appearance description :: bliss dresses in cute yet extravagant ribbon-filled clothing. the more bows, lace, and frills it has on it, the better it becomes in hyr eyes. hy has long pink hair — or would it be ‘had’? no; vera’s hair simply shifts to better match her current outfit, albeit with a sort of “punk” style to it. queen maintains a perfectly clean outfit even when actively maiming someone, as she tends to use machines or traps to do the work for her. all of queen’s traps share queens sense of extravagance, whether it be glitter-laced acid tanks, ribbon-made nets, butterfly shaped axes or candy-colored saws. mercy names zir traps after the people they’ve killed: kimiko the axe, lance the acid tank, delilah the razor wire… it helps keep her company in an otherwise lonely maze. lace has pink eyes, but when other gets murderous, intense, or obsessive, they turn a bloody red. unknown to hyr guests, gur has knives strapped to guro legs underneath guro frilly skirts. if any guests try to disobey or break the rules, mercy is quick to cut them down to size.

personality description :: cheerful, sweet and bouncy, queen is the perfect example of pristine behavior. zie is friendly and welcoming to the guests who “visit” her section of the mind. visitors are invited for tea and cakes… but they taste odd… are they- drugged? indeed they are. anyone who has dared to step into satin’s realm will become a new participant in hyr games whether they want it or not. the thoughts that lie behind those eyes are so diabolical and downright torturous that it makes even the devil weep. in satin’s eyes, everything is just one extravagant game. why, you ask? well… why not? things come and go, so why not play with it a little? gambling your life away is a small choice to make with a big impact! at least, if you die, that is. queen is sadistic and revels in the pain of others. seeing hyr captives beg in fear strengths hyr resolve to chase them down and make them work for their freedom. if someone wants to live so badly, then show it! fight for it! how can your life truly be lived if all you do is cower and hide from the things that scare you?! velvette intends to instill its system mates with a deep and powerful will to live and survive — though, in all truth, this doesn’t always work. it hasn’t stopped her from trying.

episode 2

i know what they're trying to do with the gay snake. you can't force it. the team rocket pathetic villain thing has to be written with care and love. you have to earn it from the audience.

see. perhaps in a better show i would be a little more open to their attempts to give the rapist pimp character some comedic undertones. however, i know this is being done because they have merch to sell of the rapist pimp character! so, my good will is lost entirely!

the more of alastor i get. the less i like. it's so fucked up that this show is making me dislike a deer. how can you do that to me, that's cruel.

they want me to find him scary and funny and appealing. but it's so...try-hard? the zomg so scary creepypasta style faces he makes aren't helping. he smells like a writer's pet and not a fun one.

why does this equivalent to a halfway house have a bar.

the little silly gal voiced by kimiko glenn? she's silly and fun. her schtick is going to run dry by the end of the episode if they don't change it up.

angel dust and valentino's dynamic has potential. but i dont have the faith in the writing to pull it off.

otherwise. i think the worst feeling inspired is...boredom. i'm not particularly attached to any of these characters yet, the only real interest i have is with angel dust who's relationship with valentino has been foreshadowed. he's somewhat decent when his dialogue isn't sex joke and sexual harassment.

ok since I’m watching channel zero again I will say again no end house au. I haven’t read the creepypasta just seen the tv adaptation but the personification of your grief coming to you and manipulating you into believing you can have your old life with a deceased person who held a lot of significance to you, the ideal version of a neglectful/estranged parent, or dream life with a concept of something that never existed but you crave/have sought after in exchange for it feeding off of your memories until you as a person essentially don’t exist anymore because everything about you has been taken. butcher’s manifesting as Becca and Lenny. hl’s creating a family for him similar to the caged family stuck in the no end house. I don’t even think Hughie’s would be Robin if I’m being honest I think it would be similar to the creation of a “better” version of yourself. Kimiko with her brother. I think Annie with a version of her mother that isn’t Like That and even her father being there. I just have a lot of feelings about this and how these characters are perfect for the concept. how do you make these people leave this thing that occupies their mind especially in the case of a loved one being involved? finally getting that comfort and/or familiarity back and having to face that that will never be your life again? I don’t have anything else to add it just hurts and I love to think about it.

Which of your own projects have shaped your writing the most? in what way?

Ooooh okay this is an interesting question!! Hm... I suppose The Ruins of Memory is what kind of made me aware of the fact that I love writing about big deep themes but with elaborate metaphors and I'm a little obsessed with stories that have super elaborate deeper meanings. Fuck me up with that good good symbolism. If that makes sense. Idk if this makes any sense but who knows!

I don't think I'm answering this that well, I'm just super into stories with tons of symbolism and The Ruins of Memory is what started that trend I think.

Where do you begin a WIP? ex: a mood, a scene, a certain character dynamic, etc. does this differ per project?

This really differs from project to project, but most of the time my WIPs start with a Vibe that I chase and microwave in my head until it turns into something. Either that, or I start with a single character and ask myself, "What is the point of this character? What are they doing? What's around them?" I'm not fully sure how to explain it, so I'll just list some WIPs and what they started with.

