Insatiable hunger... frozen woods... lost... inhuman... depraved.

For some, wendigos are a travesty of legend but for others, they are as real as the air we breathe. The bone-chilling tale of the wendigo originates from Algonquian Native American folklore and is the horrifying result of brutal starvation and desperation. A lone hunter strayed from the path, becoming trapped in a snowy wasteland, succumbs to the gnawing craving to fill the hole in his gut... with human flesh. Having grown fond of the flavour, the hunter consumes more and more. With each victim, the hunter finds his humanity slipping away, his body becoming more and more bestial. The hunger does not dissipate either, in fact, it only grows stronger with each passing kill. Yet, the hunter cannot stop himself. He continues to feast on human flesh until he turns into something hardly human. A wendigo. They are said to have the ability to replicate human cries, drawing its victims deeper into the woods and towards their death. You have always been something of an anomaly.  You have never quite fit in. You may seem normal enough but it is as if you don't quite fit into line with everyone else. It is this disconnect which connects the wendigo to you. Maybe you were once a target but now, you are a curiosity. It has dismissed its hunger pangs to observe you. Maybe you remind it tragically of the life it once had. Whatever the reason, it desires to protect that spark you carry, that which should never be extinguished. You have since become rather isolated, putting up a facade to keep others at bay. Perhaps it is this isolation which causes you to lose touch with humanity or the connection with those around you. Maybe you are the type to eat away your problems. 

    Just remember: stick to the path,

                        You never know where desperation may lead you...

Killian had found himself in wonderland once again, He was walking down a yellow path that looked like it was just the same trees over and over again. Killian started to get annoyed with the never-ending forest.

“This path will go forever” a voice spoke from the branches above. “Hm- Who is there?” Killian stopped in his tracks looking around. “Cheshire cat~ Y/n l/n” she swung down, hanging upside down from a tree branch. “And your captain hook. Welcome back.” She grins. “To wonderland~”

“Oh? My name is known?” Killian smirks. “Known? Nothing is known here. Here known is nothing” She swings up to lie on the branch giving Killian a better view of herself. She had long magenta and pink hair, Her eyes were teal with cat-like pupils. Her grin turns into a creepy smile. “Are you lost, captain?”

Killian squinted his eyes looking at her, “Are you sure you're a cat love?” She blinks, losing her creepy smile, stunned for a second. “Your right, Or is it your wrong? I am the Cheshire cat” She hesitates before grinning and swinging back, Hanging upside down now with cat ears and a tail that matches her hair. Killian blinks and rubs his face, “How-” “How who?” She giggles swaying her tail. “You are odd, Love” He puts his hook under her chin. “And pretty”

She grins, “Is it true curiosity killed the cat?” He asks. “Curiosity? Curiosity is dangerous here, There's too many scary paths” she swings so she's sitting on the branch. “Where would the scary paths be?” He asked, Curiously. “Over there” She points in the direction opposite of her using her tail. “Over where?” He looks around, “over what?” She tilts her head. “The scary path” He says confused but assumed oddly. “There's many scary paths here.” She grins creeply again. “Your mad love” He chuckles softly looking up at her. “I’m mad, You're mad. We’re all mad here Captain.” “I’m not mad, love.” He grabs her ankle. “Of course you are Captain, Otherwise you wouldn’t be here.”

Killian bites his lip and scuffs, “you're an odd cat y/n.” She smiles and nods, “Your learning already, Now remember follow the yellow road” She grins before disappearing into ribbons leaving her grin there for a few moments before disappearing into sparkly dust. Killian backs up looking around, “whoa-“ He smirks and continues down the yellow path, that ended up leading to more yellow paths…

Why Corazon ❤️‍🔥and Law's 🐯 relationship isn't Father and son coded!

Here's an small thread to why, canonically speaking, Cora and Law don't have this kind of relationship even when Law were younger.

Now, I'm not stupid. I know what you're gonna say "ofc you would say that, you're one of the freaks". That's why I'm writing this,

to prove that there's no freaks here. And is all a matter of point of view and interpretation!

Enough said, let's be straight to the point.

We have some kind of interesting found family dynamics in One piece!

Like Uta and Shanks,

Nami, her sister and Bellemere,

Luffy and his brothers.

Sanji and Zeff,

Zoro and Kuina

Franky and Tom,

And etc.

But all these side characters happen to substitute their problematic or non existent family! That's how Oda writes.

In Law's case, he had a father and had a mother and a sister. So none of this could ever be substituted. He loved them very much and carried them in his memory, his hat and then in his life. Since he becomes a doctor after all!

