Ok, I want to start off by saying that I am a fan of all arts and am so appreciative of the time, passion, and work that goes into any kind of content creation.
I am also very particular about when it comes to art. There are mangas, comics, animated works that I have difficulty reading/watching or will not read/watch if I'm not a fan of the art style.
And as an artist I understand that art is subjective and not everyone likes it. Just as I recognize that not everyone likes my particular art style and that's ok. (Not trying to have people come for me like I’m trashing Charlie’s art cuz I am 10000% not.)
Charlie does amazing work and I like it, but it's clear that her style has changed (as most content creators do) since the TLH portraits she did and the pieces that are going in the journal for CC's new kickstarter. I'm a self- taught artist so terminology isn't my best, but her style now is giving semi cartoon realism, but airing on the side of the cartoon more now.
I feel that my unpopular opinion is that I'm not a huge fan of it. I really like the TLH portraits she did of Matthew, James, Christopher, Thomas, ect, but idk there is something about these new portraits in her style that I'm just not liking. Her lines are much sharper now, darker, more profound and it feels like all of the face shapes/ jaw lines are basically the same (and I know I have no room to talk since I draw in an anime style so one could argue all my lines look the same).
and I'm NOT saying that they are carbon copies. Jem clearly looks different from Will down to his eye shape which is amazing and looks great. But idk...maybe part of my disliking is also the inconsistencies? and I'm using that term lightly...but like
Clary's hair looking straight when it's very canonly curly. Alec and Magnus having basically the same haircut... (I’m not the best person to speak on Dru…but CJ’s flower card is different and feels more like how she’s described on the book). The lack of and absence of runes... and I know all of that can be personal preference/stylistic choice. After all, art is subjective and based off of the artist's interpretation (for the most part anyway) but I'm a stickler for details so it bugs me…
And I just liked the softness/ more realism style of the previous portraits Charlie has done for TSC than these newer ones. These new ones are nice and I do like them…just not as much…and there are some that I don’t like at all.
Thanks for reading my ramble 😂 I hope it made sense
Summary: I like Charlie’s work, but am not a huge fan of these new TSC portraits.
BESTIE I'M ABOUT TO CRY😭THE WAY I ASKED YOU MYSELF TO EXPRESS YOUR FEELING IN MY ASKBOX AND THEN FORGOT ABOUT IT
Okay okay, SO! You're so brave for saying this, LIKE YES WE'RE BEING FED, thank you for the content for our dying fandom, but damn...
Allow me to also start with: WE LOVE YOU CHARLIE, WE JUST LOVE TO COMPLAIN🥺
I can understand Clary's hair, she could have styled them, I understand few runes on James, maybe Cassie didn't clarify that BUT WHAT ABOUT THESE😫the first one looks like a dream and the second one... I'm not sure, it feels like sth is wrong about it but I'm not an artist and I can't say what exactly is off
BUT SOMETHING IS OFF RIGHT?
One time she nails the character completely and the next time BOOM JUMPSCARE
Is it Cristina? Is it... who's it😳 it can't be Dru
But also I can't blame Charlie, I mean I also prefer her old style, but I'm mostly confused by Cassie. Like...you paid for the work and had a chance to correct the artist or clarify some details about the characters but...you saw this and went YEAH THAT'S WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, NO, NO NEED TO FIX ANYTHING IT'S ALREADY PERFECT

Do you watch Grey's? If so who is your fave and least fave? And please expand on why Owen Hunt is your least fave.
LOL, I got an Owen Hunt ask!
I do still watch Grey's, but it’s mostly background noise for me. When Owen first showed up, I actually liked him—yeah, I know, kind of an unpopular opinion.
Cristina has always been my favorite, so by the time she left, I was a certified Owen hater.
That said, I don’t think he’s that terrible anymore. I haven’t disliked him in quite a while—he's just kind of boring now, which honestly feels worse. But, to be fair, same goes for all of Grey's characters these days, so it's not just an Owen thing!

