In s1, I can remember them staking out that one woman’s house to wait for Azazel to show up to give her baby blood. At a certain point, we can’t judge him or Dean for doing things that are expected of them in the genre of show they’re in (Supernatural is a cop show with monsters -> Cop shows have stakeouts.) (At that point, you’d have to start saying stuff like “well, they carry guns around all the time, and that’s bad because they might shoot someone,” or, “why do they keep doing torture on the torture-interrogation show.”)

The making out with her bit does seem iffy out of context, but then you watch the episode, and the girl is the one who goes outside and initiates it. Sam is the one to break off the kiss because he’s still mourning Jess. So? What? Was he supposed to use his psychic powers to dodge her lips?

And yeah, like you said, a helping of misogyny to smooth it along, but it’s not like both boys getting kisses for saving the day is an uncommon occurrence.

The ways I can see it, from my least liked to most:

Fizz doesn’t know Oz’s true form; Oz has gone to great lengths to hide it knowing Fizz’s backstory.

Fizz knows of Oz’s true form and Oz tries to keep himself in check around Fizz.

Fizz knows of Oz’s true form; though initially afraid, both have worked so that Fizz is comfortable around Oz regardless of form though Oz does still control himself.

Also, is each sin gonna have a specific animation thing? Bee got lava lamp, Oz got fire (more than others have). I’m not a creative, I haven’t a clue what the others’d be.

Number 3! Dog with no back legs reminded me of my dead girl! It nice! Though cynic in me is saying that one is also albino just so it’s noticeable to the audience. Have some faith in us, Spindle! You could also put focus on it in other ways — hell it has more focus put on it when it’s the last one eating the guy on the catwalk & the one leading the pack.

Show him hugging it at the end of the ep instead of the pets just all disappearing once Fizz is kidnapped (and saying they’re fine in the subtitles; if it’s important info you want to say you say it in the ruddy ep. I, who was excited to properly watch an ep first time through, opted to turn off way before because the jokes being put there weren’t landing for me).

Oh ah thing! Small change to the apology I’m choosing to believe was done by mistake. Blitzo says something like “I lost something too”. If this is meant to be a genuine apology, rephrase to something like “I focused on different priorities”. It’s still an explanation that keeps him talking about his actions and his responsibility. That’s what an actual apology is about.

Aight aight final thing, what’s up with the “supremacist” comment? I haven’t rewatched stuff in a while and I’m not the best analyst but Striker always seemed to be more “take the royals down a peg or ten” than “imps are better than everyone else and should rule instead of the current royals”. I really hope this doesn’t bother you, but can you give some tips on choosing protocores and upgrading them? (If you don’t want to answer please don’t feel like you have to, some people get pissed when others ask about protocores for some reason). I’m a Zayne main who joined around late June so my knowledge on protocores are pretty weak; I just put random ones and hope they work. But since I’m advancing more on this game, I want to get serious about the combat. I know how to get them, but I never know which attribute to focus on with the protocores and I struggle to upgrade them and what to upgrade them with so I’m a complete noob at this.

I’m writing this as a Zayne main who isn’t a whale, so most of my limited 5* cards are not ranked up (with dupes) at all, and most of my stamina comes from free sources. But with the cores I focus on, I’ve gotten to stage 120 on open orbit, stage 140 on Zayne’s orbit, and I get around 25-32 stars in the senior hunter contest (depending on if they have a blue/red stage)

Other people have their own strategies but this is mine, so feel free to experiment with what works for you

First, I want to share a tip about farming for cores because this was implemented fairly recently and it really makes upgrading cores easier

When you're mass farm cores, you'll get a list and from here, you can mark them as trash for upgrade fodder (red circle) or you can lock them so you won't accidentally trash the good ones (blue circle)

When you mark them as trash, they will show up at the top of your list when you go to upgrade your cores, so this is really handy

As for which stat you should prioritize, this varies from person to person. But from my experiences with other games, I prioritize stable attack strength over crit, which can be unpredictable. Even when you build a crit team, it scales from your attack strength, so you'll still need a solid attack to build off of

Each core has a main stat that gets stronger with every upgrade level and four sub stats, one of which randomly upgrades every 3 levels