He never admitted to see Cora this ways. Never ever. And isn't like he had no opportunities.

"But he's too cold for that!"

Nuh uh!

He openly tells Luffy that "Doflamingo killed someone he loved a long time ago."

Till then, we have never see he open this much.

And while we have characters like Sanji, who's pride can be bigger than Luffy's hungriness, the Cook didn't lost the opportunity to tell his true (shit) father, who's really is his dad. Zeff. Who took care and also saved him.

And when I say "took care ", is really raising a teenager he saved from starving. Not kidnapping! (ilv u Cora)

We have to keep on mind, that Cora and Law only got together for 6 months alone. But even that, was enough to make Law (kind of creeply) obsessed with Cora.

Again, Canon only, the way Law See's Cora's is unique. He is his benefactor (was), his savior. Being deep honest, Law sees him like some kind of Jesus. A religious figure. That he holds in his heart and in his daily life.

Cora inspired him in his Jolly Roger, in his tattoos, in his pirate crew name, in everything!

He felt so grateful to that man, he loved him so much it surpass any kind of love.

It's different from Zeff and Sanji,

different from Nami and Bellemere,

Different from Uta and Shanks

Different from any kind of confirmed family relationship

(even Perona and Moria are confirmed)

Law is basically christian at this point and Cora is his religion!

That's how Oda decided to portray them.

BUUUUUT

as OBVIOUS as it is, yes, Of course you can still see them like father and son if you want. You can see them as bros, as roomies, idk. You're free to do whatever you want!

Because that's what's One piece is about.

However, don't go around saying they're canonically father and son, just because you feel that way.

Don't harm others because of your own opinion.

"I... Of course I had a childhood, Alice!" Gwen complains, trying not to pout. She had tricked herself into believing that her new promotion into external research would've come with some extra respect from her coworkers. It didn't.

Colin only mumbled something about suicidal ideas and "do you know what you're dealing with" before going back to his usal cutting cabbles and threatining the computers. Sam, well, Sam was actually very enthusiastic about the future results of her research. It was quite nice. She honestly didn't care much about Celia. New people often didn't stay and she had no reason to think Celia would just because she was acting creeply non-affected by the whole awfull job of cursed stories ordeal.

And there was Alice. That one was on Gwen. She should've known better than to expect that Alice would change, likely Alice doesn't even know what being respectifull meant.

"A boooring chidlhoold." Alice said, her attention still mostly in her computer scream. Playing solitaire. Somehow Alice managed to find a way to do barely any work and never have any backlog and Gwen had gave up on discovering how.

"It wasn't boring." It really was. Her parents took formality very seriusly and had a tendency to see childrem as small adults. But sometimes they had nice trips and Gwen liked to play office or lawyer. Besides she usually had fun with her cousin, well, when he wasn't using picking her up from school as an excuse to pass by his weed dealer or forgetting her in places. Honestly he was still a better deal than the babysitters. At least for her social life.

Alice raised an eyebrow.

"I was a very well-dressed child." It was not a defense of anything. It was basically a non-sequitor but Gwendolyn needed to protect her family from the insult of having a child with a less than perfect childhood and her mind went blank (probably because of stress. It wasn't really a bad childhood was it?).

"Oh no." Alice said in a ton that was actually sympathetic. "Please tell me your parents didn't force you into formal wear."

It was soo sincere that Gwen sort of broke (and it was just because Alice was rarely sincere and not because the other woman was really attractive in a soft way when sincere).

"My older cousin once told us that if we didn't look presentable we would be switched by an evil regency body hopper." Alice giggled delighted and it was all that was needed for Gwen to keep going. "When I pointed out he was the only one in informal wear he turned to me and told me, as if the biggest secret, that the reason he was always smoking was because the evil georgian tracked bouchards by smell and the weed kept him hidden."

"What a delightfully strange cousin." Alice said. "Maybe your childhood was not all that boring. Maybe it's just you."

Gwen frowed. All the good feelings from before turning into smoke and going slowly away.

"I don't know why I still even talk to you."

Alice opened her mouth, likely to tell another joke. But stopped.

"It was a nice story, Gweeeen, no idea why you told me, specially knowing that now I will want more absurd tales from Tiny Gwen as the blood payement for surviving this place, but it was nice. "

It was an olive branch if Gwen ever saw one.

And even if things never became actually good between them, even if she woke up tomorrow feeling dumb for thinking Alice cared, even if it would make her fantasies of kissing Dyer worse. Gwen took it.

"I have enough stories for it. But don't expect then for free, I'll trade for biscuits, Celia mentioned you have a secret stash."

"Dammit Sam." Alice mumbled but she was smilling.
