I am...so sorry.

@galaxy-lilies I wrote it. It’s not the best, but I wrote it. Sapnap's design is inspired by @_pr1nc3_ali_ on tiktok

“I’m sorry…who are you?”

‘…What? He’s kidding, right?’ Sapnap thought, looking at one of…the only love of his life.

“Karl…you��re kidding…right?” he said, laughing a bit. He stopped though, noticing that Karl wasn’t laughing along.

“Karl?” Sapnap asked, his voice breaking as tears started to well up in his eyes.

“Sorry, I don’t recognize you. Should I?” Karl asked, tilting his head in that cute way that Sapnap loves.

“Karl, this isn’t funny. We’re engaged. We had another fiance, but…stuff happened, so now it’s the two of us.” Sapnap said, sounding more and more desperate, even to himself.

“Sapnap.” A voice said, making the two men turn to see Tubbo and George standing there, both looking concerned.

“What.” Sapnap snapped, his eyes looking like flames.

“Let him be. We can’t do anything about it. I’m sorry.” George said, putting a hand on his friend’s shoulder.

“NO! It’s not okay!” Sapnap snarled, his slightly sharper teeth looking more intimidating with his rage.

“Fuck this, I’m leaving.” Sapnap said, stalking off.

“Dad? Pops? Anyone?” Sapnap called out, walking into the crimson forest.

“Sapnap?” a voice called back, scaring the man, making him spin to see one of his fathers standing next to a tree covered in vines.

“Dad!” Sapnap crowed, bounding over to the 9’2” demon, hugging him.

“What are you doing here, Sapnap?” Bad asked, softly hugging him back.

“…Karl doesn’t remember me, and Quackity left us. I just…I just need you and pops.” Sapnap said softly, nuzzling his dad’s stomach for comfort. Bad gently pushed him away, making Sapnap look at him in worry. His dad never pushes away from hugs first.

“I’m sorry, Sapnap. Come with me. I’ll take you to Skeppy. And to the others.” Bad said.

“Others?” Sapnap asked.

“Yes. The rest of the Eggpire. It’s where Skeppy and I have been staying. And where you’re allowed to come, if you want.” Bad said.

“The Eggpire?” Sapnap asked.

Bad doesn’t answer.

They walk for a bit and stop in front of…an egg. A giant one. A giant red one. A giant red one with large red vines coming out, and Antfrost, Punz, Ponk, and Skeppy around it.

“Why is Skeppy red.” Sapnap asked, getting nervous.

Before Bad could answer, a loud noise that then thinned out to what sounded like multiple voices whispering at once started up.

Sapnap’s ears rang for a moment, and then…he heard it.

“.panpaS olleH”*

“Who are you?” Sapnap asked, curiously, his head tilting, his eyes gaining a slightly reddish hue.

“.ggE eht sllac rehtaf ruoy eno eht ma I”** the voice said, sounding a bit amused.

“What do you want from me?” Sapnap questioned.

A noise like nails on a chalkboard is heard, taking Sapnap a moment to realize that the Egg just laughed.

“.ti xif lliw I dna ,em nioj tsuJ .taht egnahc nac I .nos rieht er'uoy taht rebmemer t'nod stnerap ruoY .evol llits dna ,devol evah uoy enoyreve ssim uoY .das era uoY .enola era uoY .tnaw uoy tahw dna ,gnileef era uoy tahw llet nac I .panpaS ,tnaw I tahw ton s'tI”*** The egg said.

Sapnap balks a bit when the egg says his fears, but leans forwards in worry when he hears that his dad’s don’t remember him. He thought for a moment, and then nodded sharply.

“I want in. I can’t take them not knowing me. I already have that with Karl.”

A warm feeling comes from the egg.

“.uoy tseb ruoy emoceb uoy erus ekam lliw ew dna ,hguorht petS.”***** the egg coos.

Sapnap steps in, and sat down as the Egg closes up.

PAIN. That’s all Sapnap feels for what seems like days, weeks, years.

Then the Egg opened up, letting light in, and making Sapnap hiss and cover his eyes.

“Sappy-Nappy?” Sapnap heard, making him perk up.

“Dad?” He called out, stepping out and making everyone but his dads and the Egg gasp.

Sapnap looked down to see that everything looked fine.