i just saw your ask answer abt having unpopular opinions abt the greys characters and ships.... please do share..... only if youre comfortable of course! if youre afraid of being swarmed i can always ask privately or in a comment or smth :] hope youre doing okay!
omg hi!!! ur so sweet!! i know u aren't super far in the show so i will try to keep this spoiler-free!!
i think derek and meredith are so toxic and i don't find the on-again, off-again thing charming. i think derek kind of like genuinely sucks and is a bad partner and person, lmfao. i do have a habit of liking toxic ships bc fiction ≠ real life and i can acknowledge when a ship is compelling in media but i would murder derek irl.
i have hated everyone cristina is with, she can do so much better. burke and owen can both genuinely suck my dick.
george and callie were good together and the writers shouldn't have ruined them. callie is good with arizona but again, everyone in this show just always has to be fightning and mad at each other and it makes all the characters look so bad. arizona and callie are genuinely like mean to each other, lmfao.
alex karev should never have a romantic interest, especially not izzie after all the sexual harassment he put her through.
i just genuinely think that the writers of this show are romanticizing and ruining so many ships. i barely ship anything, and when i do, it's either not canon or they're just going to wind up breaking up or divorcing or someone's gonna die??
so, i do ship:
lexie and mark - this one had to grow on me slowly over time and they piss me off so much because the writers just won't leave them be lmfao
callie and arizona - i have a lot of issues with this couple but the fact that they are the only canon queer couple at this time (of main recurring characters, i mean) means i am rooting for them despite how toxic they can be
george and callie, george and izzie - george is one of my favorite characters so i just want him to be happy and both of these people made him happy
addison and meredith, because i already ship a canon toxic lesbian ship, so why not a fanon one?
cristina and meredith - because sometimes a girl fumbles her every relationship with a man because her real soulmate is a woman
and then ones i would never actually write for, i love bailey and the person she is with, and i just started shipping two characters you def haven't met yet named jackson and april, but i don't know them well enough to write for yet, and the show will probably ruin them anyway so maybe i'll never get attached, lmfao.

UNPOPULAR OPINION APPARENTLY…
i actually like derek and meredith. the first few times i watched i didn’t like meredith and i HATED derek lol but after a while, i started to only pay attention to the plot and storylines and i don't think meredith is that bad. she sure isn't my favorite, but i don't think she's a terrible character.
i personally prefer meredith's personal storylines with her family and about surgery over the merder plot. after season 3 the back and forth became very played out - especially with better storylines from different and new characters.
once they get married meredith sort of fades into the background as far as storylines. they had plenty of opportunities to give meredith a compelling plot, but they all fell flat.
meredith goes to therapy and we see a glimpse of her traumatic childhood but before we can learn more she's healed.
meredith gets pregnant (which she came to terms with rather quickly in my opinion) and has a miscarriage and we see them trying again rather quickly.
derek forces a baby on her and says they should adopt, and we see meredith is uncomfortable and struggles with the idea of being a mother - but don't worry she gets over it by the end of the episode.
meredith gets into a plane crash and while everyone else is either dead, severely injured, or traumatized she's just there. she has that one episode about the patient that reminds her of lexie and she mentions the fact that she has to sleep with the light on and that's it.
meredith goes through such a traumatic event that changes her and her kids' lives forever and instead of us seeing how she adjusts to the change - they do a fing time jump -_-
and so many more.
(i honestly feel like they probably thought ellen couldn't handle the really emotional scenes, so they always fast-tracked the storylines... no shade tho )
derek only recently became a favorite because i've rewritten him so he's nothing like actual derek plus patrick dempsey is fiione. (so maybe i do still hate him)
cristina, april, amelia, arizona, hell even, izzie is far more interesting than meredith grey.
lol i started off by saying i like her i don't know how it veered.

Today's bookstack features some of my favourite love stories -- tell me yours!
Persuasion by Jane Austen Unpopular opinion, perhaps, but superior even to P&P. The slowburn, scorned lovers finding each other again - perfection.
Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller Tragic, yet beautiful. I love the way that no matter what, the leads just accept each other.
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid Surprisingly, perhaps, not for Daisy & Billy, but rather for Camilla & Billy. In my opinion the show didn't quite do them justice, but I find the way that Camilla refuses to accept an end to their relationship, and instead make it work a wonderful sentiment. She wasn't going to give up on Billy.
Bloodlines by Richelle Mead This is another one that I love because of the way the two characters come together & despite any flaws in each other, just work together and support each other.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (Pictured is actually a modern YA retelling). Okay, I acknowledge this one has its problems but for some reason Jane and Mr. Rochester always delight me. And I mean, theyre doing better than Cathy & Heathcliff so that's something, right?
The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare I actually really love Mark, Cristina & Kieran. It's good representation of different relationship types and honestly, I just think they all bring something the other needs. Which a relationship needs.
Long post is now done. If you read this all, thank you! Please leave me a message & let me know some of your favourite romances

Re-reading tales from the shadowhunter academy and oh my god mark and Kieran!!! But most importantly!! Kieran!!!! My little baby boy i love him so much!!!!!
Like if i could rate all characters i think it would be (and this is a v unpopular ranking i think btw):
1- all the malec family. Including the kids. They all take the first spot.
2- KIERAN MY BABY
3- Jace and Isabelle
4- lily (i just love her shes so fun!! And yet so complex, full of longing and tragedy and yet so much live and fire and a will of iron. So brave. So gay. My beautiful girl).
5- cristina my wild baby
6- mark! (He would be so much more up if i didnt get a little annoyed every time i think on how he manipulated kieran with his love while simultaneously persuing cristina as if kieran didn’t matter. Ik he made up for it, and i adore him, but i will always be a little annoyed at him).
7- emma and julian!!!!!!!!!!!
8- clary and simon!!! (I swear i do love them, they just tend to annoy me more than the rest lmaoo)
9- the other blackthorn kids!!! Altho i feel like once the last series is out Dru and Ty (and ash + kit) will all go up in the rankings tbh.
Everyone else regardless of how i love them doesn’t really call to me. Like these are all characters i would read books based on. Everyone else i wouldn’t read a story solemnly on them so no spot number 10. Maybe Helen and Aline take spot number 10 because i could read a story about them???? But I’m genuinely not too sure i would. I tend to like really angsty characters trying their best and i just feel like Helen and Aline tend to be written as very stable people shhdhn so i’m not too sure i would jump to read a story about them immediately as is out, but i would 100% read it with time.
I might as well also rank my fave ships tho:
1- malec (obviously)
2- KIERARKTINA MY LOVES EVERY DAY I PRAY FOR THEIR HAPPY ENDING
3- Sizzy tbh altho half their written time has been spent with me vocally threatening simon (me talking to the books) whenever he hurts izzy bc thats my baby angel girl
4- jace and clary!!
5- emma and julian!!!!!!! They could honestly go up jace and clary, is just that jace and clary have nostalgia on their side
6- Helen and Aline!!!!!!!
7- Jem and Tessa. I do waver sometimes because (VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION!!!) i didnt like the love triangle with will!!! Those books fill me with anxiety more than enjoyment lmao. I do prefer jem and tessa. I like the peaceful love they have so much more. I like the idea that the one you love gives you serenity and peace over the PASSION!!! ANGST!!! Tropes. BUT I understand the love triangle is complicated, that she loves them both equally but differently (or thats what Cassandra tries to write at the very least, didnt feel like that because she disregarded Jem’s pov but whATEVER). Nonetheless i do really love the jem and tessa dynamic. A love that waited thousands of years but never weakened or hesitated.
