10/16/19, morning shift

at one of my jobs, we spin a bottle on a stack of napkins to make them look all pretty. this is what i was doing for a good 5min, then this big dude walks in, probably around late 40′s-early 50′s. I take his order, give him his receipt, and go back to the napkins. the counter is pretty long, so im at the end closest to the registers. this is because most people who annoyingly wait for the food by the counter stay close to the other end, as it’s by the drinks and where they’d be gathering their food anyway. big dude gets his drink and stands right in front of me. 

i consciously just stare at the napkins and try to avoid eye contact. 

big dude: that’s one long game of spin the bottle.

me: ha ha ya issa lonely game today (insert awkward laugh)

big dude: well, i guess doing that helps eliminate people grabbing so many, huh?

me: oh yeah, some people leave big piles on the table and we can't reuse them, so i end up just throwing them away

big dude: hmm.. well, you cant blame them, those burgers are just so big and juicy

me: ..............yup.................

big dude proceeds to stand there until my coworkers from the back line call my name and he leaves to sit down.

they laugh at the interaction and tell me they’ll take over if he comes back. one of them says “i dunno what happens when men reach that age, that they think they can say stuff like that”. both of them are male, so i appreciate them noticing, but still. seriously, what age does that happen

Creepy older men magnet...

Is it just me or is anybody else getting Facebook messages from random older men that are just cringe worthy and such an annoyance? Just this morning I got ANOTHER message. It’s really sad because they try to play dumb at first then they go for it. Don’t start with “hello, then write how are you?” I DON’T KNOW YOU DON’T ASK HOW  I AM DOING ESPECIALLY IF I HAVE NOT REPLIED TO YOU!!!!!!! I try to be polite because in my line of work there is potential clients that do reach out through social media; however once you’ve gotten enough of these Facebook messages you can spot it real quick. after u confirm you’re not looking for a home that’s when you start with the “ You’re so beautiful, I’d love to get to know you Bull S***.” That’s so ANNOYING! Don’t do that. 1. You’re dumb as hell for going on my profile and seeing a picture of me in my wedding dress with my husband and son and still have the gall to message me this crap. 2. if you think I’m the type of woman to cheat in ANY way shape or form you’re delusional. 3. What kind of man goes after a married woman after she tells you yes I’m happily married and not interested. After you’ve just asked that dumb as F*** question. A non-man that’s who. 4. Isn’t it a little too Cliche you hitting on younger women??? come on bro. You are NO George Clooney! 5. You are NO George Clooney, is a rule in itself over 10 year age difference then don’t f****** think about it. Seriously what would you have in common? Don’t say its physical because that is one sided feeling and its not ours. 6. You are probably married and are disgusting either be faithful or get a divorce although shes better without you. 7. Don’t use Facebook for dating; they have sites for that you cheap perv.