“W-What--” Sapnap asked, confused.

“Oh Sappy-Nappy, looks like the Egg wants more of your Blaze inheritance to show. Look!” his Dad gushed, pulling him to a gold block nearby.

Sapnap looked and was surprised to see his eyes and mouth were glowing, and some flaming horns were inside of the now flame that was now his head.

“Oh!” Sapnap said, tossing a hand into his hair.

“.dlrow eht ni ecalp wen ruoy ecarbme uoy taht epoh eW .olaH panpaS ,eripggE eht ot emocleW” the Egg said.

Sapnap smiled, and laughed, the glow in his eyes turning red.

“Of course.”

“What. The. Hell!” Quackity screamed, running to George and Karl, who were watching the destruction of their SMP with horror.

“Sapnap…?” George said, making Quackity whirl around to see a Sapnap with flaming hair and standing on the walls next to Badboyhalo and Skeppy, all with red eyes.

“Sapnap, the hell?” Quackity screams.

Sapnap looks at the little group of men, and asks, “Where’s the president.”

“I’m right here, Sapnap. What do you want?” Tubbo said, pushing in between the men.

“Have you checked on the nukes lately?” Sapnap asked innocently, holding up a remote that made Tubbo pale dramatically.

“Sapnap, you need to stop this!” Quackity said.

“I don’t need to do anything.” Sapnap snapped back.

“Why?” Karl asked.

“Why not? Quackity, Kinoko Kingdom is blown to kingdom come. Las Nevadas is on thin ice. Do not come near us of the Eggpire, or I will kill you.”

Quackity took a step back at the venom in his ex-fiance’s voice, as Karl gasped and put a hand to his mouth with tears welling up in his eyes.

“Son. Don’t waste your time.” Bad said, putting a hand on Sapnap’s shoulder.

“Fine Dad.” Sapnap said, smiling. He then turned to the others, and frowned.

“Las Nevadas. Thin ice. Keep it there, and I won’t blow it up. For now.”

The Broken Lance

“Jian! Jian!”

A voice called out to him, rousing him from a stupor. He squinted his eyes and saw his arm being held onto for dear life. Through the haze he saw an old elezen, silver haired in the blackest armor, with deep purple eyes furrowed by determined brows.

“Wake up ye mad lad! And pull yourself from the abyss!” Through gritted teeth, the man beckoned.

Jian shook his head, as he looked down at the inky black maw of oblivion.

“Oh.”

His other arm still free, Jian grunted as he swung himself to grab the elezen by his arm. A sudden flash of light erupted in his head, finding himself on a tall cliffside, overlooking a grassy plain. A clinking of armor plating caught his attention and he turned to see a figure in traditional dragoon garb with a light blue tint on the metallic platings, kneeling on the edge of a cliff, watching an encampment in the distance. Jian could see the man frown in concern as he stood up.

“Has no one informed that caravan over yonder that they’re to leave that area in case of the Dravanian invasion?”

Another approached the dragoon in familiar, but decorated armor, polished yet worn from decades of fighting.

“We’ve been ordered to ignore them, for they are heretics and are to burn with the Dravanians.”

A quiet gasp escaped his lips. His metallic blue helm turned sharply at the knight.

“But…they are innocent. I was sent out to observe them, and I found no violations of heresy.”

“The Inquisitors had made their judgment, and they are guilty as of this morning.”

“They’re only just traders from the Far E-.” His protests were soon silenced by his barking commanding officer. “Remember your place, Ser Jacques de Raoult of the Stalwart Lance. As much as I tolerate your zealotry in courage and justice, do not intervene against the will of the church of Halone, else we would lose one of our finest dragoons, and the next candidate to inherit the mantle.”

“...Right, remember my place.” He gripped his lance tightly with a Nymeia lily etched onto the handle.

Jian gasped as he was pulled from the memories, he looked up to the man, who was pulling him away from the edge. Soon, he was assaulted by another flash, and this time, he found himself in a familiar room of dark, dank walls and a square arena, surrounded by wooden seats filled by robed clergy. A dark-robed figure spoke out to the young dragoon he saw prior; a youthful elezen with piercing violet eyes and ebony hair. His countenance of anger as he stood before the inquisitors.