Again, i have the suspicion ty and kit will go up a lot in rankings once the books about them are out. I also have my eye on Dru and Jaime, but with the age difference i put a stop. I know the books coming up will have a time skip and Dru will be like 18 or close to it, but i hear people say her love interest might be ash and the idea of that actually calls my attention so much???? So they could potentially go up too. Although mostly I’m excited to see how the time skip changed the kierarktina dynamics (Hopefully they still see each other like montly at the cabin and are very domestic by now. Hopefully someone has given kieran a cat by the time skip). And how the time skip and made the lightwood-bane family grow🥹 (the kids hopefully will have more scenes on their own and with malec).
#shadowhunters#im just very excited about the new series eventually releasing#cassandra clare#pleasure hurry ma’am give me kierarktina content pls#kierarktina#malec#sizzy#my main 3 i suppose#clace#simon lovelace#simon lewis#let me tag him bc this post is inspired by me reading the shadowhunter academy tales#and that’s pretty much his book#altho its actually inspired by mark and kieran’s chap showing up and getting excited on that#like!!! my babies!!! kieran!!! these are my children!!!#the mortal instruments#the dark artifices

I’m that same April/Arizona/Shane hate anon
When did you stop watching greys ? I’m only asking because I really enjoy your blog and POV and finally found someone who agrees that Arizona is terrible to Callie
I’m also curious if you’ve seen the part of greys where April and Jackson lose their first baby - it’s around the time Shane came in (season 9-11 I think)
Did you like Lexie ? I didn’t but disliking her is also unpopular. I don’t hate her l, I just don’t see her point. She’s cute with mark and they have a good relationship but character wise, she’s nothing special to me. When she came in season 4 as the daughter thatcher chose and raised instead of mer, I really disliked her just because at that point I was on Meredith’s side.
Also, do you remember Mer fighting with Cristina in s5 ? If so, whose side were u on ? Do you have an opinion on the mer and Cristina fight in s10 (I was totally on Meredith’s side on that btw)
It's funny because I recently rewatched the Cristina/Meredith fight in season 10 and I'm on Cristina's side 100%.
These are valid points. She even says it has nothing to do with being a mother
People get so wrapped up in her pointing out that Ellis never let up but her point was that because Meredith didn't want to be Ellis, which was valid, she let that --- at the time anyway --- affect her dedication to her work.
She didn't even say she was a bad surgeon, she just said that the two of them were in different places and they were and then Meredith twisted what Cristina said.
because she never said she couldn't do that, she just said that she slowed down and her priorities were different and they were.
In terms of the printer, Meredith's research, yes, she got it for the hospital to complete her research and she needed to complete her phase before the end of the week to get funding but Cristina had an actual patient who was running out of options and she was doing everything she could to save the patient's life. That should take precedence.
People hate that Shane intervened but what he said wasn't wrong, Meredith did make it emotional, she did make it personal and that's something that Meredith does frequently
and something Cristina had called her out about in their season 5 fight
So, I was on Cristina's side.
In terms of their fight in season 5, I don't really know if I had a side because no matter how you slice it, they were both wrong. Like, I definitely thought Cristina was right to tell Meredith that all of them failed their interns but she didn't report them and I thought she should've been punished for that and the fact that she didn't report them isn't Meredith's responsibility. At the same time, Meredith was kind of acting holier than thou when her interns were also a part of the situation and as for her not having her back, she doesn't have to but I mean she had Izzie's in season 2 and for all of their talk about being each other's Person, I can see why Cristina would be pissed but again, it wasn't really about sides for me with that one.
I stopped watching Grey's when Cristina left, which I think is season 10 but after season 2 frankly, Grey's gets kind of fuzzy for me because it was strange, I'd find, like, two seasons trash and then one season really good and then the other season mediocre but with one or two really stand out episodes so I have to refresh my memory and I definitely won't really remember much minor/side characters like Shane.
I went through a phase where I caught up on Grey's through youtube vids of certain ships so I'm fairly certain I saw the whole devolution of Japril which included when they lost their first child because I remember when Jackson tried to comfort her and suggested trying for another baby and April freaks out and then I believe she leaves, right? and then she comes back and wants him back or something then they have another kid and then there's a whole custody thing or something because I remember Jackson tries to talk to her and she slams the door in his face or something and he kicks it or something and I was like whoa, Japril got really toxic in the time that I haven't been watching.