Since you're fighting against the clock, you'll want to only pay attention to what gives you more offensive power. That means, if I see a core that has a main stat of HP or Defense, it goes into the trash immediately. You don't want to waste your resources on these since you'll get HP and DEF as sub stats on cores that aren't completely offensive anyway

That being said, two types of cores have fixed main stats. The diamonds will always have an HP main stat and the spiky ball will always have an ATK main stat. You can't do anything about these, but you can still look for the offensive stats that you want

My priority list is as follows:

Attack + Attack Bonus

Crit Rate + Crit DMG

DMG Boost to Weakened

Situational offensive stats that change depending on your companion/enemy, like Expedited Energy and Oath Recovery, etc

Ideally, I'd want both ATK and ATK Bonus on the same core. The same could be said with Crit Rate and Crit DMG

While building up my base ATK, look for ATK on main and both ATK and ATK Bonus in their sub stats. If it also has a Crit stat, that's an extra bonus. It's a further bonus if it has DMG Boost to Weakened

Once I have a good base ATK, I look for cores that have either Crit Rate and Crit DMG as their main stats. Depending on how many Crit sub stats you already have, you might not need very many Crit cores

Example:

Right now, I'm running 2 Crit Rate cores and 1 Crit DMG core for my Zayne 140 team. The rest of the cores I'm using have ATK main stats (except for the diamond cores). I'm ALMOST able to kill the boss and the reason why I can't kill it is because my critical hits aren't occurring often enough To fix this, I'm planning on replacing one of my ATK cores with a Crit Rate core, so that I'm running 3 Crit Rate cores on this team So right now, all my stamina goes into farming for a core with a Crit Rate main stat, but I also want to make sure it has ATK stats so my base ATK won't take too much of a hit.

Once you know what your priorities are and what kind of stats you need, you need to figure out which ones to use as fodder

I'm not gonna lie, this is the worst part of cores unless you really like numbers

My method is basically just pick your best ones, equip them to your team, and go through all your cores one by one. It's easier when you go by category and colour (on this page below) so you can test how your stats change when you equip them

Once you've identified your strongest cores, make a mental note of its stats. So when you farm for more cores, you will know if the new ones are better or worse than the ones you already have, and you can mark them as trash or lock them to keep them

I like to save the ones that already have 3/4 of its sub stats so you can already see its potential. But if a core has a sub stat of like ATK 100 and still hasn't gotten all its sub stats, I'd upgrade it a few levels to see how it turns out. If it gets trash stats like HP and DEF, it immediately goes in the trash. If it gets better stats like ATK Bonus and Crit, then I got lucky and found a good core

These are examples of cores that I would give a chance to and upgrade them to level 6 or 9, depending on how much I want to gamble with these. If by level 9, they still have pretty crappy stats, I just trash them

These however, I would trash. The green core has an HP main stat and only has one offensive stat so I don't want to waste resources on that one

The red one has a fairly good ATK stat and would be good if you don't have anything better. But I know that I have red diamond cores with better ATK stats and better offensive stats, so this one doesn't cut it for the stage I'm at right now

Other than that, be sure to save your strongest ATK cores for your ATK cards so you can take advantage of its bonuses

That's all about cores I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure other people have different priorities, but this is the basis of my strategy

I just started playing L&DS and I've somehow ended up on Ambigous chaos: long awaited revelry but i can't get past the chapter 9 battle, tips?

So these are some basic Tips for not just this particular stage but for any battles in the game.

the outcome of your battles depends on 3 major things:

1. Stellactrums 2. Enemy Level 3. Protocores

1. Stellactrums

Before battle, make sure to check if there's any specific Protofield Stellactrum required during the battle.

If you match the stellactrums as mentioned, they increase Damage Boost by 5% with each addition as well as the Damage Reduction. And help you to easily break an enemy's shield and defeat them.

For instance, in the above battle, its 1 Pink Stellactrum •

So make sure to use at least 1 Pink Stellactrum card on your team. (Here you can see, i have 2 pink stellactrum cards of Sylus.)

Similarly, if the battle requires 2 pink stellactrums •• then use 2 pink stellactrum cards. Or if 3 green stellactrums ••• are required then use 3 green stellactrum cards, and so on..

2. Enemy Level

Check your enemy's levels.

