Could I get a matchup?

I'm a 5ft tall straight woman with freckles (like a lot) (I'm pale as heck and I don't tan I just burn and then get freckles) , green eyes, medium length shaggy dyed black hair with bangs (naturally brown). Short and chubby with an hourglass figure.

I am a Sagittarius (tho I don't really belive in that sort of stuff) and have a mediator personality on the Briggs scale.

I love to bake, sew, crochet, draw, etc... Basically anything where I get to create something. I love seeing an idea come to life. I'm constantly making things and I like to fidget with anything I get my hands on (meaning I have a habit of breaking stuff) (often)

Baking and cooking in particular because I like to give things to people and it's a lot less weird to randomly gift cookies or a meal instead of a plushie.

I also keep freshwater aquariums and love the process of building tanks and decorating them. I especially love shrimp because they are adorable. And plecos.... I love my babys

I also keep insects and a gecko. I love them all. I make little hats for my gecko because he tolerates me too much..

The first one is my favorite ugly boy, Groot. Second is Carlos who hates my face. Leo is the gecko, he is precious. Domino is the Betta. And ki-ki is my one eyed old woman.

I constantly crave affection (but will never admit to that) I really love cuddling, and am definitely touch starved but anyone who knows that has figured it out themselves. Because for some reason my brain thinks I don't deserve any of it. I really want to just be held one day. big strong man.... Or just a man really

for you it feels slightly obvious that Halsin would be the best choice. (don't think i didn't see that last part /lh)

your menagerie already speaks for itself! he would most certainly be at home in that environment!

the scent that i'm getting is jasmine and monoi oil, there's a song called "forever" by the little dippers, and that's the vibe i'm getting. very sweet and dreamy!

Halsin is a very affectionate guy, he would all but melt away all needs for any other touch as well. (get onto hugging people!! it helps manage stress!!!)

for food i feel like a nice salmon with lemon and herbs du provance. salty, refreshing, and a yummy spring and summer meal. (if this makes sense my brain makes weird connectionsss)

i think for y'all it would be a craft date, this could mean going to a fabric or wool store. or sitting in a shopping cart in a home depot while he looks for silly home renovation things to do.

i feel like it could also be a lot of parallel play with soft music, doing your own thing together.

overall this sounds really cozy.

There’s a few minor things I’d change next time (make the arms and tail a little longer, sew the head a little further back, add whiskers) but I’m really happy with Petunia!

FavorDay 1: Share Your Goal

I have 20 projects I’m planning to start and finish this month, including (but not limited to) Pokemon Pillows, Legend of Zelda Gloves, and a Makkachin Plushie! I’ve finished two projects so far (A Golden Snitch, and a Betta Fish), so I only have 18 left to go! 

Day 2: Inspiration

I draw inspiration from all sorts of things. I love playing games, reading comics, watching films, etc to find something from there that I can create. Most of my items revolve around those themes  in general.

Day 3: How did you learn your craft? 

I mainly crochet now, but I was taught how to do the knit stitch when I was 7. Beyond that, I learned from books or by watching others until I was in highschool. From there I learned how to do more stitches, and I learned to make plushies. 

When I started collect, I had an idea for an amazing blanket that I needed to make. Like, absolutely had to make it! But knitting would take too long for my tastes, so I vowed to learn how to crochet. I learned mainly from Youtube and books for crocheting.

This blanket took 3 years to complete, with a LOT of pauses in between. It’s 9ft x 9ft and weights a ton. You can see more pictures here.

Day 4: How long have you been knitting/crocheting? 

I’ve been knitting for 17 years, and crocheting for 6 years! My first job was actually as a Knitting/Crocheting instructor at a craft store when I turned 19. I kept the job for 5 years, and no longer work as an instructor, but it was really rewarding! 

Day 5: Any Crafting Heroes?

Anyone who does it. I mean, it’s a hard thing to learn, and it’s kind of underappreciated most of the time. I’ve made so many scarves and hats and things for family that I never see again except when I look in their closet and its shoved into a heap in the bottom corner of their closet. Anyone who gets badgered for a new scarf or hat or whatever and then it not ever be worn is... idk heartbreaking. You’re the real MVP

Day 6: Favorite Books/Designers?

I don’t really look at books or follow any designers...! I design my own stuff 99% of the time.

Okay after a fruit/animal plushie based on art by citrusvoid*, a crocheted lemon armadillo, and possibly a betta fish, I don’t know what to make next. The purple alpaca centaur is still on my list but I’m having a lot of fun making my own patterns and I think I want to continue for a while So, is there anything you’d like to see me make a plushie pattern for? It can be an animal or a monster or a creature or, like, pretty much anything? I went on a run of food/animal combos for a few weeks a few months ago, and I made a bunch of giant fruit for a while, so I have no idea what my next theme will be lol  *who I am not tagging because this post is a to-do list for myself I’ll probably reblog an annoying amount of times for anyone tagged in it, but who is an awesome artist! And who I will definitely tag and credit in the finished product

My current to-make list, which you may notice does not include the things that were on my to-make list a week ago. It’s a known problem lol - finish lemon armadillo (probably tomorrow? I either messed up my thumb or am allergic to something, but either way crocheting isn’t happening tonight) - a teddy bear but it’s an opossum (next after lemon armadillo. I have ideas and like everything but the head, ears, and tail patterns already made. I’m stealing them from my bunny pattern) - a betta fish? If I can decide on fabric color or colors and which fin configuration. There seem to be a lot of different betta fish fin options, but I pretty much know how I’d make one and it wouldn’t even be that difficult (probably) just a lot of top stitching - a penguin! Gotta admit I have no idea how I’d make one. Might do some sketches tomorrow once I figure out opossum face construction. Suggest your favorite kind of penguin for me to base a plushie off of for inspiration lol  - a variety of tiny hedgehogs (kinda want to make a purple one?) - something else? Please send suggestions, I’d love to draw a bunch of plushie pattern options. I’m in a pattern designy kind of mood
