Household 18 - The Hunt family in Three Lakes
Matthew was pleased with the progress he made with the Mayor of Three Lakes, but he wanted to take advantage of his time with the family as well.
He sat down with Nathan to have The Talk, since he deemed his son old enough.
He didn't just tell him about the birds and the bees, which was awkward and Nathan already knew about from school.
He also laid out for his son how important finding the right partner was for the heir. For instance, given the current climate, an alien partner would not be ideal.
Nathan pointed out that his younger sister, Katherine, was best friends with several aliens, and he hadn't been aware his dad had anti alien sentiments.
Matthew assured his son that he did not, but this was political. It might also benefit the family if Katherine found an alien partner, but she was too young for The Talk anyway.
Nathan adored his younger sister. He didn't like all the pressure of being heir, but he did understand the duty of protecting his family.
Liz was proud of her husband for having The Talk with their son. It made her want to spend time with Matthew, contemplating the birds and the bees if you know what I mean...
"Gross!"
Liz and Matthew took their amorous feeling where they wouldn't bother their son.

The most dramatic thing, which I am still not over, was when Andrew Hunt set fire to his kitchen while writing his final exam.
Andrew Hunt was the heir in Huntsville. He was the desperately wanted first son of Aaron and Alicia Hunt, their fourth child and their last. Both his parents had died by the time he went to university.
Once he finished university, he was to move back to the family estate and marry his fiancee, Hannah Henderson. They would have had babies and carried on the Hunt family responsibilities.
Instead, he perished in that fire.
His Uncle Quinten had to step in to oversee the responsibilities of the family as a sort of Regent. He and his sons had all sworn oaths to Andrew not try to become the heir, which left the position vacant.
Ryan, the elder son, refused to assist. He never wanted family responsibilities, instead becoming a rockstar.
So Cole, suffering from the loss of his best friend Andrew and still devastated after his wife, Aaricia, drowned while pregnant, knew he had to father the next heir. It didn't help when he was abducted by aliens, and gave birth to a green-skinned, black-eyed daughter, whom he named Aaricia to honour his late wife.
Cole and Hannah Henderson bonded over their mutual grief and ended up marrying and having 6 children, Matthew, Archer and Margery, and Edward, Olivia and William. Matthew was to be the heir when he came of age.
Then Ryan unexpectedly decided to marry. Charlotte Miller wooed him from his philandering ways and was much younger. While he swore not to have children, accidents are always possible.
The legacy remained uncertain until Ryan died, still biologically childless (he and Charlotte had adopted a daughter, Karla) and Matthew came of age as Heir.
Ooof. I am still not over Andrew's unexpected death.
📩 Simblr question of the day: What is the most dramatic storyline you've ever had in your game? This can be something you did on purpose or that randomly happened.

🐾🐾 Boop! Boop! 🐾🐾
I'd love to know what simmer has got you hooked right now! Please share what you're binge-reading on Simblr!
Share this with other simmers to get some recommendations on who to follow! Let's keep spreading some love! 💚
Actually, the first simblrs that come to mind are yours haha But to have it organized:
@melsie-sims -> TS4 Disney BaCC - one of the very few TS4 gameplays that I keep up with! I rarely follow TS4 simblrs, but yours got me hooked 🩷
@melsie-sims2 -> All your sims 2 hoods just grab all my attention. At one point I was trying to find a gameplay that had inspired me to create a hood that I used to play a while ago and when I found it I was like "of course it is Melsie's" haha (btw it was Cowplant Island)
@tainoodles -> Mystic Springs - I binge read all of it in like two nights, it's just awesome
@katatty -> Hollyhead - I'm still to finish reading, but I'm several pages deep and it's so fun 🥰
@beikonsims -> Uberhood 2.0 - I love how fleshed out they play the premades, and I am envious (in a good way) of how cute their game looks <3
@grilledcheese-aspiration -> Waverly Chronicles - I love Waverly, it's so cute-creepy and I wish I had the skills to build a whole town like that
@coriel-muroz -> Huntsville Revived - I wish I was as creative with storylines as Coriel! Each post gets me wanting to know what is going to happen next 🩷
These are just a few of the ones I love 🩷🥰