Ideally, all your cards should be at same level as the enemy's or higher. But if it's difficult for you to get materials for that, then at least 2 cards of same level or higher should be enough. I MOSTLY WORK WITH 2-3 CARDS OF SAME LEVEL CUZ I'M KINDA LAZY.

For this I recommend prioritising your SOLAR cards over the LUNAR cards.

As for the cards itself, spare your materials for 5✩⁠ cards, then 4✩⁠ cards. And then the 3✩⁠ ones. However, i recommend to not waste your materials on upgrading 3✩ unless you have no other options. And even then try not to upgrade a 3✩⁠ more than level 40.

3. Protocores

Even with your cards upgraded to recommended levels and your stellactrums matched, your cards won't do much without good Protocores.

So add appropriate protocores to the cards you use.

Above pic is a card I'm still building and upgrading. But i think you should attach good protocores and try enhancing them to their max levels. If you can't, then even +5 to +9 is good. (But still try to enhance them to the max slowly)

If you aren't sure which Protocores to choose, then pick them based on the Talent mentioned on the card itself. For example, if the card talent is about Attack, then try adding Protocores that increase the attack stats on it.

But i personally prioritise Crit Rate, Crit Damage as well as the Oath Strength and DMG Boost to Weakened Protocores.

Try maintaining a 1:2 ratio between crit rate and crit damage. Your crit damage should always be twice of the crit rate. Example- 100 crit rate : 200 crit dmg, 200 crit rate : 400 crit dmg, etc.

Honestly, just add protocores based on what stats you need the most. And this is something no one can teach. You'll get the idea when you play battles for a while.

Now,

you should be able to tackle any battle if you've fixed the 3 things above.

And if you're still unable to get through, then hit the AUTO EQUIP icon.

And let the game pick out your best card options for you..(notice that i still got a matching pink • stellactrum card)

If its still difficult or you just don't enjoy combat much in general, then hit the AUTO option during battles and sit back n enjoy the fight.

(and one of those was a juanki retirement.) then exactly as roger's imperial phase began, juanki fell off the cliff. like. exactly.

i think one of the big what-ifs for me is, what could the relationship/rivalry (such as it is) have looked like if it hadn't been for the chicken pox-broken rib crit. juanki was never going to be rafael nadal, but let's say he'd kept building on his momentum. let's say he was the spanish clay man for a couple years—the main obstacle standing between roger and roland garros and rome and monte carlo. or maybe he followed through on the early narrative that here was a spaniard who wasn't just a clay courter, actually—maybe there's another uso final in his future with a different ending. like, there's no question that roger would ultimately be the better and more successful player but it could have been a really interesting pre-rafa moment. anyone who would like to write this fic feel free.

ooo you're making a champion! If you're playing in the golarion setting, dwarvish dromaar is a very storyful choice, what with the history of conflict between dwarves and orcs. I am now compelled to give unsolicited build advice because pf2e is my fixation rn! I see you've only got +3 in strength. if you're experienced in 2e and know why you're making that tradeoff and what effect it's going to have disregard this ask entirely! But I've seen multiple players newish to 2e get burned after not putting a +4 in their character's key ability and feeling ineffective in combat. In a champion's case, you're going to hit 5% less often, crit 5% less often, and do slightly less damage on a hit and crit, so it's overall more than a 10% damage reduction (or something like that maths is hard). this will feel more obvious if there's a fighter or gunslinger in the party as their to-hit bonus is inherently +2 above everyone else's You could honestly move a point from con to str and still be plenty tanky between the subclass-specific champion reaction, heavy armour proficiency, raise shield, and shield block. You could even take a point out of dex and ask your gm to be nicies and let you find full plate asap, because full plate has +0 dex cap and the bulwark trait (lets you pretend your dex is +3 when making reflex saving throws) ANYWAY nerding out over. hope you enjoy playing champion even though it's not your typical monk style!

Oh anon I am sure you mean no harm by it but this sort of thing is one of my serious pet peeves and why I don't often share my character sheets online, because I 100% am not building my characters for any specific reason except story and fun, and because my dm quite heavily mixes homebrew stuff in so it is not going to play like a normal pathfinder campaign at all.

Like, having someone do this at the table instantly gets my back up and makes me not want to play with them at all anymore.