“And how do you plead, Jacques de Raoult?” “Bloody fuckin’ innocent! That’s what I am. I was ordered to engage in combat with the Dravanians, and to protect the innocent! If you deny me my innocence under the eyes of Halone, then I shall fight for it!”

A few knights approached him, with swords drawn. Jacques snarled, slapping his helmet over his head and unsheathing his silver spear with the Nymeia lily etched onto its shaft.

Someone grabbed Jian by his collar and lifted him out of the memory. He blinked, looking to the very same intense stare hovering over him. His dark side scowled as Jian groaned, sitting up on a dark precipice over oblivion.

“So, you’ve seen a part of me, Jian. Of memories centuries ago, kept alive by something more than just aether.”

The highlander looks down at his palms, flexing his crimson claws before the same set of claws grips him. Nac pulls him up to stand. “More than just aether?” Nac leans close, pointing at Jian’s chest close to his heart. “Our virtue. Our strength of character. Our reasons and desire to live in the face of impending death. Grit.” “Well, I don’t thin-”

“Stop thinking. You’re hesitating. Do you or do you not need this power that I’m about to bestow upon you? The centuries of Dark Arts techniques practiced by your ancestors and mastered by yours truly? The very same arts passed onto your father?”

Jian grimaced as another flash blinded him. As he came to, he recognized the familiar underbelly of Ishgard, the Brume. Glancing around, he saw Jacques with a greatsword drawn against a group of similar armored men. The familiar nymeia lily insignia etched on the blade close to the hilt. Behind him lay a disarmed temple knight, frozen with fear and awe. One of the men spoke.

“Jacques Raoult, why do you defend that temple knight?”

“Because he’s innocent.” He gritted his teeth behind his black helmet.

“You know he’s going to run and tell his friends and come after our heads, and there will be no one to protect the weak and the downtrodden.”

“Maybe if you tin-headed wanks didn’t jack off yer fucking swords in the their blood, and just simply give ‘em a bit of ‘ol fisticuffs, we wouldn’t be sucked into this cycle of violence.” Jacques spat on the ground. “I sacrificed my spear, my home, everything- EVERYTHING!- to bear this greatsword for two reasons alone: to uphold my virtues and protect the innocent until my last breath! If you are to cross such a line, then I will raise my blade against you.”

His words fell on deaf ears of his comrades, whose minds were still yet filled with vengeance. Another knight shook his head, “I’m sorry, Jacques. We do not wish to raise our blades against you, but the man has to die.” “Then I shall die with him!”

Jian breathed heavily as the memory fades into the darkness, and once more Nac stood before him. He sighed, and an odachi materialized before him. Jian recognized it, the blade he used during training with his family a few months ago. The floral pattern of the Nymeia lily on the hilt. The sky blue tint on the unsharpened sori side of the blade. Nac swung the blade in the air with ease, as if he was familiar with its balance and its weight.

“Perhaps, we should fight to remind you why you want this?”

“...” Jian shook his head, “You know me. I’m not much of a fighter, Nac.”

Nac rolled his eyes. “As if. Go on, use your mother’s spell, Adstrum Telum. Let our essences clash and see who wins out.”

The man sighed, staring at his clawed gauntlets. There was no other way to leave this dark place but to give into Nac’s request. He nodded, and a bright, blue aetherial blade appeared into his hand. Nac smirked.

“Good. Let us begin.”

He leaped forward, and his blade sang in tandem.

“...You have suffered dearly.”

Jacques looked up at the Hingan with teary, violet eyes, and he looked down at his bandaged arms, biting his lips. “I have.” “My ears are open to bear your burden.”

So the elezen sighed, giving him his story since he ferried them to safety almost a decade ago. A tale of betrayal from his city-state, his church, and his people. How, he defended himself and bloodied his hands to spare and save the lives he deemed victims of misjudgement at the cost of his innocence. It was a tale of loneliness that no man should have the right to bear alone, and the man’s lips quivered.

“I…am deeply sorry you had to…if only I had known, we would have left Coerthas when you asked us to.” The hyur brushed back the loose, long hair behind his ear. Jacques shook his head. “Nay, it is my consequence to bear, for the sake of my virtues.” “No, Jacques, it should be ours to bear. You are a good man, through and through. And good men should be granted respite.”