Lexie:
With Lexi, I just didn’t get the point of her. Every time she was onscreen I was just like, why are you here, what do you bring, what IS your personality, are you just the nice mousy girl who got to have a father in Thatcher and then get annoyed at Meredith when she has hangups about the life you got when he didn’t fight for her? Like who ARE you and why do I care about you? That was me every time she was onscreen. I mean, that’s also partially my thing, I don’t think I’m a very forgiving person so her insistence on being a part of Meredith’s life and begging her to give Thatcher a transplant because he was such a good father to her even though he wasn’t to Meredith just bothered me and she bothered me.

@eizohwa In mainland Europe, being a "soft" doesn't help. In Spain, Letizia does much better when she goes back to her journalists roots & shows her professional side versus when she is a wallflower appearing at state dinners. To give you an example, Spain is one of the countries in Europe with the highest numbers of females neurosurgeon. They love badass women. It's not the 1950s/1960s. Very different from the UK where professional women are more seen as "too" everything. Like Kate would have never survived in the Dutch or Spanish court. Her outside image is way too soft while we like a bit more of edge/outwardly showing steel (that she has but is way too subtle about it). I think I am not the only one who love how equal those 2 pairings work but @ofprincessesandqueens and @felipeandletizia are/lived in Spain longer than I did so might be able to speak more to it and who knows, you might be on to something!!
I kinda agree with you, actually. Leti get the most widespread praise when she is allowed to communicate and go full journalist. I know Vanessa thinks if she dressed more like a queen is suppossed to dress and were to put on a hat she would be more liked but I disagree. How she dresses is not an issue and she would be so clowned if she were to dress like a BRF royal, sorry. Like, sure, we all loved when she showed at Fred and Mary's wedding in that red dress, but that didn't made her popular. And one of the things she is more praised about is that she distanced from Iñaki and Cristina first, while for Felipe it seemed it took more time.
IMO, the thing lies with Casa Real not allowing her to have a personality. In my opinion, they tend to repeat strategies so they tried to replicate with her what they did with Sofia and I think that only made her appear distant. She is intelligent, funny and charismatic, but with the Silent Consort 2.0 treatment people can't see that and I think if they had worked in that it could have been easier for her. And now that we are on it, as beloved as Sofia is, I'm not sure her whole persona would have worked nowadays.
Regarding Kate. I don't think she would have been unpopular here necessarily but for years I scratched my head trying to explain why her popularity in polls seems to stop at the millenials? I consider her likeable so that's why I was always so surprised to see how popular she is among all age groups and then there is that sudden cut with the gen z where they seem to not warm up about her. And the conclusion I reached is that maybe the Gen Z simply doesn't find relatable her stay at home mom persona, so maybe you are right, who knows xD

I am of the firm opinion that Book Wicked and Musical Wicked are two separate spheres that should never touch, so the Wicked movie looks to be a certified disaster. So yeah, I’m definitely seeing it in theaters.

Okay so unpopular opinion but I have seen some people saying they want Cordelia, Matthew, and James to end up in poly relationship (with Cordelia dating both of the boys as a triad) because "there's never been a poly relationship in TSC!"
Umm . . . Kierarktina? I know they're different because they are technically a throuple versus a triad. And of course not everyone has read QOAAD, where they end up together.
I'm not adverse to seeing Cordelia, Matthew, and James, but it really annoys me when people seem to forget Kierarktina exists. Kieran, Mark, and Cristina are amazing and I am NOT going to tolerate people forgetting about them.
I'm defining the terms I used here real quick because not everyone knows.
Throuple: Three people who are all dating each other at the same time. They don't have to love together, but they're all dating the two others in some way.
Triad: A relationship where one person is dating two people at the same time. If Cordelia, Matthew, and James ended up like this, Cordelia would date both of the boys at the same time. Matthew and James would not be dating, so no need to worry about the parabatai curse.
