HEAR ME OUT!! Lars with a reader, who was a ghost but somehow got their life back. Because of that, reader is pretty much forced to be in the lab 24/7 (much to their disdain) with Lars running tests on them. Enemies to lovers 🫶
(Also, you're like the best author ever on here.)
Clearly I really liked this prompt because I wrote a lot for it. Like, seriously, this is so long. I hope you like it as much as I do.
“You’re doing it wrong.”
Lars growled under his breath, pushing his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose. Sitting on the able, feet kicking backwards and forwards, you were grinning at him with such smugness it made his blood boil. He knew how to do his job without the input of a woman who knew nothing about parapsychology. You weren’t a scientist. You were just some girl who happened to come back to life. Nothing special.
“Still wrong,” you sung.
His fingers tightened around your arm, holding you still. He tightened the band around your bicep, pressing the electrodes against your chest with more force than was necessary. You muttered something just outside of his hearing, most likely a curse word. Your swearing was not something he was unfamiliar with. It had been resounding through the lab for weeks now.
“Just sit still,” he ordered, returning to his equipment.
You wiggled right up until the point he turned the machine on, probably trying to make a point. If you were, he missed it through disinterest. He watched the output on the machine, your heartbeat strong and steady. No blips, nothing to suggest you’d once been a ghost.
“Anything?” you asked.
He pressed his lips together. You could never just sit in silence, continually talking in his ear, playing with his stuff. Your presence was was unending. You had been made to live in the lab while they worked out how you’d come back, and as someone who basically lived in the lab himself, you had seemed to designate him as your favourite form of entertainment. You needled him. He knew it. And yet he kept letting you get under his skin.
“Not if you keep talking,” he said.
He got up, moving closer to readjust a few of the monitors. Returning back to the readout, there was a spike in your heart rate before it calmed down again. Interesting. Glancing up, you were glaring at him, seemingly not feeling the exertion you were showing.
“Feeling alright?” he asked.
“Aw, you do care,” you said, sarcasm dripping from every word.
“Just answer the question,” he said.
“I feel fine,” you replied.
He watched you for another moment. Your head tipped up, looking to the ceiling as your feet continued to kick. You did seem fine. He had to trust you on that.
He hated not having answers.
You floated away on soft footsteps when he released you from his tests. You didn’t even bother saying goodbye and he knew it’s because he’d be seeing you later. You never seemed able to stop yourself from interrupting his day.
Looking back over the readouts the only thing that jumped out at him was the elevation in heart rate for a few minutes. Nothing else suggested anything had happened. He stared at it, trying to piece together what was going on. And yet it still wasn’t outside the bounds of normal mortal hearts.
Nothing indicated how you’d come back from being a ghost. Every test bringing up nothing. If he was a religious man, he would have said it was God playing a cosmic practical joke on him, sending him the one person who drove him crazy.
“If you never find anything am I forced to stay here until I become a ghost again?” you asked, appearing out of nowhere, whispering in his ear.
Perhaps you’d brought some things back with you when you’d become corporeal again. Silent as the wind, able to sneak up on him, your laughter echoing long after you were gone. It was eery and yet nothing indicated you were anything but a healthy human.
“You’ll stay here as long as necessary,” he replied, refusing to give you more.
“At what point does this become kidnapping?” you mused, hauling yourself up onto the bench in front of him.
Your feet kicked again, your toes brushing against his thigh. He froze, the feeling lingering before you did it again. He caught you, fingers circling your ankle. Your eyes found his, lips curling up into a slight smile. He stared back, caught in a bubble of time where everything stopped. Breath held and body frozen, the warmth of your soft skin against his making his head spin.
“Don’t tempt me to tie you up,” he murmured.
“Pretty kinky, Pinfield,” you said, voice soft and if he didn’t know any better, he’d think you were sharing a joke with him, “who knew you had it in you.”
“I’m full of surprises.”
Your eyes lit up and he had to fight against the impulse to find out every single way he could make it happen again. There was something about it, the way it felt like a constant battle of wits with you. It was intoxicating.
He shoved your foot away, coming back to himself. You drew back from where you’d been leaning closer to him and he turned away, ignoring you as he tried to get on with work. From his peripheral vision he saw you slide back to the ground, a huffed laugh coming from you as you slipped away.
He lost track of you again, hours going by until the sun had gone down. A bed had been set up in what had once been a junk room for you to sleep in, the veneer of privacy all the lab could offer you. For months you’d been living there, under observation, in case something changed. There was no explanation for how you’d come back from your stint as a ghost. Nothing paranormal going on anymore.
You were a mystery he was determined to solve.
A bowl of noodles was slid in front of him. Looking up, he found you taking a seat across from him, your own bowl steaming in front of you. He looked down into it, his glasses steaming up with the condensation. He huffed, taking them off to wipe them clean. The expression on your face when he put them on again wasn’t one he’d seen before.
“What’s this?” he asked, nudging the bowl you’d placed in front of him.
“Ramen,” you replied, “only the instant stuff from the kitchen but it’s better than nothing.”
He sniffed, pursing his lips at you.
“It’s not poisoned,” you said.
Your chopsticks dipped into your own bowl, pulling noodles into your mouth. He watched you for a moment, before sighing, the rumble of his stomach enough to urge him on. If it was poisoned they’d find his body in the morning and be hunting you down.
“Is there a reason you stay so late every night?” you asked, “I know you’re not doing it to keep me company.”
“I have a lot of work to do,” he replied, surprised you’d asked.
“You sleep here sometimes,” you said, an offhand observation as you shovelled more noodles in your mouth.
“You always sleep here,” he replied.
“Not by choice,” you muttered, chopsticks stabbing down.
“Do you really hate it here so much?” he asked.
“Pinfield, you’ve made me a prisoner. I can’t leave without supervision. I can’t go home. You haven’t even let me contact my friends and family. You try being happy under those circumstances,” you said, levelling a glare at him.
“But you got a second chance,” he said, not hiding his frustration, “you came back. No one else has ever gotten that.”
“That you know of,” you said, almost in a sing song voice.
He paused for a moment. It’s true, someone else could have returned from ghosthood without being documented. It took long enough for people to even accept the existence of the paranormal. Documented cases were a mixed bag of those with scientific merit and those without.
“Can I expect to see you at breakfast?” you asked, “I have strawberry poptarts.”
“You’re mad if you think those are better than the brown sugar cinnamon ones,” he said.
“I have to assume this wrong opinion is because you’re not from here,” you said, sounding deadly serious.
“I’ve done the research. I have the data. I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable but the science speaks for itself,” he said, adjusting his glasses.
“Well, you can keep your pseudoscience and your bad taste to yourself. You’re not invited to breakfast anymore,” you said, sniffing.
The spike of irritation cut through the playful atmosphere. That word, pseudoscience, it was the exact thing to raise his hackles. He would never engage in such stupidity. To be reduced to such a word had his blood boiling.
But then he looked up and saw the way you were smiling into your ramen, eyes darting up to him, the twinkle obvious. The irritation melted away upon the realisation that you were poking fun at him. That you were joking. That you were purposefully trying to get under his skin. And you knew him well enough to do it with ease. He’d fallen right into your trap.
A spark of electricity ran through his veins at the realisation.
“Don’t work too hard, nerd,” you said, hopping off your stool, taking the empty bowl away from in front of him.
He watched you walk away, many things going on in his head. Mostly, surprise that it had been pleasant having dinner with you. That spark of playfulness made him want to follow you and that didn’t sit right with him.
Accepting that, he decided to head home, the night over for him. There was no chance he was going to be able to finish his work. Not when he knew you could be lurking in the shadows around him.
The next morning he found you sitting in front of the possessor’s enclosure, seeming to play with it from behind the plexiglass. One of those cursed poptarts was dangling from one hand, half eaten as your focus was completely on the ghost in front of you. He let himself watch you, knowing he wasn’t being watched in return. Your smile was bright, your laugh genuine, eyes sparkling as you played. It struck him that you’d never looked at him that way.
“Please tell me you’re not trying to convert the possessor to your inferior flavour of poptarts,” he said.
You looked up, the smile slipping from your face. With a grace he knew he would never had, you rose from your crossed legged position, looking at him with a scowl. Approaching, he found his eyes resting on the bit of icing clinging to the corner of your lips. Without much thought, he reached up, thumb brushing it free. You blinked, mouth falling open. He cursed inwardly, not sure what to make of his own actions.
“More tests today,” he said, hoping to sweep what he’d done under the rug.
“Yay, I cannot wait,” you said, the sarcasm back in your tone.
“Follow me,” he ordered.
You trailed behind him, finishing off your breakfast. He was trying to ignore it, the sound of you, the feeling of your skin burning the pad of his thumb, the unsettled feeling in his stomach. He didn’t even need to ask you as you hopped up onto the gurney that had been set up after one too many accidents in the lab. Having a routine with you felt intimate, like your lives were intwining too much and he wanted to force you out.
“Blood works today,” he said, already reaching for a needle.
“I’m going to be a ghost again from all the blood you take,” you muttered.
When he turned back to you, your hands were crossed over the front of your body, holding the hem of your jumper. It was like watching in slow motion as you lifted it over your head, exposing the tight tank top you had on underneath. His eyes were lingering on your body, longer than he knew was appropriate, and yet not able to stop.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer,” you said, dumping the crumpled up jumper to one side.
He didn’t have an answer. The entire day was not going the way he expected and he felt off kilter, almost dizzy with his own reaction to you. Ignoring it, he stepped up to you, taking one arm. He was close enough to hear your snort, the brush of your breath against his skin sending a shiver down his spine.
With a soft fingertip, he traced over the veins inside your elbow. The breath seemed to stutter in your chest and he looked up at you, from under eyelashes, head still bowed over your arm. Your lips had parted again, something inexplicable on your face. He wanted to dig down into the expression, to take it apart until he understood every part of it. The look in your eyes was making him want to drag you closer.
