Making some leaves to put on the hems of the shawl

The tutorial i found ended up being great for this. Simple enough once you understand it and it makes an entire leafy vine. Will say though, i am 98% sure i missed a step somewhere, but im too far deep to do something about it.

Books, crochet and studying

After handing in my portfolio’s, I completely folded and have had to rest for a couple days, taking it easy, which has been nice!

Studied some more for psychology

I took some walks and listened more to my audiobook

Started crocheting a leaves garland, finished that and I am now crocheting stars, also for a garland

Started Victorious by V.E. Schwab, and I am really liking it

Went to the library again this morning, after finishing the DVD of The Magicians Season 1. Picked up Stars and Smoke by Marie Lu, so hoping to start that after Victorious!

Another tripointed leaf, a wonky asymmetrical experiment, and one pretty good leaf. Those tripointed leaves are really super tricky to make. Yeesch. Only looks this good because of the wonders of blocking.

So I took a bit of an unplanned break from crocheting after finishing that monster of a granny square blanket, but I finally got caught up on some tv shows and decided to finish up a few small projects while I was at it…

So! Here’s a fun little garland I made with scrap yarn. Idk what I want to do with it, so it’s hanging around my window for now

today, something a little out of the ordinary: puppets!

i'd posted these dudes to patreon ages ago, but i think it's time they see the light of day over here as well. i'm a big fan of puppets and i enjoy crochet, so when i finally realized i could combine these things it was a game changer. i've made a small handful of these fellows now, but unfortunately they're hard to display and harder to photograph, so they rarely see the light of day. however i often need something to keep my hands busy while i'm in meetings or class, so i keep on crocheting them. these two are a dragon and some kind of floppy-eared monster.

i work without a pattern and with absolutely horrendous form, so they're not the prettiest pieces of crochet work out there, but that adds character

fun numbers: my vest is 19,792 stitches, took an estimated 70 hours, materials were $111 nzd and it weighs 810g

next project: returning to work on father philip who is currently just a forehead

Test fitting the leaves, was a real shot in the dark if I'd be able to even get them on there. I was worried they'd look a bit wonky too, but after draping it over my standing fan I think it looks nice. Glad I kept with it, cause now I'm inspired to add a few more things to the embroidery I was planning to do. Really can't wait to finish this, beyond excited!

Side note: forever not looking forward to weaving all the ends in but it's gotta be done ;-;

Halloween Kris Dreemurr stim board!!!

The art in the middle is by @akanemnon!!! I was looking for a cool, spooky Kris and this is exactly what I needed! The amount of detail in the full drawing is just amazing and Kris just looks sick as hell. Please let me know if they're uncomfortable with me using their art :)
