Yes, you can use my photos for reference with credit. When I was a kid I learned to paint from making collages out of National Geographic magazine clippings. I eventually started taking my own reference photos and developed some techniques to turn the photos into a hybrid. Nowadays I usually only paint abstractly, there’s something really exciting about having no idea what I will paint when I start and let experimentation and accidents rule.

21.11.2022 // had these babies for almost a week now and i'm kind of obsessed, so here's my honest review. they're really nice in terms of appearance and comfort. in terms of functionality, it seems they can only connect to one bt device at a time which is a shame. sound-wise they are so good for listening to music, the sound is always full and immersive! i heard the personalised sfxi app enhances musicquality even more but it can only be used for local mp3 files so i have yet to investigate that myself. for videos and movie watching sound quality is not bad either. there does seem to be a little bit of sound leakage but it only becomes a real problem if your media is playing through the headphones while you are not wearing them properly. for their price ($95.95 AUD), i definitely got my money's worth

hello! i saw in your recent post that you have the Creative Zen Hybrid headphones (correct me if i’m wrong). I’ve been looking into getting a headset and was wondering what you think of them?

Hey, you're right! I recently bought the Creative Zen Hybrid headphones because I wanted to try some budget over-ear headphones that had active noise cancelling and could also let sounds in!

So far I'm honestly really enjoying them. Compared to the other options, they were so cheap and the sound is absolutely fine for me (though I'm no audiophile). The controls on the headphones are easy to use for skipping songs or pausing etc. You can even bring up siri or google assistant by pressing a button, if you use them.

I don't have a huge amount to compare to, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I've only really used the airpods pro for noise cancelling before these and I switch between them depending on what I use them for.

I guess my main gripe is that they only come with a flimsy fabric pouch, so my next mission will be to find a cost-effective hard case to protect them better! I also haven’t had them for ages, so I’m hoping they last the rest of time if properly looked after. Time will tell! I hope that helps, friend.

in all honesty, it's been a pretty shit year. march 'til now has felt like the same month on repeat with tiny tweaks to make it all so much worse. but i'm not here to complain about the worst parts of this year, i'm here to celebrate the best ones.

this was the year that i finally started writing, that i was finally spurred to open a google doc and just type away until a tiny work of fiction stared back at me. my first one was 1k words, a rant to get all of my emotions off of my chest with an idol as my muse. it felt...great, though it also felt a bit odd writing after being an avid reader for years. i always did prefer essays to creative writing, but this year definitely changed that perspective.

i wrote that first blurb along with another fic in late july, and in early august, i asked my friends if i should post them. om august 3rd, i changed this blog from a fic rec to a fic writing blog just like that. i regret none of it.

it's been nearly five months since i revamped this blog and i couldn't be more grateful for the support i have gotten from all of you, whether it be a kind comment, a like, a reblog, all of it. i never thought anyone would like my content, but i've been proven severely wrong by this community. from my irls that are on here, to my lovely mutuals and followers, to those i've talked to a lil bit on this hellsite, to the writers whose fics i absolutely adore, to those who have left a like or a comment on one of my fics, i want to say thank you from the very bottom of my heart ♡