(Edited to explain polyamorary better because I'm still learning about it. Some people's were lost on how I explained it. @thechangeling I saw what you wrote but Tumblr didn't Reblog/message me if I got anything wrong because I tried to explain this the best I could.)

They are also similar in the fact that both are wildly misinterpreted because of a) the cleverness and subtleties of both Shakespeare and Frank Loesser, who composed the song, go over most people’s heads and b) modern critical lit dumbfuckery that has to interpret everything through a reductive power dynamics and the oppressor-oppressed paradigm. Not in the case and not on my watch.
It’s clearer than crystal that Macbeth is very tempted to kill King Duncan, but is afraid to kill him for frankly obvious reasons, which he actually says, straight-up, both in his soliloquy and to Lady Macbeth! Check it out:
“Besides, this Duncan / Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office, that his virtues / Will plead like angels...And pity, like a naked newborn babe...Shall blow the horrid deed in every eye / That tears shall drown the wind” (1.7.16-25).
And then to Lady Macbeth on Duncan:
“He hath honored me of late, and I have bought / Golden opinions from all sorts of people, / Which would be worn now in their newest gloss, / Not cast aside so soon” (1.7.33-34).
Notice how, in both instances, Macbeth is focused only on himself, on the harm to his reputation if he murdered Duncan. Although he does acknowledge Duncan being a good and actually really sweet king, all he cares about is how Duncan’s death would affect him. So of course he is convinced by Lady Macbeth fairly quickly. Apart from a gruff, “We will not fail if you stick to the plan and stop being a pussy” on LB’s part, he doesn’t need that much convincing.
Neither, for that matter, does the woman in “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
The song was always intended as a couple’s song. In fact, Frank Loesser (of Guys and Dolls fame, very talented composer) composed it only for his wife and him to sing at parties; it was about their courtship and it meant something to them. His wife was actually upset when he published the song for the public. The fact that it became a Christmas classic even though it was obviously not meant to be a seasonal song is a token to the cleverness of the lyrics and the melody.
The dramatic conceit is that of a young couple, just starting to go out, hanging out (and obviously fooling around/making out — “Say, lend me a comb” suggests that her hair is mussed) in the man’s home. The woman is worried about the late hour, and feels it’s time to head on home. The man wants her to stay, so he invents spurious, hilarious reasons why she can’t—it’s too cold outside, there’s a storm out, it’s warm here, imagine my lifelong sorrow if you caught pneumonia and died (!). The couple go back and forth; it’s clear that the woman is tempted to stay with her boyfriend and likes/loves him, (“This evening has been so very nice”, “I wish I knew how to break this spell”) but a couple of things restrain her: a) The late hour, and b) the gossip she will endure if she stays out too late. In the end, her best inclinations win. What the hell, it is too cold outside. They either snuggle/make-out some more or actually sleep together.
So in summary:
Both Macbeth and the unnamed woman want very much what they’re tempted to do. Macbeth wants to kill Duncan, but doesn’t want to deal with the consequences he is concerned with, namely, social. The woman wants to stay with her boyfriend, but she is practical: It’s getting late, and she doesn’t really want to deal with gossips and getting the third-degree from her family.
Although the woman is operating under 1940s-norms of virtuous conduct, that does NOT mean she doesn’t want to stay with her boyfriend/guy she’s dating. The fact that she is only worried about what they’ll say and doesn’t question her own desire for the guy means that she isn’t opposed to staying with her man, period.
Lady Macbeth is not a villainess who bullies her husband into committing murder. The woman is not a victim of anything, just conflicted between following proper 1940s maidenly conduct and her true desires. There are plenty of cringeworthy songs reflecting dated gender roles, retrogade sexual politics, and even what we’d call date rape. “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” isn’t one of them.
Shakespeare is great. Frank Loesser is great. Macbeth’s a masterpiece. “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is a classic. Take a chill pill, Tumblr, and don’t let me catch you trotting out this shitty discourse come Christmastime.