“...It’s foolish to believe so, Hiro. I told you my tale and my sins, I do not deserve peace.” “Do you not wish for peace? I believe some break from the war can help you clear your head?” Gentle hands touched his rough and calloused palms from years of holding a spear and then a greatsword. “It is your decision if you desire to join us in our travels around the lands before we return to Hingashi. If anyone were to heckle you for your past, I will kindly chide them.”

He looked up into the calm, dark eyes of the Hingan, Hiro Kimura, glinting from a knowing smile on his face. For once, his grim facade lit up, returning the smile with his own.

5D's Episode 27... with an “Uncut” Dub?! (Re-Edited 4Kids Dub/Japanese OST - Revised)

“A World Without Light -- The Dark Synchro Frozen Fitzgerald!”/”A Web of Deceit (Part 1)″

Everybody listen!

Took long enough to finish up and polish (partly because of work and activism life actually picking up a bit), but here’s a brand-new “dub-uncut” episode! With my first few takes in episodes 23-26 newly revised, I was looking forward to working on 27 and starting fresh again, lol. In case this is the first you’re hearing about my mini-project here, let’s get you up to speed:

So, the official Spanish YGO channel on YouTube flubbed a few uploads of the 5D’s dub such that they ended up uploading a few episodes of the English dub instead of the Latin American dub (21-29)–but with none of 4Kids’s background music! Which meant that I could swoop in and re-insert the original Japanese soundtrack (which I did by matching each track to how it was looped in the episode), but I wanted to do more by also tweaking the dub itself so that not only was it matching the original footage, but the dialogue was more in line with the original dialogue timing-wise (since I couldn’t salvage much of what they changed). Hence, the “dubbed uncut” gimmick here. To this end, I’ve also used dialogue from Duel Links where applicable, or even borrowed audio from other episodes with the vocals isolated to lend to that effect.

So, this one was fun to do particularly because overall, save for the, er... butchering that happened on explaining the Dark Synchro mechanic (4Kids wut) and the rewrite of Carly’s interaction with her Editor-in-Chief (and making Carly a “blogger” lol), the dialogue was already more or less in line with the Japanese version, which meant that I was more or less just removing a lot of the fluff as I added back the OST. As I did in 22, 24, and 26, I added subs for the scenes where 4Kids rewrote things a bit too much for my taste (so, the scenes I mentioned above, but also the occasional line or a few), but of course these subs will be optional in the MKV I release on NAC for this. I also added back some SFX and tried to remove the dub’s replacement SFX in most cases, though I had to swap out the SFX as Speed Warrior was tuning with Junk Synchron since 4Kids had a tendency to add some new one over the original SFX and made it too loud to work with the Yusei chant I put there. And I translated the OP/ED credits in Last Train and CROSS GAME, revamping my singable lyrics a bit for Last Train while drafting new ones for CROSS GAME which I’ll post soon; you can see my Last Train translation in the second WIP video and CROSS GAME’s here. Full process breakdown below the cut.

Also, major thanks to yugidmx5 for providing A+ rips of the “The Day Begins/Tenpei” theme in the Carly/Angela scene, the “Vision of Tragedy” theme as Yusei and Ruka talk about the Satellite’s future, and the alternate “Dark Signers” tune which plays as we first see them and then again between the Dark Signer drones recruiting and Yusei chasing Dark-Signer!Dick down (before it transitions to the OST-released version once Yusei gets to the building under construction); I know that since these came out well, he’s working on better rips for some or most of the unreleased OST, so stay tuned there (I also drafted up a full version of the alternate DS theme, but had to get creative since they didn’t play all of it in this alternate style; will post soon). And thanks to Tiny Spider Productions, who provided the “shock” SFX playing as Carly sees Yusei’s arm actually glowing in her car, some inspo here/there for dialogue fixes, and provided CurtisH from CastingCallClub’s recording he did voicing a line from Tanner translating the original line about the four Signers they know which 4Kids cut short.

I hope folks enjoy! Just breezing through 28 often for lines to use here, I can tell it’s going to be a headache because they did throw in a lot more jankiness in the dialogue... So, fun. 🙃 Once I handle finalizing my subs for GX 56 (and possibly 57 due to how long this took), I’ll start drafting it out; stay tuned~

Breakdown, breakdown~

So, I used Duel Links audio for the twins to handle the Noteworthy/Showcased Cards bit (we’ll see if I still can in 28... And as the twins are voiced by Eileen Stevens in Duel Links but not yet in 5D’s [that happens in 65], bear with me lol), and I also translated the sign for this hardsub in Photoshop, masking in the Fitzgerald card and Rua and Ruka’s heads over it in Sony Vegas.

