It seemed almost like a running joke now. Even on arguably the most safe && remote island in japan, their class would still manage to run into critical danger. 

“ I think I’m going grey, “ Toshinori would laugh as they finally finished up all that they could for the day. Stepping down the dirt path that lead to the shoreline on second night here after they had dropped everything at the news Hawk’s had given them. Still notably stressed. Hoping a walk to view the beautiful beach && sunset would calm their nerves. 

Most of the beach was surrounded by security still. But he knew of at least one small strip of shore where they could be truly alone. At least for a minute to catch their thoughts. 

It was a beautiful Island, when he looked past all the destruction the attack has caused. The golden sand felt soft against his toes. Still warm even after the quickly fleeting sun had already set. 

But something else caught his eye as they casually spoke about, for once in the past two days, less important things. The way Shouta looked so at ease when he talked about what they stay cat back home did the other day. How he smiled without knowing it && eyes lit up. 

It was magnetic. && when they stopped he could feel the way their bodies drew closer. What should be embarrassing only feeling so intense that it can’t be wrong. Even when the adrenaline stops him from realizing he’s already leaning in to press his lips with Aizawa’s own before it’s too late. The warm weight already there.

He holds him a bit tighter in case his shorter colleague began to struggle. “Consider this a direct intervention for the sake of your health.” He turns away from the awaiting coffee maker and treks towards the staff room.

lucky  to  be  alive .  that  was  what  they  had  said ,  though  the  blond  thinks  that  might  be  a  little  bit  of  an  over  exaggeration . luckily , however , he  was  smart  enough  to  keep  his  mouth  shut .  there  was  no  need  to  egg  Aizawa  on  further  than  he  clearly  already  was .  fidgeting  where he  sat , the  elder  had  made  it  very  clear  that  he  was  more  than  upset  and  very  nearly  livid  at  this  point .  threatening  to  call  his  father  ---  as  though  the  man  would  remotely  care . 

                    ‘ what  were  you  thinking ?! ‘ 

the  words  make  the  blond  flinch .  he’d  just  been  trying  to  help , putting  himself  in  the  line  of  fire  in  order  to  protect  one  of  his  downed  classmates .  had  it  been  the  most  intelligent  idea ?  perhaps  not .  had  it  worked  in  the  long  run ?  also  no .  it  had  left  the  blond  needing  medical  attention  and  put  an  end  to  training  class  fairly  quickly . 

     “ I  was  just   trying  to  protect  them ... “ 

his  voice  is  small , bones  steeped  in  exhaustion  and  a  horrible  ache .  had  he  expected  a  round  of  applause  or  a  pat  on  the  back ?  no .  though  he  hadn’t  quite  expected  to  be  scolded  this  harshly .

well folks, this is it. by some miracle, 150 of you guys decided to click that follow button for little ol’ me, and for some reason after seeing all the shit I post, decided to stay. uuhhhh wow-  ya’ll sure need some higher standards >-< I honestly can’t thank you all enough for all of the love and support I’ve received !! Hizashi has been pining Shouta since the very fucking beginning. Many of Hizashi’s crushes has been quick to fade off, but never the one on Shouta. 

Hizashi can be too affectionate sometimes and Shouta just kind of. Shoves him off sometimes when he needs to focus on grading. Hizashi will pout like a drama king for a bit but when Shouta’s done, he’ll come cuddle up and everything’s right in the world again

They trust each other with their lives but at the same time neither of them will trust the other with caffeine

Hair care and braiding is a common soft gesture in their household

Even though their affection styles are wildly different, they can still both agree that cuddling is the best and it helps them both sleep 1000% better than alone/not