Bleeding Over Eden - the concept of a character who already had their big supernatural adventure and now must deal with the aftermath

For We Are Both Fragile Things - literally just started with a desire to outline exactly what happened between Ink and Arthur, and then it expanded

The Ruins of Memory - the vague vibe of a world healing from its past

CUDAAS - literally just a desire to have my own angel and demon OCs

A Modern Ghost Story - literally it all started with me making my OC Juno (which started b/c of a poorly-executed creepypasta that had a good concept)

God Died With Wooden Bones - the vaguest possible vibe of memory and trauma, and the idea of finding a long-dead god in the forest

I've finally gotten around to posting the first chapter of my Creepypasta au fanfic on Archive of Our Own.

The main character is an oc of mine named Kimiko. She's not necessarily meant to be only a Creepypasta oc though, I may use her for some of my original works. This is mainly for fun and practice.

I'd wanted to do something a bit more complicated with the background but it took a bit too long and paint doesn't let you save the pic in progress without flattening all the layers.

I liked how it came out regardless tbh.

So I fiddled around in Ibis Paint X with a photo of a rural road I found off Google in an attempt to make something scary with my character Kimiko. I don't think I succeeded, but it was good to practice.

I probably shouldn't have outlined Kimiko but by that point I'd merged the layers and couldn't really do anything about it. She just sticks out a little too much compared to her flesh limbs behind her.

Finally put together a (admittedly not very good) ref sheet for my oc Kimiko.

Some of the information on here only applies to my Creepypasta Au version of Kimiko. I'll have to make a general character sheet for her at some point.

The first thing that can be noticed about Kimiko is that she's quiet and detached. Though this only applies when she's around people, as she was isolated most of her life by her father due to her condition and never properly learned how to socialize with people. There was a short period in her late teenage years when she attempted to connect with the outside world, but it ended horribly and the experience traumatized her. After that, she decided it was best to isolate herself away from humanity and the world in general.

Despite her seemingly nonconfrontational nature, she has zero tolerance for anyone showing her disrespect. While her father Noboru made many mistakes with raising Kimiko, some of which she doesn't realize or outright denies, he never tried to go out of his way to make her feel like terrible about herself. If anything, he might've overdone it since, in some circumstances, Kimiko will go out of her way to look like the smartest person in the room. While Kim is intelligent, even she isn't immune to messing up due to overconfidence in whatever plans she's made.

Kimiko actually does like to dote and care for people, though this is a part of her personality that's only been shown for her daughter in recent years. If she were to end up befriending anyone, she'd end up being the mom friend.

Kim does suffer from body image issues, stemming from the fact that she constantly has to force her body to even stay in a humanoid shape most of the time. In order to even sleep, Kim has to chain herself down to her bed frame. Otherwise, her body will go out and assimilate/eat people against her will. In general, Kimiko becoming unconscious means her body has the opportunity to go do whatever it wants. She also goes out of her way to avoid reflective surfaces and hasn't ever seen her own face due to an unnatural shadow that's been covering it for as long as she can remember.

- Kimiko can't swim. In general, being in a body of water feels extremely uncomfortable to her, hence why she's never bothered to learn. In general, Kimiko tends to stay away from large bodies of water.

As far as Kimiko's interests go, she enjoys mostly creative hobbies. She got into doll making to fill the void she felt from the isolation ever since she was a child. Though even at a young age she enjoyed sewing together outfits for the dolls her father would give her. She also enjoys drawing and painting, as it gives her a way to express herself and reinforce her arguably weak sense of identity that she hardly feels she has due to her issues with her body.

Since Kim feels so little control in her life, she feels the need to be hyper-rational about everything. She'll deny the existence of the supernatural despite being in that category herself. She also doesn't believe in any higher power.

Kimiko's general style is very feminine and cutesy, and her favorite colors are pink and purple.

Extra:

- Kimiko was born with human organs in her body, though most of them are redudant due to how her body works. Kimiko is particularly protective of her brain, seeing as it's the only thing that makes her, well, her. It's possible that if she were to be rendered brain dead, her body would have full control.

- Animals (barring those that are supernatural in nature.) don't like Kimiko very much. They will either attack or flee from her. Normal humans in general are just kinda creeped out by her, though there are exceptions.

- Kimiko's body occasionally talks to her. Kimiko refers to the entity that speaks to her as "Her".

- She's very much inspired by The Thing, and also partially by the Outer God Shub-Niggurath as far as her abilities go.

- Kimiko did have a boyfriend at one point. The relationship didn't end well for either Kim or her boyfriend, but it did lead to Rin being born.

- Kimiko has self-harm scars caused by her sliding heated metal across her wrists and thighs. She's only ever done with it heated metal because her regeneration doesn't work on burns. She has a few larger scars as well that were caused by the Rake after the creature invaded the shack Kimiko and her father lived in when she was 13, which nearly killed her. It's unknown why the scars caused by the Rake haven't healed properly.

- She currently resides in a ramshackle cabin somewhere deep in Appalachia with her daughter Rin. Kim's father disappeared when she was around 13 after going out to find the monster that nearly killed Kimiko.

I did two versions because I thought the original (On the left) was a bit too dark, though I wasn't entirely fond of the lightened up one on the right so I just decided to post both.

Also for a dumb meme comic I actually like how this one turned out, coloring wise at least.

Nothing to update on other than this W.I.P. pic of my oc kimiko in Paint I drew after I found out they added a layers function to the program. Spent two days shading just her sweater and i'm not even done with that part yet.
