I firmly believe Aaron has no real self esteem and is truly a selfless person due to childhood trauma and it's all really just a mask his alpha personality...let us save him. He's such a vulnerable person. I really believe it shows deep down through the lines in the series, in the things he does or does not...the things he says or doesn't say.
