125-175 pages, so you can pick whichever sounds most exciting to you if you're not ready to jump into all four right off the bat!
Pirates, Summer Camp, Ghost Hunting, and Victorian Vampire Hunters!
But, the main charaters do also have a developing romance over the course of the series!
Tumblr media
it has been a TON of work to edit these into books and fix up some of the art and writing, but I promise I could not be happier with the work I've done!
Tumblr media
Gay time traveling vampires solving supernatural mysteries. what's not to love! ONE WEEK LEFT!!! BACK IT NOW!!!!!!!!!! or don't it's ok but IF YOU WANT THEM!!!! time is running out!

THE SCARLET ENVELOPE - illustrated book on KICKSTARTER
The crowdfunding campaign for my book is available! We've already reached the 90% of the goal! Check the campaign for the beautiful rewards I'm preparing. This book brings together 29 illustrations that I meticulously hand crafted for a story of spies, secrets and charismatic characters set around a mysterious party. The artwork is accompanied by texts in English and Spanish (more languages in the stretch goals!) narrating the story.
If you enjoy Edward Gorey, Erté or "A Series of Unfortunate Events", this may interest you! (as these were my main inspirations for this project!)

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but I had just finished the latest tsv episode and. well first of all I wanted to congratulate you on the absolute stellar performance of getting drowned. Very disturbing (overwhelmingly positive)
I can't stop thinking about why Rane would get in the water with a shark. You knew he tried to drown himself before and now you stand before him (the other Faulkner, his warped reflection, the bride to his trawlerman) and he's asking you to get in, it's fine, the water isn't even that deep here!
The faith! The trust! Like Faulkner said, it's eating them all but he's the only one awake to hear the bones crunch. I truly believe Rane expected him to do something unhinged in that pool, but either trusted him enough to believe the katabasian bait or thought themself physically able to overwhelm him should the need arise. Except they didn't know he's done that before! How could they? And they still tapped his arm even when they knew he had murdered Mason.
The anglerfishery of it all.
This is the best death for Rane I could imagine. They're one of my favourite characters: a pragmatic fanatic, so terribly faithful and treacherous at the same time, utterly fascinating in their devotion.
I wish that when Faulkner looked down at Rane through the mirror of the surface, he finally saw something other than his own face. I don't think that's the case though, and that, too - him taking away their personhood during the last moments of their life, is part of Rane's tragedy. This is his revenge - for killing Carpenter, for making him into a hollow mouthpiece, for pulling him out of that tank. And they're not even allowed to die as Rane - they die as Charlie, as Faulkner 2, as Mason, as sister Thurox. Terrible! I love it!
Sorry for the ramblings. I just really, really enjoyed Rane. Once again congrats!
No need to apologise, I'm certainly not going to complain about people messaging me to be nice about my performance! Thank you so much 💖
Honestly I think Jon deserves so much praise for Rane - all his characters feel so rich, even if we don't see that much of them "on screen" so to speak. It's easy to feel like even the relatively small roles in TSV are fully realised, fleshed-out people with rich inner lives, even if we never really see that side of them. And I think he's made a show that invites you engage in that if you want to, so that you can approach Rane and ask what their motivations are and why they might make the choices they do, and have fun chewing on that.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, and again for being so kind about the performance! I loved playing Rane, can't wait to revive the character in The Tequila Verses, the upcoming TSV spin-off sit-com set in Rane's crab-themed, beachfront cocktail bar they open after surviving Faulkner's attack.

The Eureka Kickstarter Pamphlet
Tumblr media
It’s not much of a secret that my career and future financial stability is riding on the upcoming Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy Kickstarter (April 10th-May 10th) being successful and hitting as many stretch goals as possible.
If you would like to help a disabled person have a viable career, and see more work from myself and A.N.I.M. in the future—well, first of all, back the Kickstarter on April 10th, but secondarily, spread the word so that others can at least know about it and may back it themselves.
Besides just telling people about us and reblogging our posts, a really helpful way for you to spread the word would be to go to this link here (it’s the same link as the one for downloading the free demo) and download the EurekaPaphlet3pg-1 PDF. It’s a foldable pamphlet you can print out and give to anyone who has an interest in TTRPGs at school, at work, at a con, etc. You can even print out a bunch of them and leave them at your local card&hobby store. These pamphlets even include QR code that will give anyone scanning them access to the free Eureka demo. Also, since it’s a PDF, you could also just send it to people online without actually having to print it out.
(Make sure when you do print it out, that you print it out double-sided!)
It’s a nice pamphlet with some of our best art on it, and does a good job of getting right to the point of what Eureka is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If any of y’all could hand this out and/or show it to people, it could mean a world of difference for making Eureka and A.N.I.M. a viable career path for someone who struggles to hold down any “normal” job.
Set a reminder for the Kickstarter launch here.
See a preview of the Kickstarter campaign here.
Join our Patreon for just $5 and get perpetual updates on the in-progress prerelease version of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy and several adventure modules.
Visit our website or go to our itch.io page (follow us there too so you'll get notified when the game fully launches) for more information and a free demo! Also, in case anyone didn't know, the free demo isn't just a small chunk of the game anymore, it's almost the full game. Like, everything. If you previously downloaded the demo that kept most of the game hidden, go download it again to get access to all of that hidden stuff and more!
Interested in actually playing this game, and many others, with the developers? Check out A.N.I.M.'s TTRPG Book Club, a club of nearly 100 members at the time of writing this where we regularly nominate, vote on, and then play indie TTRPGs! At the time of writing this, we are playing Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy, and sign-ups are closed for actually playing it, but you can still join in to pick up a PDF club copy of the rulebook to read and follow along with discussion, and sit in on and observe sessions! There is no schedule obligation for joining this club, as we keep things very flexible by assigning multiple GMs with different timeslots each round, to try and accomodate everyone! This round, we had over thirty people sign up, and were able to fit in all but one! Here is the invite link! See you there!