My character is built to match a specific backstory I want him to have as well as his current place in Starting Town (tm). Please do not tell me how to build my character that I have built with the direct input from my dm himself.

To answer that weird ass anon: People will focus more on Lily’s media takes because it’s generally way more comfortable and easy to show people Lily orchard is a manipulative lying abuser through her opinions (on literally anything, not just media) vs having to show people that same thing through years of triggering, scattered evidence that will put huge amounts of mental strain on about anyone. That and She literally interweaves references and self reports of her actual crimes and personal life into said media takes, it doesn’t take a genius to start noticing that pattern.

DnD anon here, I am back again with the subclass for Overdose this time, this one felt the most mechanically interesting to make since I knew I wanted to have this subclass change the fighter's existing abilities to match with OD rather than just throw completely new stuff in, even if I did do some of that, anyways without further ado -----------

Reveler Martial Archetype Some people learn how to fight for honor, for revenge, for money or power…… Not these Fighters, they want Drugs, Alcohol, Partying and Violence, So throw back drinks until you're blind, get high as a kite and dance until you are the only one standing

3rd: Pain Tolerance You are durable, and violently resiliently, so party hard all day and night. while Unarmored you have an AC of 10 plus your Dexterity and Constitution modifier, you also gain resistance to poison and are have advantage on all rolls made in regards to resisting Drugs, Alcohol or Poison, finally you ignore the effects of the first three levels of exhaustion. at level 10 your unarmored AC becomes 13 plus Dexterity and Constitution modifiers

3rd: Overdrive Also at level three your Action Surge becomes Overdrive, when you use Action Surge your movement speed doubles, you gain two additional actions rather than one and all attacks made with the additional action granted by your action surge deal an additional 1d8 of your weapon damage type, however you take 3d6 piercing damage, this damage cannot be reduced in anyway

7th: Never Enough At level seven, your Second Wind ability becomes Never Enough, first of all you gain uses of your second wind equal to your half your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long or short rest, secondly whenever you use second wind roll on the table below, gaining the effect you rolled for 5 minute: 1d10 1: Your movement speed is doubled and your jump distance is tripled 2: You gain Resistance to the Slashing, Piercing and Bludgeon damage types 3: All melee attacks you make deal an additional 1d4 damage of your weapon's damage type 4: You gain 5 + double your constitution modifier in temporary hitpoints 5: You gain advantage on all dexterity checks and saving throws and When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. 6: You become immune to the frightened and charmed conditions 7: when you are reduced to 0 hp you are instead recovered back hp equal to your fighter level, this effect may only happen once for the duration of this effect 8:You gain advantage on all strength checks and saving throws and when you count as one size larger when determining the weight of things your carrying capacity 9: You gain resistance to cold and fire damage type as well as well as become unaffected by extreme cold and extreme heat 10: You gain a +5 to all attack rolls If you use Never Enough again, the previous effect ends early

10th: Dance-like Footwork At level ten, dealing damage with a melee attack to an enemy prevents them from making an attack of opportunity against you until the start of your next turn, additionally once per round you can swap places with a person who makes a melee attack against you as a reaction

15th: Party Favors At level fifteen, Whenever you use your Never Enough Ability, roll twice on the table and pick which effect you want from the two results

18th: Party's Over The only thing scarier is than a Reveler having too much fun is when they stop having any fun. Once either the 6th round of combat begins or you are brought to below half health, you may enter a state of anger that lasts until the end of combat as a free action, once this happens you cannot have disadvantage on attack rolls, you crit on a 17 or above and all attacks with melee weapons deal one additional dice of damage, (For example if a weapon deals 1d8 damage it now deals 2d8 damage), once this ability is used it cannot be used again until you finish a long rest --------- And that's the subclass, Again probably needs to be balanced in some areas but I think this one came out really cool in the mechanics and flavor, I'd love to hear what you think and what OD would think!