“Don’t look,” he murmured, plucking the needle up from where it waited.
Your eyes closed, face turning away from him. He let his gaze linger for a moment longer before he got to work. Just another sample to be analysed later. He pushed whatever moment had passed the between of you to the back of his mind, not wanting to think on it.
“All done,” he said, pressing a cotton bud to the point of extraction.
Your finger brushed his as you took over applying pressure to the inside of your elbow. He took a moment before he stepped away, checking your colour. You looked up, catching him in the act, lips quirking up in a questioning smile.
“Go eat something,” he said, “not one of those awful poptarts.”
“Make me,” you said.
The impulse to carry you away and force you to eat something good was intense. He could picture it, the way he would sling you over his shoulder and march away with you. It was very caveman, so different from how he usually was. It broke the moment, leaving him unsure of what to say as he stepped back. Something flashed over your face, too quick for him to understand as you slithered to the floor.
“Enjoy staring at my blood you psycho,” you said as a parting shot.
“I’m not-“ he called after you before giving up. It wasn’t worth it.
He took some time to go analyse the new blood sample, searching for any paranormal signifiers. It seemed normal, like anyone else’s blood would. Dead end after dead end was making him want to bash his head against the wall. He wanted answers and he wanted them now.
He kept telling himself it was to get you out of his lab. Even if that little voice in the back of his head was saying something else.
The next time he saw you, you were curled up in one of the old armchairs that Lucky had dragged in one day in order to make the place more comfortable. You had a book open in your lap, hair falling forward. He paused, watching when your finger reached up, tucking some of the hair behind your ear. He could imagine it, the path his finger would take as he did the same thing, your soft skin against his fingertip.
“You’re actually quite smart,” you said and he realised his presence hadn’t gone as unnoticed as he thought.
“I know I am,” he replied.
Stepping closer, he noticed the book in your lap was a collection of essays, one of which he knew was his. Written a few years ago, before he’d had the funding he did now, his research was splayed out in your lap, your gaze tracing over it. The intimate feeling was a shock to him, the way it felt as if you were caressing his brain. You were reading his words. Words written years ago before he knew someone like you could exist. He felt his chest puff when you looked at him.
“Your writing could be clearer. You make it all so complicated,” you said.
He deflated, the pride he’d felt leaking from him. Once again, it left a flickering flame of resentment in its wake, and he wanted to lash out again. His mouth opened but you beat him to the punch.
“But your ideas are sound and you clearly know your stuff. I suppose I’m lucky I have your mind working on whatever mystery is going on with me.”
He sauntered closer, that same pride reigniting. You watched him approach, a half smile on your face as if you knew the exact reaction you were causing in him. He felt smug, knowing he was taking up space in your brain. You’d spent your time reading his research paper. You’d taken time out of your day to let his words seep into your brain.
“Very lucky,” he said, coming to a stop in front of you.
His words might have been flirty if it was anyone but you.
“But then I suppose you’re lucky getting to spend so much time with me,” you said.
Your bare foot reached out, your toes brushing against his shin. He lent forward, hands coming to rest on the back of the chair, right above your head. Towering over you, you looked so small to him, like something he could protect. But he kept you trapped there, looking down into your face.
“Lucky to have such a pain in my arse?” he asked, keeping his tone light.
“Well, you need something to get the stick out of it,” you replied. Only there was no bite to it.
“Been thinking about my arse a lot, have you?” he asked.
“You should be so lucky,” you laughed.
He lent closer, watching the moment you realised how close he was. He found himself feeling out of control around you, like his inhibitions had fled him. He couldn’t help it. Whenever it came to you lately, he lost himself to giving in to all his impulses.
One of which was screaming loudly at him.
The laughter died on your lips and he didn’t miss it when your eyes dipped down to his. He was close enough to feel your warmth, towering over you, leaning into your space. Your fingers clenched around the book in your lap, foot brushing his leg again. Just that touch, small as it was, sent electricity rocketing through his body. He wanted more of it. He wanted more of you.
Oh.
Oh no.
He wanted you.
He had never denied you were beautiful, that you were bright, that you were charismatic. But he had denied ever liking you. Only now, so close to you, watching the way you reacted to him, it became blindly obvious to him that he’d been lying to himself.
“Can I help you with something, Pinfield?” you asked, voice soft, barely above a murmur.
He thought that if he kissed you now you would kiss him back. Almost certain of it. Pretty sure you would. But that small amount of doubt niggled at him. You could be so prickly with him and you’d told him you hated being there. He was part of the lab. What if you actually didn’t like him?
“Cat got your tongue?” Your half smile had softened, just enough to make him question it all again, “I don’t think you’ve ever been so silent with me.”
He lent back, straightening up, leaving you blinking up at him, confusion marring your features. Turning on his heels, he stalked away from you, the confusion and the tangle of confused emotions making him need to retreat as fast as possible. The ache was new, wanting to go back and finish what he’d started. He couldn’t. Not if you were going to laugh in his face and tell him he was deluded. No one like you could ever possibly want him.
So he did the cowardly thing. He avoided you.
Days went by, hiding away in shadowy corners, doing all the work he’d been putting off to study you. The things no one wanted to do. Filing, cleaning, sorting, anything to keep you from finding him. Only he’d misjudged it. He’d forgotten you’d been living there long enough to find every single secret hiding spot.
After a few days, you found him in a secluded corner, far from everyone else working in the lab. He didn’t know how many other people knew about that spot, retreating to it whenever he needed time alone. Sitting on the floor, knees bent towards his chest, head in his hands, fingers clenched in his hair, he didn’t notice your approach. Or rather, the left over ghostly powers you had kept you silent as you came upon him.
“Have you given up on me?” His head jerked up at your voice, “the fire get too hot for you?”
“What?” he asked. You couldn’t know. There was no way you could know.
“Usually you’re poking and prodding me every day trying to figure out why ghosthood has forsaken me. Have you finally accepted there’s nothing to find and I can be released back into the wild?”
You walked towards him, and his mouth went dry with how your hips swayed. You stood over him, hands on your hips, staring down at him with an oddly fierce look on your face.
“I know it’s not because you’re doing anything more important. Clearly. Look at you. You’re sitting here in the dark doing nothing,” he said.
“Maybe that’s more important than studying you,” he replied, leaning his head back against the wall as he gazed up at you.
“Either you’re working on this mystery or you’re not. If you’re done can you let me know so I can clear out of here. I’d like to have a real place to live again,” you said.
“It’ll get done,” he replied.
“Really? Because you’ve been M.I.A. for days now. My entire life is put on paused because you can’t be bothered doing your job,” you continued on, as if you didn’t care about his answer.
“It’ll get done,” he said, firmer, standing as if that would get the point across.
“Sure it will, after you’ve spent the right amount of time hiding from the big scary scientific questions. What’s got you so rattled huh? I didn’t take you for the kind of man who would go running scared the minute things got difficult,” you said.
“Shut up,” he said.
“Or what?” you demanded, “the longer you drag your feet on this the longer I’m forced to live like a fugitive on the run hiding out from the law. Or maybe you hate me enough to want to keep me under lock and key.”
“You don’t know anything,” he ground out from between gritted teeth.
“Clearly because apparently I’m so abhorrent you have to avoid me. I thought we were alright. Fuck me, I guess. I can’t keep up with you. There is something seriously wrong with you, dude,” you said.
“Shut up,” he said again, taking a step forward until he was in your personal space.
He could feel all of the emotions simmering under the surface. You were staring at him, anger flashing in your eyes and you looked fierce. It made his blood sing, going toe to toe with you. He didn’t have the ability to deal with this today, not when he’d been fighting against his need to grab you and kiss you and drag you into the first private place he could find and show you exactly what you did to him.
“Not until you explain why you’re leaving me high and dry,” you said, both hands coming up to shove at his chest.
He caught you around the wrists, holding you like a pair of manacles. His thumb brushed over the bare skin of your inner wrist, over your pulse point. You stared at him, mouth falling open and he couldn’t figure out if it was through confusion or indignation. Tugging you closer, you were so close, your body heat brushing against him and he realised what a mistake that had been. But once again, impulse took over his brain when you were near.
“What are you doing?” you all but whispered.
“Shutting you up.”
He swooped down, kissing you, his fingers tightening around your wrists. He felt you gasp more than he heard it, but it was enough for his tongue to slip into your mouth. You were frozen for just a moment and he was certain you were about to knee him in the gonads. Then, you melted, pressing closer, kissing him back until you took his breath away.
The fire and the passion you’d brought about in him seemed to have found a match. You tugged out of his hold, arms twining around his neck as his hands slid around your body, pressing you into him. The small noise you made only stoked the fire further. His hands cupped your arse and your teeth sunk into his lower lip. He was surprised at the rush that gave him, the spike of pain followed by the soothing of your tongue running over it.
He spun, pushing you against the wall he’d so recently been leaning against. You arched towards him. His hands landed either side of your body, keeping you trapped there, caging you in. You kissed him deeper, longer, and all he could do was groan and sink into it.
You were everywhere, in every single one of his senses, consuming him. All he could do was press closer, groaning when your fingers slid into his hair, tugging on it, playing with it, mussing it. It was so much better than he could have imagined.
“Fuck love,” he mumbled, his lips trailing down your neck, “who knew shutting you up could be so enjoyable in so many ways?”
“You’re such an asshole,” you laughed, breathless as you tilted your head, offering yourself up to him.
“I think that says more about you than it does about me,” he said, teeth sinking in to your skin for just a moment.
“No one said I ever made the sensible decisions,” you said.
He drew back, looking at you. Bright eyes and kiss stung lips, you were a vision he would never grow tired of seeing. He brought a hand up, cupping your cheek, thumb brushing over your bottom lip. You nipped at the pad of his thumb and he chuckled.