“Still Playin’ Possum” – A Star-Studded Tribute To The Music Of George Jones hits Theaters Nationwide
Feeling a little bit country, No Show Productions announces the “Still Playin’ Possum: Music & Memories of George Jones” tribute concert event will premiere in a one-day-only theater presentation in association with Fathom Events. With performances filmed on April 25, 2023, in Huntsville, Alabama, to a sold-out show at the Von Braun Center, some of country music’s biggest stars pay homage to the man known ‘as the greatest country singer of all time’ – George Jones! Tickets are on sale through the Fathom Events website and participating theater box offices. For a complete list of theater locations, visit fathomevents.com (participating theaters are subject to change). Now, 10 years after his passing in 2013, music lovers can witness the power of song as artists ranging from Jelly Roll (“Bartender’s Blues”), Brad Paisley (“He Stopped Loving Her Today”), Tanya Tucker (The Grand Tour), Dierks Bentley (Why Baby Why), Sam Moore (Blues Man), Travis Tritt (“The Race Is On”), Jamey Johnson (“Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes”), and so many more bring their interpretation of Jones’ hits to life on the big screen. George Jones also referred to by many as “The Possum” sold over 20 million albums, was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, a member of the Grand Ole Opry, was a Kennedy Center Honoree, National Medal of the Arts recipient, Grammy Lifetime Achievement award recipient, topped the Billboard singles chart 14 times and achieved 143 Top 40 hits during his illustrious career. “It is still hard to believe that George is gone. He was loved by so many artists and fans. We may not have him here in person, but we have his music to keep his memory alive,” says Nancy Jones. “Filming this night was something special. The love for George was overwhelming!” About George Jones: George Jones is regarded among the most important and influential singers in American popular music history. He was the singer of enduring country music hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Grand Tour,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Tender Years” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the latter of which is often at the top of industry lists of the greatest country music singles of all time. Born in Saratoga, Texas, Jones played on the streets of Beaumont for tips as a teenager. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps before returning to Texas and recording for the Starday label in Houston, Texas. In 1955, his “Why Baby Why” became his first Top 10 country single, peaking at number four and beginning a remarkable commercial string: Jones would ultimately record more than 160 charting singles, more than any other artist in any format in the history of popular music. His first number-one hit came in 1959 with “White Lightning,” a Mercury Records single that topped the Billboard country charts for five weeks. He moved on to United Artists and then to Musicor, notching hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Race Is On,” “A Good Year for the Roses” and “Walk Through This World With Me.” Jones signed with Epic Records in 1971 and worked with producer Billy Sherrill to craft a sound at once elegant and rooted, scoring with “The Grand Tour,” “Bartenders Blues” and many more. Sherrill also produced duets between Jones and his then-wife Tammy Wynette, and in the 1970s they scored top-charting hits including “We’re Gonna Hold On,” “Golden Ring” and “Near You.” By the time “Golden Ring” and “Near You” hit in 1976, Jones and Wynette were divorced, and Jones was battling personal demons. His solo career cooled until 1980 when he recorded “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” a ballad penned by Curly Putman and Bobby Braddock that helped Jones win Country Music Association prizes for best male vocal and top single. “He Stopped Loving Her Today” revived a flagging career, and Jones won the CMA’s Top Male Vocalist award in 1980 and 1981. He also earned a Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance. He signed with MCA Records in 1990 and began a successful run, and he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1992. His guest vocal on Patty Loveless’ “You Don’t Seem To Miss Me” won a CMA award for top vocal event in 1998, and it became his final Top 20 country hit. About Fathom Events: Fathom is a recognized leader in the entertainment industry as one of the top distributors of content to movie theaters in North America. Owned by AMC Entertainment Inc. Dahlia smiled and had a sip of her tea as well. "Well, coincidentally, one of my adopted children is getting married in the fall," she replied, practically beaming as she said it. She tried not to advertise Bella's business to everyone but this felt relatively contained. "So that's been taking up most of my free time lately. She asked me to help them plan it, which of course, I am both honoured and excited to do." She smiled. "And what about you? Other than being busy single-handedly reviving the arts in Huntsville?"
Something personal, something 'them.' It made sense, but also left Edgar feeling at a loss for what to do. They didn't have a secondary school sweetheart spot. Hell, they met at the bar. "Guess I have some mulling over to do," he grumbled.
Finally sitting up again, he took a sip of his tea and smiled at Dahlia. "Still though, I appreciate the insight. And how've you been? Hopefully not too busy."

