Parenting 101 by Vanshound - A Review

Parenting 101 is easily the best comic I have picked up in a very long time. It's in the small details but the artwork and general flow sucked me in right away. The composition of frames and the overlying story work in perfect harmony and if someone asked me to pick a favorite moment I would probably melt into a little pile, unable to do so. I was gifted (by Irish ofc) Parenting 101, Scorched Earth and the Butchlander bookmark from Vanshound's collection. Vans has posted about their architecture work and it's very visible in this book, especially in regards to cleanliness and stunning backgrounds. The way pages shift from dark to light also aids the general quality but- I would be lying if I tried calling this book anything but perfect. Admittedly as a supe!Butcher fan, I loved this timeline. Picking up from the end of season 3 we get to see our two favorite co-parents somehow stumble upon their truce thanks to Ryan. The conflict was kept in line with the show and left me wondering at times if I was confusing 'Parenting 101' with the canon show. TL;DR: If you are a butchlander fan, Homelander fan, Billy Butcher fan or a general enjoyer of art that is so perfect you'll want to stare at it for hours on end, please consider supporting this absolute masterpiece. BUY IT HERE

I have crossed oceans of high-frucose corn syrup to find out what Peter Lorre tastes like.

And the answer is....like lighter, foamier Lucky Charms drenched in sugar, with a feint hint of artificial blueberry flavor.

I'd have bought a smaller box to try it, but it only comes in one size.

Funny enough, I just happened to have a ghostly blue bowl right on hand! But be aware that this picture is misleading; the marshmallows are few and far between. I had to pick some more out of the box and add them to the bowl.

Crunched up, the cereal makes a passable topping for ice cream. But still a bit too foamy and sugary for me. And yes, that's Blue Moon ice cream under those Boo-Berry crumbs.

Long story short, I'm starting to understand why the other monsters react so negatively to Boo peddling this crap to them. Although I doubt their cereal is any better.

I will definitely save that box though. I'm working on a YouTube series where I'll be reviewing noir movies, and this box will make a great background piece for the Peter Lorre movie reviews! (Except "M.")

SO ANYWAY I FINALLY WATCHED DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE AND BOY HOWDY AM I FEELING EMOTIONS!!!!

I'M NOT EVEN GONNA TALK ABOUT THE MOVIE IT WAS GREAT I ALREADY RANTED IN REAL LIFE (GOOD AND BAD BUT THE MOVIE WAS GREAT DON'T GET ME WRONG) I'M TALKIN' ABOUT THE FREAKING M U S I C V I D E O THEY PUT IN DESIGNED TO MAKE ME SPECIFICALLY CRY DURING THE END CREDITS!!!!

LIKE. FUCK. TALK ABOUT AN END OF AN ERA. ALL THOSE LITTLE ONE-OFF, TWO-OFF MOVIES, ALL THE TECHNICALLY-MARVEL-BUT-THEY'RE-NOT-IN-THE-SAME-UNIVERSE-BECAUSE-OF-RIGHTS-ISSUES MOVIES OF THE 80S AND THE 90S AND THE EARLY 2000S???? AND DAMN IT WOULDN'T YA KNOW THIS WAS THE SONG I SANG AT MY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION SO THIS IS ALREADY ASSOCIATED WITH THE END OF AN ERA BUT TO BE THROAT PUNCHED LIKE THAT!!?!? AT THE END OF T H I S MOVIE OF ALL PLACES???? WITH THE CALLBACKS AND THE BTS FOR ALL THE X-MEN MOVIES AND THE OG DAREDEVIL MOVIE AND ALL THEM AND FAAAACK THEY REALLY DID THAT. Hello! Finally i managed to try enough Clown Icecream to make a review out of all the products I've tried! Clown icecreams are made of at least 56% clown derived milk, any less and it's considered Clown Dessert. I will cover clown desserts later on.

I found that much like Japanese juices, only Clown Icecreams with a distinct clown face on the package/icecream itself are the ones with more milk content. (for example, if a icecream has a realistic clown face it has to be made from at least 89% clown milk)

Let's start off strong with boxed Clown Ice cream from Scoopy's®. The readily available, widely distributed, ice cream cones. Even if the cones themselves have not a speck of clown resemblance, the clown on the package reassures us that these cones are 89% clown milk, then cocoa, then the cone itself. It may be costly, but it's such a large sized box (24 cones!!!) so you're getting your money worth with this one. It really is a fun time treat and i strongly recommend it. 9/10

Now onto Clown Pushapops Icecreams. The cartoonish clown depiction tells us that this product is on the 56-89% range, but i say it's on the lower end of the spectrum. It's really cheap and usually sold singularly (mostly because eating more than two of them gives you awful sploinky symptoms) but honestly? Again, you get what you pay for, which is not much. 6/10

This is what your local ice cream shop is allowed to serve at your table, if you so choose to order it. You might find it called "Clown Soft Serve" or "Clown IcePlate" or any variation of that. The base is of strictly 75% clown milk icecream, the decorations may vary depending on the shop. It costs around 6$ and to be honest? You can get better for the same money, but you're also paying for the plate, i guess. 7.5/10

This is a bizarre product. I found it sold ONLY at bodega's for the low low price of 1.50$ and... it's actually... amazing. It surprised me. I would much rather walk 3 miles to get this Fortunello® (which the employee told me means "lucky") than just buy any Clowm Pushapop at the local market. And man, was i lucky. It's an hidden gem in the Clown Ice Cream world. 9/10