“Then I think you should have dinner with me tonight,” he said, “if you’re determined to not make sensible decisions.”
“I’m not allowed out,” you reminded him.
“You are with supervision. Call me your own personal ankle monitor,” he said, “I won’t take my eyes off you.”
“Sounds like you’ll be getting more out of it than I will. Especially if I wear a sexy little number,” you said.
“And why would you do that?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
“Maybe because I’m so desperate to sleep in a proper bed I’m willing to go home with you,” you replied.
“So you’re going to seduce me?”
“I think I already have.”
You looked down, indicating the lack f space between your bodies. The leg he’d inserted between yours. The hand on your hip, keeping you pressed against the wall. His own swollen lips and flushed cheeks. The chuckle that fell from his lips was soft, and yet joyful.
“I suppose you have,” he agreed.
“So, dinner?” you asked.
“Tonight. No need for a sec little number. I’ll be taking you home even if you’re in your pyjamas,” he said and he liked the way that sentiment seemed to melt you.
“I think you might be a closet romantic, Pinfield,” you said, lips curling up into a small smile.
“I suppose you’ll have to stick with me if you want to find out,” he replied.
Impulse drove him to kiss you again, only this time, he was certain you’d kiss him back. You did not disappoint.

Cheeeeeeezzzzeeeeee anon here…. With some unpopular/controversial opinions (do they even count as that? Are they actually very popular opinions?) because idgaf what strangers on the internet think about me 👍
Feel free to give yours too >:D
Yazoo and Loz are better than Kadaj. I just had to get that out there. I’m not sure why, but to me, they always will be.
Angeal is the best SOLDEIR 1st class. I adore Genesis and Seph, but I feel like Angeal upholds what it’s truly like to be a SOLDER while not forgetting his values and beliefs.
It’s better that we saw Babygeal before Young Genesis. Angeal and Sephiroth have such an interesting dynamic both in EC and in CC that I feel like Gen and Seph don’t in a way. Now, I love Gen and Seph’s friendship, but Angeal and Seph’s just feels more…. Natural and meaningful. It’s amazing that Square actually put Angeal there first because Miniroth probably wouldn’t have opened up to someone like Genesis.
Despite what I’ve said, Genesis is the best CC character. He’s the perfect “antagonist” (put in quotation marks because I don’t feel like he’s the actual antagonist, and instead ShinRa is) for that specific game. It would have felt flat if it was someone else, especially if it was Sephiroth or Angeal.
👏Aerith👏is👏not👏a👏flat👏or👏useless👏character👏who👏only👏serves👏as👏a👏plot👏point👏. Does anyone else besides my mother and a few friends of mine hate her? Idk.
Aerith and Zack need to stay dead. As much as I love them, their deaths are major in the story and if they’re alive, it messes up the whole story.
All of the bad things that happened? Hojo and Hollander’s fault. The Neibelheim incident wouldn’t have happened if Hojo hadn’t done what he did. Genesis wouldn’t degrade, which means that he wouldn’t have started to degrade and leave Shinra, taking most of SOLDIER with him, if he didn’t have JENOVA cells. Zack wouldn’t have died, because the Neibelheim incident wouldn’t have occurred. Cloud wouldn’t have messed up memories. Sephiroth would have lived a happy childhood, and so much more, if Hojo and Gast had a bit more common sense, and a lot less ‘crazy scientists’.
No matter what happened, Sephiroth was going to find out about his birth. It’s a major plot point in the story, even if it happened in a different way.
LAZARD👏DESERVES👏BETTER👏AND👏MORE👏RECOGNITION👏
EVERYTHING WAS SET IN MOTION BECAUSE OF GENESIS’S DESERTION, AND HE NEEDS THE RECOGNITION FOR THAT.
Remake is kinda boring. Please don’t yell at me 😭 I think I found it boring because I’m more used to open world games (BOTW/TOTK and HZD/HFW are two prime examples of that) and rouge likes (Hades 1/Hades 2). Rebirth fixed that problem, but it also feels too overwhelming at the same time.
SEPHIROTH IS A CAT-SNAKE HYBRID.
Genesis is the coolest character fr.
Incase you couldn’t tell, I’m just a very strange, Genesis, Seph and Angeal loving crazy person.
I agree with lots of these!!!
Best Bois. Best chars.

Oughhh considering everyone is posting their sonic 3 thoughts
Basically it was better than I expected but not exactly a cinematic replacement for SA2
-I keep seeing people referring to the “Talk about a low budget flight! No food or movies? I’m outta here!” As a snapcube reference like no babes that’s from the original game I-
-upwards akira slide goes crazy
-absolutely adored the visual nods to the Shadow the hedgehog game. Also love how it looks like they tried to get the shadow meteor to look as black-armsy as possible considering Black Doom was absolutely not going to show up here.
-I honestly feel like they executed Maria’s death the best way they could, finding a balance to have it be like…caused by GUN without having a soldier absolutely lock in his shot on a child. Bro said fuck them kids fr 💀
-while #notmygerald the writing for the dude was better than I initially anticipated.
-there are moments where the film just doesn’t feel…confident? Like it cuts to a joke after having a serious moment way too quickly instead of letting the moment sit, and it’ll flashback to a scene that wasn’t too long ago to make sure you remember what they’re talking about. Straight up the moment where Shadow points to his chest telling sonic to finish him off only for Sonic to realize what he’s done would’ve been way more impactful if it wasn’t interrupted by a flashback.
-While I would prefer to have the beast in the flesh, having the biolizard be a goofy b movie kaiju in an old film was kinda cute ngl.
-insert joke about shadows punch not being enough to kill Tom. Like yea I knew they weren’t actually gonna do it but c’mon man don’t play with me like that- (/j/j/j if you like the human characters that’s more power to you)
-as excited as I was to see the GUN Robots in love action, it wasn’t really that good of a replacement for the Final Hazard fight but like! It still did what it needed to do! And honestly I’m a sucker for robots. and honestly even though it isn’t the perfect translation to Adventure 2 to the big screen as I had wished it’s not like I can’t play SA2 anymore.
-while I’m absolutely elated they didn’t chicken out and make GUN the good guys, I feel like their moral ambiguity could’ve been fleshed out a bit more. Like initially when commander Rockwell (had to google her name lmao) was looking for the Eclipse canon key and seemed frustrated that it wasn’t on the commander I was expecting the twist to be she had plans to use it for her own goals and it was gonna be a three way race between Sonic, Egg-men and GUN.
-to be honest there are plot points and whatever that felt like they needed more time to be developed but this is a movie so whatever
- THE SCENE WHERE SHADOW LOOKS SO CONFUSED, SCARED AND HURT WHILE BEING PUT INTO CRYOSTASIS??? /pos
-personally didn’t get the scorpion Vs mantis thing? Like I get the part that they’re scientists, brains over brawn and whatever but the exact choice to execute it like that felt a lil…idk strange? But anyways I wanna believe the whole Gerald scorpion thing is a potential nod to Spinball- I wanna believe.
-dunno how to feel about Gerald’s death like as funny as just ceasing to exist was nothing is ever gonna top that he deadass canonically died by firing squad 💖
-Yea like a Pavlovian bell I started getting emotional when the soundtrack started referencing the Final Scene track from SA2. SA2 was such a good game dude I hope it gets some sort of remaster at some point. Fuck dude. But on that note THE CREDITS SAID CITY ESCAPE? I MUST BE DEAF AS FUCK I DID NOT HEAR THAT SHIT 😭
POST CREDIT THOUGHTS
-As much as I expected Eggman to get killed off because of the whole Carrey retiring situation, a tad bit bummed because In my mind the perfect metal reveal would be if sonic & co. Didn’t know, and during a confrontation with ‘eggman’ the Liquid Metal melts away to reveal our favorite metal blue boy. Alas 😔
-yea obsessed with Metal showing up in the post credits sequence. I’m not sure if it’s implied sonic went fast enough to travel to the future? But like. I’m hoping that it’s not JUST Amy and she like takesss sonic to meet her friends so we can get a live action big n cream? I heard some people hoping for blaze and like yea.
-please I need SCU big. He better have whiskers and he better be the sweetest boy under the sun.
-METAL OVERLORD IN SONIC 4 OR BUST 🗣️
-felt the shadow reveal was abit lacking. Like yea ofc they’re not gonna kill off the biggest cash cow SEGA has. They could’ve at least used the “he’s still alive” reveal to introduce at LEAST OMEGA. On that note I’m curious how they’d execute his character IF they do 🤔
TLDR JUST PLAY SONIC ADVENTURE 2 /j

Note
Hi, hi. I saw your post about your OCs and they all seem really cool. Can you talk a little bit more about them? Thanks!
Oh, HELL yeah!
First off: Anastasia (she/her) and Anatole (they/them) Lancaster, a pair of mad scientist twins who each have their own ambitions but are most focused on taking care of their newest creation, Annabelle. Anastasia has figured out how to create souls, and mostly uses it to bring dolls to life, while Anatole is your classic Frankenstein-esque mad scientist---all about bioengineering, genetic mutations, and reanimation. Out of the two twins, Anastasia is definitely the most charming, and since she's absolutely gorgeous and incredibly sweet, she tends to put on an air of being a ditz around people who think less of her, so it's easier for them to trust her. Anatole, on the other hand, is every bit the slightly crazed, amoral workaholic who has a keen disdain for social niceties and a very twisted sense of humor. They're loosely based off of Coronabeth and Ianthe from The Locked Tomb.
The others all exist in the same universe---I'm still figuring out whether or not the Lancasters would get their own story or not---and it's kind of a neon-noir, retro-sci-fi, Amulet meets Nimona meets Starstruck kinda universe. Lots of vintage styles mixed with cyberpunk energy, mythical species like elves and goblins getting reframed as aliens, magic and cool tech and general craziness... you get it.
