Household 24 - Who's getting action?
Parties could be places for romance, which worked out better for some than others.
When Peter arrived at the party, he quickly approached Gemini and asked if she wanted to hang out in her room.
Please he bypassed her sister, Aphrodite, to ask, she agreed immediately.
Gemini knew, as host she probably shouldn't ignore her guests in favour of just one, but when Peter paid attention to her, she just couldn't help it.
Meanwhile, Caelum headed into Europa's bedroom, asking her to join him. He quickly stripped down and patted the bed, hoping she would join him.
Europa was pretty horrified. She knew Caelum was a romance Sim, but she had known him since he was a baby. Sure, he was an adult now and could make adult decisions, but she was not interested.
She was quite clear when she told him she was not interested.
On his way out, he saw Aphrodite and decided to see if she had the same qualms as her older sister. She did not.

Velveteen vs The Masterpost
When I was in high school, I stumbled across Seanan McGuire’s series of “Velveteen vs.” stories, staring Velma “Velveteen” Martinez, a former child superhero with the power to animate toys, who stumbles from one misadventure to the next. Taking place in a world where superheroics is run almost entirely by a single corporation and child heroes are put through some of the worst abuses of child stars, the series features fun characters, worldbuilding, and relationships, and of course, cool fight scenes. In true comics fashion, it ends on a rather open-ended note and, as far as I can tell, she hasn’t written any stories since 2017, but most of the main arcs are tied up and I definitely recommend you check them out!
(I became obsessed with these stories after finding them. An example of me getting into comics before I actually got into comics.)

Dread by the Decade: The Most Dangerous Game
👻 You can support me on Ko-fi ❤️
★★
Plot: A count hunts wealthy people for sport on his private island.
Review: A disturbing concept is undone by a slashed budget, shallow characters, offensive stereotypes, and pacing so rushed it veers into comical.
Source Material: "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell Year: 1932 Genre: Psychological Horror Country: United States Language: English Runtime: 1 hour 3 minutes
Director: Ernest B. Schoedsack Writer: James Ashmore Creelman Cinematographer: Henry W. Gerrard Editor: Archie Marshek Composer: Max Steiner Cast: Joel McCrea, Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, Leslie Banks
------
Story: 1.5/5 - No time is allotted for tension to build or characters to develop. What should have been an epic game of cat-and-mouse is just two characters briefly running from dogs.
Performances: 2/5 - McCrea and Wray are dull, and Armstrong gives one of the worst performances of a drunk person I've ever seen. Banks' efforts are overshadowed by an atrocious "Russian" accent.
Cinematography: 3.5/5 - Some beautiful wide shots.
Editing: 3.5/5
Music: 2/5 - Overbearing.
Effects: 4/5 - The shipwreck effects are delightful.
Sets: 4/5 - Beyond the shipwreck, the sets are the best part of this film.
Costumes, Hair, & Make-Up: 2/5 - Fine until you get into the ethnic caricatures.
youtube
Trigger Warnings:
Mild violence
Offensive caricatures of Eastern Europeans
Alcoholism

This magnificent framed poster is printed at the highest resolution and thick specially coated paper for maximum detail and color brilliance. You will be amazed at the bright brilliant colors, contrast and detail of the print. King Kong is a 1933 American pre-Code monster adventure film[4] directed and produced by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack. The screenplay by James Ashmore Creelman and Ruth Rose was developed from an idea conceived by Cooper and Edgar Wallace. It stars Fay Wray, Bruce Cabot and Robert Armstrong, and opened in New York City on March 2, 1933, to rave reviews. It has been ranked by Rotten Tomatoes as the fourth greatest horror film of all time[5] and the thirty-third greatest film of all time. The film portrays the story of a huge, gorilla-like creature dubbed Kong who perishes in an attempt to possess a beautiful young woman (Wray). King Kong contains stop-motion animation by Willis O'Brien and a music score by Max Steiner. In 1991, it was deemed "culturally, historically and aesthetically significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.[7] A sequel quickly followed with Son of Kong (also released in 1933), with several more films made in the following decades.

Downtownies 3
Needed something to do with all those uni graduates that Delilah's kids hauled back to the hood with them. This tent city is for students from the colleges. There's another one for Hood Kids, but there's only one Sim left there at the moment.
While Allison Mellon and Lisa Creelman finish up their dinner, Jane starts on her LTW by adopting two cats. They like Jane just fine, they refuse to acknowledge each other. I swear, Pepper and Noodles were the only pets any of my Sims have had that acknowledged each other. The next day, Allison starts her LTW with Charlie Tsang. She just needs more friendship points to score #1.
Days of looking in the newspaper and Lisa has finally found her LTW in Journalism. Now, let's see how fast they all can earn some money to improve their skills. In the background is where other uni students who died from disease have gone to rest.

Household 24 - Katherine comes over after school and Peter drops by
Although Katherine is now at high school, Helo and Ares are still among her best friends. Them being Aliens didn't change that, and neither will an age gap.
Helo is shy towards most people, but for Katherine he is willing to show off.
"Thank you for dinner, Venus. Your cooking is amazing, as always." Katherine admired her friends' older sister.
"What scene should we work on next?" Ares asked as they ate their meal. The three has been working hard on making a film together.
"Let's keep working on the script for the attack sequence, since Elle isn't here to put it together."
Helo and Elle were happy supporters of the project, but it was Katherine and Ares' project.
"One day, you'll be a famous director and everyone will study this film because it is your first." Katherine was convinced it would happen.
Later that evening, Peter dropped by.
"Oh, I didn't realize Europa and Venus would be out. With the boys asleep, I guess it's just the two of us." He said, all innocence.
They hung out for a while, Peter being Peter, and Gemini wondering if he would ever choose her, and hoping that he would.
Eventually, Peter made a move and the two stripped down as they enjoyed each other on the couch.
Afterwards, as they cuddled, Gemini could only hope Peter knew how good this felt and decided that he really wanted this, wanted her.

Cape Cod for Leslie Close’s 80th birthday. Sister Barbara was my roommate in college in Germany. We drove with 2 other gals to Istanbul ( not Constantinople) in Barb’s little red VW Bug. That the world could be so different! I was addicted to travel. Istanbul was my gateway drug.
1969 my parents moved to Hilton Head when much of the island was still so Gullah. So much history. I met Leslie there. Barb, Les, and I took a barge trip down the Mississippi in Feb. I was 20 yrs old. Leslie and I continued on with a AAA book and my muffler-less Volvo. Drove through Texas down to Mexico City. The Anthropology Museum blew my mind. Then on my 21st bday we drove past Teotihuacán. It was early but the guard let us in. Pyramid of the Sun and Moon. Only us with the guard on a bright and cool morning. Magic trip #2. So I knew the Close family well. SisterJoey came to the party. Tiny could not make it. Lynne Creelman arranged all the partying. What a gift. 9 old gals slept in their Cape Cod home. I spent 2 nights sharing the sofa couch with an 83 yr old Italian gal. 😘So fun. Marsha Bryant and partner from Brevard, NC, Lynn’s sister/brother & wife, the local rat pack ladies. All and all great merriment, fabulous food(Lynne), a trip to the tip at Provincetown, a lecture on Nantucket whaling history, the dunes and National Seaside. I enjoyed Lynne and Leslie’s hospitality for 10 days as spring blossomed- daffodils, forsythia, magnolias and the birds a cacophony of delight.
I loved those two little dogs!