Moving to the episode proper, a second was trimmed from the shot of the stadium in the TV Rally/co are using once it tunes in, and I couldn’t properly loop the “Yusei!” shouts to cover it, so I just filled in the audio with the crowd just cheering. In the Carly/Angela scene, I removed Angela’s extra lines about her makeup and hair while Carly was getting ready, then tweaked Angela’s line on camera to remove her last name (which we never learn originally) and move her lines about “Fusei Yudo” winning to play sooner while removing Carly’s “one journalist to another” as she walks up to correct her (as this scene was rewritten, there are subs to show the original dialogue). Looped chants of “Yusei!” to remove his internal “pointing out the obvious” monologue before the OP.

After the OP, I used the JP audio to keep the doctors moving Jack quiet (hopefully you don’t notice the chants changing lol), then as Yanagi runs over, I replaced his bit about Yusei having “a brand new enemy�� in the media with “we should all get going” from 26. The Godwin/Lazar scene stays the same since it was accurate, but I did have to put the end of Rex’s “that’s the only thing that matters” line on another track so Lazar’s gasp would play when it should (they added a second to his talking in the dub). The Yusei/co scene in the tunnel stays mostly the same, just switched to the JP audio as the flashback to the Satellite vision happened, then as Yusei had a quick one before gasping, I recycled a gasp and a “hmm” from elsewhere to cover the commercial-inducing monologue they gave him in the dub. For the press conference scene, I thought about removing the one “That’s right, Ted” reporter’s line since he’s quiet originally, but thought “whatever,” and then I spaced out Carly’s line as she reads her fortune to match her Japanese line’s pace and remove some of the fluff. I switched to the JP audio after Carly asked about Yusei’s arm glowing to remove Rex’s comment over it, then stitched up a “Perhaps; still, I didn’t see that” mixing his line there with a “still” from 23. Carly’s line as she’s excited about Goodwin dodging her question (originally just “I’ll keep moving forward too!” [she references her fortune a lot more]) was longer in the dub, so I cut out the “which means I’m onto something” for use later. For Carly’s chat with her Editor-in-Chief, I included subs because of the rewrite, but I did shorten Carly’s line just before “bring some dirt and you might still have a job” which was lengthened by 4Kids. Removed a lot of Carly’s fluff as she began to watch the Yusei duel footage via the JP audio, then stitched together “Goodwin tried to give me that bit but [the whole world will know what Goodwin’s trying to hide]”, the latter bit coming from Carly’s monologue as she’s running at the end of the ep, then switched to the JP audio to remove Carly’s fluff about living in her car. Then, as we see the Dark Signers looming, because 4Kids removed the commercial break here, I kept only Demak and Kalin’s chuckling and Roman’s “lower the curtains” line over the desk shot, then looped some of his laughing from after the eyecatch to lead into it.

After the eyecatch, I made use of his “Goodwin assembled his Signers” bit, recycled a little chuckling, then cut Roman’s reference to Shakespeare to just the “tangled web” line (thanks to yugidmx5 also providing the SFX for this scene, I was able to move Roman’s laughing to play where it should after he releases his spiders). Moving to Yanagi drawing the Crimson Dragon, I only kept his “saw it the once” line while using Japanese Rua and Ruka’s interested gasps to fill a fluff gap, then combined two bits of audio to get a [slightly] awkward “t[ail]” to fix 4Kids’s dumb error claiming he had the Head birthmark; accordingly, made Leo say “What about it?” instead of “What about the Head?”. CurtisH’s line for Tanner comes in here, with a slight tweak or two to match the lip-flaps more, then JP audio as we see all the Signers so far to remove Leo’s dialogue. Meanwhile, for Jack’s hospital scene, I translated the “No Visitors” sign Mikage walks past (along with fixing “Atlus” to “Atlas”). The Dark Signer recruitment scene also gets some subs, then I used the JP audio from when we see Dark Signer!Dick walking to Yusei’s birthmark beginning to glow; yugidmx5 providing the SFX was a big help here, too. Yusei runs out to chase Dick down, and then when he sees him inside the under-construction building, I took “Who are you” from later in the episode, but added a more question-ending “u?” to flesh the sound out a bit (since the line was “Who are you and what’s going on”). I took “Fine, then” and “What are you planning to do to the Satellite” from 28 (which I’ll likely cut as it was added offscreen dialogue), and TSP provided a vocal-isolated cut of Dick’s line about his master (because 4Kids cut his shot short by a second or two and played it as the SFX for the zoomout as his Disk activated played).

