Finished deadlines, reading and being creative

I handed in my portfolio’s yesterday and now have a week and a half to focus on my psychology test. So, so happy to be done with it and now fingers crossed my teachers see it the same way!

After I handed in my portfolio’s, it was time to rest and clean up!

Took a walk and listened to an audiobook

Finished A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid. Loved it and gave it 4.5 stars!

Watched three episodes of Agent Carter season 2, it’s such a comfort show

Revised psychology for 30 minutes

Journaled a LOT, I made like 4 spreads in three days?? But I am really enjoying jt again, and after a period where I couldn’t seem to bring myself to make a single spread, this is a nice change.

Also cleaned my entire room, my desk is finally clean and organised my craft supplies again

The upcoming days will be revising psychology for about 45 minutes every day, being creative, library trips and hopefully a lot of reading!

Nearing deadlines, rest and mental health

The past two days have been a reset, even with my deadline nearing on monday. My body physically started reacting to stress so yesterday I studied psychology and made (hopefully) the last changes to one of my portfolios.

I slept in today, waking up at 9:45AM

Took a long walk, listening to the audiobook ‘The Lost Bookshop’ by Evie Woods

Started editing both portfolios again, I am so very nearly done, and I am so ready to just hand it in

Making small progress on my cross stitch

Started a lettering piece yesterday, but found myself being stuck. I have doing lettering for a few years now, but being mediocre at something you really enjoy doing and have been doing for a while is making me want to study it more intensely so I can get better but getting discouraged when I am not getting results. I know it’s practice, tracing, copying, make your muscles remember but it doesn’t make it any less hard for me. Same for drawing. But I really want to make a point this year to use the nice materials, experiment, TRY STUFF.

Grey days, studying and movies

It has been grey, foggy and cold here, which is lovely study weather. Dreamed so weirdly/bad I thought I was insane until 10am. However, it’s probably the stress and tiredness for my deadlines :)

What I did:

Studied psychology for an hour this morning, so that’s positive!

Went to the library and browsed the local bookstore for journals, which made me very happy

I am working so hard on my two portfolio’s I will celebrate so hard on monday when this is all over

Took three walks so far of about an hour, which was a lovely change of scenery from the dining table

Watched Little Women (2019) on tuesday and Pride and Prejudice (2005) yesterday. Very much enjoyed it, both books are on my tbr list! I had never seen them and desperately needed something cozy

A bit of a different post, but relevant nonetheless. These are three projects I did for a class. We had to make a plan with what we wanted to learn the upcoming period, so I decided to go for a deeper dive into graphic design. I made four different illustrations, all in a different style, two of which are shown here. Aside from that, I made a stylesheet to accompany a brand I made up, but had so much fun making. Wish I had more time to flesh it out, but alas.

Today, I woke up at 7:30 and started studying for psychology which I spent 70 minutes on. After that, I took a 45 minute walk and went to work on my portfolio's. I am starting to feel the stress of the deadline, but I have a plan! Logging off my laptop for the day to relax, read and finish watching Little Women (2019).

My week spreads for the upcoming two weeks, and the last two weeks of my second period.

I did it! I am sore from standig for about four hours, but had our event today, it was busy, enjoyed it more then I thought I would, even on a SUNDAY (really, who thought of that). I woke up at seven AM this morning, I am completely tapped and not doing anything the rest of the day, besides some journaling maybe, if I am feeling up for it. For tomorrow, hopefully I will feel a lot better so I can start the last week of working on my portfolios and continue studying for my Psychology test.

Hi, hello, bonjour.

An overview of things that happened this week:

The cold I’ve been having finally got to me and I missed a class I really wanted to attend, but I did work on the project this morning so hopefullt that makes up for it

Got feedback on a part of my portfolio and my teachers were very positive! Now I want the event on sunday to be over so I can have that class done with. Event managing is not for me :)

I crocheted on the bus this week for the first time! Scary, but will be doing that more. Currently making a pair of fingergloves because I am always cold

Also took multiple walks, despite not feeling the best, even if they were short ones!

However, the classes I did go to were very helpful and I did enjoy them! Psychology is going to be a hard exam but I started studying today and have three weeks before my test.

My planning has been done for next week and I am ready to work on everything. Also thinking about how I want to plan next semester, working on some ideas for that.

A week filled with snow, bullet journaling, cross stitching, reading and doing fun things.

Saw a Formula 1 car in a museum and was very excited

Added to my cross stitch, made some mistakes, but that’s all part of the proces

Read 2 books

Did some minimal work on my portfolios, one of which I submitted the first draft of this morning because I was so done with it

Also did a lot of planning for the next couple of weeks!

Tomorrow I have two classes, but going through a cold and that time of the month means today is a rest day. Going to journal some more and will be making a 2025 bingo card with some goals!

It’s winter break!

Finally two weeks off and boy did I need this :)

Saw Wicked, 5/5 stars, no notes

Did some work on both my portfolios I need to hand in in three weeks but there are things I don’t get so that will have to wait

Worked on some doodles for said portfolio

Worked on my cross stitch and learned I definitely should have done two strands and not three but we all learn I guess

Read a medical thriller and didn’t really like it, the ending was so confusing

Had two christmas dinners, they were lovely! Also a brunch yesterday and another tonight!

Been binging Peaky Blinders for the last two days

TLDR: My portfolios are a big thing and I haven’t done nearly enough work on it this period it feels like but I probably am doing more than my classmates, also rest is very important!

December 18/19, 2024

So, this week was pretty much about making as much progress as I could before the holidays (even though I’ll have to do a lot then as well).

I finished summarising the last two chapters for my psychology class yesterday

I did nearly four and a half hours of working on my portfolio today, working on my branding and finishing two courses about writing

I handed in our script/timetable for my events subject this semester

I started a new cross stitch project, the House of The Dragon sigil, very excited about it although it’s somewhat hurting my hands

Also finished the book ‘Always the Almost’ by Edward Underhill, which I gave 3.75 stars on Storygraph, it was very enjoyable!

For the rest of today hoping to get some cross stitching or crocheting done, maybe taking a walk if the weather decides to clear up a little, or curling up with a book or my current watch, the first season of the magicians!