(Forgive me for being a dick and blazing a promotional campaign. I know we all come here for motiveless fandom-based shitposts, but I am but a mere independent creator and I must obnoxiously spread my word wherever the blue light shines. 😔)
Hey, folks! My company, Cotton Candy Flavor Media, and I are currently working on our first ever animated film. It’s called “Get Yeast To It”, and it’s a surreal existential dark comedy about a version of the afterlife where humans are judged by cells of yeast based on whether or not they ever ate bread. We’re currently running a crowdfunding campaign for the project so that we can raise the money we need to achieve our yeasty dreams, which is no small feat for indie artists in the midst of this truly shitty time for the animation industry as a whole. If you all could like, share, and donate to the campaign at the link below, it would go a long way in helping us plucky creators succeed— and you could have the opportunity to receive an unpackaged potato in the mail, which I know is really tempting for a lot of you. Thanks, everybody, and let’s get bread-y to rumbleeeeeeee!!

Razz's Fundraiser List V5
Palestinian fundraisers that have reached out to me in the past few weeks, as additions to the previous ones I have shared:
@sabahfamily shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, appears legit. £8,161/£50,000 goal.
@husmalserr shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, appears legit. €1,059/€42,500 goal. Also have seen @help-alserr-family sharing this fundraiser.
@springbutterfly37 shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, is vetted by association, appears legit. $2,128/$45,000 goal.
@abooooods-blog shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, appears legit. €1,271/€40,000 goal.
@familyetaf1234567 shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, appears legit. €2,223/€50,000 goal.
@amanyayyad74 shared this fundraiser. Has donation protection, appears legit. €337/€50,000 goal, low on funds!
---
And an update on a few of the fundraisers from my previous versions of this list!
Safaa's (usernames @safaa18mero and @safaamm, vetted here) fundraiser found here was at $7,325/$75,000 as of Aug 13, 2024. It is now at $15,620 raised of $75,000 goal as of Sep 19, 2024.
I've kept in touch with Safaa and helped her get an eSIM for her phone, and every day when she sends me a message my worries are temporarily assuaged that she is still alive and okay (relatively speaking). I worry every day those messages may cease due to a sudden death or tragedy - missiles hit a camp near where Safaa's family is staying, her family narrowly avoided the blast but hundreds of other unfortunate souls weren't so lucky.
-
@hilles-abed (his blog has been taken down unjustly! His fundraiser is very much legitimate!) shared this fundraiser. I shared more about this fundraiser here. This fundraiser has donation protection and appears legitimate. $547/$35,000 goal as of Sep 9, 2024, and has $1,063 raised of $35,000 goal as of Sep 19, 2024. Low on funds!
Abdul Rahman Halas is husband to the martyred journalist Alaa Al-Dahdouh who tragically died due to a missile strike, while Abdul and their child Karam managed to survive but not without injury!
-
Mahmou Abh Swierd (@mahmoudswierh2, account got taken down unjustly!) fundraiser shared here. Vetted (account in vetted post is mahmoud's prev account @mahmoudswierh). $9,308 CAD/$15,000 as of Aug 30, 2024. $11,498CAD raised of $15,000 goal as of Sep 19, 2024. Over halfway funded!
Mahmoud Abh Swierh is a 17-year-old from Al-Nuseirat in Gaza raising funds with help from a relative in Canada. The fundraiser is less than 4k away from its goal!
---
Reminder that I am doing art for charity incentives to help these funds! Share proof with me that you've donated to any of the funds I've shared in this post or my previous posts tagged with #razz's fundraiser list, and I will draw something for you!