Ricky (he/they) and Sinead (they/she) Rosario are a pair of Bonnie-and-Clyde type criminals who travel through the galaxy, stealing from rich people and using it to fund their chain of nightclubs. Ricky's the charismatic grifter of the two, whose skills are all based on smooth talking and disguises, while Sinead's more of a classic stealth-and-acrobatics-type thief. They're very much in love with each other, and have a teen daughter named Melissa, aka Missy, who's definitely the hacker type. (Also, Ricky is a deep elf, while Sinead is... okay, I don't have the name for their species figured out, but they're basically a tiefling.)
Stella Drysdale (she/her) is a chaotic butch goblin who's the leader of Reject Radio---a techno-punk band by day, and a gang of thieves who steal from corporations and give back to the people in need by night, kind of like a Leverage situation. While she is the mastermind of the group, she can be more than a little reckless and sure of herself at times, which can lead to the gang getting into sticky situations more often than not. She also happens to be the surrogate daughter of Ricky and Sinead, along with---
Mol Shadowbone (she/her), a catlike alien who was raised in the main church of her planet, worshiping a god of light... until she figured out that she'd much rather be serving the trickster spirits, and jetted out of there with a stolen spaceship. After getting taken in by the Rosarios and immediately becoming lifelong best friends with Stella, Mol learned how to be one of the best cat (heh) burglars the galaxy had ever seen. Not to mention, she's got some pretty sick shadow powers out of her whole deal.
3B (she/her) is a worker robot who used to be one of many bots serving in a factory. But as what sometimes happens when a person isn't ready to die, her body became bonded with the soul of a college student who died in an accident. With very little memories but all of the girl's personality, she ran away from the factory in search of her old life, remembering faintly that she had a deep passion for all things music and theater. And eventually, she got fixed up by---
Noelle Raleigh (she/they), a deep elf with incredibly rich parents who worked in the film industry (her mom was a famous actress and her dad was a big movie exec), and who always had a love for computers and tech---as well as all things bright, fun, and whimsical. When she found 3B, the first thing she did was give her a makeover, as well as fixing her voicebox so she could actually sing, and the two of them soon became best friends. It didn't take long before they met Mol and Stella, and they rounded out the team with---
Jax Furukawa (they/them), a larger, cowlike alien who got a gig as an underground street fighter to help support their very large family. Despite the fact that they're a bit of a grump and has some slight loner tendencies, they've always had the healthiest home life out of every Reject Radio member, and they pretty much radiate big sibling energy. Also, they're dating 3B. It's super cute.
And lastly, our villains of the story are HIRO (he/him), an executive robot who's the CEO of a gigantic corporation, and his on-again, off-again boyfriend Percival Doyle (he/him), a fire elemental-type lawyer whose job essentially boils down to helping the company keep their hands clean. HIRO (whose name stands for Highly Intelligent Robotic Official) was made as a replacement body for the old CEO, but he's fundamentally his own person... though, he still retains his predecessor's utter disregard for anything other than order and profit. And Percival, well... he's just a cutthroat drama queen who's obsessed with power. These two have your stereotypical drama-filled celebrity relationship, consisting of a million breakups and flirtations with other men, but that's really just because they like making each other jealous. They do love each other to death, they're just awful people to everyone else.

if someone was on the fence abt checking out any of your hyperfixations, what would you tell them to persuade them to actually look into it?
basically: what do you think are the best points/parts of the hyperfixes?
Ooh, this is an interesting question! (Thank you for asking it!) I'll have to put some thought in my answer to this one. Or, since you guys are reading this after I've written it, I will have put some thought into this answer xD
Anyways! I'll go through each hyperfixation I mentioned in the QnA post piecemeal, starting with...
(continued under the cut because this one turned into kinda long one, whoops)
BIONICLE
I've already talked at about as much length as I've been able to get away with about Bionicle on this blog, including this post where I do my best to surmize the entire Bionicle canon, and this post where I was asked to show off my Bionicle collection. (Good times xD)
If someone's on the fence about Bionicle, I'd be honest and tell them that it's a story spread out of a great deal of expanded media (toys, comics, online serials, movies, and videos) that was all released between 2001 and 2010. Not that it'll be impossible to consume the story and enjoy it, but it might get a bit finnicky. xD
If you're willing to give it a try, though, you'll be met with, in my obviously biased opinion, a really damn good story. The fact that it's so sprawling, and there are so many smaller stories in it, means that the world feels incredibly realised, and there's probably at least half a dozen serials and comics that fit the exact tone your looking for; whether that tone is 'character gets cut in half by an interdimensional portal that closes on them while they're only partly through', or 'character makes a canon "I use two guns because I have two hands" joke'.
The real strength of the story, though, is that it's very cheesy in a lot of ways, but it's played straight enough, and delivered with enough heart, that it becomes very earnest and a joy to experience. It feels like a classic 'epic' story, akin to something like Lord of the Rings - in LOTR, Aragorn leads the Army of the Dead to save the besieged Minas Tirith from Sauron’s Orcs, and in Bionicle, Jaller leads the Ta-Koro Guard and the Gukko Force to save the Chronicler’s Company from the Rahi. It's that kinda vibe, you know? There's a lot of weird and crazy stuff inside (both in a whimsical sense and in a horrifying sense), but it's played straight, internally consistent, and manages to be cool more often than not. If that sounds like you're thing, then I think Bionicle might be worth checking out :)
TLDR BEST PART: 'Epic' story told across multiple media that's a lot of fun digging into
FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS
Oh, Fallout: New Vegas, my beloved. The more experienced with RPG videogames I've gained over the years, the more convinced I've become that New Vegas is the best RPG videogame. Ok, if you're on the fence about New Vegas, here's what I'd say: the level of narrative control that the player gets is incredible.
A lot of RPG games have an issue where you're kinda railroaded into a plot. To use other examples from the same series; in Fallout 3, you being from a vault with a scientist father is a non-negotiable aspect to your character. (And you probably murdered a whole bunch of security guards to actually leave the vault, whoops.) In Fallout 4, the game's entire plot hinges on whether you give a toss about your kidnapped son - if you don't, or you want to play a character that doesn't, there's a real lack of immersion in so much of the world you interact with, because the game takes for granted the idea that you're invested in the story they've come up with.
In Fallout New Vegas, you are linked to the plot by a single inciting incident (that I won't spoil here because I think it's kinda cool to experience lmao). You wake up, you spend like 8 minutes (or 30 seconds if you know what you want from the get-go) making your character, you leave the building you start in, and from then on, you have total narrative freedom. The plot runs entirely off of your own initiative - if you want to, you can go track it down from the get go (and most people do, because it's a good plot hook that raises a lot of intriguing questions), but if you want to, you can also ignore it completely!! You can follow it in multiple different ways, too - either following clues around the long end of the map, or beelining it through the most dangerous parts of the map straight to the city of New Vegas. And the way the dialogue and characters are written not only accounts for the choices you might make, but also doesn't PRESUME that you're going to deal with this plot, and doesn't force you to keep focusing your character on it all the time. It only comes up when other characters - who were involved in the plot before you ever came along - want to get you involved for their own benefit, and even then, you can feasibly tell 'em all to get stuffed if you want!
I've played through New Vegas like,,, 5-ish times, and I've gone in a different direction from that spawn more or less every time, and I've STILL had a fulfilling RPG experience that I can create a story out of every time so far! It almost feels like a sandbox game, and it's so weird and refreshing. For that aspect alone, I'd say it's worth giving a look! :D
(Also, uh, the actual plot and all of the side quests are really good, and the characters are really great and compelling, and the 4 story DLC are all separate experiences but also have their own interconnected story that coalesces into the last one which is really fuckin cool, and you can go on a mission to find a new brain for a cyborg dog that belongs to a leader of a gang of Elvis Presley impersonators, and also "Nobody's dick's that long. Not even Long Dick Johnson, and he had a fucking long dick, hence the name" is an actual line of dialogue. Just please play New Vegas if you have any interest in story-driven videogames. I'm begging ya.)
TLDR BEST PART: ludicrous amounts of player freedom to engage with a really well-written story how they see fit
MASS EFFECT
Uh, yeah. Me bigging up another RPG videogame right after I just said that New Vegas was the best one is probably a bit weird, huh? (Especially bc I stand by that statement, New Vegas slaps, go play it)
But here's the thing. Mass Effect does essentially drag you along on a story it's telling. But the story it's telling is - for the most part! - really fucking compelling and well-put-together. It's this big, longform story set in a Star Trek universe (intimate and interesting sci-fi detail) with Star Wars protagonists (interesting, violent, madcap characters), and as someone who's had a lot of fun with modern science fiction, it hit really well for me xD
Actually, I'd take it further than 'hit really well' - I honestly have no idea why it worked for me specifically, but it was the most engaging and, like, visceral gaming experience I can remember having. Project Overlord had me hunched over a sink genuinely worried I was gonna throw up, the Citadel DLC had me laughing out loud and gleefully liveblogging my whole experience to my friends who'd already played it, and the ending - lame as I'd heard it was gonna be - still left a pit in my gut, in a good way.
(I think in my case it helped that I played it with the perfect level of contextual knowledge vs. going in blind. I did my first playthrough with the Legendary edition (all 3 games + all DLC in one remastered package), so I wasn't missing out on anything, and I knew going in that the ending was bad enough that people were complaining about coloured lights almost a decade down the line, which meant that I'd built it up enough in my head that when it happened I was like "oh, that wasn't actually that bad".)
My TLDR is that it's a really really engaging story with some ESPECIALLY amazing character work (oh, man, the characters/companions and the dynamics you can build with them basically make this trilogy). Just get the legendary edition (because some of the best companions are technically DLC, because fuckin' EA), get a friend who's played it before to nudge you and make sure you don't miss any of the little details, and assume that the ending sucks, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. :D
(Also the 4th game (Andromeda) isn't as bad as a lot of people say it is but my fixation here is really on the original trilogy, so that's what I'm referring to with this one. Fingers crossed for the 5th installment!)