This is amazing. It’s a new house built with Gothic Revival style in Huntsville, Utah. The exterior looks modern and plain in comparison to the fancy old Victorian facades.
Inside, however, it has tricked people into thinking it’s an old house.
In fact, a member of the local historical society thought it was a restoration project and the house was really built in 1860.
The house has vintage light fixtures, stained-glass transom windows, and gorgeous stained woodwork to achieve the effect of an older home.
This pretty blue sitting room like the “morning room.”
The bedroom has vaulted and beamed ceilings. They were inspired by the home in the movie “Practical Magic.’
Beautiful interior shutters.
I love that that they made the kitchen cabinets look like separate pieces of furniture.
The Aga stove is the focal point in a beige tile nook.
What a lovely dining room.
Back stairway simulates servant stairs off the kitchen.
Gothic Revival was an architectural movement popular from the late 1740s through the 1870s. It’s sometimes called Victorian Gothic and was a contrast to the neoclassical styles that were prevalent during that time.

Household 29 - Father Joshua gets bad news
Priscilla had left for Three Lakes to break up with her fiancee, Zoey.
Father Joshua was still mourning the loss of his doggie, Landen. He had got him a long time ago, part of the same litter as his best friend Priscilla's dog Penny.
When he heard the phone ring, he expected that it would be a parishioner, not the Three Lakes Police department.
"Dead?!? What do you mean Priscilla is dead!?!" Father Joshua couldn't believe what he was hearing.
The police were investigating, her death had been ruled suspicious, but no one quite knew what had happened.
Father Joshua wasn't sure when the phone call ended or how long he had been sitting on the floor, staring pointlessly.
He kept running over the details in his mind. Priscilla was dead. Her fiancee, Zoey, hadn't seen her and no one knew what happened after she got on the plane. He was her emergency contact, and the executor of her will.
It was all too much.

Javier Peña Timeline In Real Life
So many people have written fiction for Javier Peña that I thought this might be useful. Wikipedia has incorrect information as does the Narcos Wiki. That isn't said as arrogance, I just believe that Peña is a better authority on where he was born, raised and went to school.
-----------------------------------------
ca. 1951 Marriage of Jésus Francisco Peña (Chucho) and Alicia Campos
2 Oct 1952 Jorge Alonso Peña, older brother of Javi, born[1] Laredo, TX
11 Dec 1954 Xavier Severo Peña, born; premature [2] Laredo,TX. Died two days later.
17 Feb 1958 Javier Francisco Peña born [3] Laredo, TX youngest son of Chucho & Alicia
1958-1974 Hebbronville, TX[4] Attended Hebbronville Elementary and Hebbronville High School
1974 Graduated Hebbronville High School
1974?-79? Texas A&I now A&M University, Kingsville, TX. Worked summers at local farms
1975? Internship, Huntsville, TX. 3 months as a student in an area prison.
1979 Graduated Cum laude. BA in Sociology[5]
1979-1984 Worked as Deputy Sheriff of Webb County, based in Laredo (living with his maternal grandparents). Also teaching criminal justice at Laredo Junior College
17 Dec 1979 Death of mother Alicia (breast cancer) Laredo; buried Hebbronville
1982 Left fiancée the day of the planned wedding after she admitted she’s not pregnant. Unnamed. Advised to leave town.
1982/3? Applied to DEA Several months after above. The application would be to the Houston Office. The review takes a full year or more