They begin the duel, and here I just kept “What’s going on?” from the line I noted earlier, recycled some laughing from Dick to match the JP script, then shortened his line about their being offered up “by the light” to work with the new timing. Dick begins his turn, but I recycled an “It’s my turn now” line from later for accuracy, then his setting-a-card line is cut short at his ending his turn as Yusei looks on. Carly, driving nearby and seeing lights from the duel off in the distance, gets her reference to the Goodwin “sheen from Yusei’s Runner got in your eye” line that I cut replaced with the “I’m onto something” I noted before. Yusei gets a recycled “It’s my move!” line from 24 to start his turn, tweaked to remove the drawing SFX that happens in it, then to remove a dub SFX I used a Duel Links line to fill out “I activate the Tuning [Spell Card]”. “I summon Junk Synchron” comes from 24 (and “Level-2-or-below Monster from my Graveyard” comes from his Graceful Revival explanation in episode 3), then--thanks to Arian over on NAC reuploading some HQ dub episodes--a better-quality vocal rip of his “Level-3 Junk Synchron, tune with Level-2 Speed Warrior!” line from 87, along with a better-quality rip of his “From two come one” chant and “Form the road of light!” from Duel Links. Yusei shouts “Battle!” from Duel Links, then I slowed down his line at “[Attack his Blizzard Li]zard” to end it there (and remove the “warm Satellite welcome” fluff). As Blizzard Lizard’s effect activates, I combined an “I activate,” “Blizzard Lizard’s special ability,” and “now” for a better line than “Blizzard Lizard’s special ability is going on.” Yusei’s lines after being damaged and realizing he damaged Dick too are spaced out to match the JP script, then I borrowed Yusei’s line on setting two cards from episode 3. Then, when Dick plays Ice Mirror, I stitched up an explanation (since the Card Interruption does it for him) combining Call of the Haunted’s explanation with a few other pieces of dialogue (thanks to TSP for the inspo). I cut Dick’s “Now I’ll play” line there to remove the dub’s zooming-in SFX, and then made Dick’s line about his third Blizzard Lizard end right before the split-screen with all three of them to remove the dub’s split-screen SFX. I thought about replacing Yusei’s “three’s a crowd” line with “What’s that all about” from later, but couldn’t figure out a way to fill the line in before that, so I left it, but didn’t let Dick acknowledge it by just recycling “With that done” to replace “Well, how about [I release]”, then after Yusei reacts to his Dark Tuner, I recycled some chuckling to match the JP script and trimmed his line about its “power to extinguish;” the Dark Synchro “explanation” gets some subs to actually explain it, then I looped Carly’s panting as she runs to cover the “Goodwin’s trying to hide” line I moved to earlier, and recycled/amplified Dick’s laughing at various points through the ep to remove Yusei’s episode-ending monologue.

In the preview, I just recycled Yusei’s “No way...” and “A Dark Synchro Summon?!” while borrowing Carly’s lines about the Dark Tuner from 28, then Yusei’s line about getting his answers to end it. I had to speed up the OST version of the preview tune to match the pace here, then trimmed it and ended it with the JP audio for the quick fade-out.

Quackity took a step back at the venom in his ex-fiance’s voice, as Karl gasped and put a hand to his mouth with tears welling up in his eyes.

“Son. Don’t waste your time.” Bad said, putting a hand on Sapnap’s shoulder.

“Fine Dad.” Sapnap said, smiling. He then turned to the others, and frowned.

“Las Nevadas. Thin ice. Keep it there, and I won’t blow it up. For now.”

Everyone puts Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye in the "parents" category when it comes to the Elric brothers.

Roy and Riza are very much gremlin older siblings to the Elrics and I will stand on this hill.