Baby It’s Cold Outside discourse is the same as Macbeth discourse.

Random ramble:
I've been in what truly can only be described as an emotionally abusive, on-again-off-again, roller coaster like relationship with Grey's Anatomy since the gorgeous goddess that is Sara Ramirez reset her first on-screen shoulder. I have committed myself to heartbreak after heartbreak; drama after drama; and laugh after laugh for almost two decades.
Whether it's an unpopular opinion or not, I truly think GA has run its course and s17 should've been the last season. With all the major cast changes since s9, Jesse being the most recent, and Krista Vernoff taking over for Shonda since s14, the show has felt so different and not in a good way. On top of it, everyone has grown, matured and had families of their own, so the days of sex crazed know-it-alls competing for surgeries are very much behind us. Nevermind the current/recent interns, the plot lines over the past few seasons have been ok at best.
Yet, with all that said, I have no plans to get off this ride. Why do we continue to subject ourselves when we know someone's gonna leave or die. This is a very unhealthy relationship that's made me ridiculously insanely happy with Callie, Addie, Mark, Cristina, Teddy, Lexie, Bailey, Jackson, Catherine, Richard and Edwards. And I'll always love Grey's for it.
Agree? Disagree? Undecided? Leave a comment.

Isa and Rebecca for the send me a character
Thank you!
Isabel.
Favourite thing about them: she's smart, but without being "a total nerd." She does love her family and can have fun and be a funny child she actually is. This makes her very lively. And I'm a younger sibling myself, so I actually relate to her at some points :)
Least favourite thing about them: her wish to be like Elena. And the fact we got too many the same Isabel-centric episodes. They all are about her and science, while they might have been focused on the other aspects of her character. It makes her a bit blank, imo.
Favourite line: "We do. But only because I realized I don't need to be his best friend. I just need to get along with him well enough to do our work."
BrOTP: Elena, Gabe, Naomi, Mateo, Cristina, Amara, Quique, Olivia, and Tomiko.
OTP: don't have one, sorry (it's probably a super unpopular opinion, but I just don't take the children and younger teens love seriously)
NOTP: not really.
Random headcanon: she's good at drawing.
Unpopular opinion: I don't like her season 3 model. I'm glad she got aged-up, but the design itself doesn't work for me at all.
Song I associate with them: don't have one.
Favourite picture of them:
Rebecca.
Favourite thing about them: she's a resourceful and smart perfectionist who loves her family and is ready to do everything to make them happy.
Least favourite thing about them: her over too nervous obsession to make everything perfect. It never ends good.
Favourite line: "Well, Hanukkah is my bubbe's favourite holiday, so we need to get the details just right."
BrOTP: Elena, Ari, and honestly, all of royal friends.
OTP: never thought about it, honestly.
NOTP: not really.
Random headcanon: she has many siblings she takes care of, and this is why she's so responsible and picky.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think there's any? Anyway, I saw someone disliking Rebecca's character design and saying that it's over too Jewish-like and does look a bit stereotypical, plus she looks older than other princesses. I don't think I agree with that since I actually really love her design.
Song I associate with them: don't have one.
Favourite picture of them:

ezio (in all seriousness now. mind your step 🥰🥰🔪🔪)
hey you can put your pixel knives away, i love ezio. and i'm not gonna steal your video game boyfriend i promise <3
first impression
i first played ac2 when i was 13 or so. at the Very First Glance he annoyed me a bit because he reminded me of boys my age who thought they were all that. a pre-fuckboy, if you will. but then he was so soft with his family. i really felt the pain of losing them with him. and he was adorably awkward flirting with cristina and being baffled by leonardo. so i quickly realized that ezio actually deserves so much love. and also a hug... pls allow this man some damn comfort ubi. plus of course, the fancy renaissance assassin robes and being so overpowered in fights just made it so FUN to play as ezio. i appreciated his badassery
impression now
now, playing an ezio game feels like coming home.
no matter what life throws at him, ezio finds a way to move forward and make something of it. always with a joke and a spring in his step. i love that resilience. and i've come to love the charm that annoyed me at first. because it's not putting on a show, that's just How He Is. he's warm and charismatic and funny. and manages to maintain that in spite of everything.
also, his humor isn't a façade veiling a lack of character or wisdom as can sometimes be the case with the fun-loving roguish archetype. over the course of the games, he really grows to be a man of principle and gains truly insightful perspective. these quotes he just drops:
"When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward."