Mar 1988 Sent by DEA to Bogota, Colombia to work on Escobar case.
Aug 1989 Escobar Search Bloc, headed by Col Hugo Martinez and headquartered at the Carl Holguin Police Academy, Medellin.
June 1991 Bogota, Colombia, Steve Murphy arrives (with Connie and her cat, Puff). He is assigned to the Escobar case
19 Jun 1991 Pablo Escobar surrenders to be imprisoned in his custom “prison” La Catedral (aka luxury resort), in Medellin; the drug trade continued.
Jun 1992 Escobar “escapes” from his prison, Medellin, Columbia
July 1992 Revival of Search Block led by Columbian Nation Police, including multiple intelligence agencies, DEA agents, Delta Forces and Seals. ~ 600 in total
1 Dec 1993 Bogota, Columbia Peña sent to the US to verify intelligence from a source.
2 Dec 1993 Medellin, Columbia CNP find and kill Escobar and sole body guard, Limon
1994 Both Peña and Murphy return to US
1994-? Puerto Rico DEA agent
Not specified San Francisco, Caribbean, Colombia (specifically for Cali Cartel), Texas; with increasing responsibility. Ended as SAC (special agent in charge)
2014 Retired. Lives in San Antonio, TX
Loved the ladies but never married.
Location information (from Google Maps & Wikipedia):
Hebbronville is a small town of about 4,300 (now) and county seat in Jim Hogg County, TX
Laredo is a city of about 250,000 (now) about an hour (56 mi) west and slightly north of Hebbronville
Huntsville is north of Houston, about 350 mi from Hebbronville
Kingsville is a similar distance east and slightly north of Hebbronville
Bogotá, Colombia’s capital, is in a large valley in the mountains. Medellin is about 250 miles (415 km) northwest of it. Manhunters says it’s a one-hour flight. Google Maps says about 9 hours by car.
1 "Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997," database and mages, Ancestry (http://www.ancestry.com : 2005); Texas Department of State Health Services. Note that Hebbronville did not (and does not) have a hospital; hospital births were the norm in the fifties. Laredo has both a hospital and Alicia’s parents.
2. “Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997," database and mages, Ancestry (http://www.ancestry.com : 2005); Texas Department of State Health Services
3. "Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997," database and mages, Ancestry (http://www.ancestry.com : 2005); Texas Department of State Health Services
4. Repeated references by Peña in Manhunters.
5. Peña wasn’t clear about his university days, so it's uncertain why he took graduated five years instead of four following high school complete his BA. Given his mom’s illness, he may have taken the time to be with her. Or he may have taken a gap year to work. He may also have transferred from Texas A&M Kingsville to the affiliated campus in Laredo. Graduating cum laude argues against a failed year.

〔 Sonoya Mizuno, 35, cis woman, she/her ) Reina Tsukamoto was seen listening to bad moon rising by creedance clearwater revival on their way to gossip columnist/aspiring true crime writer. Ren is known to be dedicated & opportunistic.
general ;;
full name; reina tsukamoto
nicknames; ren,
age; 35
birthday; july 2nd
zodiac; cancer
gender/pronouns; cis woman, she/her
sexual/romantic preferences; bisexual, biromantic
personality traits; dedicated, opportunistic,
biography ;;
Reina Tsukamoto was born to the well established private investigator and a well known prosecutor in San Diego, California. She was their only child and many thought that both parents would step back from their jobs at the birth of their child, though instead, Reina was usually simply brought to their jobs with them. They were just as dedicated to their jobs as they were their daughter. So, Reina grew up alongside crime cases and classified documents, things that would make most other children (and some adults) either horrified or bored. To Reina, it was simply her life.
When she started school, Reina decided quickly that she wasn’t Reina, she was Ren. Just Ren. Any time that a teacher or a classmate called her Reina, they were met with a firm “that’s not me”. She was a child that quickly formed her own identity and at times, that made it difficult for her to make friends. Other kids weren’t exactly sure what to make of Ren. She was simultaneously outspoken and loud, as well as shy, and could never compromise with the games they played. But she found her own eventually.
Ren went to university in Boston for journalism and writing, something neither of her parents could really understand. They had always assumed that their daughter would follow in one of their footsteps. And she did want to, though Ren wanted to write the stories that her parents lived through and saw everyday. She dreamed of becoming the next Capote.
She quickly realized that her dream was going to be a lot harder than she thought to achieve. She had the skill, no one could disagree with that. She was a diligent researcher and had a way with others, but she was slow. While her classmates could churn out work several times over, Ren agonized over every single little word. Yet she didn’t want to give up on this dream.
Ren moved to Huntsville, thinking that she could hole up for several months and finish her work quietly. However, months and then years went by and she needed something else to sustain her. So, Ren started writing with the local gossip column. Here was something that she could churn out quickly (as long as she didn’t think too much about the people she wrote about being actual people) and make money while she did so.
headcanons ;;
Ren writes her gossip column under the name “Minerva” as she doesn’t want her own name to be associated with what she writes.
She is very private with her work as a gossip columnist and isn’t willing to share with this information with anyone but those she works with, though she’s overjoyed to show her true crime work with anyone.
Documentary aficionado! Horror movie marathoner! True crime novel devourer!
wanted connections ;;
Friends - Ren moved to Huntsville about 7 years ago to begin her research and writing and tried to stay relatively private for a long while. It was only about 2 years prior that she started to actually socialize and she still struggles with really opening up as she’s afraid that her friends will hate her if they find out she’s “Minerva”.
Discoverer - Someone finds out what Ren is writing and this could either be a blackmail type situation or just something that Ren stresses over for a long time.