Party Favors is unbelievably big brained. love it. tastes like fighter mixed with wild magic and i fucking love stupid ass wild magic.

and OD would get mad serotonin from doing stupidly big damage and would take any dumb ass effects in stride. would also insist that their crit fail number be higher if they beef it because it would be funny.

i get what you’re saying and it’s valid not to want to talk about dregirls, idc about that specifically. i’m not trying to argue, and definitely not trying to argue for people to talk about dregirls. i just don’t think it make sense to say this when a huge majority of conversations on crit involve speculation and theories about dteam, and whatever they’re doing or whoever they’re talking to. i don’t get how sylnap speculation (before it was confirmed obv) is different from dregirl speculation if they’re both based on things that have factually happened and interactions we’ve seen. or even dnf speculation. most blogs have discussed one of those things, and none of those relationships are factually, objectively real (again besides sylnap now), so what’s the limit? i don’t think talking about dregirls equates to not operating on facts if dnf speculation, previous sylnap speculation, toosh speculation, snf speculation, and every other unconfirmed relationship isn’t also categorized as that.

even outside of relationship speculation, so many topics and conversations on crit involve things that aren’t necessarily confirmed as 100% factually true, theories, speculation, inferences, and the like. why is this one topic different, and a testament to a blog’s validity and character? i personally think it’s all the personal preferences of blogs, which is all fine and fair.

i’m just clarifying again that i don’t care about dregirl talk at all, i don’t care for the conversations, this is just about your response and what it implies. i’m genuinely wondering how that correlation can be made for one single topic of discussion. it’s being depicted as an invalid topic for critblr, of all places. no one mentioned dregirls or tried to talk about them in your inbox anyway, at least in those asks. who cares?

if you're wondering about where the line is between baseless speculation and extrapolation on actual facts? it's complicated.

if we take sylvnap as an example: there's been speculation for a long time based on their behaviour on early streams and certain things they would say about each other. being sure of their /r rlship based on that would be drawing a long bow and would be less welcome on crit, even after years of it, bc there's no solid proof of anything, just interpretations of the 1% of their interactions that we see publicly. from ~18m ago we had actual proof of the closeness of their rlship through certain leaks, certain ways that their lives were (officially, bureaucratically) intertwined in a way that typically only occurs with couples. then a lil while ago we had proof - the wedding invite - that could be talked about more publicly.

previous to any solid proof there were arguments about what that 1% of interactions meant - were they in love? were they fwb? was sapnap being mean to her on purpose on her bday stream to avoid speculation or bc he really didn't care about her or was this just their rlship dynamic and was it /r or /p? all of that is impossible to know from the tiny, tiny, miniscule look we have at their interactions but we could argue it forever bc each of us has a whole 99% to fill in. we could be here til kingdom come arguing about it bc we're basing shit on fucking nothing.

that gets tiring and really fucking boring so you're gonna find that ppl who've been in the space for longer aren't interested in it. think about all the possible situations and interactions and happenings that it's possible to do this same shit to. think about how tiring that is to be constantly squirrelling into every single little thing when that thing has nothing provable behind it. some things blow over quick - eg the 2-3wks where every anon and 1/2 the blogs were convinced dream was fucking yasmina - and some take longer. some end up true and some don't. but nothing's ever been proved true by baseless gossip so i don't care to engage with it.

i'm not saying the theories speculated about are wrong; i'm saying that until there's something solid behind it, it's the same as any other unsubstantiated rumour or gossip and that's nothing to me.

i'm not interested in talking for hours about what a certain word used on socmed means about a potential rlship etc when the end result is just ppl solidifying their opinion of a stranger based on possible scenarios they've imagined. it's nonsense.

in the same vein, i think speculating about dteam rlships based on the small amount of shit we see is foolish. i'm not interested in discussing whether snf hate dream bc they go to eat cookies without him or whether dnf don't care about sap bc neither went on a flight with him to la. that's stupid to me. acting like we know any of these ppl and then arrogantly discoursing about their behaviour and lives and characters bc we see maybe 3% of their lives rather than the 1% that regular fans see is fucking stupid, pompous, and completely reductive.

if you're asking who cares about dregirls? a whole bunch of ppl and it's ridiculous to deny that. it's ridiculous to deny that any discussion of 'dregirls' doesn't end up being extremely negative towards dream and the women involved. there's no denying the way women end up dehumanised and dream ends up demonised in every single one of these conversations on crit. not by everyone ofc but it always happens. it leads to claims of dream and any woman being at turns predatory and manipulative or pathetic and foolish. it happens every single fucking time and some of us have been around long enough to not want to even start down that path.
