Noctis was in a wrinkled T-shirt and sweat pants when Gladio came in, a hurricane of movement and noise as usual. Not like Prompto’s clatter– but he was definitely lively and almost jarring to somebody who’d been laying around half-watching TV most of the day.

“Not into getting your hair braided and nails done, I take it?” He teased, voice hoarse from disuse.

Noctis looked around at the untidy heap he’d been stretched out in– pillows and blankets, snacks on the table. Luckily it wasn’t nearly as bad as it had been before he’d graduated high school. One might say he had his shit more together than ever… or he was just better at hiding it.

“Gods, now I have to get up and move. I was doing a totally great job of not existing, and now you just have to turn up.” He was, however, perfectly happily making room on the couch– not hiding the small smile gracing his lips.

“Wow, what a burden I am. I feel so sorry for you.” Gladio replied in a flat monotone as he sat himself down and put the dvd in. It was just some action flick, but it didn’t matter what it was... He knew neither of them were going to pay much attention to in favor of just talking shit as usual.

Reaching over, he plopped a box of donuts on Nocts lap, opening it and instantly stealing the cremefilled one. “So.” He took a deep breath and glanced on over. “Ignis giving you shit?” He figured Specks would, in his own very subtle way, disapprove of how the young prince chose to spend his free time. Of course Gladio didn’t either, but he was so much more lenient. So long as Noct wasn’t doing hard drugs and drinking constantly, he was fine with the ‘young and wild’ phase.

“What ARE you doing nowadays anyway?” Honestly? Gladio had no idea. They usually didn’t talk about this stuff over the phone, and he could only visit so often... In truth, he missed Noct. Sassy, snarky, sleepy little asshole that he was, he was his only real friend.