TLDR BEST PART: Fun adventure with really well-realised characters that grips you emotionally in a way that few videogames (to my knowledge) have been able to lay claim to
WARRIOR CATS
I think the most interesting thing about this series is that it's pretty raw? for a series that's marketed to children?? I'm aware that's not a unique thing, I know about Animorphs and Watership Down - and hey, I grew up on The Clone Wars - but it's still noteworthy! And what's cool about it in Warrior Cats, like it is in these other media, is that it doesn't really feel forced, or gratuitous, or even necessarily contradict the fact that it's media aimed at a younger audience (even if I'm not sure they wouldn't have gotten away with some of the stuff they did if it wasn't done with cats lmao).
The main plot compliments these darker elements as well - it's essentially a character drama built around secrets and political espionage, as well as an outsider's perspective clashing with longstanding traditions; exploring why those traditions are in place, but also what kind of damage they can cause.
And hey, the characters are good too! I'd argue that the 'Clan' dynamic hits its peak in the first series (the first 6 books) and never really reaches the same heights in later series, but I think every story arc so far has had multiple characters that people have really enjoyed. The fact that the entire series has taken place over -multiple generations- at this point is something that a lot of other media doesn't get the chance to do, and it serves a lot of Warrior Cats' longform storytelling really well (even if some of the writing decisions that the authors have made over the decades have been [???] lmao).
TLDR BEST PART: Longform dramatic storytelling that has some really compelling character and plotwork, and also has some grim shit happen without going over-the-top or being obnoxious about it
(Personally I'd recommend just the first 9 books in the series - that's the 'Prophecies Begin' series and the first half 'New Prophecy' series - because I think that's Warrior Cats at its peak, but there's things to enjoy in every story arc if you want to read further ^_^)

Aand that's me talking about those hyperfixations I mentioned! Sorry it took so long to finally publish an answer to this ask - a lot of thought went into this one xDD

okay i have a few paranormal/spiritual experiences to say, first hand and not, so bare with me please😭
my brother is young, and used to hide outside my room to try and scare me. i heard his footsteps running outside my room and his little giggle. i was standing right next to my door, ready to be jumpscared, so i knew it was coming exactly from there, the exact sound levels or whatever for him to be there. i got a weird gut feeling and genuinely started feeling scared so i said "i know you're there" and i heard his footsteps running to another room, so a few mins later i went to find him and question him and turns out he had been downstairs reading to my parents the whole time. like he was so bored he didnt even laugh once and that was his EXACT laugh.
i also once lucid dreamed (this was a while ago so i dont have the best memory of it) but i was in class in my dream and i realised i was dreaming and i said that to the girl next to me and she fr came out of character and was super chill about it but told me not to tell anyone i knew or they'll be in trouble or something along the lines of that
this is less deep but i was once in a graveyard alone and i literally heard a stereotypical witches cackle from a gravestone below me. that shit scared me so much like it sounds so movie-ish but that was my first paranormal experience so i pretty much shat myself
and this was my friend, but shes quite a spiritual person and she believed she summoned her grandma into her room, who she'd talk to every night and then one night on her story she said she was 'mistaken' and it wasn't her grandma, and that she is 'blocking out' a voice throughout school, and was describing it as like a demon
ty if you managed to read through all this ik its a lot😩
the first paragraph, hell nah, it's either your brother wants to trick you or there was literally a trickster spirit mimicking your brother. perchance that spirit was attached to your brother thus learning how to copy your brother's behaviour.
i want to understand why we shouldnt be aware that we're dreaming, or telling other people in the dream that we're dreaming. i would like to speak to a spirit to get an answer, perhaps it is because we become more aware and begin to see things we're not supposed to see? the human mind, we're curious and it is okay for us to learn, but we have limits. that's why there are such things like crazy scientists because they try and prove or learn things we're not supposed to know, thus the delirium due to the fact that it is too much for our brain to handle.
babe, what were you doing in a graveyard alone? perchance it was a spirit trying to taunt you.
even though your spiritual friend summoned her grandmother, or was trying to summon her grandmother. it doesnt matter how nice the person was in their physical life, if you're attempting to summon them, do a protection spell or protection prayer, because there are some bored nasty spirits that'll like to prey on the vulnerable.

002 for Oro if you will~
doot da doot yay memes | accepting !
Tumblr media
002 | Give me a character & I will tell you
How I feel about this character: NO BUT HONEEEYYYY, LEMME TELL YOU - i only got hooked on naruto bc this snakeperson!!! fr!! when i first saw orochi, i knew they were going to be one of the very best characters - i love orochi!!!
All the people I ship romantically with this character: i'm a multiship trash so it's no wonder that i also ship a lot of characters with orochi - my main otp for orochi is jiraoro!! i've recently got into madaoro as well as orotsu too, however my one true love is sakumo x orochi, also?? koji x orochi too bc i'm a whore
My non-romantic OTP for this character: i really like the idea of amado and orochimaru as a crazy scientist brotp - it's been eating my brain for some time now lmao
My unpopular opinion about this character: they are not as evil and unfeeling as they like to think ( and present ) themself to be - hear me out, i get that everything orochi did is BAD and AWFULLY INHUMAN BUT- you can see the emotions bubbling under the surface, they cry when killing the sandaime, they are visibly sad that nawaki ( and later jiraiya ) died, and so and so. for that reason i loved the turn the character had in boruto, even tho oro was nerfed a lot.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: a filler where they and jiraiya talk - either during the time they were on the same team or while jiraiya tracked them. we got something like it once but it was so brief that left me wanting more ( we also get to see that orochi took a technique that jiraiya uses and adapted it to fit their own abilities, which makes me so happy bc in a way that's orochimaru's own way of acknowledging that jiraiya is talented )
my OTP: sakumo x orochi and jiraoro for sure, but also?? orojiratsu & jiramadaoro ftw
my cross over ship: ofc it's gonna be muzan/orochi bc reasons
a headcanon fact: orochi sometimes ( not often, of course ) visits jiraiya's grave. doesn't say a word, nor prays or anything like that - but they sure smile when a warm breeze passes them when they are leaving, a sense of familiarity to it - as if jiraiya is watching over them from wherever he is ( spoiler: he is, and he's so happy oro came back to konoha )

raphael and maia taking cooking classes together <3 raphael and maia making new foods together to share with simon and meliorn <3 cozy nights in with good food and a (funny) bad movie to throw popcorn at after <3 they all falling asleep together on raphael's big couch ! -maiaisbia
aaaaa amazing!!!! tbh i can't imagine rapha taking cooking classes fr or at the VERY least he'd complain the whole time. he's like "taki's is a family restaurant this pretentiousness is going to ruin the essence of the food" and maia is like "you are the most dramatic man i've ever met" and rapha's like "i'm still right"
she tries to convince him with her reasoning - they never ran a whole restaurant before and it might be good to know a bit of the tricks from the pros even if taki's is and will always be a family restaurant. but what really convinces rapha is the "come on, for me?" and that little pout she makes as she looks up at him
(for a vampire, rapha is very, very weak)
anyway they go and rapha is lowkey in despair like "they are treating this like a science. they are sucking all the joy out of the food. this is terrible" and maia has to keep elbowing him to shut up, which really just means rapha keeps complaining, but with a teasing smile on this time
anyway cooking classes turn out to suck ass because the teacher is some pompous french guy who wouldnt know good food if it hit him in the face, considered spices to "taint" the food and constantly belittled non-white cuisine saying that our techniques are "wrong" and that our cuisine is "unpolished" (this is a direct nod to YOU, erick jacquin. fuck your ethnocentric white supremacist ass)
rapha and maia are both seething after like 10 minutes of this bullcrap and they only stay with the explicit purpose of Making Him Mad. they go extra hard on the chile and force him to eat a dish so spicy rapha would have cried. rapha uses superspeed to get rid of his chair right as he was going to sit on it at least once. maia seriously considers setting him on fire. they both still pass the class because they KNOW what theyre doing, thank you very much
anyway the next time they decide to take cooking classes they go to a little class with a wonderful black cuban teacher who Gets It and actually gives them a few tips on restaurant-running specifically since the most difficult parts are the ones unrelated to cooking susnsid. and they end up actually having a lot of fun together and learning a lot of things they didn't know. the environment is one where people are encouraged to share their knowledge and culture and there are people from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds and yeah, they have fun. they even end up making a few good friends, even if the relationships are limited due to the fact that theyre mundane
rapha begrudgingly admits that okay, maybe cooking classes aren't so bad if the people in it actually care about food. and maia agrees that okay, no more pretentiousness
(really, she was just nervous about Taki's, because this is all new to her and she wanted to be As Prepared As Possible. and the french guy was considered the best, so, why not go to the best? rapha hugs her and kisses her forehead for her troubles and says "i'm sorry it didn't work out the way you wanted, cariño" and maia feels a little better)
(besides, she knows they're gonna rock this as long as they're doing it together. if they survived that cooking class, they can do anything)
and they come back with so many ideas and immediately go to the kitchen and spend all afternoon there trying out stuff like crazy scientists, which then inevitably everyone (luke, alaric, magnus, simon, mel) is invited to try and give their opinions on. most of what they've done is incredible and they're all delighted. magnus lowkey entertains the idea of using a spell to get rid of the fullness so they can eat more and there are STILL leftovers. they take them to an elderly home because of course they do
and then yes lying together in the couch and cuddling and laughing about their wonderful day together, the success of their dishes, and the stupid french guy's face when he fell off the chair 🥺

Will you catch me if I fall for you?