Dear Trick or Treak 2017 creator

Hi there! I’m so glad you’ll be creating something for me. This is my first year participating, but I’m sure everything is going to go great :D

Below, you’ll find a list of my general likes, dislikes and fandom specific prompts. Happy creating!

General Likes: Polyamory, gen, het, slash, femslash, families of choice, competence, BAMF female characters, angst, hurt/comfort, teamfic, pretty much all the tropes especially if there is a twist, worldbuilding, humor, redemption, for want of a nail AUs, time travel, werewolves, crossovers, non fantasy/SF canons encountering the supernatural/aliens, fix it fics, etc.

Smut is fine, but I’d prefer that the focus is not on that.

General Dislikes: I’m not a great fan of permanent character death, rape, torture porn, underage stuff, infidelity, humiliation, character bashing, ship bashing, no powers AUs, love triangles, fake married/dating, incest, power imbalances in relationships, hate sex, hardcore kinks, necrophilia, PWP, abuse, fusions, zombies, 1st person POV

Crossovers: I love crossovers! Feel free to crossover any fandom here in any combination. I've elaborated more on crossover specific things in my Crossovering letter, so if you're feeling inspired to crossover, feel free to take a look:

Trick likes: To keep with the theme of the exchange, I'd love to get some darker stuff. Spooky stories, mysteries, horror, body horror, WEREWOLVES (all my love if you get some werewolves in there, whether the canon has them or not), creepy mythology and gods, ghosts, monsters, magic, sacrifices, ancient and abandoned places, grim takes on lighthearted canons or alternately grim events that keep the lighthearted tone of the canon, dark consequences to canon events (psychological or otherwise), dragons, sudden disappearance of the supernatural in fantasy/SF canons and the consequences and the reverse in non fantasy/SF canons, immortality, shapeshifting, apocalypses

Trick Do Not Wants: ZOMBIES. I'm pretty mellow about most things, since my dislikes are mostly covered above. But just...no zombies. Ever.

Treat likes: characters getting along and bantering, OT3s, characters not dying when they were supposed to, healing (especially if the canon is a relentless shitshow usually), happy or at least hopeful endings, found family, exploring the world/universe, friendly encounters with the supernatural/aliens, ancient knowledge regained with a good outcome, people working together, pets, sudden appearance of the supernatural in fantasy/SF canons in a good or funny way, magic returning to the world, rebuilding after an apocalypse

Art: I'm pretty sure I'd love any art! I love sketchy styles with maybe just a splash of color to draw the eye. As for subject matter, I'd love to see any scenes from the fandom specific prompts or stuff from my likes. Characters being affectionate, gentle touches, characters as werewolves, characters in fancy dress/costumes, characters doing magic are also all welcome.

Fandom specific prompts:

Crimson Peak: I am probably one of the few people requesting this fandom wanting happy, hopeful or silly things and completely disinterested in the fucked up dynamics between Thomas and Lucille.

Anything post canon would be great! What happens to the house? Does Edith get on with her life? Do the other ghosts find peace?

Or maybe an AU where Lucille never left the mental institution? What do the other characters' lives turn out like then?

It can be crack or taken more seriously. I've just wanted fic of this ever since I saw that post years ago.

Or perhaps a darker take on the trolls in the movie and their actions regarding Anna. Especially considering that creepy song they sang about her and Kristoff.

Scooby Doo: I'd love to see something with a modern take on the Scooby Gang. What would be different, what the same? OT4 totally welcome!

A crossover with Leverage would be amazing! Or even a fusion where the gang turns to less legal methods after discovering not all their masked criminals are so easy to keep in jail after being arrested, if they even are.

Friends: Murder mystery time! Ross gets gruesomely killed and his ghost is haunting the others. Can they discover who his killer is? Or does Ross' frustration at their inability to solve it make him less of a friendly ghost? Bonus points if it turns out it was just a really unfortunate accident that caused Ross to manifest out of the sheer indignity of having died like that.

Or maybe Phoebe actually does have or get supernatural powers?

Star Trek the Next Generation: I have a hard time shipping anyone in my childhood fandoms and STTNG definitely falls under that. I'd strongly prefer gen and (if you must) very background canon pairings only for this.

