It is so unbelievably frustrating how the algorithm timeline keeps defaulting in a place that has been free of algo bullshit for so long. I cannot tell if it’s a glitch or if they’re just pushing it intentionally. It’s at least easy to go back to the following feed, but with bluesky users more and more depending on the discover feed and tumblr defaulting to the algorithm timeline it just feels like ‘be twitter’ is the shitty destiny being pushed everywhere.

The thing that gets me about history and humanity is that you never know what is immortalized, and the things that will be immortalized are things you would never think.

I saw a person sharing a new tattoo, and it was one of Onfim's drawings. A boy who lived so long ago he is barely a blip now, but his drawings meant so much to people that somebody is now permanently marked in their skin with one of those drawings. Do you ever look at the things you make and just sit there and wonder if this is the thing that future people look at? Do you ever look at your art, your writing, your schoolwork, or anything that is yours and just wonder who will find it, who will fall in love with a piece of your humanity and become overwhelmed with emotion over? It's not unlikely. It's not totally unlikely that somebody will find a piece of you in the distant future and devoid of any other context of who you were will still love you because you were here. You were here, and you are still here, even hundreds or thousands of years later. Treat yourself with the same love that so many have for dear Onfim.

Still on thoughts of making Dream Team out of random objects and items, like Fairly Oddparents disguises, It Takes Two type beings, or Toy Story. Not to add au on top of all my other aus that need more work/art, but I just need to draw them more silly. So here are my most recent thoughts:

Little clay statue Dream that was made originally to make a mold for bronze casting. He was never fired in a kiln, and so he keeps a little plasticity, more so when wet/misted. The statue eventually gets abandoned and set on the shelf in the art studio, present but forgotten as a project. The artist in the studio sometimes revisits him, but more for the sake of still life sketches and observations. His face gets drawn a lot. His shelf is high up and he watches over the whole studio.

George is made of Play-Doh and he serves as more of a playful fidget for creation and inspiration rather than a piece. He gets played with and remolded a lot. He's a mix of bright colors and sometimes the colors of his features may change. He lives on the desk in little Play-Doh tubs, which sometimes might be stacked together, and other times are spread around or put in drawers, so putting himself back together can be a challenge. He's had a few bits dry out in the past, but it's nothing a little more doh can't fix!

Sapnap is a little doll made of recycled socks and other fabrics. He's a bit sock monkey-esque, but still human shaped. His face is crudely drawn on with markers and some of his parts are a bit overstuffed. His head and torso are stuff with polyfil and his arms and legs are stuff with rice. His yarn hair is a disaster and gets messed up any time a human decides to play with him. He was a gift from another artist and is usually found sitting on the little loveseat in the studio, away from most of the mess and work. Because of this, he can be a bit spoiled being so clean and soft.