Elu Marvel AU
mostly written for @anxetyt1me and everyone else that are going to enjoy this
Summary:
Eliott is an ambitious archer boy who decides to join the Avengers when an opportunity crosses his way. Little does he know that his heart is going to be captured by one of the twins HYDRA experimented on. Lucas and his twin sister Manon just survived the attack of Ultron in Sokovia, but they are already training to become Avengers. The boy is a cheeky bastard who likes playing games. This time his target is Eliott and he can always get what he wants.
Enjoy *finger guns*
Eliott knew the compound will be huge, he saw it on tv, but he was still in shock as he got out of his taxi. He paid for the ride, it wasn’t cheap, but he was willing to sacrifice all he had just to get here. He grabbed the strap of the quiver attached to his torso, feeling the weight of the steel arrows and his bow pulling him down. It felt like his legs were turned into concrete, heavy and immovable. Every step was like an eternity, his palms started sweating as he made his way inside the gigantic front yard towards the Avengers building. There was a chopper on his right, just waiting on the parking spot, ready to fly away at anytime. He knew the people who lived inside wouldn’t use it, they had flying supersuits, special wings, superpowers and quinjets. They liked to make a fancy entrance, especially Tony Stark. Not like any of this mattered in this exact moment.
He swallowed the lump in his throat, continuing his road towards the front of the building. Feet still heavy, heart thumping, threatening to burst out of his chest. Now that would be a good introduction.
As he got closer, he had to squint his eyes, protecting it from the piercing sunlight that was reflecting from the gigantic windows. The weather was nice, not too hot, soft clouds swimming through the endless, blue pool above. He stopped, looking at his outfit. Black leather, tight and well fitting, belts snaking around his waist, his thighs, keeping his throwing knives - silver ones with handles carved out of bones - safe. Boots perfectly melted on his feet, thick sole, strengthened with steel. Hands covered in leather gloves that let his fingers free, except the index and middle finger on his right one. Designed especially for professional archers like him.
He got kicked out of his thoughts rather literally when a blue flash appeared out of nowhere. During his years of hard practice and training, it was clear that his senses were extraordinary, just like his reflexes, but he still had problems focusing his attention. That’s what made this situation possible where he was laying on the ground, the handle of his bow hardly pressed to his back as a feet on his chest placed pressure on him. Gasping for air he tried to open his eyes, which wasn’t so easy considering the sun was shining right at his face, but then a shadowy silhouette leaned over him. His eyelids fluttered open, trying to take in his surroundings and for a second Eliott was sure it would be less blinding to stare at the sun.
The boy was gorgeous. Fluffy brown hair surrounding a beautiful, smooth face with perfectly curved nose, pink lips and those damn blue eyes. Eliott wasn’t a poetic boy, but he could write long essays about the beauty of just those irises alone. He knew he was staring, mouth agape, not able to form the words, but it seemed like the boy had a clue who he was. With a slight movement he tilted his head to the side, cocking an eyebrow. The smirk that appeared on his face was probably the most beautiful thing Eliott had ever seen, hands down.
“You are the boy Clint is waiting for?” He spoke up and fuck, his voice was soft and smooth like warm honey, having a slight french accent, which just made him 1000 times more attractive. His foot was still pressing the archer boy down, not like he had any problems with it. He could put a leash around his neck, there wouldn’t be a complaint coming from his side.
After long minutes of just staring into each other’s eyes, Eliott realized that there was a question he needed to answer. The boy above him didn’t seemed to be annoyed, on the contrary there was a playful spark in those ocean blue eyes. Trying to take a deep breath wasn’t a good idea considering he was pinned to the ground, but he did anyways, just to help himself find some confidence to speak with this angel.
“Yes…” he muttered, voice sounding rather raspy. “My name is Eliott.” He managed to say it, but he kept finding himself at a loss of words under the gaze of the person above him.
“Welcome to the Avengers compound, pretty boy.” He said, leaning down even more and with that placing more pressure on Eliott’s already hurting chest. “You are going to have fun.” He added with a cheeky smile on his pretty face. Eliott knew he would already do anything for this boy without a single question just to see him smile again. He was pretty much fucked.
“Lucas, what are you doing?” The high pitched voice came from where the entrance of the gigantic building was. Eliott could see the outlines of a girl, slim body, wearing black skirt, a grey shirt with a scarlet red jacket. Her curly hair was like a brown waterfall, surrounding a pretty face. Eliott could notice the similarities between her and the boy, Lucas’ features, not mentioning the soft French accent of both.
“Nothing.” He replied and within a blink of an eye the pressure was gone from Eliott’s chest.
He could only see the blue flash as the angelic boy returned to his sister. Now he knew who they were, the Lallemant Twins, Lucas and Manon. Orphans that were used by the psychopath HYDRA scientists, experimenting and torturing them, making them have special powers to then use them as weapons against their enemies. But they got out, sided with the Avengers and helped them defeat the army of Ultron, the crazy robot that tried to drop the city of Sokovia on the Earth to destroy humanity with it. Of course Eliott didn’t know the details, but he had seen a lot of videos, read articles and interviews with people who were there during the battle. Lots of the citizens died or got hurt, it was a hard price to pay for saving everyone else. That’s what it means being an Avenger, Eliott knew it.
He slowly got up from the ground, being sure that his back has a bow handle shaped hole now. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t take his eyes off the boy, who was now having a quiet conversation with his twin sister. He just realized what Lucas was wearing and he just didn’t know how to process that sight. The pants were fine, loose ones, black colored with two white stripes on the sides of his thighs, but the top… He was wearing a well fitting, long sleeved shirt, a combination of dark blue and grey mixing on it with lighting bolt shaped white stripes just on the place where his stomach area started. And it was tight, like really tight.
Without realizing that he started walking forward, he suddenly found himself being close enough to catch some of their talk. It turned out to be difficult to focus on the actual words being said while seeing and hearing Lucas speak. The boy was just so soft and beautiful, Eliott couldn’t believe he actually fought with an army of lethal robots alongside big names like Clint Barton, Thor or Captain America. It just seemed impossible for this soft looking boy to hurt even a fly.
“-cking care what he said, I’m going to handle this one.” Lucas sounded just a little bit frustrated as he was talking to his sister. Manon looked at Eliott over her brother’s shoulder and then let out a frustrated sigh.
“Fine, but I am not going to save your ass from Clint again.” She said and with a smooth movement she spun around on her heels, disappearing behind the glass door.
Eliott just stood there dumbfounded, as the other turned to him, wide smirk plastered to his face. Realization hit like a truck, only noticing now how small the boy in front of him actually was. He could hug him from behind, resting his chin on the top of his head easily. And damn if that didn’t make him want this brunette even more.
“So, why are you here actually?” Lucas asked, trying to sound nonchalant with little success. He opened the door for the tall one who nodded as thanks, walking inside.
~°~
Eliott was glad when they arrived to the training room where Clint Barton waited for them. Their walk was really awkward, at least to him, Lucas seemed to enjoy circling around him, asking the most random things. ‘How old are you?’ ‘Where are you from?’  ‘Are those knives on you thighs?’ ‘Wanna try throwing one at me?’ ‘Is this your natural hair color?’ ‘Can I touch your hair?’ ‘You wanna touch my hair?’ Of course he could barely stutter out a few words, completely embarrassing himself. This was the first time he felt so nervous around someone that he lost his voice and wasn’t able to speak. Usually he had too much confidence, being aware of his looks and skills, but this very short and also very fast boy seemed to make him turn into a shy, stuttering mess.
As he stepped into the huge, empty room made out of steel and concrete. Half of the floor was covered in what looked like auburn linoleum, while the other half had epdm rubber flooring. In the middle stood the guy himself. The person Eliott looked up for ever since he heard the rumors about him. Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, the best archer in the whole world. Hair perfectly styled, oil green shirt loosely hanging on his well trained body, tight jeans wrapped around his legs, tucked into black boots. Suddenly his nervousness got doubled, hands getting sweaty. Lucas stepped forward, putting his hands on his waist. The man squinted his eyes at him before his face broke into a wide smile.
“There you are, you little bastard. I was looking for you.” Cint said, walking to the boy and patting him on the shoulder. “I see you found my visitor.” his eyes wandered towards the tall boy, who had to swallow, wiping off the sweat from his palms.
“Yeah, he’s fun, but very quiet.” Lucas responded, now turning around, another pair of eyes landing gazes on Eliott.
“I… My name is Eliott.” he managed to force out the words. This would be much more easier, if that angelic brunette wouldn’t be there with them in the room.
“Yeah, I know.” Clint said, looking at the boy next to him now. “Leave us alone, Lucas. I think you have training with Nat and Manon today.” he said cocking an eyebrow, sounding like a father who’s talking to his rather stubborn son. It was endearing to see this kind of relationship that Eliott could never had in his life.
His father left him and his mother when he was just a baby, not even bothering to pay child support or visiting his son. He grew up in bad circumstances, struggling with money, which lead his mother to borrow cash from the most shady people. That’s why she ended up with a bullet in her head, that’s why Eliott got captured when he was 12, being tortured and trained to be their deadly assassin. To their bad luck, they couldn’t erase all the memories he shared with the mother they killed, so he waited. When the perfect opportunity came, he killed them all and escaped. Since then he was roaming the countries, leaving Paris and all its filth behind. Until he found out that the Avengers are looking for rookies, training them to become fighters. So he called the number, talked to a few people and now he was here. After long years of suffering, loneliness and fear, he found the place where he can get a reason to live.
He got dragged out of his spiraling thoughts when a blue flash, probably Lucas passed by him, leaving with the feeling of soft fingers brushing through his hair. It was so sudden and unexpected that he almost lost his balance, barely saving himself of landing on his back yet again. That boy really liked to play with him, using his speed to get maximum advantage.
“I’m sorry about the kid.” Spoke Clint now, walking closer to Eliott, who quickly shook his head as weak try to get rid of the clinging feeling of the brunette’s touch. “I guess he’s excited. He is not allowed to leave the compound, so he doesn’t really have the chance to meet new people.” He explained with a soft smile on his face.