Anything where Q plays with the crew would be fun. Perhaps he traps them in a murder mystery game or a haunted mansion. Perhaps he introduces them to the supernatural?

I'd always wanted to see the Enterprise crew in something of an apocalypse scenario. Specifically, I think they would be great at rebuilding after something like that, especially with the philosophic underpinnings of the canon in that humanity constantly strives to better itself. It strikes me as a lovely hopeful thing in such a scenario.

Perhaps something in the far future where the Federation is gone, but records (especially of the Enterprise crew) remain and give hope for a better future?

Gargoyles: Anything to do with the Fae, especially Puck. What made him decide to reveal himself to Xanatos? What was he up to during the exile from Avalon?

The end of the show had the gargoyles reveal themselves to the public. What are the consequences of that? I'd love to see something where the gargoyle population comes back from the brink of extinction in the face of a friendlier human populace.

I also love the show's take on mythology where all things are true. Maybe something with Slavic mythology in that setting? More Norse mythology?

Discworld: Anything with Granny Weatherwax, Death or the Nac Mac Feegles. I love this setting, so pretty much anything will be great.

Lord of the Rings: For ultimate spooky, maybe something where Boromir and Faramir end up scouting Mordor or are captured in Minas Morgul? How would they escape, what horrors would they see?

Any scenario where Boromir lives would be great. Or Boromir interacting with the elves, especially once he remembers they actually participated and lived through battles he read about.

I have a total inexplicable soft spot for Boromir/Arwen, so something with them would also be great!

Ages ago, I read a fic where elves returned to Earth during the present day. I'd love such a scenario where the magic also returns and so does the memory of starlight in Men.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: I'm sure my fic and tumblr make it fairly obvious Loki is my favorite character. That said, I am also fond of the other Thor characters, the GOTG crew and the Iron Man crew.

Unlikely team ups would be great, especially between characters that have never interacted before. Characters forced to work together to survive or just stuck together snarking at one another.

Something with Loki's shapeshifting or children would be amazing, especially translated for the MCU setting. Genderfluid Loki is a big plus!

Involuntary werewolf Loki for extra angst to go with his jotun heritage? Yes please!

Maybe the world ends once Thanos gets his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet, but Tony and Loki somehow manage to travel back in time to prepare?

Instead of Thanos and the Chitauri, perhaps the GOTG crew finds Loki? Or the Ravagers?

The Defenders: Anything where Jessica and Matt interact! I loved them in the show. Extra super bonus points for Foggy as well.

Foggy representing Jessica would be great.

Colleen, Misty and Claire mutual admiration society! Maybe the two of them help Misty adjust to her new bionic arm?

Also dragons! Maybe some dragons survived somewhere? How did they even get to Earth? How did the people in Kun Lun discover that their bones can bring back the dead/heal people? I want all the dragon stuff.

Revising this one didn’t take too long, since I was already pretty happy with how things came out originally; check out the original breakdown post here for more details on how what edits went into that. As I looked through it this time, all I really did was tweak audio levels and add SFX here/there and crossfade some lines of dialogue better, as well as make the reverb effects on the MC and thought lines consistent with how I’ve done them in prior episodes. I did also manage to stitch together an explanation from Yusei for Meteor Stream (I’d left Japanese Yusei’s explanation intact with subs before since I didn’t think I could, but I tried to stitch something together this time); I think I combined audio from episodes 24 and earlier in 26 with some Duel Links lines. I tried to make it crossfade well and sound as best as I could, so hopefully it’s not too jarring; you can hear it in the REDO WIP #1 video. yugidmx5 over on NAC also helped get a better-sounding “Absolute Powerforce!!” shout from Jack in episode 5 so I can mix it up with the Duel Links line and make it have a bit more umph.

Also, as I did with 22 and 24, I added subs in some parts where the dub went too far into right field and deviated from the Japanese script--for things like card effect explanations, Godwin’s plot thoughts, and that ending scene as Yusei tells Jack why he lost. As before, when I release it on NAC, these subs will be optional.

Enjoy folks! Now that 21-26 are all done and finalized, I’ll get to try dub-uncutting the early Dark Signer episodes! Should be neat. I’ll work on 27 after I finalize my GX 54 subs and deal with Manjoume taking on his mini-me. rip nani ka na nani ka naaa maybe