"I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here, at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding. Who are we, who have been so blessed to share our stories like this? To speak across centuries?"
"To say that nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our civilization. To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious of tragic."
"My story is one of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon."
i cried looking those up and reading them again btw!!
this man goes through so much pain. he builds the brotherhood up from nothing, only to lose it. and then builds it again. he does ALL THAT only to realize his whole life has served to convey a message he will never understand to a person he will never meet. yet even so he still finds contentment. he finds love and happiness. and he does it all with the signature ezio auditore da firenze flair. and looks hot doing it
(i really do need to note, this pixel man is FINE. i have to say his brotherhood look is my favorite but he is consistently hot)
i love him i love him i love him
favorite moment
there are so many??? and tbh i just started my ezio trilogy replay so the details are a little fuzzy, especially on brotherhood and revelations
one moment that always rips my heart out is when he assassinates his first target and yells "the auditore are not dead! i'm still here! me! ezio! ezio auditore!" and you can just hear his voice breaking a little
i love the little conversations between him and leonardo. leo really becomes one of the few constants in ezio's life, which forms such a distinct and powerful bond between them. and leo is just a walking ray of sunshine
ooh i really love the entire venice carnival sequence. also both ezio and claudia's assassin induction ceremonies. when ezio yeets cesare off the roof. and all of the moments with the quotes above
like i said, impossible to choose. and i still feel like this list is incomplete since i'm about to replay and will likely rediscover a bunch of old faves
idea for a story
hmm i don't know. i really feel like ezio's story is well executed and comes full circle in canon tbh. in the past i've enjoyed fics that actually do give ezio a chance to talk to desmond and explore the bleeding effect creating overlap between their lives. if i wrote a story, i might focus on ezio and claudia, because i feel like her character is very underutilized in-game.
unpopular opinion
i suppose a lot of my interpretation of ezio would be unpopular among those who see him as a womanizer and put him on a pedestal for that. other than that, hard to say tbh. i know many people don't like ezio with sofia, and i think they're very cute together. i guess also, i don't think ezio ever fully recognized claudia's ability. i think his perception of her was clouded by the gender roles of the time. in my view, he improved over time but never managed to shake off that bias
favorite relationship
romantically, this is difficult because ezio has great chemistry with lots of people and almost every ship makes me think oh yeah that'd be cute. i don't really have an otp with ezio, you know? i do really like him with leonardo and sofia tho
platonically, claudia. the murder siblings dynamic is everything. also, yusuf. their interactions were always so charming and hilarious, and yusuf's death clearly hit him so hard-- why ubisoft
favorite headcanon
ezio paints portraits of his targets, but i also like the thought of him painting portraits of his loved ones. ones that just feel more tender and personal when you're looking at them. and going out to the countryside to paint landscapes with leonardo-- artist couple!!
this is a communal headcanon at this point lol, but in-game ezio tries coffee and suggests adding sugar and milk. so i like to think he's the inventor of The Most Extra coffee drinks, like a triple caramel cappuccino with extra whipped cream and sprinkles type shit
finally, i think at heart he's very sentimental. he probably holds on to all sorts of knick knacks that remind him of the people in his life and the places he's been. he catches a whiff of, idk, a certain type of flower and is instantly transported to picking those flowers for a crush as a boy. gets all misty-eyed thinking about it. ezio is soft!!
send me a character!
#thank u nat 💖💖#i love to ramble about ezio and i so rarely get the opportunity#ask#ask game#ezio auditore