“How old is he?” Eliott decided to ask, because he was genuinely curious about the boy. It felt like something inside him was pulling him towards Lucas, like they were connected.
“He’s 17, too young if you ask me.”
“Life doesn’t care how old you are, it just throws shit at your face and expects you to handle it.” Eliott replied, looking at his personal hero, who seemed to be impressed by his words.
“I can’t wait for you to meet Nat, I think she would like you.” He said smirking.
~°~
A whole week passed, filled with long hours of training with either Clint or Natasha. They were really good, like real professionals, which made Eliott realize that his skills weren’t much above average compared to them. But this just kept fueling his determination to become stronger, faster, never missing a shot.
Sometimes as he met Lucas on the hallways or in the kitchen, but they didn’t have much time to talk both of them occupied with their own training. It still couldn’t make the archer boy forget about that soft touch or ignore the way sometimes the other was looking at him. Those ocean blue eyes haunted his dreams, chasing away the usual nightmares he had ever since he slaughtered his torturers. He knew they were bad people, that they deserved to die, if not for their other crimes, then just for killing his innocent mother. And still flashes of spilling blood, echoes of death screams and the sight of lifeless bodies were the only thing he could hear and see once he closed his eyes. Up until he met this gorgeous boy.
It was Tuesday, his usual training were canceled due to a mission both Natasha and Clint had to participate in. Something happened that involved a guy named Brock Rumlow, so Captain Rogers decided to follow the leads. Eliott only had the chance to see the actual big names from afar considering both Tony Stark and Captain America were busy people. He once had a chance to chat with Sam Wilson, he’s a sympathetic dude with great humor, Eliott liked him a lot. Then there was Manon, the quiet one out of the twins. She’s spending most of her time with either Vision, the android with crazy powers or Natasha, trying to learn how to use her abilities in battle.
Since there wasn’t much thing for him to do without training, he decided to spend his time outside by the river. He sat on the side of the wooden platform, back resting to one of the pillars that held the roof above his head. He looked at the sketchbook placed on his lap, opened on two blank pages, pen laying on his right ear. It was a long time ago since he had time to actually draw something, but he knew exactly what - or more like who - he wanted to draw. The person that got stuck in his mind ever since they met on the driveway of the compound. Someone with eyes so blue that the sky feels jealous, the ocean wants to hide by the sight of them.
He let out a deep sigh, dragging his eyes away from the sketchbook to the calm water, trying to enjoy the quiet. There wasn’t any noise coming from inside the building like always, no one was arguing with F.R.I.D.A.Y. or training with explosives. There wasn’t a thing that could ruin this perfect moment. At least he thought so, until a certain fast boy appeared out of nowhere, creating a wind that almost flew Eliott’s sketchbook out of his lap into the river. Thankfully he had enough consciousness to catch it in time, saving it from getting soaked. He shot an angry look at the short boy, who was standing in front of him now, innocent smile plastered to his face. He was wearing sports grey sweatpants and a white shirt with the word ‘Désir’ written on it. Eliott hated the fact how he looked fucking gorgeous in those clothes too.
“How’s it going?” he asked, running his fingers through the already disheveled hair. Eliott rolled his eyes, clutching his sketchbook to his chest to protect it from the chaos that this brunette was.
“I was doing fine just a second ago.” Eliott replied. Just because he had a crush on this demonic angel, it didn’t mean he can’t be annoyed with his behavior. During the time he had spent here, it became crystal clear that Lucas lived on annoying the hell out of everyone. Which wasn’t that hard considering his abilities.
“Wow, someone’s grumpy.” he smirked and crouched down just so their eyes could be on the same level. “I didn’t know you are drawing.” he said, nodding his head towards the sketchbook.
“Only when I have time.” He said, his sudden anger starting to fade away, giving more space to the fucking nervousness again. This boy was affecting him in ways no one ever did before, which was a tad bit scary. Like the way he smiled made his heart beat crazy fast. “What do you want anyways?” he managed to ask.
“Well, since we both have some free time, I thought we could hang out.” he shrugged and sat down now too, pulling up his knees to his chest, resting his arms on it. Eliott tried not to focus on the veins that were clearly visible on his hands and forearms like this.
“I would prefer to be alone.” He mumbled and that was the biggest lie in the history, because he wanted Lucas to stay, even if they don’t talk.
“Yeah, I don’t care. I am going to stay.” He said with a wide smirk, resting his chin on his arms now, long eyelashes fluttering at him. Eliott was afraid that his heart is going to burst out of his chest. “So… you are an archer boy and an artist? What other talents you have?” He asked curiously, wiggling his perfectly curving eyebrows. The tall one sighed and dragged his eyes away from the boy, just to make talking easier.
“That’s all basically. I am good at shooting and throwing stuff. I rarely miss my target.” His eyes followed a piece of grass floating down the river. This place was so calming and peaceful. It was a long time ago since he got a chance to appreciate nature and its beauty in any kind of way. He forgot how nice the summer breeze can feel on a heated day. How beautiful water looks when it’s mirroring the cloudless, bright blue sky. Everything in this world seemed to be so nice, innocent and sweet in this very moment, almost letting him forget about all the horrors he had seen in his life. All the things he had done. People he killed, tortured and hurt. These just faded away in the bright sunlight, the soft wind taking them far away, leaving nothing but serenity behind.
“What about the drawing?” Lucas voice dragged him out of his thoughts so suddenly he got startled, letting his sketchbook go that was falling towards the water. Everything happened so fast, but within a blink of an eye, his sketchbook as home from his sight. He turned his head towards the boy in front of him, the black notebook in his hands. “That was close.”
“Can you give me back?” He blurted out instead of saying thank you, which was not very polite, but he couldn’t care less. That sketchbook was too important for him.
“What will I get if I give you back?” Lucas asked, playful smile appearing on his face as he got up and took a few steps back, keeping the notebook behind himself. Eliott squinted his eyes at the boy.
“Nothing, that’s mine!”
“But I saved it for you, therefore I deserve a reward, right?” He kept grinning as the archer boy got up, trying to get his sketchbook back, but he started just swaying around quickly and flawlessly.
“No, it’s not how it works. Give it back, Lucas!”
“Come and get it, Robin Hood!” He smirked, sticking out his tongue, slowly backing towards the building. Eliott walked forward with a determined look on his face, but deep inside he kinda enjoyed this little play. Lucas was adorable as he used his speed to get an advantage over him every time he tried to get back the little book.
“You are so annoying! Give it back!”
“I want a reward!”
“What reward?” Eliott sighed, stopping now, placing his hands on his waist. The other one also staying put, looking at him mischievously.
“Stay there and close your eyes.” he replied, bouncing on his feet excitedly. It was just so fucking adorable that Eliott couldn’t resist him, so he just let out a defeated sigh, closing his eyes slowly. He could feel the wind brushing through his hair, his nose filling with a scent he couldn’t recognize at first. It was like the smell of air right after the storm. Then before he could react, soft lips touched his own ever so slightly and carefully like being afraid of rejection. He opened his eyes just a little, taking in the sight of Lucas being so damn close, his features seemed even more beautiful, eyelashes casting long shadows on his pink cheeks. Hair falling to his face, making him look like the young, innocent boy he actually was. And fuck if Eliott didn’t fell for him in that exact moment.
His hands moved on their own, grabbing the brunette’s waist, pulling him so close their bodies were almost pressed at each other and he captured those cherry lips with his own. He could feel the boy gasping into the kiss, the notebook falling out of his hands, landing on the wooden floor with a soft thump. Soft hands were snaking their way up on Eliott’s back, grasping into the black shirt he was wearing. Their kiss started off slow, searching, trying to see how far they can go with the other. In the next moment Eliott found himself pressed to a wooden pillar, the rough material digging into his skin, while a soft body was grinding on his front side. That was probably the best thing he had ever felt. With one hand he kept holding the boy’s waist, while the other was sliding down to grab his thigh, pulling him even closer.
After long minutes of kissing and trying to eat up the other’s face, Eliott pulled back, examining the boy, his flushed cheeks, swollen lips and his ocean eyes that were filled with desire. At least his shirt was accurate, which made the older one smirk. Lucas smirked back at him, fingers gripping into Eliott’s messy locks, pulling him down for an open mouthed kiss this time. Tongues swirling around each other. Not even the soft summer breeze could cool down their bodies now that they were burning in passion.
Their heated up making out session was disturbed by the sound of the Avengers quinjet landing not too far from them. The boys broke apart, looking into each other’s eyes, smiling like idiots. Before Eliott could say a word, Lucas grabbed his hand, squeezing it slightly and started to walk towards the building with him.
“Let’s go and welcome the others.” he said on a cheerful tone, trying to fix his mess of a hair with his free hand. Eliott let out a heartfelt laugh and placed a soft kiss on the top of his head.
“Sure thing, Sonic.” he muttered into his hair to which he got a disapproving look from the boy.
“Fuck off.”
“Nah, you convinced me to stay. Now you gotta deal with my shit.” his smile didn’t seem to disappear anytime soon and damn if that wasn’t feeling good. Lucas gasped, placing his hand over his heart, faked shock plastered to his face.
“Oh, mon dieu! What have I done to myself?” voice dripping from sarcasm, while he was still holding Eliott’s hand. The tall boy laughed, pulling him closer and disentangling their fingers just so he could throw his arm around Lucas’ shoulder, realizing how well he fits there.
“Just shut up.”
“Make me!” Lucas retorted, stopping in their tracks, turning his head to the side. That expectant look on his face was so alluring and sweet, Eliott couldn’t resist. Why would he resist? Therefore he closed the short distance between them, locking their lips together in a soft, slow kiss.
When the weight disappeared from under him alongside with the soft mouth that was pressed to his just a second ago, he almost lost his balance, landing on the floor. He heard laughing from afar, turning his head towards the sound. Lucas was standing in the doorway, leaning to the frame, swinging Eliott’s sketchbook in his hands victoriously.
“Come on, Robin Hood! We have to go.” he said with his cheeky smile that made the tall boy’s heart beating faster. He shook his head with a soft laugh, jogging towards the building where the other was waiting for him.
Now in this very moment Eliott felt like his life had a reason, that all those things happened to him in the past weren’t just to fuck him over, but to lead him towards this moment. He was meant to be here, meeting Lucas, falling for him. It sounded cheesy, so he would probably never admit it out loud, but in this playful boy he found his reason to keep going. And so he will, because he is not gonna let anyone take this away from him. Not this time.

On Intercessory Prayer, Reiki and the Greater Good
Intercessory Prayer is the place you offer to God that something you need will occur or that something you don't require won't occur. In these cases, you are referencing that God "mediate" for your preferred position. It has been a touch of most religions for a long time and ages. Regardless, accomplishes it work?
In all actuality, a few years sooner an assessment ( Study of the Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer (STEP) in heart avoid patients: a multicenter randomized basic of shortcoming and sureness of getting intercessory claim. Am Heart J.2006 Apr;151(4):934-42) was finished by a party of agents (Benson H, Dusek JA, Sherwood JB, Lam P, Bethea CF, Carpenter W, Levitsky S, Hill PC, Clem DW JR, Jain MK, Drumel D, Kopecky SL, Mueller PS, Marek D, Rollins S, Hibberd PL.) The assessment offered the impact of solicitation a chance the pace of tries following coronary deftly course stay away from combine (CABG) clinical procedure Breakthrough Prayer .
Three get-togethers of patients were related with the appraisal: the individuals who were prompted they would get intercessory claim to support their recuperation (601 patients,) the individuals who were told they may get intercessory demand and did (601 patients,) and the individuals who were told they may possibly get it in any case didn't (597 patients.) Quoting from the speculative: RESULTS: In the 2 social affairs sketchy about getting intercessory appeal, loads happened in 52% (315/604) of patients who got intercessory demand versus 51% (304/597) of the individuals who didn't (relative threat 1.02, 95% CI 0.92-1.15). Difficulties happened in 59% (352/601) of patients sure of getting intercessory demand separated and the 52% (315/604) of those unsure of enduring intercessory advance (relative risk 1.14, 95% CI 1.02-1.28). Basic occasions and 30-day mortality were equivalent over the 3 get-togethers. Terminations: Intercessory demand itself had no impact on chaos free recuperation from CABG, yet sureness of getting intercessory claim was associated with a higher repeat of complexities.
What are we to think about that? Is it conceivable that intrigue could make more prominent complexities happen? One may battle that if the patients recognized they were being locked in God for, they may have gone up against more challenges or may have improved a than normal undertaking in isolation to recover. Regardless, we are discussing post-usable complexities, not way of life changes. The employable factors here are passing occasions rapidly fusing the clinical system, not steady way of life factors with since quite a while back, reinforced proposals.
Obviously this assessment was done with astounding sound structure, purposefully spread out. In any case, in their authentic conviction, the scientists neglect to consider factors that make reality work. In the affirmations of a persistent accomplice "they utilized horrendous exacting perspective." on a significant level I concur with this, yet I would word it in a frightening way. In my view the best factor these scientists dismissed was that of unpretentiousness. Certainly, the truth is unusual most definitely: HUMILITY.
Where did I consider that thought? Hold tight for me here - this gets somewhat tangled. Beforehand a companion comfortable me with the solicitation for Reiki. On the off chance that you are intrigued about this, Reiki is such a noteworthiness that urges the body's capacity to recoup itself. At any rate that is the authority, at an advantageous time clarification. Magnanimous, at any rate it is far past that!
As per the force starting clarification, an individual who has been available to Level One Reiki can on a very basic level lay their hands on somebody and similarly move some centrality that will help with modifying state a physical issue or a touch of the recipient's body that has torment. Notwithstanding the way that the instrument of development isn't obvious to me even until today, the essential idea was central enough. I was unimaginably mindful, at any rate the practically identical day I as of late found a few solutions concerning it, I permitted my partner to give me the "attunement" that moved this recuperating vitality to my hands. In coming about months I utilized it every once in a while for minor a throbbing painful quality, about in a relative vein as that wherein Bensen and Dusek's social affair completed their assessment on request: "to check whether it worked!"
While clearly it was not engage and couldn't do the incredible, after a short time, this showing of Reiki had earned enough as far as anyone knows that I comprehended the open door had shown up to develop my abilities to the going with level. In Level Two Reiki I had heard, it was conceivable, not exclusively to move the fixing centrality in a hands-on way, yet despite send it to a craving. Actually it was even conceivable to send it over parcels to help recuperate somebody extravagantly far away to genuinely contact. I pushed toward the multi day instructional social affair with some extent of disquiet. I was enabled in any case pushed: "would I say I was being cleared into something superfluously 'out there' for my for the most part 'at the present time' self?"
Bearing the instructional course, one idea jumped out at me as basic. "Reiki should dependably be utilized for "everyone's bit of leeway." You can't utilize it to control individuals." For instance, you were unable to send Reiki to the target that your most recognizably ghastly foe will break his leg. Not that I was expecting to control or damage anybody, yet this was enthralling to me. What was this "more obvious mind boggling" the instructor discussed? Who precisely would pick everyone's bit of leeway in some subjective circumstance??? While I promptly comprehended the probability that one couldn't control an individual or a condition with Reiki, it was some time before I comprehended the hugeness of the chance of "everyone's bit of leeway."
Not long after the instructional social event, I was delineating my new Level Two Reiki aptitudes to a mate - a non-demanding accomplice, who I thought would be correspondingly questionable - when to my amaze she reported "Liberal, so it would appear that request by at that point!" all things being equal I was insulted and paralyzed by this. My perspective on request at the time took in the wake of referencing charm. I was not inclined to addressing God for solitary kindnesses from a human God I didn't take trust in - and I was cheerful for it.
In any case I kept utilizing the Reiki and after some time my view of it kept making. A tiny bit at a time I came to see that piece of what was gathered by that "more fundamental unprecedented" included having the HUMILITY to comprehend that what I need to occur in some discretionary circumstance may not be the best thing by and large. With this brilliant mechanical gathering in my grasp - permitting me to send correcting vitality to a wide extent of clashing conditions and to individuals with different sicknesses - by what strategy may I have the choice to, in my bound humanness, know all the variables? In some unpredictable condition, whatever target I sent to, I would need to permit that I didn't in actuality comprehend what result would be great. I held no choice to choose and ask that MY WILL be done - I could basically send criticalness to "everyone's preferred position" and trust the Reiki, or whoever was offering it, to "know" the capability.
Here is an ideal model that was going on definitely at the open entryway I was coming to full assertion of this. One of my kinfolk was experiencing inconvenience in his marriage. I chose to send Reiki to his relationship with his life partner. Understanding "everyone's bit of leeway" thought necessitated that I have the HUMILITY to get that, much as I had a solid trust in the relationship being insinuated thrive, my sending Reiki could have the impact of helping it to end. My sending Reiki derived surrendering my eagerness for the result and tolerating that my endeavors would help "everyone's favorable position" with occurring - regardless of whether that proposed I would push the non-bolstered result. In the event that it was the ideal open entryway for their relationship to end, my Reiki could assist that with happening snappier, potentially with less wretchedness and malignance, yet end regardless. It was an authentic undertaking for me to perceive this. Much as I taking advantage of my sister in law, and much as I didn't require my kinfolk detached, I expected to perceive that my place was basically to send "for everyone's potential benefit in their relationship." ...and NOT to the point of attempting to spare their marriage!
Reliably, there were different chances to help individuals by sending Reiki. Some gave signs of progress, some kicked the bucket. Some developed, some got disconnected. The open door for lowliness started from recognizing it was not I who was answerable for the framework, regardless of whether you need to call it bid, Reiki or crazy reasoning. I expected to understand how to build up the quietude to see that everyone's favorable position (whoever or such a being was picking absolutely what that more significant inconceivable was) was something past my insight and outside my ability to get a handle on.
So if Reiki looks like solicitation, and as a general rule, straightforwardly these years a while later, I can say I perceive how it is - it isn't so essential to whom precisely you importune. In the event that there is an eminent being up there with any ordinariness or viewpoint, he would perceive your solicitation, your relating or your Reiki sending, paying little notice to who or what you think you are sending it to. Just a man-made, minimal detested god would essentially look at petitions sent explicitly to a limited idea of him in light of a specific objective from a specific get-together of his family, to the degree anyone knows maintained by him over all the rest!

I want mary and stede to be friends so bad. I want stede to stop by for tea wearing a fake nose and beard a la jim whenever they’re docked nearby and him and mary to catch up and gossip about what’s going on with his crew and mary’s widow group and ed and doug. I want mary to hide her giggles behind a tea cup when the dastardly blackbeard comes up in conversation because that’s the man that stede brought over for christmas last year who looked terrified most of the night and then argued with her daughter for a good two hours about snakes. I want stede to raid a ship halfway across the world and find one of mary’s paintings someone had bought and be so proud of what she’s accomplished. I just want them to be besties

I think one of the best things ofmd did was start episode 10 with mary’s pov. It was so important to see how trapped she also was in the marriage and how she was flourishing on her own and that she is truly her own story’s protagonist and if we hadn’t just spent nine episodes following stede we would absolutely be cheering for her to murder her deadbeat husband who had the audacity to abandon her and then try to take it back like it was nothing. She’s such a cool character and I’m so glad she was given the same complexities as stede especially since media is often so quick to vilify female characters in her position and I’m so glad and that we were able to see this glimpse into her mind
